교과기반평가를 위한 성과중심 교과목 평가설계모형 개발 (Development on the model of outcome-based course evaluation design for Course-Embedded Assessment)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the model of course evaluation design for CEA(Course-Embedded Assessment), which is focused on course level for assessment reliability. This study was conducted by the process of model development and validation according to Richey & Klein(2007)'s model development methodology. The model of this study was comprised with the three steps of learning objectives based on course outcome, assessment design and goal achievement analysis of course, which were explained by specific design principles. Also, this model was validated by two steps, which one was on the inner validation and the other was the outer validation(Richey & Klein, 2007). Considerations for designing the model of course evaluation have been suggested and a few implications were discussed.

A Machine Learning Approach to Korean Language Stemming

  • Morphological analysis and POS tagging require a dictionary for the language at hand . In this fashion though it is impossible to analyze a language a dictionary. We also have difficulty if significant portion of the vocabulary is new or unknown . This paper explores the possibility of learning morphology of an agglutinative language. in particular Korean language, without any prior lexical knowledge of the language. We use unsupervised learning in that there is no instructor to guide the outcome of the learner, nor any tagged corpus. Here are the main characteristics of the approach: First. we use only raw corpus without any tags attached or any dictionary. Second, unlike many heuristics that are theoretically ungrounded, this method is based on statistical methods , which are widely accepted. The method is currently applied only to Korean language but since it is essentially language-neutral it can easily be adapted to other agglutinative languages.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the change of comprehension degree about learning satisfaction and capstone class by applying the subject which draws idea for team project task in college to creative capstone design program. The Capstone Design Program is designed to train fieldworkers with creative problem solving skills and is widely applied as a problem-solving course in team-based projects. In this paper, based on the case study of the 'fusion capstone design' operated in the first semester of 2015 ~ 2017, the capstone design course was established in the course of designing ideas for problem solving. The results of this study are as follows: First, the questionnaire about capstone design instruction process, instruction method, and learning achievement satisfaction were analyzed. As a result, understanding of capstone design was found to be higher than that of class before class, and satisfaction of performance course, method of teaching performance and learning outcome were obtained.

A sensitivity analysis of machine learning models on fire-induced spalling of concrete: Revealing the impact of data manipulation on accuracy and explainability

  • Using an extensive database, a sensitivity analysis across fifteen machine learning (ML) classifiers was conducted to evaluate the impact of various data manipulation techniques, evaluation metrics, and explainability tools. The results of this sensitivity analysis reveal that the examined models can achieve an accuracy ranging from 72-93% in predicting the fire-induced spalling of concrete and denote the light gradient boosting machine, extreme gradient boosting, and random forest algorithms as the best-performing models. Among such models, the six key factors influencing spalling were maximum exposure temperature, heating rate, compressive strength of concrete, moisture content, silica fume content, and the quantity of polypropylene fiber. Our analysis also documents some conflicting results observed with the deep learning model. As such, this study highlights the necessity of selecting suitable models and carefully evaluating the presence of possible outcome biases.

사이버대학생의 학습성과에 대한 과제가치, 지각된 유용성, 교수실재감의 영향 (The Effects of Task Value, Perceived Usefulness, and Teaching Presence on Learning Outcomes in Cyber University)

  • 본 연구는 사이버대학생의 과제가치, 지각된 유용성이 학습성과(학습몰입, 학습지속의향)에 미치는 영향과 교수실재감의 매개효과를 분석하기 위해, H 사이버대학생 137명을 대상으로 수행되었다. 그 결과, 과제가치와 지각된 유용성은 학습몰입과 학습지속의향에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 요인으로 확인되었으며, 교수실재감은 과제 가치와 지각된 유용성이 학습성과(학습몰입, 학습지속의향)을 예측하는 데 있어 매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 사이버대학생의 학습성과(학습몰입, 학습지속의향)를 높이기 위해서는 과제가치, 지각된 유용성 향상을 위한 학습과정 설계 전략과 함께 교수자의 역할과 행동, 촉진을 제공하기 위한 노력이 필요함을 시사한다.

  • 본 논문은 컴퓨터 네트워크 학습을 위해 그래픽, 음성 등의 멀티미디어 요소와 애니메이션, 시뮬레이션과 같은 다양한 기법을 코스웨어에 접목시켜 학습자의 학습 의욕과 학습 성취도를 높일 수 있도록 제작된 컴퓨터 네트워크 웹 코스웨어이다. 강의 음성이 함께 제공되어지는 학습내용을 바탕으로 학습이 진행되도록 구성되어 있으며, 학습 내용에 따라 애니메이션 또는 시뮬레이션을 통한 학습이 제공된다. 특히 시뮬레이션을 통한 학습에서는 단순한 시뮬레이션에서부터 복잡한 시뮬레이션까지 학습자가 선택할 수 있으므로 기존의 웹 코스웨어보다 학습자가 더욱더 이해하기 쉽고 재미있게 학습을 진행해 나갈 수 있다.

