This article comes up with a new method which is based on the visual characteristic of the objects and machine learning technology to achieve semi-automated recognition of the personnel, machine & materials of the construction sites. Balancing the real-time performance and accuracy, using Faster RCNN (Faster Region-based Convolutional Neural Networks) with transfer learning method appears to be a rational choice. After fine-tuning an ImageNet pre-trained Faster RCNN and testing with it, the result shows that the precision ratio (mAP) has so far reached 67.62%, while the recall ratio (AR) has reached 56.23%. In other word, this recognizing method has achieved rational performance. Further inference with the video of the construction of Huoshenshan Hospital also indicates preliminary success.

We propose a fall recognition system using a deep learning algorithm using motion data acquired by a Doppler radar sensor. Among the deep learning algorithms, an RNN that has an advantage in time series data is used to recognize falls. The fall data of the Doppler radar sensor has a temporal characteristic as time series data, and the structure of the RNN is sequenced because the result only determines whether a fall or not It is designed in a structure that outputs a fixed size to the input.

In swarm robot systems, each robot must behaves by itself according to the its states and environments, and if necessary, must cooperates with other robots in order to carry out a given task. Therefore it is essential that each robot has both learning and evolution ability to adapt the dynamic environments. In this paper, the new polygon based Q-learning algorithm and distributed genetic algorithms are proposed for behavior learning and evolution of collective autonomous mobile robots. And by distributed genetic algorithm exchanging the chromosome acquired under different environments by communication each robot can improve its behavior ability Specially, in order to improve the performance of evolution, selective crossover using the characteristic of reinforcement learning is adopted in this paper. we verify the effectiveness of the proposed method by applying it to cooperative search problem.
This paper adopts a present basis of research on the Chinese characteristic culture of enterprise, phenomenon of learning, learning attitude and transferring of learning attitude, and forms a research model and hypothesis. There are three different types of Chinese enterprises basined on the research of Chinese intellectuals: legalistic organization, the ethic organization culture and seeking development organization culture, from which the legalistic organization culture has positive influence on the people level learning and structure level learning by the test of hypothesis. Ethnic organizational cultural has positive influence on the organization level; however, it never has any contributions to the people leanings. Seeking development organization culture benefits a lot to the people leanings, but it never has any positive influence on the organizational cultures.
The increased turbidity in rivers during flood events has various effects on water environmental management, including drinking water supply systems. Thus, prediction of turbid water is essential for water environmental management. Recently, various advanced machine learning algorithms have been increasingly used in water environmental management. Ensemble machine learning algorithms such as random forest (RF) and gradient boosting decision tree (GBDT) are some of the most popular machine learning algorithms used for water environmental management, along with deep learning algorithms such as recurrent neural networks. In this study GBDT, an ensemble machine learning algorithm, and gated recurrent unit (GRU), a recurrent neural networks algorithm, are used for model development to predict turbidity in a river. The observation frequencies of input data used for the model were 2, 4, 8, 24, 48, 120 and 168 h. The root-mean-square error-observations standard deviation ratio (RSR) of GRU and GBDT ranges between 0.182~0.766 and 0.400~0.683, respectively. Both models show similar prediction accuracy with RSR of 0.682 for GRU and 0.683 for GBDT. The GRU shows better prediction accuracy when the observation frequency is relatively short (i.e., 2, 4, and 8 h) where GBDT shows better prediction accuracy when the observation frequency is relatively long (i.e. 48, 120, 160 h). The results suggest that the characteristics of input data should be considered to develop an appropriate model to predict turbidity.
Background: A Teachable Machine is a kind of machine learning web-based tool for general persons. In this paper, the feasibility of Google's Teachable Machine (ver. 2.0) was studied in the diagnosis of the tooth-marked tongue. Methods: For machine learning of tooth-marked tongue diagnosis, a total of 1,250 tongue images were used on Kaggle's web site. Ninety percent of the images were used for the training data set, and the remaining 10% were used for the test data set. Using Google's Teachable Machine (ver. 2.0), machine learning was performed using separated images. To optimize the machine learning parameters, I measured the diagnosis accuracies according to the value of epoch, batch size, and learning rate. After hyper-parameter tuning, the ROC (receiver operating characteristic) analysis method determined the sensitivity (true positive rate, TPR) and specificity (false positive rate, FPR) of the machine learning model to diagnose the tooth-marked tongue. Results: To evaluate the usefulness of the Teachable Machine in clinical application, I used 634 tooth-marked tongue images and 491 no-marked tongue images for machine learning. When the epoch, batch size, and learning rate as hyper-parameters were 75, 0.0001, and 128, respectively, the accuracy of the tooth-marked tongue's diagnosis was best. The accuracies for the tooth-marked tongue and the no-marked tongue were 92.1% and 72.6%, respectively. And, the sensitivity (TPR) and specificity (FPR) were 0.92 and 0.28, respectively. Conclusion: These results are more accurate than Li's experimental results calculated with convolution neural network. Google's Teachable Machines show good performance by hyper-parameters tuning in the diagnosis of the tooth-marked tongue. We confirmed that the tool is useful for several clinical applications.
