유아의 학습관련 사회적 기술을 예언하는 부모양육에 대한 연구 (The relationship between parenting and children's learning related social skills)

  • The present study examined variables relevant to children's learning-related social skills to determine predictive contributions of such variables as parenting behaviors and parenting competence. Subjects were 130 four and five years old children and their parents. Data were analyzed with mean, standard deviation, t-test, bivariate correlation, multiple regression, and step-wise multiple regression. Results indicated that passionate participation parenting and parenting competence were significantly correlated with children's learning-related social skills, and passionate participation parenting was the most critical predictors of children's learning-related social skills.

PBL 기반 <토의> 수업 모형의 구현과 평가: 부산대학교 수업개발 사례를 중심으로 (Implementation and Evaluation of a Course: A Case Study of PBL Class at Pusan National University)

  • This paper aims to develop the learning contents of PBL based program and analyze the result of evaluation questionnaire to examine the students' thoughts concerning the effectiveness of PBL course and their satisfaction. 'Discussion' is one of the representative communicative types, especially requesting both communication competence and teamwork among team members. This study was conducted with 218 junior and senior students taking lectures of ${\ll}$Presentation and Debate Skills${\gg}$ in the college of engineering at Pusan National University. According to the evaluation result, students experienced various effects of PBL such as (1) self-directed learning, (2) cooperative learning, (3) problem solving skills, etc. Students pointed out also as merits of PBL course, (1) knowledge acquisition and information sharing among students, (2) improvement of communicative competence, (3) amelioration of teamwork, (4) progress of the problem solving skills. However, there have been several difficulties and problems during PBL process, implications for ameliorating PBL based were discussed and suggested in detail.

의사소통 능력을 높여주는 어휘 지도에 대한 연구: 동사를 중심으로 (A study on vocabulary instruction to improve English communicative competence: Focus on English verbs)

  • The purpose of the present study is to explore an effective way of teaching English vocabulary which is geared toward improving students' English communicative competence. This study focuses on English verbs, which may be followed by patterns according to subcategorization. Learning verbs must include learning about patterns as well as meaning in order to improve the ability to use verbs receptively and productively, or communicative competence. On the basis of the language progression proposed by Willis (2003), a teaching strategy which helps learners learn English verb patterns effectively and systematically was proposed. The effect of the teaching strategy was investigated. The subjects of the experimental group who learned English verb patterns intentionally through the teaching strategy proposed by this study significantly improved themselves in the ability to use them receptively and productively. This result shows that the teaching strategy including improvisation, recognition, rehearsal, system building, exploration and consolidation is helpful to improving communicative competence.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of simulation-based maternity nursing practice by applying problem based learning (PBL) on the problem solving process, self-confidence in clinical performance and nursing competence of nursing students. Methods: This study was one group pre-posttest design, with 123 third year nursing students. Data were collected from March 19 to May 29, 2013 as the students completed their simulation practice class. Students completed a survey about their problem solving process, self-confidence, and nursing competence at the beginning and the end of the class. Results: Students' problem solving process, self-confidence, and nursing competence showed significant improvements after the simulation-based maternity nursing practice. Conclusion: Therefore, it is recommended that current maternity nursing curriculum should be reviewed and improved, and the students should be provided variety of simulation-based education and maternity nursing skills.

어머니의 과보호 양육행동과 아동의 공격성, 위축 및 자기유능감 (Maternal Overprotective Behavior and Their Children's Aggression, Withdrawal and Perceived Competence)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships of mothers exhibiting maternal overprotective behavior and their children's aggression, withdrawal and perceived competence. For data collecting, 339 children attending the fifth/sixth grade of elementary school in Kwangju were involved. The major findings were as follows: First, maternal overprotective behavior related to school learning showed a significant difference due to the children's sex. Furthermore, maternal overprotective behavior related to daily life and school learning showed a significant difference due to the children's grade. Second, maternal overprotective behavior related to daily life showed a significant difference due to the mother's education level. Finally, the result of multiple regression analysis on the effects of the mother's overprotective behavior to the children's aggression, withdrawal, and perceived competence indicated that maternal overprotective behavior related to daily life and school learning was the significant contributing factor. All in all, the variables accounted for 11% of the children's aggression, 11% of the children's withdrawal, and 6% of the children's perceived competence.

야외지질답사와 과학적 모델링에서 중학생들의 표상적 능력에 관한 이해 (Understanding of Middle School Students' Representational Competence in Learning in Geological Field Trip with Scientific Modeling)

  • 이 연구는 과학적 모델을 적용한 두 차례 야외지질학습(관악산과 한탄강 형성과정)에서 학생들이 보여주는 표상적 능력에 대한 이해를 목적으로 하였다. 수도권 소재 대학부설 영재원 10명의 학생들이 자발적으로 참여하였다. 야외학습환경과 교실학습환경에서 학생들이 작성한 서면 자료, 수업 과정에 대한 모든 영상녹음 및 음성 녹음 자료, 수업 종료 후 면담 자료를 수집하였다. 표상적 능력 수준을 구분하는 분석틀로 학생들의 표상 능력의 단계를 구분하고 과학적 모델 형성 과정에서 표상적 능력의 수준과 최종모델과의 결과론적인 해석을 덧붙였다. 그 결과 학생들의 표상적 능력은 1~6수준까지 다양하게 나타났다. 다만, 학생들은 야외학습환경에서 교실학습환경보다 상대적으로 낮은 수준의 표상적 능력을 보였다. 즉, 야외학습환경에서 상대적으로 낮은 수준의 표상적 능력으로부터 시작되어 교실학습환경에서 학생들이 표상적 능력의 수준을 높인 것을 결과론적으로 보였다. 궁극적으로 학생들의 표상적 능력을 이해하는 것은 과학적 모델 형성과정에서 현상을 설명하기 위한 도구로써 학술적인 의미를 지녔다.

