In this opinion article, we review the current streams of the information systems (IS) literature on crowdfunding and discuss how the literature has contributed to expanding our understanding of crowdfunding. Reflecting on the review, we propose avenues for future research to expand the existing knowledge on this impactful topic for the benefit of researchers and practitioners.
In the era of disruptive change, a data-driven approach is vital to Human Resource Management (HRM) of any leading organization, for it is used to gain a competitive advantage. HR analytics (HRA) has emerged as innovative technologies since advanced analytics, i.e., predictive or prescriptive analytics, were widely used in the High Performing Organizations (HPOs). Therefore, many organizations elevate themselves to become HPOs through Data Science on the "people side." This paper proposes a systematic literature review using the Literature Weighted Scoring (LWS) to develop a conceptual framework based on three adoption theories, which are the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE), Diffusion of Innovation (DOI), and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). The results show that a total of 13 theory-derived factors are determined as influential factors affecting HRA adoption, and the top three factors are "Quantitative Self-Efficacy," "Top Management Support," and "Data Availability." The conceptual framework with hypotheses is proposed to provide a foundation for further studies on organizational HRA adoption.

This research reviews literature regarding information use behavior published during the period of 1970 to 2014 in Korea. It aims to identify the researchers' information use behavior in specialized fields and contributes to provide the effective information services based on users' needs. In order to do that, it reviews research papers that are associated with information use behavior by primarily examining the subjects, methods, variables, results, and suggestions of collected literature. It reveals some differences among researchers according to their fields, career, and status while researchers in various fields make appearance the change of information use up to digital environments. It is suggested that information services based on the users' characteristics should be provided.
The purposes of the study were to identify the characteristics and types of grey literatures, to investigate the factors restricting the sharing of grey literatures in Korea, and to make recommendations for the efficient collection and utilization system of grey literatures being produced and managed by either government agencies or government-supported research institutes in Korea. A survey instrument was designed to measure the current status of grey literature management systems and to elicit expert opinions from information professionals in information centers for an efficient system of grey literatures. It was found that information professionals considered the technical reports as the most important type of grey literatures, but maps and dissertations as the least important type of information value. Related to the participation for the central system of grey literatures, many respondents preferred to utilize the grey literatures owned by other information centers, but they showed a neutral interest level in sharing their information centers' grey literatures with other centers.
Because protein is a primary element responsible for biological or biochemical roles in living bodies, protein function is the core and basis information for biomedical studies. However, recent advances in bio technologies have created an explosive increase in the amount of published literature; therefore, biomedical researchers have a hard time finding needed protein function information. In this paper, a classification system for biomedical literature providing protein function evidence is proposed. Note that, despite our best efforts, we have been unable to find previous studies on the proposed issue. To classify papers based on protein function evidence, we should consider whether the main claim of a paper is to assert a protein function. We, therefore, propose two novel features - protein and assertion. Our experimental results show a classification performance with 71.89% precision, 90.0% recall, and a 79.94% F-measure. In addition, to verify the usefulness of the proposed classification system, two case study applications are investigated - information retrieval for protein function and automatic summarization for protein function text. It is shown that the proposed classification system can be successfully applied to these applications.
Enterprise Architecture and its management focuses on the integration of business processes and IT infrastructure, and have received considerable attention from the academic and the practice audience. Despite this attention, some lacuna can be observed that questions some of the fundamental pillars of the domain. The current business environment demands in the response to digitalization add to further challenges which call for the need to reconceptualise enterprise architecture to be relevant to the emerging context. We respond to this call by presenting a comprehensive review of the literature concerning enterprise architecture and management to facilitate future work. Our review revealed various facets related to enterprise architecture and enterprise architecture management which we present and discuss here. Further, we also chart out possible areas of future explorations. By doing so, this research lays a foundation for continuing inquiry on enterprise architecture and management, contributing to new knowledge for the field.

In the field of patents, as NLP(Natural Language Processing) is a challenging task due to the linguistic specificity of patent literature, there is an urgent need to research a language model optimized for Korean patent literature. Recently, in the field of NLP, there have been continuous attempts to establish a pre-trained language model for specific domains to improve performance in various tasks of related fields. Among them, ELECTRA is a pre-trained language model by Google using a new method called RTD(Replaced Token Detection), after BERT, for increasing training efficiency. The purpose of this paper is to propose KorPatELECTRA pre-trained on a large amount of Korean patent literature data. In addition, optimal pre-training was conducted by preprocessing the training corpus according to the characteristics of the patent literature and applying patent vocabulary and tokenizer. In order to confirm the performance, KorPatELECTRA was tested for NER(Named Entity Recognition), MRC(Machine Reading Comprehension), and patent classification tasks using actual patent data, and the most excellent performance was verified in all the three tasks compared to comparative general-purpose language models.
This paper presents the recent research developments identified through a review of literature on the application of artificial intelligence in developing automated designs of fire protection facilities. The literature review covered research related to image recognition and applicable neural networks. Firstly, it was found that convolutional neural network (CNN) may be applied to the development of automating the design of fire protection facilities. It requires a high level of object detection accuracy necessitating the classification of each object making up the image. Secondly, to ensure accurate object detection and building information, the data need to be pulled from architectural drawings. Thirdly, by applying image recognition and classification, this can be done by extracting wall and surface information using dimension lines and pixels. All combined, the current review of literature strongly indicates that it is possible to develop automated designs for fire protection utilizing artificial intelligence.

Engineering or humanities data are stored in databases and are often used for search services. While the latest deep-learning technologies, such like BART and BERT, are utilized for data analysis, humanities data still rely on traditional databases. Representative analysis methods include n-gram and lexical statistical extraction. However, when using a database, performance limitation is often imposed on the result calculations. This study presents an experimental process using MariaDB on a PC, which is easily accessible in a laboratory, to analyze the impact of the database on data analysis performance. The findings highlight the fact that the database becomes a bottleneck when analyzing large-scale text data, particularly over hundreds of thousands of records. To address this issue, a method was proposed to provide real-time humanities data analysis web services by leveraging the open source database, with a focus on the Seungjeongwon-Ilgy, one of the largest datasets in the humanities fields.

The objective of this research is to develop & operate classical literature reading education program for youth, to verify the difference in effect with respect to the influence of classical literature reading education on youth's character and competency development and to clarify the difference in effect depending on intention to participate in classical literature reading education and instruction method. Main result of research is summarized as follows. First, after classical literature reading education was found to be effective to the character and the youth's competency development increased. Second, verifying the effect of classical literature reading education on intention to participate voluntarily, it was found to be more effective for group of voluntary participation than group of involuntary participation. Third, verifying the effect of classical literature reading education depending on instruction method, it was found to be more effective for group of discussion lesson based on character key words than group of lesson based on recital.
