A Novel Fixed-Complexity Signal Detection Technique Using Lattice Reduction for Multiple Antenna Systems (다중 안테나 시스템을 위한 고정된 연산 복잡도를 갖는 격자 감소 기반 신호 검출 기법)

  • Recently, a fixed complexity LR(fcLR) technique was proposed. Also QR-LRL signal detection method was proposed in which all constellation symbols are tried as the symbol corresponding to the least reliable layer (LRL), thereby achieving high error performance. In this paper, we combine these two efficient methods to propose a novel detection method. When the LRL is disregarded in the process of LR, the worst case complexity of LR is significantly reduced. Also, the proposed method is shown to be superior to the conventional fcLR-based detection method from the perspective of error performance. Simulations are performed to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed method.

Phenolic Compounds Contents of Rusty-Root Tolerance Ginseng Lines in 6-Year Old Root (6년생 적변내성 인삼계통의 Phenolic Compounds 함량 특성)

  • Experiments were carried out to select marker for rusty tolerance ginseng root using high rusty degree lines(HRL) and low rusty degree lines (LRL) in ginseng plant. A strong positive correlation was detected between degree of rusty-root in 4-year-root and that in 6-year-root. The contents of phenolic compounds among samples were not different in stele and branch & fine roots. The contents of phenolic compounds of rusty-roots was higher than that of healthy-roots in cortex, but those of high 겨sty degree lines (HRL) were not different compared with low rusty degree lines (LRL) in cortex using same rusty-degree samples. These suggest that phenolic compounds in cortex tissue were not adequate as a marker to select rusty tolerance ginseng roots. The contents of phenolic compounds of rusty-roots were higher than that of healthy-roots in epidermis, and those of HRL were higher than LRL in epidermis using same rusty-degree samples. These suggested that the contents of phenolic compounds in epidermis tissue might be a potent marker to select rusty tolerance ginseng roots.

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to compare Taebaek(SP3) Sinmun(HT7), Daedon(LR 1) Yongcheon(KI1) on the Blood Pressure in Hypertensive RAT induced by 2K1C. Methods : This experiments was to investigate the effects of Herbal-Acupuncture at Taebaek(SP3) Sinmun(HT7), Daedon(LR1) Yongcheon(KIl) on the Blood Pressure, Cardiomegalic index, plasma levels of renin, plasma levels of atrial natriuretic peptide(ANP), serum levels of potassium, and serum levels of aldosterone in Hypertensive RAT induced by 2KlC. Results : The results were as follows. I. Blood Pressure was decreased significantly after Herbal-Acupuncture of Taebaek(SP3) Sinmun(HT7), Daedon(LR1) Yongcheon(KI1). II. Cardiomegalic index was decreased significantly after Herbal-Acupuncture of Daedon(LRl) Yongcheon(KI1). III. Plasma levels of atrial natriuretic peptide(ANP) was increased significantly after Herbal-Acupuncture of Taebaek(SP3) Sinmun(HT7), Daedon(LRl) Yongcheon(KIl). IV. Plasma levels of renin was decreased significantly after Herbal-Acupuncture of Taebaek(SP3) Sinmun(HT7), Daedon(LRl) Yongcheon(KI1). Conclusion : These results suggest that Blood pressure was decreased significantly after Herbal-Acupuncture of Daedon(LRl) Yongcheon(KI1) in Hypertensive RAT induced by 2K1C.

  • COMS (Communication, Ocean, and Meteorological Satellite) will be launch at end of year 2008. For receiving of COMS LRlT, KARl (Korea Aerospace Research Institute) finished design and software realization of COMS SDUS (Small Data Utilization System). SDUS is a small station receiving LRlT data for distribute satellite image, weather information, and so on. For the future project, KARl preparing COMS MDUS (Mass Data Utilization System) that can receiving large size of data over than 2M BPS (Bit Per Seconds) data size.

  • Purpose: This study was aimed to evaluate the effect of blending oils on atopic dermatitis (AD) model of NC/Nga mice. Methods: Adult NC/Nga mice were assigned to 1 of 3 groups: control group (C, n=8), experimental group [AD-induced group, blending oil-treated group (E=8, 8)]. Mice in the E group were given a treatment of blending oils such as Lavender, Rosemary and Lemon Balm (LRL) for 2 sessions (every day) for 6 days. Results: The AD-induced mice with LRL blending oils treatment showed a significant decrease in epidermal thickness, number of mast cells and degranulation, expression of TNF-${\alpha}$ and scoring of sensual assessment. Conclusion: LRL blending oils may be a putative resource for the cure of or treatment of AD by the diminution of AD-pathological factors such as the epidermal thickness, the number of mast cells and degranulation as well as the expression of TNF-${\alpha}$.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop and show the efficiency of the URL(Unload Request Logic) and LRL(Load Request Logic) of the dispatcher in the Fab(Fabrication) Manufacturing Execution System. These logics are the core procedures which control the material(wafer and glass substrate) flow efficiently in the semiconductor and LCD fab considering inter-bay as well as intra-bay material flow. We use the present and future status information of the system by look-ahead and the information about the future transportation schedule of Automated Guided Vehicles. The simulation results show that the URL and LRL presented in this paper reduce the average lead time, average and maximum WIP level, and the average available AGV waiting time.

