This study analyzes the effect of separation of dispensary from medical practice on hospital management performance. The results are as follow. The earning ratios of large size hospitals become deteriorated significantly after the separation of dispensary. The growth ratios of revenues from inpatient were unchanged, but the growth ratios of revenues from outpatient of large and middle size hospitals were decreased significantly. Hospitals can't sell the medicines to the outpatient after the separation of dispensary, but they can do to the outpatient. The labor cost ratios of small and large size hospitals are increased significantly after the separation of dispensary. There are two reasons for increase of labor cost ratios. One is the decrease of material cost ratio. The other is the increase of doctor's salary. The material cost ratios of every size hospital are decreased significantly after the separation of dispensary. Because medicines costs of outpatients are decreased. The labor cost and doctors' salary per patient of middle and large size hospitals are increased significantly after the separation of dispensary. And average treatment fees per day of inpatients of middle and large size hospitals are increased significantly after the separation of dispensary. But those of outpatients are decreased significantly. Average numbers of outpatients per bed of small and large hospitals are decreased significantly after the separation of dispensary. And average numbers of inpatients per bed of large hospitals are decreased significantly. In summary, as a consequence of separation of dispensary from medical practice, management performances of large size hospitals become deteriorated significantly.
This study aims at explaining organizational mechanisms of inequality that has been rising rapidly alongside the proliferation of irregular employment in the post-crisis Korean labor market. It argues that inequality is not sufficiently explained by individual gap in human capital or widespread marketization as such. Social categories into which each individual worker falls seems more important as a source of labor market inequality. Employment types that are composed of regular and irregular employment do not simply indicate the different economic meanings of employment contracts but have rather been institutionalized as a social category of status in the context of inequality over the past two decades. They are also often matched with other social categories such as gender that have created and reproduced greater labor market inequality. We pay attention to the organizational practice of dominant incumbents who make claims for advantages of return based on their exclusive accessibility to limited organizational resources and explain how that particular practice plays a role to increase relational inequality between those insiders who achieve advantageous returns and outsiders mostly irregular workers who are excluded from those resources because of the social categories that they belong to. In this study, we identify seniority based pay as the key organizational practice that justifies categorical differences within the workplace and examine how that particular practice contributes to organizational level segmentation and income ineqaulity.
The present study analyzes the main factor having an effect on the convergence dental hygienist's self-esteem through the survey to them. A self-leadership and professional self-conception show meaningful result with higher score in the group with higher self-respect than that of lower one(p<.001). Also the higher hygienist's self-esteem, the higher clinic practice ability(p<.01). There is negative correlation with self-esteem in emotional labor(p<.01) and exhaustion(p<.01). However, the positive correlations are presented in self-leadership(p<.01), professional self-conception(p<.01) and clinic practice ability(p<.01) with self-respect. The factors influenced on self-esteem are clinic practice ability(p<.05) and exhaustion(p<.01). In results, the organized convergence program and education considering self-esteem in the hospital should be accomplished systemically to enhance the clinic practice ability of each hygienist.