평가기준 활용을 통한 수준별 학습자료 구안.적용이 수학과 학력 신장에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Designing and Applying the Level-Based Learing Materials by Assessment Standards on the Achievement Enhancement of Mathematics Course)

  • As a result of carrying out t-test against the learning activity that used the learning materials designed by level, significant disparity was found. Thus, it was found that hte effect of this learning activity became more visible with lapse of time. But the major cause by which there appeared small significant disparity as a result of testing is that the units of experiment were limited and that the period of using the learning materials was not long. In an analysis on the results of interest test, the experimental class also appeared to show the average score that was higher than that of the comparative class by 0.10 after converting a decimal point. The outcome of attitude test was that the experimental class showed a higher average score by 0.11, as a result of converting a decimal point, than that of the comparative class. So, a large number of students showed an improved reaction. But, there seemed some problems of the learning materials or the method of progressing the activity in changing under achievement students or students who avoided studying math. When the effect of the level-based learning activity was investigated, more than 80% of the experimental class’s students showed a positive reaction. Thus, it could be judged that students, who felt some burden at studying math, might be served more largely, not by teacher’s uniform instruction, but by an individual learning using the level-based learning materials that enabled them to do a systematic self-learning for themselves.

Teaching Switching Converter Design Using Problem-Based Learning with Simulation of Characterization Modeling

  • In this paper, teaching in a "switching converter (SC) design" course using problem-based learning (PBL) with dynamicbehavior- model simulation, given at Lunghwa University of Science and Technology (LHU), Taiwan, is proposed. The devised methodology encourages students to design and implement the SCs and regulate the controller's parameters in frequency domain by using 'sisitool' ('bode') in the MATLAB toolbox. The environment of PBL with converter characterization modeling and simulation reforms the learning outcome greatly and speeds up the teaching-learning process. To qualify and evaluate the learning achievements, a hands-on project cooperated with the continuous assessment approach is performed to modulate the teaching pace and learning direction in good time. Results from surveys conducted in the end of the course provided valuable opinions and suggestions for assessing and improving the learning effect of the proposed course successively. Positive feedbacks from the examinations, homework, questionnaires, and the answers to the lecturer's quizzes during class indicated that the presented pedagogy supplied more helpfulness to students in comparisons with conventional teaching paradigm, their learning accomplishments were better than expected as well.

평생학습 학습성과 평가를 위한 자기주도학습 준비도 검사도구(SDLRS)의 타당성 연구 (Study on Validity of SDLRS Instrument for Evaluation of Life-Long Outcome)

  • 본 연구는 평생학습 능력의 중심 개념인 자기주도학습의 측정을 위한 자기주도학습 준비도 검사도구(SDLRS)의 신뢰도, 타당도를 검증하여, 공학교육의 프로그램 학습성과 항목 중 평생학습 능력의 평가도구로서의 활용 가능성을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위한 구체적인 연구목표는 다음과 같다. 즉, 자기주도학습 준비도 검사도구의 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하고 공과대학 학생들의 개인 변인에 따른 자기주도학습 준비도의 차이를 검증하는 것이다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 문헌연구와 조사연구를 수행하였는데, 평생학습과 자기주도학습에 대한 문헌연구를 토대로 Gugliemino(1977)의 자기주도학습 준비도 검사도구를 이용하여 경기도 소재 A대학의 기계공학 전공 학생들 218명을 대상으로 조사연구를 수행하였다. 검사도구는 5점 척도로 구성되어 있으며 수집된 자료는 기술통계, 요인분석, t검증, ANOVA에 의한 F검증 등의 분석 방법이 이용되었다. 58개의 원검사 도구는 7차례에 걸친 요인분석 결과 23개 문항으로 압축되었다. 또한 학습에 대한 사랑, 학습에 대한 개방성, 자아개념, 기본학습기능과 독립성, 학습에 대한 책임수용, 주도성과 미래지향성, 독창성과 탐구적 특성의 7개 요인으로 재구조화되었으며 전체 변량의 약 58%를 설명하였으며 Cronbach $\alpha$값은 .8332이었다. 개인적 배경에 따른 자기주도학습 준비도 분석 결과 학년, 산업체 근무기간, 대학원 진학계획, 학점에 대해서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있었으나, 성별, 산업체 근무여부, 부모의 학력, 가구의 소득 수준에 따라서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이상과 같은 연구를 기초로 하여 향후에는 보다 많은 모집단을 대상으로 연구를 수행함으로써 연구결과를 검증해 볼 필요가 있다. 또한, 다양한 검사도구의 적용을 통해 검사도구간의 상관관계 및 평생학습에 영향을 주는 능력과의 상관관계에 대한 후속연구를 수행함으로써 평생학습 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안에 대한 연구를 보다 체계적으로 수행해야 할 것이다.

간호학 학사학위 프로그램 학습성과 평가체계 개발 사례: 간호리더십 능력 향상을 중심으로 (A Study on Evaluation System for Nursing Bachelor Degree Program Outcomes: Focus on Improvement in Nursing Leadership Ability)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to develop a nursing leadership program outcome evaluation system, required for accreditation of nursing education. Methods: A methodological design was used. To ensure the theoretical validity of the evaluation system, learning objectives for nursing education programs and job descriptions for nurses in Korea were verified by analyzing the relationships in the five attributes of the nursing leadership concept. The nursing leadership program outcome evaluation system was developed based on the Kim & Park's developmental model (2008). Results: The nursing leadership program outcome evaluation system was established, including implementation level, education curriculum, level of performance, evaluation method, rubrics, and Close-the-Loop. Conclusion: The developed evaluation system can be actively used in nursing education, and contribute to enhancing the leadership competencies of nursing students and graduate nurses.
