Mobile Ad hoc networking is an emerging technology and in these days many applications are being developed to run on these networks. In these networks lookup services are very important because all nodes do not have same resources in term of memory and computing power. Nodes need to use different services offered by different servers. Reliable and efficient scheme should be available for lookup services due to limited bandwidth and low computing power of devices in mobile ad hoc networks. Due to mobility and rapid change in network topology, lookup mechanism used in wired network is not appropriate. Service discovery mechanism can be divided into two main categories Centralized and Distributed. Centralized mechanism is not reliable as there is no central node in these networks. Secondly centralized mechanism leads toward single point failure. We can handle the service discovery mechanism by distributing server's information to each node. But this approach is also not appropriate due to limited bandwidth and rapid change in network. In this paper, we present reliable lookup service scheme which is based on distributed mechanism. We are not using replication approach as well due to low bandwidth of wireless networks. In this scheme service discovery mechanism will be handled through different lookup servers. Reliability is the key feature of our proposed scheme.

The increasing computational capability of processors is driving the need for high bandwidth links to communicate and store the information that is processed. Such links are often an important part of multi processor interconnection, processor-to-memory interfaces and Serial-network interfaces. This paper describes a 0.11-${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ CMOS 4 Gbp s/pin 3-Level transceiver using RSL/(Rambus Signaling Logic) for high bandwidth. This system which uses a high-gain windowed integrating receiver with wide common-mode range which was designed in order to improve SNR when operating with the smaller input overdrive of 3-Level. For multi-gigabit/second application, the data rate is limited by Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI) caused by low pass effects of channel, process-limited on-chip clock frequency, and serial link distance. In order to detect the transmited 4Gbps/pin with 3-Level data sucessfully ,the receiver is designed using 3-stage sense amplifier. The proposed transceiver employes multi-level signaling (3-Level Pulse Amplitude Modulation) using clock multi phase, double data rate and Prbs patten generator. The transceiver shows data rate of 3.2 ~ 4.0 Gbps/pin with a 1GHz internal clock.

Locking time of the DLL is the important design issue in case of clock gating for low power system. For precise analysis of the locking speed of the DLL, this paper analyzes the locking process of the DLL in time domain. Analysis result shows that the value of the DLL bandwidth over reference frequency should be limited to below 1 ($i.e.w_n/F_{REF}<1$) for the stable operation and relation between bandwidth and lock time is expressed by log function.

한정된 무선자원에서 CDMA 방식의 초고속 이동멀티미디어 통신서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 대역사용효율을 높힐 수 있는 방안이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 실수 이진 데이터가 입력되는 Binary input Multi Carrier-CDMA전송구조의 IFFT처리부에서 출력 심볼 파형이 대칭성을 갖는 점을 이용하여 중복된 출력 심볼파형의 1/2만을 본래 출력 심볼파형의 시간폭에 맞게 시간 확장을 하므로서 기존 전송대역폭의 1/2대역폭으로 신호전송이 가능한 구조를 제시하였다. 본 방식은 동일 대역폭 사용조건하에서 DS-CDMA방식에 비해 처리이득이 4배 높아지며 그에 따른 성능이 제시되었다.

Duobinary 선로부호를 수정하여 "0"의 길이가 제한된 최소 대역폭 선로부호를 설계하였다. 이 새로운 부호는 duobinary와는 달리 "0"기 길이가 제한되어 self-clocking 특성을 가지므로, 수신측의 원활한 동기 재생을 위한 송신측의 데이타 스크램블링이 필요없다. 또한, 눈폭(eye width)과 오판율(error rate) 특성도 duobinary에 버금하며, 전력스펙트럼도 그에 유사하여, optical fiber와 같은 저역통파특성의 선로에 적합하다.

This paper presents the design of an active roll control system for a ground vehicle and an experimental study using an devised electric-actuating roll control system. Based on a three degree of freedom linear vehicle model, the controller is designed using lateral acceleration and rollrate feedback. In order to investigate the feasibility of an active control system, experimental work is carried out using a hardware-in-the-loop (Hil) setup which has been constructed by the devised electric-actuating system and the full vehicle model including tire characteristics. The performance is evaluated by an experiment using the Hil setup with limited bandwidth. Finally, in order to enhance the control performance in the transient region, a hybrid control strategy is proposed and evaluated.

This paper presents contour simplification method and a regional hierarchical segmentation algorithm based on PSNR for the transmission of image in mobile communication, of which available bandwidth is very limited. It first takes into account the global information and produces a coarse segmentation, that is, with a small number of regions. Then, each segmented region has different quality. Thus, the region with low quality is selected by PSNR and improved by introducing regions corresponding to more local information. It is able to improve the subjective quality of image and reduce contour information. In addition, contour simplification method is proposed for the efficient lossless chain coding. The proposed method can be applied to the applications such as mobile communications and videotelephone through PSTN, of which the available transmission bandwidth is very limited.

A new line code design technique based on the BUDA(Binary Unit DSV and ASV) concept is introduced. The new line code called MB34 and designed by this new technique is of the minimum bandwidth, dc-free, and runlength limited. To confirm the performance of the new code, its power spectrum and eye pattern are obtained, wherein spectral nulls at dc(f=0) and Nyguist frequency (f=1/2Ts) are clearly identified. It is also discussed how the transmission errors can be detected by monitoring the DSV, the ASV, and the runlength.

The power spectral densities of run-length-limited(RLL) minimum-bandwidth(MB) line codes are obtained for some values of the zero probability of input data. They can be obtianed by implementing a computer program for the G.L. Cariolaro's algorithm. Using the program we calculate the power spectra of the known RLL MB line codes, such as VDB5, TIB5, VMDB5, RMD35, DRMD35, RMD45, and RMD33, and compare the characteristics of them. Specially, the relationship between eye widths and power spectra is analyzed.

The growing usage of multimedia communication applications with specific bandwidth and real-time delivery requirements has created the needs for quality of service(QoS). In response to the growing demand for an integrated services, the Reservation Protocol(RSVP) has been designed to exchange resource reservation among routers in the internet. RSVP protocol provides the quality of service for real-time applications but the network efficiency is reduced because of the limited bandwidth. In order to use network resources efficiently. We compare the resource efficiency of traditional reservation methods with that of the proposed method and evaluate the performance of the internet phone.
