  • In this paper, we design 75(Takagi-Sugeno) fuzzy controllers for the systems that can be represented by the 75 fuzzy model. We use inverse optimal approach in which the cost function is determined later than the Lyapunov function and its corresponding control input satisfying the design requirements such as stability and decay rate. The obtained design procedure is in the form of solving LMI(Linear Matrix Inequalities), thus very efficient in practice.

  • In this paper, we provide a reliable few controller design method for descriptor systems satisfying asymptotic stability with $H_\infty$ norm bound and all actuator failures occurred within the pre-specified subset. The proper condition for the existence of a reliable $H_\infty$ controller and the controller design method are proposed by linear matrix inequality(LMI), Schur complements, and singular value decomposition. All solutions can be obtained simultaneously because the presented sufficient condition can be expressed as an LMI form.

  • In this paper, based on an augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional(LKF) with time-delay product quadratic terms, the stability result in the form of linear matrix inequality(LMI) is proposed. In getting an LMI result, the free matrix based integral inequality is used. Finally, two well-known numerical examples are given to demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed result.

  • In this paper, we proposed the problems of robust stability and 개bust H$_{\infty}$ control of discrete time-delay linear st.stems with Frobenius norm-bounded uncertainties. The existence condition and the design method of robust H$_{\infty}$ state feedback control]or are given. Through some changes of variables and Schur complement, the obtained sufficient condition can be rewritten as an LMI(linear matrix inequality) form in terms of all variables.

  • This paper is concerned with H$_{\infty}$ controller design methods for descriptor systems with and without time-varying delays in state and control input. The sufficient condition for the existence of an H$_{\infty}$ controller and the controller design method are presented by linear matrix inequality (LMI), singular value decomposition, Schur complements, and changes of variables. Since the obtained sufficient condition can be changed to an LMI form by proper manipulations, all solutions including controller gain can be obtained at the same time. Moreover, it is shown that robust H$_{\infty}$ controller design problem for parameter uncertain descriptor systems with time-varying delays in state and control input can be solvable using the proposed method.

  • This paper presents a state feedback $H^{\infty}$ controller design method for linear systems with delayed states and inputs. We derive a sufficient condition that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable for all time-delays and that the $H^{\infty}$-norm of the closed-loop transfer function is less than or equal to some prescribed level $\gamma$. And we propose a sufficient condition for the existence of a state feedback $H^{\infty}$ controller using a form of linear matrix inequality(LMI). Furthermore, we show that the state feedback $H^{\infty}$ controllers can be obtained from solutions satisfying LMI.

  • Parameters in the internal combustion engines are variable depending on the operating points. Therefore, it is necessary to compensate for the uncertainties. Form this point of view, this paper gives a controller design method and a robust stability condition by LMI approach for engine torque control which satisfies the gives H$\infty$ control performance in the presence of physical parameter perturbations. To the end, the robustness of the system in the presence of perturbation is guaranteed in the all engine operating regions. Its effectiveness is demonstrated by simulation.

  • This paper considers the synthesis of non-fragile $H_{\infty}$ state feedback controllers for singular systems and static state feedback controller with multiplicative uncertainty. The sufficient condition of controller existence, the design method of non-fragile $H_{\infty}$ controller, and the measure of non-fragility in controller are presented via LMI(linear matrix inequality) technique. Also, through singular value decomposition, some changes of variables, and Schur complements, the sufficient condition can be rewritten as LMI form in terms of transformed variables. Therefore, the obtained non-fragile $H_{\infty}$ controller guarantees the asymptotic stability and disturbance attenuation of the closed loop singular systems within a prescribed degree. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the design method.

  • This paper considers a robust output feedback $H\infty$ controller design method for singular systems with time-varying delay in state and parameter uncertainty in system matrix by an LMI approach and observer based technique, which can be solved efficiently by convex optimization. The sufficient condition for the existence of controller and the controller design method are presented by strict LMI(linear matrix inequality) approach. Since the obtained condition can be expressed as an LMI form, all variables including feedback gain and observer gain can be calculated simultaneously by Schur complement and changes of variables.

  • This paper investigates the operation of the $H_{\infty}$ static output-feedback controller to reduce dynamic responses under seismic excitation on the five-story and benchmark 20 story building with parametric uncertainties. Linear matrix inequality (LMI) control theory is applied in this system and then to achieve the desired LMI formulations, some transformations of the LMI variables is used. Conversely uncertainties due to material properties, environmental loads such as earthquake and wind hazards make the uncertain system. This problem and its effects are studied in this research. Also to decrease the transition of large amount of data between sensors and controller, avoiding the disruption of whole control system and economy problems, the operation of the decentralized controllers is investigated in this paper. For this purpose the comparison between the performance of the centralized, fully decentralized and partial decentralized controllers in uncoupled and coupled cases is performed. Also, the effect of the changing the number of stories in substructures is considered. Based on the numerical results, the used control algorithm is very robust against the parametric uncertainties and structural responses are decreased considerably in all the control cases but partial decentralized controller in coupled form gets the closest results to the centralized case. The results indicate the high applicability of the used control algorithm in the tall shear buildings to reduce the structural responses and its robustness against the uncertainties.
