  • The purpose of this study was to develop the household analysis and diagnosis program for the enhancement of family welfare focusing on the household of middle-aged full-time housewives. From the review of related literatures, the following areas of total family life were selected ; household management, time use, housing, household materials, finance, communication and decision making. Considering that the program subjects were middle-aged full-time housewives, the preparation for elderly life and the identity as housewife, one of the healthy family members, are appended. The progresses for the development of household analysis and diagnosis program were as follows: 1. to select the useful area of family life, 2. to make the indicators which explain the status of family life, and 3. to decide the scales for the diagnosis. This program has various uses such as the development of self-evaluation program, program for various family life course. Through this program the strength and weakness of family life can be found and the planning for the enforcement of family life can be practiced.

  • Objectives: We aimed to identify the factors related to depression and quality of life in patients with hypertension by using multilevel regression analysis. Methods: In 2019, 229 043 participants in the Korean Community Health Survey were selected as the study group. Individual factors were identified using data from the 2019 Community Health Survey. Regional factors were identified using data from the National Statistical Office of Korea. Multilevel regression analysis was conducted to find individual and local factors affecting depression and quality of life in patients with hypertension and to determine any associated interactions. Results: As individual factors in patients with hypertension, women, those with lower education-levels, recipients of basic livelihood benefits, and those with poor dietary conditions showed stronger associations with depression and quality of life. As regional factors and individual-level variables in patients with hypertension, lower gross regional personal income, fewer doctors at medical institutions, and lower rates of participation in volunteer activities presented stronger associations with depression and quality of life. In addition, the associations of depression with gross regional personal income, the number of doctors at medical institutions, and dietary conditions were significantly stronger in patients with hypertension than in patients without hypertension. The associations of gender and employment status with quality of life were also significantly greater. Conclusions: Policy interventions are needed to adjust health behaviors, prevent depression, and improve quality of life for patients with hypertension, especially for those with the risk factors identified in this study.

  • To predict the shelf-life of ammunition stockpiled in intermediate have practical meaning as a core value of combat support. This research is to Predict the shelf-life of ammunition by applying time series analysis based on report from ASRP of the 155mm, KD541 performed for 6 years. This study applied time series analysis using 'Mini-tab program' to measure the amount of stabilizer as time passes by is different from the other one that uses regression analysis. The average shelf-life of KD541 drawn by time series analysis was 43 years and the lowest shelf-life assessed on the 95% confidence level was 35 years.

  • The levels of 12 isoflavones were measured in soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merrill) sprouts of 68 genetic varieties from three countries (China, Japan, and Korea). The isoflavone profile differences were analyzed using data mining methods. A principal component analysis (PCA) revealed that the CSRV021 variety was separated from the others by the first two principal components. This variety appears to be most suited for functional food production due to its high isoflavone levels. Partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS-DA) and orthogonal projections to latent structures discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) showed that there are meaningful isoflavone compositional differences in samples that have different countries of origin. Hierarchical clustering analysis (HCA) of these phytochemicals resulted in clusters derived from closely related biochemical pathways. These results indicate the usefulness of metabolite profiling combined with chemometrics as a tool for assessing the quality of foods and identifying metabolic links in biological systems.

Methods: To identify studies that suggested the factors related to the quality of life in heart transplant recipients, we searched the articles published from 1974 to November 2018 using Six databases, PubMed, CINAHL, EMBASE, Cochrane, KMBASE and RISS. A total of 22 studies were selected out of 5,234 for the systematic review and meta-analysis on the basis of the PRISMA flow. The quality of study was assessed by assessment tool form the NIH and meta-analysis was performed using the 'R 3.5.2' version to analyze the correlated effect sizes. Results: Factors related to quality of life in heart transplant recipients were categorized into six domains based on the health-related quality of life model introduced by Ferrans: individual, environmental, biological function, symptoms, functional status, and general health perception. In the meta-analysis, 34 factors were used and 17 factors having significant effect sizes were as follows: self-efficacy, demoralization, perceived control, current occupational status, age, marital status, health promotion life style in the individual characteristics; stress in environmental characteristics; physical function status, creatinine level, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) in biological function; anxiety, depression, symptom frequency and distress in symptoms domain; coping, self-care compliance in functional status. Conclusion: The findings indicate that the multi-dimensional factors influencing the quality of life in heart transplant recipients and provide the evidence for developing effective interventions for improving the quality of life of recipients.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the correlation between stress and adjustment to college life among nursing students. Methods: The sample consisted of 183 university students in C & S cities. Self-report questionnaires were used to measure the variables. In data analysis, SPSSWIN 23.0 program was utilized for descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and regression analysis. Results: The mean scores of stress and adjustment to college life were 2.55 and 3.24. Stress was significantly different according to grade (F=7.30, p<.001), economic state (F=14.39, p<.001), perceived health state (F=6.66, p<.001). In regression analysis, stress for college life, perceived health state, and college life satisfaction were significant predictors of adjustment to college life explaining 68%. Conclusion: This study suggests that perceived health state was a significant factor on adjustment to college life among nursing students. Therefore, the strategies of nursing intervention which improve perceived health state must be developed for college students.