In this study, using deep learning, super-resolution images of transmission electron microscope (TEM) images were generated for nanomaterial analysis. 1169 paired images with 256 × 256 pixels (high resolution: HR) from TEM measurements and 32 × 32 pixels (low resolution: LR) produced using the python module openCV were trained with deep learning models. The TEM images were related to DyVO4 nanomaterials synthesized by hydrothermal methods. Mean-absolute-error (MAE), peak-signal-to-noise-ratio (PSNR), and structural similarity (SSIM) were used as metrics to evaluate the performance of the models. First, a super-resolution image (SR) was obtained using the traditional interpolation method used in computer vision. In the SR image at low magnification, the shape of the nanomaterial improved. However, the SR images at medium and high magnification failed to show the characteristics of the lattice of the nanomaterials. Second, to obtain a SR image, the deep learning model includes a residual network which reduces the loss of spatial information in the convolutional process of obtaining a feature map. In the process of optimizing the deep learning model, it was confirmed that the performance of the model improved as the number of data increased. In addition, by optimizing the deep learning model using the loss function, including MAE and SSIM at the same time, improved results of the nanomaterial lattice in SR images were achieved at medium and high magnifications. The final proposed deep learning model used four residual blocks to obtain the characteristic map of the low-resolution image, and the super-resolution image was completed using Upsampling2D and the residual block three times.
A GA is one of the best method to find optimal value in searching area. A GA is driven by probabilistic selection that based on the survival of the fittest. So this algorithm need a huge solving time even if it can be used lots of optimizing problem such as structural design, machine learning, system's identification and so on. This GA's characteristic constrain the program to drive offline. Some studies try to use this algorithm on online or reduce the GA's running time with parallel GA or micro GA. Unfortunately these studies still didn't reduce amount of fitness solving. If the chromosome was imported to the system, it affected system's stability. And when the control system uses online GA, it also doesn't have enough learning time. In this study, try to find stability criterion to reduce the chromosome's affection and find the characteristic of the number of population and generation when GA was driven into the wide searching area.
Linearization of transducer characteristic plays a vital role in electronic instrumentation because all transducers have outputs nonlinearly related to the physical variables they sense. If the transducer output is nonlinear, it will produce a whole assortment of problems. Transducers rarely possess a perfectly linear transfer characteristic, but always have some degree of non-linearity over their range of operation. Attempts have been made by many researchers to increase the range of linearity of transducers. This paper presents a method to compensate nonlinearity of Linear Variable Displacement Transducer (LVDT) based on Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) method, Differential Evolution (DE) algorithm and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) trained by Genetic Algorithm (GA). Because of the mechanism structure, LVDT often exhibit inherent nonlinear input-output characteristics. The best approximation capability of optimized ANN technique is beneficial to this. The use of this proposed method is demonstrated through computer simulation with the experimental data of two different LVDTs. The results reveal that the proposed method compensated the presence of nonlinearity in the displacement transducer with very low training time, lowest Mean Square Error (MSE) value and better linearity. This research work involves less computational complexity and it behaves a good performance for nonlinearity compensation for LVDT and has good application prospect.
In the process of solving a linear equation, some questions had equal sign('=') relation properly, while other questions did not have equal sign('=') relation properly. Since whether students could express equal sign('=') relation properly or not is determined by questions, the direction for teaching should be instituted, and instruction and teaching should be conducted by comparing and analyzing after conducing tests on may items. Most of students who got the answer for items without the method of solving a linear equation solved the items using binomial. For questions asking to solve using the characteristic of equality, most of students solved the questions using binomial instead of using the characteristic of equality. Therefore, instruction and learning to solve equations using both the characteristic of equality and binomial have to be achieved.
