First, not only government initiatives but also close partnerships between education and industry are essential to help vocational education in school the transition to employment. Education and industry should work closely together to standardize certificate related skills and to have these skills reflected in the curriculum. Also the government should strive to provide guidelines for work-based learning and formulate standards for supervision and evaluation. Second, to facilitate the school to work transition, comprehensive schools should be promoted so that students have access to a greater ranger of vocational education. At the same time, an assessment system that certifies a mastering of the basic skills of those who undergo the education should be introduced, and it should be related to earn these certificates. Third, standardized vocational skills should be included in the curriculum so that students can acquire skills that are useful for industry. All the students in vocational and general high schools should have access both to general education, the foundation for lifelong learning and for employ ability, and to basic occupational skills which empower students in dealing with rapid changes of technology. Also a range of specialized vocational curricula should be offered so that students can opt for more specialized occupations; and they can select careers appropriate to their capability. Fourth, so that all students to have the opportunity to take part in work-based education, which is closely related to employment, various work-based learning programs should be offered to meet the needs of students and their educational conditions. Companies should for their part train students thoroughly in accordance with the standards of work-based education. In addition, supervisors should be stationed both in schools and companies in order to administer the students' work-based learning.

  • After developing literacy education programs using coaching techniques, applying them to literacy learners, in order to see how they have an impact on improving learning achievement, we selected 13 senior literacy learners in U city and chose qualitative research method based on in-depth interviews, observation journals, and learning materials. Literature education programs using coaching techniques are a process-oriented model consisting of four stages of mind-opening, introducing positivity, strengthening learning competence and assistance, confidence and persistence. You can find the results as following. Firstly, communication between teachers and learners was expanded in the first stage, and secondly, self-directed learning ability was strengthened in the second stage by forming a positive mind. Thirdly, the results of utilizing the three-stage balanced literacy teaching method and interaction teaching method resulted in confidence in reading and writing, leading to an increase in self-efficacy. Fourthly, the fourth stage showed the results of improving learning achievement, which overcame the fear of learning with active praise and continuous encouragement and implied hope for higher courses. As a result of the above-mentioned research, I think literacy education programs using coaching techniques can be useful as an educational method for learners in the field of literacy education.

  • The purpose of this study is to assert the fact that School Library Media Center(SLMC) is the most important body which influences the whole process of loaming in school and at the same time it functions as a very essential infrastructure of acquiring loaming in the society. The writer analysed the studies on learning outcomes across a range of educational conditions and settings. She found that loaming outcomes are influenced positively by the educational conditions and settings that accomodate the student diversity and individualization, and loaming materials for their individual needs. It means that the outcomes of effective teaming are influenced by using teaming materials of individual student guided by teachers and teacher librarians. In case, school education furnishes desirable programs of SLMC and use it properly, students canhave enough experiences what and how they learn by using library materials during their school days. As school days are in their early days of their lifetime, they are easy to carry their way of loaming with them even after they finish school. The members of society who are accustomed to use library materials during their school days will have loaming needs for their better life. The writer wants to call it the loaming needs of society that school produces. A teaming society is composed of two factors One is the loaming needs of the people and the other is the environment to meet them. SLMC produces loaming needs, and it meets to the needs of student learning. Consequently it can be said SLMC is the infrastructure for loaming society. The author pointed out that the Educational Reformation Draft of current Government does not mention about learning materials prerequisite to enhance student loaming outcomes, especially in relation to their creativity. She concluded educators of every level of school including government officials in charge of education have to think and do something about reformation of School Library Media Center for the fulfillment of the goal of Korean Educational Reformation Draft announced by the Educational Reformation Committee Draft announced by the Educational Reformation Committee May 31, 1995.

