  • This study is a sustainability study of K-Music beyond K-Pop through New Media. New media literally means 'new media'. When TV, classified as legacy media, first appeared in the world, it was an innovative new media platform. Of course, it is considered the most traditional legacy media. However, the definition of new media inevitably changes with the times. Most of the media called new media today are based on online and mobile. This thesis focuses on popular music including crossover traditional music genre. And we define popular music exported abroad as K-pop, and propose the possibility of globalization of Korean music using K-pop users and new media, a metaverse based K-pop audition platform, as consumers and suppliers in the global market. Hallyu, the studying of K-Pop through the study of attitudes and economic effects of K-pop, such as reactions to the spread of K-pop and the reactions of fans who like K-pop, are constantly being discussed in various ways. But there has been no case of cultural technology research that linked the sustainability of Gugak as the Korean music through new media to the K-pop business platform. As the overflowing data pours out in the virtual space as an act that gives the meaning of existence, the online is able to become an open market that provides reliable information all over the world. Therefore we would like to propose on the sustainability of Korean music through the 'Korean Traditional Music Broadcasting Metaverse Audition' beyond the K-pop business model as the K-Music content in the cultural technology era.

The purpose of this study is to develop the Scale for Screening the Qualified Teachers for the Gifted in Korean traditional and western Music(SSQTGM), and to examine the validity and reliability of the SSQTGM. To achieve this purpose, this study administered the SSQTGM to 175 teachers of gifted students aged between 13 and 15 in middle schools for the arts. To validate the SSQTGM, I analyzed the criteria of the SSQTGM, and conducted an exploratory and confirmative factor analysis. I also examined an internal consistency. As a result of the exploratory factor analysis, I finally collected 41 items of the SSQTGM. Futhermore, I could identify psychological constructs of the qualified teachers for the gifted in Korean traditional and western music. In consequence of the confirmative factor analysis, the model provided a good fit to observe data. As a result of the reliability analysis, the internal consistency of knowledge in the music(korean traditional music) verified cronbach's ${\alpha}=.937$, and the expertise of the class management and instruction verified cronbach's ${\alpha}=.942$. Also, the teachers' aptitude and personality verified cronbach's ${\alpha}=.963$. This result of the construct validation reflects the fact that the SSQTGM is an available scale that can be applied in gifted education field instantly.

  • Many Korean traditional music such as Jongmyo Jeryeak and Pansori are listed as UNESCO World Intangible Cultural Heritage and are recognized for their value. However, compared to other genres, Korean traditional music shows various problems such as low proportion of paying audiences and bias of audience age. Previous studies in the performing arts point out that in order to solve these problems, it is necessary to analyze consumers. Existing previous studies on the Korean traditional music performance remained mainly to grasp the influence of performance quality of service on viewing satisfaction at the one-dimensional level. However, in order to meet consumer expectations, not only the satisfaction factor but also the reasons why performing art consumers do not consume performances. In addition, it is important to identify the factors that can cause service failure before the performance, to prepare countermeasures and to manage them continuously. In this study, the Kano-Timko model was used to classify the quality factors of Korean traditional music performances, and to identify the priority points of service failures of Korean traditional music performances through the potential customer satisfaction index. Through the results of this study, Korean traditional performing organizations and organizations will be able to prepare proactive countermeasures for service failures occurring in Korean traditional music performances and establish effective operational strategies to derive customer satisfaction. In addition, it is important to apply the concept of service failure in order to classify the performance quality of service that was identified only in a one-dimensional manner based on Kano model.
