센서노드에서의 빠른 데이터 전달을 위한 효율적 패킷 전송 기법 (Efficient Packet Transmission Method for Fast Data Dissemination in Senor Node)

  • Sensor network is used to obtain sensing data in various area. The interval to sense the events depends on the type of target application and the amounts of data generated by sensor nodes are not constant. Many applications exploit long sensing interval to enhance the life time of network but there are specific applications that requires very short interval to obtain fine-grained, high-precision sensing data. If the number of nodes in the network is increased and the interval to sense data is shortened, the amounts of generated data are greatly increased and this leads to increased amount of packets to transfer to the network. To transfer large amount of packets fast, it is necessary that the delay between successive packet transmissions should be minimized as possible. In Sensor network, since the Operating Systems are worked on the event driven, the Timer Event is used to transfer packets successively. However, since the transferring time of packet completely is varies very much, it is very hard to set appropriate interval. The longer the interval, the higher the delay and the shorter the delay, the larger the fail of transfer request. In this paper, we propose ESTEO which reduces the delay between successive packet transmissions by using SendDone Event which informs that a packet transmission has been completed.In ESTEO, the delay between successive packet transmissions is shortened very much since the transmission of next packet starts at the time when the transmission of previous packet has completed, irrespective of the transmission timee. Therefore ESTEO could provide high packet transmission rate given large amount of packets.

  • DCS has many processing components and various communication elements. And its communication delay characteristic is affected diverse operating situation and context. Especially, binding signal which traversed from one control-node to another control-node undergo all sort of delay conditions. So its delay value has large deviation with the lapse of time, and the measurement of delay statistics during long time is very difficult by using general oscilloscope or other normal instruments. This thesis introduces the design and implementation of PC-based BDAS(Binding Delay Analysis System) System developed to overcomes these hardships. The system has signal-generator, IO-card, data-acquisition module, delay-calculation and analyzer module, those are implemented on industrial standard PC/Ethernet hardware and Windows/Linux platforms. This system can detect accurate whole-system-wide delay time including io, control processing and network delay, in the resolution of msec unit, and can analyze each channel's delay-historic data which is maintained by realtime database. So, this system has strong points of open system architecture, for example, user-friendly environment, low cost, high compatibility, simplicity of maintenance and high extension ability. Of all things, the measuring capability of long-time delay-statistics obtained through historic-DB make the system more valuable and useful, which function is essential to analyze accurate delay performance of DCS system. Using this system, the verification of delay performance of DCS for nuclear power plants is succeeded in KNICS(Korea Nuclear Instrumentation & Control System) projects

이중루프 위상.지연고정루프 설계 (A Design of an Integer-N Dual-Loop Phase.Delay Locked Loop)

  • 본 논문에서는 전압제어지연단(Voltage Controlled Delay Line : VCDL)을 이용하여 기존의 위상고정루프와 다른 형태의 위상 지연고정루프(Phase Delay Locked Loop)를 제안하였다. 이 구조를 이용하여 기존의 위상고정루프의 2차 또는 3차 루프필터(Loop Filter)를 단하나의 커패시터로 구현하여 칩의 크기를 크게 줄였다. 새로이 제안하는 듀얼루프 위상 자연고정루프에서는 전압제어지연단 경로의 커패시터와 전하펌프의 전류 크기를 조절함으로서 작은 이득 값을 가지는 전압제어지연단을 사용할 수 있다. 제안된 회로는 $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS 공정의 파라미터를 이용하여 Hspice로 시뮬레이션을 수행하고 회로의 동작을 검증하였다.

수소/공기/HFP 혼합기의 화학반응 및 점화지연 특성 (Characteristics of Chemical Reaction and Ignition Delay of $H_2$/Air/HFP Mixtures)

  • The chemistry and ignition delay of hydrogen/air/HFP premixed mixtures was investigated numerically with unsteady perfectly stirred reactor(PSR). The detailed chemistry of 93 species and 817 reaction mechanism was introduced for hydrogen/air/HFP mixtures. The results shows the temporal concentration variations of major or reactants such as hydrogen and oxygen during autoignition were similar to the spatial distribution of premixed flame while water vapor produced at the ignition temperature was decomposed later, which can be clarified with the relate species production rates that the the re-growth (or shoulder) of OH concentration is a result of F radicals attacking $H_20$ forming OH and HF. For the stoichiometric $H_2$/air mixture inhibited by 20% HFP, HFP thermal decomposition reaction prevails over the radical attack such as H at initial stage. Even though relatively large HFP addition contributes to delay the ignition, chemical effect on the ignition delay is not effective because of late thermal decomposition of HFP. The most small ignition delay was observed at a slightly fuel lean condition ($\phi$ = 0.9), and temperature dependency of ignition delay was clearly shown near 900 K.

시간 측정범위 향상을 위한 펄스 트레인 입력 방식의 field-programmable gate array 기반 시간-디지털 변환기 (Field-Programmable Gate Array-based Time-to-Digital Converter using Pulse-train Input Method for Large Dynamic Range)

