Design and Implementation of Digital Photo Kiosk System with Auto Color Correction Module (자동 컬러 보정 모듈을 가진 디지털 포토 키오스크 시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • This paper introduces design and implementation of digital photo kiosk system, digital photo printing system, with auto color correction module that considers gamut between touch screen and output device, digital photo printer, to provide user-preferred media. This module performs media correction function to service high quality contents for image captured by digital camera and mobile phone camera. Since it is implemented as LUT for real-time processing, the system offers one-touch interface to user. As a result of implementation, this kiosk system provides user-favorite photo because of black and white mode, sepia mode, and brightness and contrast adjustment. Also it can gives smooth tone transition and photos of similar color to captured image due to auto color correction module.

  • The transition into a digital society has been accelerated in many aspects of our everyday social activities, and thereby, the unmanned order and payment system via kiosk has already has been seen commonly throughout the social community. Yet, the majority of the mid-to-elderly population have been experiencing difficulties utilizing this newly emerged unmanned system, resulting in the emergence of digital alienation among those age groups. In regard to this phenomenon, this study is intended to explore ways to improve the digital divide concerning the issues related to the unmanned order payment kiosks. In this process, the study involved close examination of various research perspectives on improving the digital divide and proceeded with the focus on both empirical and literature research on providing education on kiosk utilization. In addition, the study identified the limitations to the current kiosk education and proposed improved kiosk-education software UX that may help curtail the limitations. Through this, one was able to identify areas in which the efficacy of the education applied in kiosk usage and derived new measures that could improve the system. One anticipates having the results of this study put to use as research materials on educational service development to expand the opportunities of kiosk education for those mid-to-elderly age groups who experience a day-to-day digital alienation.

  • This paper proposes an interface improvement design to improve accessibility of kiosks introduced in various fields in Korea. Kiosks are unmanned systems using touch-type screens and are particularly specialized in the field of dining out. However, due to the lack of intuition of kiosks, more and more people are giving up using kiosks. To solve this problem, the purpose of this is to increase the convenience of those who avoid using existing kiosks by increasing intuition and learning of use at the interface stage, and to increase the accessibility of kiosks through this.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the information display at Yong In University through the use of field observations and surveys to improve the facility that adheres to the user's comfort and accessibility. The study has found that the arrangement of importance of subjects that are more relevant to the intended audience and the placement of the information kiosk at places where people would stay for longer durations have higher chances of absorbing the information provided in the kiosk. Though the study has been investigated in a limited setting of Yong In University, the broader implications of this study can be extend to public spaces that also provide information kiosks.

  • Recently, the number of unmanned stores is increasing due to COVID-19. In unmanned stores, payments are mainly made using kiosks, but some people with physical disabilities or people with disabilities who use wheelchairs are not easy to use it. Also, young children and the elderly are also having difficulty using new technologies such as kiosks as they get older. In this study, in order to compensate for these problems, we intend to design and implement a system capable of performing order by a speech recognition function as well as a visual system when a user interacts with a kiosk.

  • Last few years have seen a rapid increase in research on ubiquitous computing. Ubiquitous computing is often touted as a technology that will make computing available to the user anywhere and anytime. One important problem to be addressed in building such a ubiquitous computing environment is how to manage services and deliver them to the user in an effective manner. This paper presents our model called Personal Kiosk(PK) as a way of solving the problem. PK is a model of ubiquitous service provisioning that enables the user to use desired services anytime and anywhere. The design and implementation of the current PK in the 'Local Area' setting with related technical issues are also presented. A location-sensing technique for indoor users and a personalized service provisioning based on user location and privileges are discussed in detail.

We make up the course of study which is able to access and learn easily, and propagate the importance of culture heritage.   • 현대 사회에서 사람과 사람이 아닌 기계와 사람 간의 거래가 대중화 되고 있다. 무인 거래 시스템(이하 키오스크) 사용이 지속적으로 증가하는 이유는 높은 인건비의 절감, 편리성, 시간 단축으로 볼 수 있다. 반면, 키오스크 사용은 다음과 같은 단점이 있다. 메뉴 선택에 있어서 주위 사람들에 의해 심리적 불안감이 생겨 충분한 시간을 가지지 못하고 메뉴를 선택하여 원치 않은 주문이 발생 할 수 있는 것이다. 이 논문에서는 키오스크로 메뉴 선택에 있어서 심리적 불안을 가지는 사람 및 키오스크 사용에 불편함을 가진 사람들이 효율적으로 접근할 수 있는 시스템을 제안한다. 이를 통해 해당 매장에서는 다른 고객들의 눈치를 보지 않고 충분한 시간적 여유를 가지고 메뉴를 선택하여 편리하게 사용 할 수 있는 장점이 있다.

  • This study analyzed the degree of influence of measurement and improvement of customer satisfaction level targeting kiosk users. In modern times, due to the development of technology and the improvement of the online environment, the probability that simple labor tasks will disappear after 10 years is close to 90%. Even in domestic research, it is predicted that 'simple labor jobs' will disappear due to the influence of advanced technology with a probability of about 36%. there is. In particular, as the demand for non-face-to-face services increases due to the Corona 19 virus, which is recently spreading globally, the trend of introducing kiosks has accelerated, and the global market will grow to 83.5 billion won in 2021, showing an average annual growth rate of 8.9%. there is. However, due to the unmanned nature of these kiosks, some consumers still have difficulties in using them, and consumers who are not familiar with the use of these technologies have a negative attitude towards service co-producers due to rejection of non-face-to-face services and anxiety about service errors. Lack of understanding leads to role conflicts between sales clerks and consumers, or inequality is being created in terms of service provision and generations accustomed to using technology. In addition, since kiosk is a representative technology-based self-service industry, if the user feels uncomfortable or requires additional labor, the overall service value decreases and the growth of the kiosk industry itself can be suppressed. Therefore, interviews were conducted on the main points of direct use with actual users centered on display color scheme, text size, device design, device size, internal UI (interface), amount of information, recognition sensor (barcode, NFC, etc.), Display brightness, self-event, and reaction speed items were extracted. Afterwards, using the questionnaire, the Kano model quality attribute classification of each expected evaluation item was carried out, and Timko's customer satisfaction coefficient, which can be calculated with accurate numerical values The PCSI Index analysis was additionally performed to determine the improvement priorities by finally classifying the improvement impact of the kiosk expected evaluation items through research. As a result, the impact of improvement appears in the order of internal UI (interface), text size, recognition sensor (barcode, NFC, etc.), reaction speed, self-event, display brightness, amount of information, device size, device design, and display color scheme. Through this, we intend to contribute to a comprehensive comparison of kiosk-based research in each field and to set the direction for improvement in the venture industry.