Purpose : This study examines dental hygienists' emotional labor, job satisfaction, and turnover intention and defines how this emotional labor affects job satisfaction and turnover intention in hospitals. Methods : Among the dental hygienists currently working for the dental department in hospitals and clinics located in Busan, South Korea, 216 dental hygienists who understood the purpose of this research and agreed to participate were instructed to answer a self-administered questionnaire from April 1 to April 30, 2019. A statistical analysis was subsequently conducted on the responses using the SPSS Win 23.0 program. Results : Emotional labor and job satisfaction showed a negative relationship; thus, as emotional labor was low, job satisfaction was high. Moreover, emotional labor and turnover intention were found to be positively correlated, while job satisfaction and turnover intention were shown to be negatively related (p<0.01). Conclusion : The present study demonstrated that the emotional labor of dental hygienists affects job satisfaction and turnover intention. The results suggests that through systematic organization and human resource management, hospitals should design and implement in practice programs to increase dental hygienists' job satisfaction. In addition, these hospitals should secure compensation systems that are motivating enough to enhance the severe emotional labor of dental hygienists to decrease turnover intention. As another method to lower turnover intention, dental hygienists may attempt to resolve emotional disharmony with their own problem-solving methods; however, it is necessary to develop and support organizational culture for the improvement of their working environment.
Risk information may be one of the most important factor for worker's safe behavior because that safe behavior can be oriented by attitude based on risk information. Traditionally KAP(knowledge, attitude and practice) model was useful frame for the change of human behavior. Knowledge is formed by information through experience and education. Worker's health may be prevented by his or her own active safe behavior based on risk information. This paper is to investigate the effect of labor union on the provirion of risk information by labor union. Data for analysis is the third Korean Working Conditions Survey done by Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute in 2011. The sample size is 50,032 economic active person surveyed by household interview survey with structure questionnaire by trained interviewer. The difference of risk information provision among employees was tested by mean difference test. The level of risk information of employees of companies with labor union is higher than that with non labour union. This paper has some implication for the promotion of safe behavior of employees through risk information provision mediated by labor union. Some limitation of this study may be considered because of using the cross sectional survey data.
This study reviews international discussions about the trade-labor linkage and examines the labor chapters of FTAs enforced by the US and the EU from a comparative perspective. Since early 1990s, starting from the NAFTA, the US has included forceable labor provisions in its FTAs and this trend continues to the TPP which was concluded in October 2015. On the other hand, the EU's labor provisions in its FTAs have been composed of promotional elements on labor rights based on cooperations and dialogues. These different features of labor provisions in the US and European FTAs are mainly due to the motives of the FTAs of the US and the EU respectively as well as their domestic situations with regards to domestic law and institutional set-ups. The coordination of labor provisions involves a long-term institutional as well as regulatory convergence which triggers not only economic but also social changes, compared to a relatively short-term effect of tariff elimination. For Korea which has been a FTA partner country both with the US and the EU, it is significant to keep the different characteristics in the labor provisions in mind, particularly in the process of its implementation. Concerning the implementation of Korea-US FTA, it might be problematic if Korean law and its regulatory practice on labor-management relations do not comply with that of the US. The Korea-EU FTA case can also have an indirect impact on Korea's labor laws since it stipulates in its provisions that both parties should have discussions not only within each government but also with the civil communities including NGOs. Thus, Korea should pay more attention to the true meaning in labor provisions of both FTAs in order to promote its firms to be equipped with the right labor-management system in their operations abroad.
Manfredo Tafuri's Ideological criticism in architecture has opened a new horizon to interpreting architecture in modern capitalist architecture for it views architecture not just as a style or formal invention, but in terms of socio-economical process. It offered a comprehensive understanding of a chaotic situation of contemporary architecture and historical meaning modern architectural movements in relation with capitalistic development. However, it has been criticized as architectural pessimism which does not allow any possibility for progressive architectural practice. It was also criticized of epistemological problem of how one could be outside ideology without assuming true consciousness against false consciousness of ideology. Tafuri solves this problem by assuming Althusserian activist concept of knowledge and suggest the concept of labor of writing history of critical historians, instead of a design for utopian society, as a possible critical architectural practice. However, I argue that ultimately ideological criticism does not deny architectural practice itself, nor researches on formal characteristics of architecture. The problem lies rather in the architectural Intellectuals' attachment to the traditional concept of architect as a form giver to the society. By rejecting this myth and broadening the concept of architectural practice from design to production, we can find that Ideological problem is not architectural pessimism, but rather it opens up a new way of approaching to the problem of architectural practice in modern capitalist society.

Economic transformations have led to an increase in the role of creative assets and their central role in public life. Changes in creative activity have led to a change in the organization of the work of institutes engaged in the training of specialists, in particular teachers of labor education. Methods and approaches to training determine the development of creative industries, being the basis for models of professional training of future teachers of labor training. The purpose of an article was to develop a modern model of professional training of future teachers of labor training based on the concept of creative economy. The methodology is based on the concepts of holistic craft and creative economy. Based on the integration of pedagogical learning models "Craft as design and problem-solving", "Craft as skill and knowledge building", "Craft as product-making" and "Craft as self-expression" developed and experimentally confirmed the conceptual model of professional training of future teachers of labor training. The proposed model forms a practitioner with professional, technical, digital and creative skills who is able to transfer the experience to students. The training course "Creativity and creative thinking" has been developed. The model provided for the development of a course based on the strategy of developing professional creativity, flexibility, improvisation, openness, student activity, joint practice, student-oriented approach. The practical value implies the adaptation of the developed model of professional training of future teachers of labor education during the training of teachers in higher education, which is confirmed in the experiment.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine factors influencing the retention intention of dental hygienists in clinical practice. Findings will assist in the development of strategies to increase their retention. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 261 dental hygienists who work at dental hospitals and clinics in the Jeollabuk-do area. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA (post-test Duncan), and multiple regressions. Results: The variable that demonstrated the largest influence on the retention intention of dental hygienists was purpose/meaning (${\beta}=0.283$), followed by transcendental calling (${\beta}=0.198$). These factors relate to the sense of calling. The third most influential variable was pay (${\beta}=0.150$). This relates to general characteristics. The fourth most influential factor was the frequency of emotion display (${\beta}=-0.112$), which relates to one of the sub-areas of emotional labor. Conclusions: In order to strengthen the retention intention of dental hygienists, diverse approaches should be implemented, with particular consideration for their sense of calling, emotional labor and pay.

In the construction industry, a great deal of research has been focused on productivity improvement because a minor change in labor productivity can often make the difference between a profit and a loss. This study shows how productivity measurement methods can be applied in practice, step by step, to analyze and identify potential problems both in productivity and methods performance for masonry work. A work sampling technique was conducted to determine the nature and extent of an observable activity as an aid to measuring overall performance. Also, a method productivity delay model was used to identify non-productivity in individual cycle times. From the work sampling technique, it was found that the masonry crew had a Labor Utilization Factor of 47.1%, and from the videotape analysis, it was found that the material and dumpster location need to be adjusted to reduce the travelling distance. We have found that efforts to improve the productivity of masonry work should be focused almost exclusively on machine and labor delays, based on the result from the method productivity delay model.
