  • This study presented the operation method through of productivity on eight analysis work items (TBM boring, cutter check and exchange, TBM maintenance, succeeding facilities, reinforcement in tunnel, operation alternation, a tram car) which have developed equipment at WRITH with TBM a waterway tunnel works. It was inquired lose time with analyzed result by work items and removed lose time. It was analyzed TBM boring length, TBM boring length percentage and TBM boring length time. This study analyzed TBM operation utility factor of a foreign work with TBM operation boring length percentage, a monthly average boring length, pure boring length percentage etc. and assumed a monthly average boring length and a monthly average boring length of rise forecast. Based on analyzed Data, TBM boring has been forecasted propriety pure boring length at compressive strength $675{\sim}1662kgf/cm^2$.

  • C- V method is a means to determine the effective channel length for miniaturized MOSFET's. This method achieves L$_{eff}$ by extracting a unique channel length independent extrinsic overlap length($\Delta$L) at a critical gate bias point. In this paper, we conducted an experiment on two different C-V methods. L$_{eff}$ extracted from experiment is compared with L$_{eff}$ simulated from a two-dimensional (2-D) device simulator, and the accuracy of C-V method for L$_{eff}$ extraction is analyzed.

  • The objective of study is to examine relationship between traffic flow characteristics of two lane entrance terminal and acceleration length, and to suggest the acceleration length by level of service. The relationship between the speed ratio and the distance from the ramp appeared to be a quadratic concave from. In the case of two lane entrance ramp, the acceleration length is suggested as 1.4~2.0 times longer than the acceleration length of one lane entrance ramp. It is also recommended that acceleration length for two lane entrance ramp should be designed according to the level of service at the right most lane (level of service A : 1.4 B : 1.6 C : 1.8 D : 2.0 times of the one lane entrance ramp acceleration length) on freeway.

  • The behavior of fatigue delamination in a GLARE(Glass Fiber Reinforced Metal Laminates) under fatigue loading conditions investigated. The behavior of fatigue delamination was examined basing on investigation of the crack and delamination using a SAM (Scanning Acoustic Microscope). The crack and delamination behavior on the relationship among a-N, SAM images and crack length-delamination length were considered. The test results indicated the features of different fatigue delamination and crack growth according to each fiber orientation angle and also obtained to more increase delamination than crack through the relationship between crack length and delamination length in GLARE.

  • For identification of morphometric characteristics in rainbow trout, Oncorhynchus mykiss, coho salmon, O. kisutch, and their allotriploid, twenty one body traits were measured, and the ratios of each trait to fork length, length from postorbital to the origin of caudal fin and head length were calculated. The ratios of fin length to fin height in anal, dorsal and adipose fins showed significant differences among these two species and their allotriploid $(p\leq0.01)$. Allotriploid could be distinguished easily from two parents species in the ratios of length of origin of ventral fin to fork length and anal fin length to anal fin height.

  • This paper deals with the flexural behavior of RC hems strengthened with CFRP plate and the estimation on anchorage length of CFRP Plate. Experimental variables included concrete strength, reinforcement ratio, cover thickness of concrete and length ratio of CFRP plate for a pure span. A failure load, failure mode, deflection and strain response at different distances from a cut-off point of CFRP plate were observed and anchorage length was determined through strain distribution of CFRP plate. Herein, anchorage length is defined the length between CFRP plate end and the beginning point of full composite behavior. Also, the anchorage length observed from the experiment was compared with Nguyen's equation and BS specification.

  • This paper investigated the properties of flexural behavior of composite beams (end-Reinforced concrete, center-Steel concrete) according to attaching length of main bars to flange, shear reinforcing length for different types of structure. In the preceding study, structural properties of composite beams were investigated according to shear span to depth ratio, attaching method of main bars and shear reinforcing method. Based on these results, a series of experiments was carried out according to attaching length of main bar & reinforcing length for different types of structure. Consequently, as attaching length of main bar and shear reinforcing length increased, composite beams represented higher strength, ductility index and stress mechanism distributed in connection zone of different types of structure.

  • We examined the relative growth of Microstomus achne during early life stages of laboratory-reared larvae and juveniles. Turning points in the relative growth of preanal length and upper jaw length against total length occurred during the settlement period (11.12-19.91 mm in total length). However, turning points in the relative growth of head length and eye diameter, as compared to total length, occurred during metamorphosis (17.57-22.47 mm in total length). Our results suggest that Microstomus achne concentrates its energy on the feeding apparatus (jaw) and digestive organs (intestine) rather than sensory or neural organs (eye, head) during early larval stage growth.

  • In evaluating the ultimate strength of a section for a concrete flexural member, the effect of member length is not usually considered, even though the strength tends to decrease with increase of member length. In this paper the influence of specimen length on flexural compressive strength of concrete was evaluated. For this purpose, a series of C-shaped specimens subjected to axial compression and bending moment were tested using four different length-to-depth ratios(from 1, 2, 3 and 4) of specimens with compressive strength of 58 MPa. Results indicate that the reduction in flexural compressive strength with increase of length-to-width ratios was apparent. A model equation was derived using regression analyses on the experimental data. It was also founded that the effect of specimen length on ultimate strain was negligible, but its effect of the ultimate load and the displacement at center of specimen was distinct. Finally more general model equation is also suggested.

  • Decision process for length dimension in the mechanical system design process has been studied with a washing machine transmission as a model. The results are, (i) the length dimensions of the non-shaft elements are independent of other elements, (ii) the length dimensions of the shaft elements are dependent on the dimensions of the non-shaft elements located inside and outside of that elements, (iii) the length dimensions of the inner shaft elements are dependent on those of the outer shaft elements located parallel, (iv) the length dimensions of the shaft elements located serial are independent of each other.
