This study is aimed to examine the mediated effects of consumer recognition in relationship of local food tour experience and intention of action in the revitalization of local food. Questionnaire survey target was women in 30s and 40s. The local food tour experience is independent variable, intention of action is dependent variable, and consumer recognition is analyzed as mediated variable. As a result, consumer recognition which is mediating variable has two subordinated variables. One is direct affect and the other is indirect affect. Between local food tour experience and intention of action, there was partial mediating effect. Thus, through tour experience, consumer can have positive recognition of freshness, safety, health, taste, price, job creation and relationship. That affects to the intention of action. Based on the results of the study, it is necessary to learn success case for marketing revitalization, and develop and operate experiencing tour education program to manage customer continuously.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the cases of Asan-si and Hongseong-gun in Chungcheongnam-do to derive the direction of development of the school meal support center and improvement of the school meal policy in connection with local food. We conducted a survey on the importance and performance of school meal support policy and local food supply policy for nutritionists in two areas. In addition, we identified the issues to be improved intensively and the issues to be continuously managed over the medium to long term, and suggested directions for improvement using IPA. As a result of the importance-performance analysis of school meal support policy and local food supply policy, both Asan-si and Hongseong-gun. focused on improving the price and quality of local food.

BACKGROUND: Climate-smart agriculture (CSA) has been proposed for sustainable agriculture and food security in an agricultural ecosystem disturbed by climate change. However, scientific approaches to local agricultural ecosystems to realize CSA are rare. This study attempted to evaluate the weather condition, rice production, and greenhouse gas emissions from the rice cultivation in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do to fulfill CSA of the rice cultivation. METHODS AND RESULTS: Over the past 3 years (2017~2019), Chucheong rice cultivar yield and methane emissions were analyzed from the rice field plot (37°13'15"N, 127° 02'22"E) in the Gyeonggi-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services located in Gisan-dong, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do. Methane samples were collected from three automated closed chambers installed in the plot. The weather data measured through automatic weather station located in near the plot were analyzed. CONCLUSION(S): The rice productivity was found to vary with weather environment in the agricultural ecosystem. And methane emissions are high in a favorable weather condition for rice growth. Therefore, it is necessary to minimize the trade-off between the greenhouse gas emission target for climate change mitigation and productivity improvement for CSA in a local rice cultivation.

The purposes of this study were to investigate the influence of local residents' nature environment attitudes for National Park development impact perceptions and to examine application possibility of nature environment attitude for resolution information of National Park management conflicts. Thirty items of residents' perceptions and opinions were designed from previous tourism impact studies. The new environmental paradigm(NEP) was used to measure local residents' nature environment attitudes. In April, 2003, 239 questionnaires were obtained from interview survey in local residents' villages near Gyearyongsan National Park. Generally, most of the local residents perceived low economic effects and negative environment impacts for National Park development. Nature environment attitudes levels were significant differences with socioeconomic variables of local residents, specially high in age, education level and influenced their perceptions toward National Park development impacts. The results were suggested that the nature environment attitudes could be provided a useful reverential framework in resolution of National Park management conflicts.

Food is very important for human being. It is not easy for us to enjoy good life because the situation of food is not good in Korea. The self-sufficient food rate is very low and most of food which we take was produced by industrial agriculture. Food of this kind has some problems with respect to the health of consumer, agriculture, environment and community. In order to secure the true food which is safe and environmentally sound, producers, consumers and community have to work together. Producers must engage in environmental agriculture. They must produce the true food and need to know regional consumers. Consumers must pay attention to the regional agriculture and must participate the production of true food. Local government must open farmers' markets for direct marketing between farmers and consumers. NGOs should educate and organize the producers and consumers.

In the development of policies and projects for regional development, consolidating region's organization and organizational leadership that could establish and operate voluntary developmental plans along with active participations by regional people are important. There have been successful cases of regional agricultural products emphasizing regional characteristics by strengthening functions and autonomy of the local government based on the premise of increasing mealable relationship among local industries and maximizing the characteristics of local resources and local resource utilization. However, effective pursuing is difficult due to lack of organization and leadership. Centering around local units with their importance recognized playing the core role in the development of rural areas, other important issues are activating civic organizations essential for local development based on town units and agricultural amenity resources in rural areas by seeking methods of rearing organizational leadership, improving rural incomes by strengthening local competitiveness through environmentally-friendly agricultural products based on local units, and developing and activating farm experience related with green tour. The types of organization and leaders are analyzed by investigating approved cases of farm experience. According to the results of the analysis, we seek the methods of promoting organizations and leaders for promoting farm experiences in villages and methods of constructing support organizations for promoting farm experience centering around local government units (such as city, Kun, Eup, Myun and village).

This study was carried out to identity the major characteristics of inbred lines and to develop early waxy colored hybrid at the Maize Genetics and Breeding Lab. in Chungnam National University. The eight colored waxy maize were planted on April 27, 2007 under Randomized Completely Block (RCB) Design with three replications. Stem height of IK1/H26-2 and Heunchal lines in this experiment were high as 196cm and 186cm compared to control as 156cm, respectively, while ear height of Local-2 and IK/LE were lower than that of check and ear diameter of IK/H26-1, IK/H26-2 and Local-2 were 10.3mm, 17.7mm and 18mm compared to control (21mm), respectively. Days to tasseling of Local-1, Local-2, and IK/LE lines were earlier than check. As a result of this experiment, the developed inbred lines were regard as useful germplasm for early hybrid development.

The Purpose of this paper is to analysis on consumer's purchasing behavior and intention of local food. To analysis consumer's purchasing behavior, a series of homemaker surveys were conducted. The sample size of the survey is 416 respectively. As a survey result, consumer's purchasing behavior shows that purchasing ratio of local food and buying place is various type. By decision tree model analysis showed that consumer's purchasing intention is enough to establishing local food system in region. Therefore, strategies for regional consumption are needed expression of the place city and county of origin, diversification of purchasing item and buying area, and sustainable improvement for safety and trust on local food.

As a result of the execution of the import liberalization and local autonomy with WTO system launching, centralized rural extension service converted to localized rural extension service. This advent of globalization and localization era affects our over all agricultural condition, moreover the duty and role of rural extension organization which take complete of rural extension, is compelled to diversified and specified technology. In this study, first we will investigate the change of agricultural, rural community, and local rural extension service in globalization and localization era. Second we will analyze the confronted problems of local rural extension service. With this study's outcome for basis, we will present new role and direction of local rural extension service which can contribute to local agricultural development.
