  • In this paper, it is performed the optimal design of the UV LED bar which can be used variously. The UV LED Bar emits ultraviolet rays, so it is important to emit ultraviolet rays constantly for the purpose of use. In order to emit a certain amount of ultraviolet rays as ever, the ultraviolet ray emission should be driven by a constant current source within the operable input voltage range. And also the heat dissipation is particularly important because of the long ultraviolet emission retention time due to the UV utilization characteristics. In addition, since human body protection is essential, the algorithm is configured to operate according to human body detection using distance sensor and Bluetooth. Three 365nm UV LEDs were used in series to emit ultraviolet UVA, operating at the constant current of 500mA with an efficiency of 87.5% and a power consumption of 6.006W. The ultraviolet radiation dose was measured at $5.35mW/cm^2$ at the distance of 10 cm when measured by the Lutron ultraviolet measuring instruments.

  • 우리나라 차량의 수는 매년 증가한다. 한 가구당 2대 이상의 차량을 가지고 있는 경우는 드물지 않다. 이는 도로의 포화를 발생시키고 교통사고의 원인이 된다. 본 연구에서는 안전성을 더욱 증가시키는 것을 전제로 아두이노를 이용한 초음파 센서와 라즈베리를 통한 블루투스 기술을 통해 LED 패널에 적용하고자 한다. 현재 많은 차량에는 후방 감지 센서와 차량 후방에서 다가오는 차량을 감지하는 센서 등을 사용하고 있다. 이 기술들은 운전자를 보호하는 장치이지만 모두 개인적으로 사용되는 장치이므로 다른 운전자를 보호하기 위한 장치가 필요하다. 또한, 이러한 시스템이 설치되어 있지 않은 차량이 많다. 추가로 설치하기 위해서 보다 큰 비용을 내야 하므로 적은 비용에 비해 큰 효율을 발생할 수 있는 가성비 좋은 장치가 필요하다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제점들을 개선하기 위해 버스에 장착된 LED 패널과 도로정비 차량 후방에 장착된 LED 패널에서 아이디어에 착안하여 '차량용 후방 안전 LED 패널' 기술을 제안한다. 기존에 글자를 이용해 단순히 의사소통이 가능한 LED 패널을 아두이노와 라즈베리 파이를 통해 사용자가 출력하고 싶은 문구를 실시간으로 출력하여 다른 운전자에게 정보를 전달할 수 있다.

A Study on the Design and Implementation of Fine Dust Measurement LED Using Drone

  • Researchers recognized air pollution changes causing diseases and difficulties in living due to environmental pollution following various human activities, and have studied how to avoid fine dust harmful to the human respiratory system to be healthy. To this end, Arduino is used to equip fine dust level sensors in drones to measure the fine dust levels, visualize the measurements with LED indicator colors depending on the measurements to inform users of the danger of fine dust, and use the benefits of drones to specify dangerous fine dust zones and measure the fine dust levels. Users can see the changes depending on the fine dust levels in real time with the LED indicators. This will contributes to measuring fine dust levels easily in dangerous areas. Mission Planner (ArduPilot) is used to set up the GPS of drone, and store the data from the dust sensor as contents. This study aims to establish a method for improving the environment to measure fine dust levels with drones with LED indicators for fine dust, and reduce fine dust.

  • This paper focuses on the Current-Voltage concurrent control method devoted to the multiple LED (light-emitting diode) string driver. Isolated DC to DC converter with cascaded chopping switch is proposed for smart lighting system such as light with sensor or back light unit of display, which need to control the current of parallel connected multiple LED stings and regulate DC voltage for micro controller for brightness control. The proposed circuit regulates the current of parallel connected multiple LED strings and additional DC voltage output simultaneously. To verify the performance, experimental results are presented based on the prototype board. 5V, 1A voltage mode electric load and two LED strings with different forward voltages are used for output loads. 23W output power is achieved and measured efficiency is in the range of 85%-87%

  • A method obtaining position data(x, y) of object accurately is proposed by using a pair of ultrasonic sensors composed of one transmitter and two receivers. And the driving system which controls the light of flat LED lamp locally using array of ultrasonic sensors (3 transmitters and 6 receivers) is developed. As a result, measured values of y are relatively reliable due to its small average of absolute errors of 1.03[cm]. The measured values of x have average error of 8.52[cm], and it is a large value. However, the average error is decreased by 0.65[cm] after applying algorithm for error correction. The experiments to control the light of flat LED lamp locally with algorithm for error correction are carried out. From the result, measured values of x with average error of 0.97[cm] are obtained and they are very good approximations of actual values.

  • This paper describes an implementation of a wide-range dimming controller of a LED backlight for Avionics applications such as a control display unit(CDU) and multi-function display(MFD). The digital dimming controller employing a current controlled buck converter and light sensor feedback is proposed. The proposed system provides a wide dimming control range of from 150fL to 0.05fL(3000:1) required for avionic displays. The experimental results are provided to show the control performance.

Solar Tracking Performance using a Heliostat and Uniform Irradiation of LED Light for a Plant Factory (식물공장의 헬리오스탯을 이용한 태양광 추적성능 및 LED 균일광 조사)

  • This paper deals with the solar tracking performance using a small heliostat, the light reduction rate of the sun light, and the performance of uniform irradiation of LED light for a plant factory. A high precision encoder is attached to the heliostat to improve tracking accuracy. As a result, our heliostat-based solar tracking systems track efficiently the movement of the sun light in experimental tests. The reduction rate of the sun light in the plant factory is then measured by using an illumination sensor. The average reduction rate is 4.29%, which represents lower light reduction rates. In uniform irradiation tests of LED light, sixteen points are measured, and overall deviations of irradiation were within eight percents.

The Study of Fire Detector Circuit with Wireless Communication (무선통신기능을 갖는 화재감지기 회로에 대한 연구)

  • For the development of fire detector equipments that was fused independent type of fire detector and a wireless communication function, this paper adopted a signal processing method of an independent formation fire sensor by a ZigBee communication method, and it was designed that the combinations of fire detector and wireless communications network were enabled. When a fire occurred, output voltage of a fire detector was 0.4 V, the movement pulse width was $600{\mu}s$, and that was confirmed by an experiment. When it has lookout state, LED worked by 30 s cycle and working current is 0.12 mA. When a fire occurred, LED worked by 0.5 s cycle and working current was 7 mA, and through this experiment of power source, Chamber tester, smoke tester,IRED, LED lighting, the propriety of the method that we showed in this paper confirmed.

  • This paper presents a new non-contact 3D robotic inspection system to measure the precise positions of screw and punch holes on a car body frame. The newly developed sensor consists of a CCD camera, two laser line generators and LED light. This lightweight sensor can be mounted on an industrial robot hand. An inspection algorithm and system that work with this sensor is presented. In performance evaluation tests, the measurement accuracy of this inspection system was about 200 ${\mu}m$, which is a sufficient accuracy in the automotive industry.

  • In this paper we will deal with a calibration method for low cost motion capture system using psd(position sensitive detection) optical sensor. To measure the incident direction of the light from LED emitted marker, the PSD is used the output current ratio on the electrode of PSD is proportional with the incident position of the light focused by lens. In order to defect the direction of the light, the current output is converted into digital voltage value by opamp circuits peak detector and AD converter with the digital value the incident position is measured. Unfortunately, due to the non-linearly problem of the circuit poor position accuracy is shown. To overcome such problems, we compensated the non-linearly by using least-square fitting method. After compensated the non-linearly in the circuit, the system showed more enhanced position accuracy.