  • In this study, the technical level and competence of Chungbuk region manufactures were diagnosed and implications for efficiency improvement of cooperation with local universities were derived. The results are as follow. First, in Chungbuk area, 75% of the skilled workers are medium-skilled and high skilled workers. And the life cycle of production products was found to have entered middle/old age. In addition, the industries were overestimating its technology capabilities, including marketing and sales technology, and management technology. Therefore, local universities should develop differentiated program such as technology transfer and commercialization support so that companies can nurture new industries and it is necessary to improve understanding of reality and future prediction ability through various education and seminars. Second, universities in Chungbuk province have failed to meet the practical demands of industry by providing general educational programs such as lifelong education curriculum, rather than the practical training required by industry. First of all, industries needed the practical training programs such as human resource empowerment, technical education and workers' retraining for local industry development. In addition, industries were expected to provide relevant knowledge and infrastructure such as testing, analysis, participation in technology development such as commissioning and joint research. Therefore, universities should prepare customized Industry-Academia Cooperation Programs through industry demand survey in planning. Also, it is necessary to establish various connection points with industry to ensure that industry-academia cooperation will continue and achieve results. Third, the technology of the industries in Chungbuk province was found to be very unrelated to the next generation regional strategic industries. This is not shared vision between industry and local government, Industry-Academia Cooperation Programs will serve as a platform to organize various community entities. Universities will be able to play a key role in between industries and local governments.

The viewpoints on the development of the nursing curriculum focus on four elements: the learner, teaching and learning, course content, and instructor tasks. For learners, the admission criteria should include a minimum not only of knowledge, but also positive attitude, science, and art skills, since the nursing profession is both a science and the art of caring. Teaching and learning elements should be authentic, including exposure to real situations, an integrated network, and activities that improve nursing care. Course content was comprised of an updated curriculum, humanized nursing care, student center, theory and practice with moral integration, case-based study, critical thinking, multidisciplinary work, and love for the nursing profession. Instructor tasks are to elicit student ideas, provide opportunities to learn, support infrastructure, support technology use, and extra-curricular activities to develop the competencies of nursing students. Recommendations were that the curriculum administration should review the selection process of student candidates and instructional management to achieve expected outcomes of nursing characteristics in the future. The nurse lecturer should provide authentic and integrated instruction, decrease lecturing, cultivate a lifelong learning process, and sustain the nursing characteristics.

  • This paper presents several reasons for the necessity of archaeological hands-on training and strategies for its implementation. First, it is necessary to produce a specialized manual for local cultural heritage education that can enhance the specialization and educational effectiveness of archaeological experience education. In addition, in order to secure professionalism in hands-on education and conduct it systematically, the ability of instructors to conduct education is important, so instructor competence reinforcement education needs to be conducted regularly. In addition, hands-on education needs a strategy of planning and content development of archaeological education programs, with consideration given to the subjects of learning, and the establishment of a cooperative network. It is time to cooperate with various experts to establish an education system necessary for cultural heritage education in the region and develop customized content for local archaeological heritage supplementary textbooks. Finally, due to Covid-19, we agonized over effective education plans for online archaeological heritage education, which requires active interaction class design and a strategy to promote interaction between professors and learners. In addition, such archaeological heritage education should be compatible with the goal of providing customized lifelong education.

  • As makerspaces continue to be introduced in academic libraries in Korea, this study explores potential operating strategies of, and long-term justifications for, makerspaces as digital literacy eduational spaces and services at academic libraries. By examining related literature reviews and case studies of makerspaces, this study analyzes various programs and their respective creation, funding, development, and outcomes, including educational value and library-specific goals such as digital literacy and lifelong learning. This study also considers the perspectives of librarians at academic libraries in Korea who were asked about the purpose, impact, and limitations of makerspaces. Certain common themes appear: for example, it is necessary for makerspaces to resolve challenges related to stable funding, as well as staffing and training of professional librarians assisting with the on-the-ground operation of makerspaces. This study proposes that designing makerspaces for an academic library setting goes deeper than providing a collaborative environment with access to new technologies like 3D printers and laser cutters, and it may be uniquely appropriate to draw connections to libraries' objectives to provide digital literacy education and universities' mission to foster innovation and creativity among students.