Mineral Nutrition Contents of Rusty-Root To1erance Ginseng Lines in 6-Year Old Root (6년생 적변내성 인삼계통의 무기성분함량 특성)

  • Experiments were carried out to select the rusty tolerance lines in 39 inbred lines of ginseng cultivated in field, among them, 7 lines showed low degree of rusty root while 7 lines showed high degree of rusty root. In order to select marker elements among mineral nutrients for rusty ginseng root, we combined 5 groups as follows : Ⅰ (healthy-root of low rusty degree lines vs. rusty-root of high rusty degree lines), II (healthy-root vs. rusty-root in low rusty degree lines), Ⅲ (healthy-root vs. rusty-root in high rusty degree lines), Ⅳ (low rusty degree lines vs. high rusty degree lines in rusty-root), Ⅴ (low rusty degree lines vs. high rusty degree lines in healthy-root), and analyzed mineral nutrition at different root parts. The contents of mineral nutritions in stele and cortex were not different between healthy lines and rusty lines, and between healthy roots and rusty roots, but that in branch and fine roots were not a tendency. The contents of Fe, Na and Al in epidermis were higher in rusty-root than healthy-root. Also, the contents of Fe and Al in epidermis of high rusty degree lines (HRL) were higher than those of low rusty degree lines (LRL) in healthy-roots and rusty-roots, and so we suggest Fe and Al as markers to select low rusty degree ginseng lines.

A Real Time Integrated Dispatching Logic for Semiconductor Material Flow Control Considering Multi-load Automated Material Handling System (반도체 물류 제어 시스템을 위한 반송장비의 다중적재를 고려한 실시간 통합 디스패칭 로직)

  • A semiconductor production system has sophisticated manufacturing operations and needs high capital investment for its expensive equipment, which warrants efficient real-time flow control for wafers. In the bay, we consider material handling equipment that can handle multiple carriers of wafers. The dispatching logic first determines the transportation time of each carrier to its destination by each unit of transportation equipment and uses this information to determine the destination machine and target carrier. When there is no available buffer space at the machine tool, the logic allows carriers to stay at the buffer of a machine tool and determine the delay time, which is used to determine the destination of carriers in URL. A simulation study shows this dispatching logic performs better than the procedure currently in use to reduce the mean flow time and average WIP of wafers and increase efficiency of material handling equipment.

A New Method to Calculate a Shortest Path for a Car-Like Robot (자동차형 로봇의 최단경로 계산을 위한 새로운 방법)

  • Dubins showed that any shortest path of a car-like robot consists of exactly three path segment which are either arcs of circles of radius r(denoted C), or straight line segments(denoted S). Possible six types classified into two families, i.e. CSC and CCC. CSC includes 2 types(LRL and RLR) and CSC includes 4 types(LSL, RSR, LSR, RSL). This paper proposes new formulae for CSC family to find the shortest smooth path between the initial and final configurations of a car-like robot. The formulae is used for finding connection points explicitly between C\longrightarrowS and S\longrightarrowC which are necessary for real applications. The formulae have simple forms mainly because they are transformed into origin of their original coordinates of initial and target configuration, and derived from a standard forms which are a representative configuration of LSL and LSR type respectively. The proposed formulae, which are derived from the standard forms, are simple and new method.

A Study of the Measurement of the Level of Need of Living and of the Levl of Consumer's Life (한국인의 생활욕구도 및 소비생활수준측정에 관한 연구)

  • This study was a succession of the paper of Reference 1), and was an attempt to quantify the Level of Need of Living through the relation bet ween Ds(Degree of Sufficietncy) and Di(Degree of Importance). The relation formula was: Level of Need of Living=Di×(5-Ds)+Di×lrl. From the caculated values, some indicators of highest and lowest Level of Need of Living could be cleared and by them the Level of Consumers' Life and Conciousness could be presumed. The main results are as follows. 1. The Level of Need of Living that the indicators of the equity of income allocations, social mobility, judicial equality, and residential amenity showed was the highest, and that of the life of planned expenditure, the development of transportation, the longevity, an the high level of education was the lowest. 2. The rural residents showed the highest Level of Need on the indicators of medical care, culture and basic living expenditures. 3. The higher the perception of social class and the satisfaction of living was, the lower the Level of Need Living was. 4. In general, it was presumed that the Level of Consumer's Life was in the term of sufficiency of the second need, which durable electric consume products were purchased under the intended conciousness of consumers to be as like as others.
