Analysis of Sloping Ground When Lifting with Force Platform (힘판을 이용한 들기 작업시의 경사면 분석)

  • Even manual materials handling tasks(MMHT) is decreasing by adopt of automatic manufacturing system & transportation supporting machine because of increase of productivity, wage lack of labor, safety, in fact working at inclined & complicated slope such as farm, orchard, harbor loading & unloading, logging place and mining place can't be substituted by machine perfectly. So, workers should do MMHT at this place by themselves, lifting on slope can cause much of hazard, include falling. Keeping balance net to slip can be a reason of low back pain(LBP) by overloaded musculoskeletal system but, there's no enough study about lift on slope. Therefore, In this study, we assessed and analyzed change of center of pressure(COP) when lifting on slope by force platform. The result showed that the length lengthen as increasing angle of slope. Especially, the length extremely increased over 15°. Through These basic result, present proper angle boundary, prevent industrial accidents and give proper data not only lifting but also pushing and pulling on slope someday.

A Comparison Study on Flow-Friction Characteristic of Polymer Solution and Surfactant as Drag Reduction Additive (고분자물질 및 계면활성제의 유동마찰 저감 특성 비교 연구)

  • The drag reduction(DR) for Betaine+Amin and Xantan Gum as kinds of surfactant and Polyacrylamide as kinds of polymer solution according to the fluid velocity, temperature and surfactant concentration were compared experimentally. For this study, two kinds of experimental apparatus for short time and long time measurement were established. Each experimental appratus was equipped with hot water storage tanks, pumps, testing pipe network, flowmeter, two pressure gauges and data logging system was built for them. Results showed that Betaine+Amin and Xanthan Gum as kinds of surfactant had appeared optimal DR around 200-500 ppm and their DR tended to be decreased when flow velocity increased but Polyacrylamide as kinds of polymer solution showed the opposite trend to be increased when flow velocity increased. The both of them showed above 40% DR in the case of better condition by the short term measurement. But Polyacrylamide as kinds of polymer solution showed more degradation than Betaine+Amin and Xanthan Gum as kinds of surfactant by the long term measurement. As a result, Betaine+Amin and Xanthan Gum as kinds of surfactant showed better materials to use to the district heating system.

Laboratory Model Tests on the Load Transfer in Geosynthetic-Reinforced and Pile-Supported Embankment System (토목섬유보강 성토지지말뚝시스템에서의 하중전이 효과에 관한 모형실험)

  • A series of model tests were performed to investigate the load transfer by soil arching in geosynthetic-reinforced and pile-supported(GRPS) embankment systems. In the model tests, model piles with isolated cap were inserted in the model container and geosynthetics was laid on the pile caps below sand fills. The settlement of soft ground was simulated by rubber form. The loads acting on pile caps and the tensile strain of geosynthetics were monitored by data logging system. At the given interval ratio of pile caps, the efficiency in GRPS embankment systems increased with increasing the height of embankment fills, then gradually converged at constant value. Also, at the given height of embankment fills, the efficiency decreased with increasing the pile spacing. The embankment loads transferred on pile cap by soil arching increased when the geosynthetics installed with piles. This illustrated that reinforcing with the geosynthetics have a good effect to restraint the movement of surrounding soft grounds. The load transfer in GRPS embankment systems was affected by the interval ratio, height of fills, properties of grounds and tensile stiffness and so on.

A Characteristics of Zn-Al-Cu System Pb-free Solder Alloys for Ultra High Temperature Applications (초고온용 Zn-Al-Cu계 Pb-free 솔더 합금의 특성)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of pb-free $Zn-(3\~6)\%Al-(1\~6)\%Cu$ solder alloys for ultra high temperature(>573K) which applied to air craft, space satellite, automotive, oil, gas well exploration and data logging of geo-thermal wells. Melting range, solderability, electric resistivity, microstructure and mechanical properties were examined with solder alloys casted in Ar gas atmosphere. $Zn-4\%Al-(1\~3)\%Cu,\;Zn-5\%Al-(2\~4)\%Cu\;and\;Zn-6\%Al-(3\~5)\%Cu$ alloys satisfied the optimum melting range of 643 to 673k for ultra high temperature solder. A melting temperature increased with increasing Cu content, but decreased with increasing Al content. The spreadability was improved with increasing hi content. But the content of Cu had no effect on the spreadability. The electric resistivity was lowered with increasing Al and decreasing Cu content. In all Zn-Al-Cu solder alloys, primary dendritic $\varepsilon$ phase(Zn-Cu), dendritic $\eta$ phase(Zn-Cu-Al), $\alpha(Al-Zn)-\eta$ eutectic and eutectoid phase were observed. The addition of Al increased the volume fraction of eutectic and eutectoid phase and it decreased f phases. Also, the addition of Cu increased slightly the volume fraction of e, the eutectic and eutectoid phases. With increasing total content of Al and Cu, a hardness and a tensile strength were linearly increased, but anelongation was linearly decreased.