  • Field-programmable gate array (FPGA) 기반 시간-디지털 변환기 (time-to-digital converter: TDC)는 구조가 단순하고, 빠른 변환속도를 갖는 딜레이 라인 (delay-line) 방식을 주로 사용한다. 하지만 딜레이 라인 방식 TDC의 시간 측정범위를 늘리기 위해서는 딜레이 라인의 길이가 길어지므로 사용되는 소자가 많아지고, 비선형성으로 인한 오차가 증가하는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 동일한 길이의 딜레이 라인에 펄스 트레인 (pulse-train)을 입력하여 시간 측정범위를 향상시키고, 리소스를 효율적으로 사용하는 방식을 제안한다. 펄스 트레인 입력 방식의 TDC는 긴 시간을 측정하기 위하여 시작신호의 입력과 동시에 4-천이 (transition) 펄스 트레인이 딜레이 라인에 입력된다. 그리고 동기회로 (synchronizer) 대신 천이 상태 검출부를 설계하여 중지신호 입력 시 사용된 천이를 판별하고, 준안정 상태 (meta-stable state)를 피하면서 딜레이 라인의 길이를 줄이는 구조를 갖는다. 제안한 TDC는 72개의 딜레이 셀 (delay cell)을 사용하였고, 파인부 (fine interpolator)의 성능 측정 결과, 시간 측정범위는 5070 ps, 평균 분해능은 20.53 ps, 최대 비선형성은 1.46 LSB였으며, 시간 측정범위는 계단 (step) 파형을 입력신호로 사용하는 기존 방식 대비 약 343 % 향상되었다.

  • The present paper is concerned with the robust decentralized stabilization problem of large-scale systems with time delays in the interconnections using sliding mode control. Based on Lyapunov stability theorem and H$_{\infty}$ theory, an existence condition of the sliding mode and a robust decentralized sliding mode controller are newly derived for large-scale systems under mismatched uncertainties. Finally, a numerical example is given to verify the validity of the results developed in this paper.

대형 2행정 디젤기관용 모터구동 실린더 주유기의 성능에 미치는 퀼 어큐뮬레이터의 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on Effect of Quill Accumulator upon Performance of Motor-driven Cylinder Lubricator in a Large Two-stroke Diesel Engine)

  • Minimizing the cylinder wear and the consumption rate of cylinder oil in a large two-stroke marine diesel engine is of great economic importance. In Korea, a motor-driven cylinder lubricator for a large two-stroke marine diesel engine manufactured by $W{\ddot{a}}rtsil{\ddot{a}}$ Switzerland Co., Ltd. was first developed by authors through the joint research of industry-university in 2002. The characteristic of the developed product is that can control automatically the oil feed rate to a load fluctuation by the motor drive and the offset cam. The performance of the product is not also inferior to the conventional one. For manufacturing the reliable and useful products, however, it is necessary to investigate further characteristics and improve the performance of a cylinder lubricator. In this study, the effect of quill with and without accumulator on maximum discharge pressure, delivery delay duration and oil feed rate relative to motor revolution speed using plunger stroke as a parameter is experimentally investigated by using the developed cylinder lubricator. It is found that the maximum discharge pressure with accumulator is higher than that of no accumulator as plunger stroke and motor revolution speed are elevated, and the delivery delay duration with accumulator is shorter than that of no accumulator as plunger stroke and motor revolution speed are increased. Also, oil feed rate with accumulator is less than that of no accumulator except for a plunger stroke of 2 mm as plunger stroke and motor revolution speed are raised.

탄성파 지정선에 관한 연구 (a study on the elastic wave delay line)

  • 본 연구는 탄성파 지연선에 이용되는 탄성표면파중에서 SH표면파 모우드에 대하여 이론적 해석을 하였으며 그 결과 전기-기계적 결합계수가 크며 또한 여전 매질내 깊이 방향으로 아주 작은 감쇠률을 갖고 표면을 따라 전파됨을 알았단. 예로서 PZT-4인 경우 에너지의 80%가 감쇠되는 깊이는 190파장이 된다. 또한 탄성표면파 지연선을 하나의 계단자강으로서 취급하여 삽입손실를 구하였으며 특히 SH표면파 모우드와 같이 전기-기계론 결합계수가 큰 경우는 인터디지탈 트랜스듀셔의 전극폭과 윤극간 간격 사이의 비에 따라 중심 주파수가 현저히 달라진다. 그리고 탄성파 지연선의 온도계수를 벌크파인 종파, 횡파에 대하여 구하였으며 LiTaO2 Z축방향 전파의 횡파는 지연시간의 온도계수가 5.4X10-6/℃로 아주 작아짐을 알았다. 또한 LiNbO3의 130°, 64° 로테이트 Y캇트, X전파의 탄성표면파의 온도계수가 이론치와 잘 일치함을 실험적으로 확인하였다.

  • A sensor networkis composed of a large number of sensor nodes, which are densely deployed either inside the phenomenon or very close to it. One of the most important constraints on sensor nodes is the low power consumption requirement. Sensor nodes carry limited, generally irreplaceable, power sources. Therefore, while traditional networks aim to achieve high quality of service (QoS) provisions, sensor network protocols must focus primarily on power conservation. This paper presents the characteristics of energy consuming, average delay in 802.11 MAC, S-MAC that is specifically designed for wireless sensor networks. We analyze the energy consuming state in the 802.11 MAC in the simulation topology nodes, and measure average delay in 802.11 and S-MAC. Energy efficiency is the primary goal in this protocol design. 802.11 MAC is more efficient than S-MAC in the average delay, throughput. However S-MAC is an energy efficient protocol, a tradeoff between energy efficiency and delay.

상수 서비스 시간을 갖는 개방형 대기행렬의 종대종 지연과 윈도우 구조의 영향 분석 (An Impact Analysis of Window Mechanism and End to End Delay of Tandem Queueing Network with Constant Service Times)

  • In this paper, we investigate the impact of window mechanisms on end to end delay in a series of nodes with constant service times. It is shown that arbitrary combinations of window mechanisms, each applying to an arbitrary subset of data, can be embedded on the nodes without affecting the departure instants from the system if the windows are at least as large as the number of nodes spanned. The window mechanisms are shown to have no impact on the average end to end delay of data. As the condition on the windows is a minimal necessary requirement for full parallelism, the results show that the transparent operation from viewpoint of data transmission can be achieved with minimal resources.