웹기반 인공호흡기 실무 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 학습이 간호학생의 지식과 임상수행능력에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Web-based Multimedia Contents for Mechanical Ventilator Practice on Knowledge and Clinical Competence of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of web-based learning for ventilator practice on the knowledge and clinical competence of nursing students. Method: The research design was a non-equivalent control group pre-post non-synchronized design. Twenty five nursing students were collected for the experimental group from August 23 to November 26, 2004 and nineteen nursing students for the control group from August 22 to November 25, 2005. All subjects experienced clinical practices in an intensive care unit of a hospital in G city for 2 weeks. The web-based learning for ventilator practice was conducted in the experimental group only. The data were analyzed with t-test and ANCOVA using SPSS 10.1 program. Result: The 2 week web-based clinical practice learning significantly improved the knowledge scores for the experimental group, however, there was no significant differences in the score for the clinical competence between experimental and control group. Conclusion: These findings suggest that a self-directed web-based learning for ventilator practice of nursing students can facilitate the knowledge of care for a ventilated patient. Therefore, faculties should develop a variety of web-based multimedia content programs for clinical instruction based on clinical situation.

표준화환자를 활용한 실습교육이 피하주사 간호수행능력, 자기주도학습 준비도 및 문제해결능력에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Teaching Method using Standardized Patients on Nursing Competence in Subcutaneous Injection, Self-Directed Learning Readiness, and Problem Solving Ability)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of teaching method using Standardized Patients (SPs) on nursing competence, self-directed learning readiness, and problem solving ability-focusing on subcutaneous insulin injection. Methods: This research was a nonequivalent control group non-synchronized post-test design. The subjects consisted of 62 junior nursing students at E University. Scenarios to train SPs and checklists to evaluate the students' competence were developed by our research team. The experimental group (n=31) participated in the teaching class using SPs. The control group (n=31) received traditional practice education. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive analysis, $\chi^2$/Fisher's exact test, t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and Cronbach's $\alpha$ using SPSS WIN 14.0 Program. Results: The mean scores of competence, self-directed learning readiness, and problem solving were significantly higher in the experimental group than the control group. Conclusion: As confirmed by this research findings, the teaching method using SPs was more effective than the traditional method to improve junior nursing students' competence, self-directed learning readiness, and problem solving. Therefore, It is necessary to develop a various of scenarios and to testify their effectiveness.

대학과 협력한 초등수학 교사학습공동체의 발달 과정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Professional Learning Community in Mathematics Based on the Collaboration with University and Its Affiliated Elementary School)

  • The purpose of this study is to explain the long term growth and development of elementary teachers' Professional Learning Communities(PLC) about mathematics implemented on an institutional basis. Especially, it is meaningful to analyze and present the development process and characteristics of PLC, which was started by the basis on the collaboration of a National University of Education and its affiliated elementary school. In this study, PLC activities during three years were analyzed according to the capacities and dimensions of a professional learning community. The developmental capacity of the PLC analyzed in this study can be summarized as follows. In the first year, development of organizational competence in terms of capacity, resources, structure, and system of exchanges was the main factor in personal competence, and the development of individual competence began to share collective learning and practice. In the second year, personal exchanges were active in all the topics of activities, and personal level competence was activated such that more activities of critical knowledge formation were performed on an individual level. On the basis of the development of the individual level formed in the second, individual competence and organizational capacity developed. Factors that have influenced the development of capacities of PLC include: disclosure of activities outside the community, participation in outsiders, provision of procedures to share equal participation and leadership, voluntary and critical participation of teachers, improvement of mathematics teaching methods, sharing themes and visions.

시뮬레이션 교육이 간호대학생의 자기주도 학습능력, 메타인지, 임상수행능력에 미치는 효과 (Effects of a Simulation-based Program on Self-Directed Learning Ability, Metacognition and Clinical Competence in a Nursing Student)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생을 대상으로 시뮬레이션 교육이 자기주도 학습능력, 메타인지, 임상수행능력에 미치는 효과를 파악하기 위해 실시되었다. 시뮬레이션 교육은 청주시 소재 대학교 간호학과 4학년 88명을 대상으로 팀별 사전토의, 팀 시뮬레이션, 디브리핑으로 구성되어 12주간 운영되었다. 사전 자료 수집은 2014년 10월 8일에, 사후 자료 수집은 12주간 시뮬레이션 교육이 종료된 후 2014년 12월 8일에 수행되었다. 연구결과, 시뮬레이션 교육 후 자기주도 학습능력(t=4.270, p<.001), 메타인지(t=4.435, p<.001)는 교육 전보다 통계적으로 유의하게 상승하였고, 임상수행능력은 교육 전보다 상승하긴 하였으나 통계적으로 유의하진 않았다. 그러므로, 간호대학생의 자기주도 학습능력, 메타인지, 임상수행능력 향상을 위해 보다 체계적인 시뮬레이션 교육과정의 개발 및 운영이 필요할 것으로 사료된다.