  • Automatic large scale soil model generation is very critical stage for earthquake hazard simulation of urban areas. Manual model development may cause some data losses and may not be effective when there are too many data from different soil observations in a wide area. Geographic information systems (GIS) for storing and analyzing spatial data help scientists to generate better models automatically. Although the original soil observations were limited to soil profile data, the recent developments in mapping technology, interpolation methods, and remote sensing have provided advanced soil model developments. Together with advanced computational technology, it is possible to handle much larger volumes of data. The scientists may solve difficult problems of describing the spatial variation of soil. In this study, an algorithm is proposed for automatic three dimensional soil and velocity model development of southern part of the European side of Istanbul next to Sea of Marmara based on GIS data. In the proposed algorithm, firstly bedrock surface is generated from integration of geological and geophysical measurements. Then, layer surface contacts are integrated with data gathered in vertical borings, and interpolations are interpreted on sections between the borings automatically. Three dimensional underground geology model is prepared using boring data, geologic cross sections and formation base contours drawn in the light of these data. During the preparation of the model, classification studies are made based on formation models. Then, 3D velocity models are developed by using geophysical measurements such as refraction-microtremor, array microtremor and PS logging. The soil and velocity models are integrated and final soil model is obtained. All stages of this algorithm are carried out automatically in the selected urban area. The system directly reads the GIS soil data in the selected part of urban area and 3D soil model is automatically developed for large scale earthquake hazard simulation studies.

  • From a software engineering point of view, tracing is a special form of logging that records program execution information. Tracers using dedicated hardware are often used because of the characteristics of tracers that need to generate and decode huge amounts of data in real time. Intel(R) PT uses proprietary hardware to record all information about software execution on each hardware thread. When the software execution is completed, the PT can process the trace data of the software and reconstruct the correct program flow. The hardware trace program can be integrated into the operating system, but in the case of the window system, the integration is not tight due to problems such as the kernel opening. Also, it is possible to trace only a single process and not provide a way to trace multiple process streams. In this paper, we propose a method to extend existing PT trace program to support multi - process stream traceability in Windows environment in order to overcome these disadvantages.

Analysis of Security Vulnerability on Firewall Logging Mechanism against DDoS Attack (DDoS 공격에 대한 방화벽 로그 기록 취약점 분석)

  • In the context of mass traffic, firewall system cannot record normal log files against DDoS attack. The loss of log record causes that a firewall system does not know whether a packet is normally filtered or not, and firewall log, which is an essential data for the counter measure of violation accident, cannot be verified as trusted. As a network speed increases, these problems happen more frequently and largely. Accordingly, the method to use simply additional hardware devices is not recommended for the popularization of firewall. This paper is devoted to verify the loss of iptable log that is the mother's womb of most domestic firewall systems and show that the log handling methods for conventional firewall systems are needed to improve.

Smart monitoring system using electromagnetic waves to evaluate the integrity of reinforced concrete structural elements

  • This study proposes and demonstrates a smart monitoring system that uses transmission lines embedded in a reinforced concrete structure to detect the presence of defects through changes in the electromagnetic waves generated and measured by a time-domain reflectometer. Laboratory experiments were first conducted to identify the presence of voids in steel-concrete composite columns. The results indicated that voids in the concrete caused a positive signal reflection, and the amplitude of this signal decreased as the water content of the soil in the void increased. Multiple voids resulted in a decrease in the amplitude of the signal reflected at each void, effectively identifying their presence despite amplitude reduction. Furthermore, the electromagnetic wave velocity increased when voids were present, decreased as the water content of the soil in the voids increased, and increased with the water-cement ratio and curing time. Field experiments were then conducted using bored piles with on-center (sound) and off-center (defective) steel-reinforcement cage alignments. The results indicated that the signal amplitude in the defective pile section, where the off-center cage was poorly covered with concrete, was greater than that in the pile sections where the cage was completely covered with concrete. The crosshole sonic logging results for the same defective bored pile failed to identify an off-center cage alignment defect. Therefore, this study demonstrates that electromagnetic waves can be a useful tool for monitoring the health and integrity of reinforced concrete structures.

Attack Detection Technology through Log4J Vulnerability Analysis in Cloud Environments (클라우드 환경에서 Log4J 취약점 분석을 통한 공격 탐지 기술)

  • The use of open source has the advantage that the development environment is convenient and maintenance is easier, but there is a limitation in that it is easy to be exposed to vulnerabilities from a security point of view. In this regard, the LOG4J vulnerability, which is an open source logging library widely used in Apache, was recently discovered. Currently, the risk of this vulnerability is at the 'highest' level, and developers are using it in many systems without being aware of such a problem, so there is a risk that hacking accidents due to the LOG4J vulnerability will continue to occur in the future. In this paper, we analyze the LOG4J vulnerability in detail and propose a SNORT detection policy technology that can detect vulnerabilities more quickly and accurately in the security control system. Through this, it is expected that in the future, security-related beginners, security officers, and companies will be able to efficiently monitor and respond quickly and proactively in preparation for the LOG4J vulnerability.

Study on Token based KMS for Information Sharing (정보 공유를 위한 토큰 기반 KMS 연구)

  • KMS (Knowledge Management System) is used by various organizations to share information. This KMS includes important information as well as basic information used by each organization. To protect infortant information stored in KMS, many KMS use user identification and authentication features. In such a KMS security environment, if the account information of a user who can access the KMS is leaked, a malicious attacker using the account information can access the KMS and access all authorized important information. In this study, we propose KMS with user access control function that can protect important information even if user account information is leaked. The KMS with the user access control function proposed in this study protects the stored files in the KMS by applying an encryption algorithm. Users can access important documents by using tokens after logging in. A malicious attacker without a Token cannot access important files. As a result of checking the unit function for the target user access control function for effectiveness verification, it was confirmed that the access control function to be provided by KMS is normally provided.
