Due to the importance of SCM(Supply Chain management) in business logistics. many studies related to the SCM performance measurement have been conducted. However, previous SCM performance measurement models have not reflected both ways, operational efficiency and response for market shift. The aim of this research is to suggest a dynamic model to measure SCM performance both with operational efficiency and response for market shift, based on previous SCOR model. To achieve this aim, we developed a cognitive map-based model described eleven KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) with different weight values. And, to measure response level for market shift, we used the concept of entropy-elasticities. Finally, through some actual cases, merits that have no previous models were shown.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are the criteria of measuring project performance in order to attain construction excellence. Previous researchers have examined the abstract concept of success for general new construction and identified its relationship with the factors of success. In fact, most buildings exist to satisfy the needs of people. With the passing of time and change in technology, buildings have to be maintained and renovated in order to continue functioning properly for the benefits of users. Therefore, criteria and factors of success have increasingly attracted the attention of both researchers and practitioners, especially in cities where buildings become ageing. However, the topic of project success for maintenance projects is less discussed in previous research, and project participants, including maintenance surveyors should be able to identify the success measurement and its associated factors for performance improvement. This study fills the research gap by investigating the criteria and factors of success for maintenance projects. It first provides a summary of the literature review on the criteria and factors of success for construction projects. An empirical study has also been carried out with ten practitioners in Hong Kong to further identify the criteria and factors critical for the success of maintenance projects in practice. While most criteria and factors of success for new construction projects are also applicable to maintenance projects, participants in maintenance projects believe that effective communication is in particular important to provide quality service to the end-users.

This paper presents a framework for quantitative software development performance measurement and analysis based on characteristics of software in System on Chip (SoC) industry, one of the semiconductor businesses. In this paper, we propose a measurement model based on not only theoretical model (Performance Pyramid) but also characteristics of SoC embedded software. Quantitative software development performance measurement is not just collecting indicators but analyzing quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) of collected indicators. Externally, it is possible for programmers to develop software meeting customers' needs. Internally, more efficient software development can be possible through the visible productivity increase. Using the proposed framework, the paper quantitatively measures embedded software development performance.

Strategy monitoring is essential for business management and for administrators, including managers and executives, to build a data-driven organization. Having a tool that is able to visualize strategic data is significant for business intelligence. Unfortunately, there are gaps between business users and information technology departments or business intelligence experts that need to be filled to meet user requirements. For example, business users want to be self-reliant when using business intelligence systems, but they are too inexperienced to deal with the technical difficulties of the business intelligence systems. This research aims to create an automatic matching framework between the key performance indicators (KPI) formula and the data in database systems, based on ontology concepts, in the case study of Prince of Songkla University. The mapping data schema with ontology (MapDSOnto) framework is created through knowledge adaptation from the literature review and is evaluated using sample data from the case study. String similarity methods are compared to find the best fit for this framework. The research results reveal that the "fuzz.token_set_ratio" method is suitable for this study, with a 91.50 similarity score. The two main algorithms, database schema mapping and domain schema mapping, present the process of the MapDS-Onto framework using the "fuzz.token_set_ratio" method and database structure ontology to match the correct data of each factor in the KPI formula. The MapDS-Onto framework contributes to increasing self-reliance by reducing the amount of database knowledge that business users need to use semantic business intelligence.

We look at the initial stage of Meta (previous Facebook)'s new metaverse platform and investigate its platform design in pre-launch and ignition life stage. From the Rocket Model (RM)'s theoretical logic, the results reveal that Meta firstly focuses on investing in key content developers by acquiring virtual reality (VR), video, music content firms and offering production support platform of the augmented reality (AR) content, 'Spark AR' last three years (2019~2021) for attracting high-potential developers and users. In terms of three matching criteria, Meta develops an Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered translation software, partners with Microsoft (MS) for cloud computing and AI, and develops an AI platform for realistic avatar, MyoSuite. In 'connect' function, Meta curates the game concept submitted by game developers, welcomes other game and SNS based metaverse apps, and expands Horizon Worlds (HW) on VR devices to PCs and mobile devices. In 'transact' function, Meta offers 'HW Creator Funding' program for metaverse, launches the first commercialized Meta Avatar Store on Meta's conventional SNS and Messaging apps by inviting all fashion creators to design and sell clothing in this store. Mata also launches an initial test of non-fungible token (NFT) display on Instagram and expands it to Facebook in the US. Lastly, regarding optimization, especially in the face of recent data privacy issues that have adversely affected corporate key performance indicators (KPIs), Meta assures not to collect any new data and to make its privacy policy easier to understand and update its terms of service more user friendly.
The objective of this paper is to find out the factors for the performance of the Hospital Customer Relationship Management (HCRM) system. Furthermore, the relationships between these factors have been analyzed. In order to analyze the performance of the HCRM system, factor analysis with several Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) was conducted. And also multiple regression analysis and Chi-square test were executed. In this study, several hypotheses were derived to analyze the relationships between factors of performance of HCRM system. These hypotheses were tested by using the Structural Equation Model (SEM). As the result of this study, we discovered the HCRM-Infrastructure has positive effects on the HCRM-Performance. And the HCRM-Performance has also positive influences on the hospital management performance. On the basis of the research result, we proposed some suggestions and guidelines for the successful implementation and improvement of HCRM system.

Recently, novel candidate waveform techniques for spectral efficiency improvement was proposed in order to satisfy key performance indicators(KPIs) of 5th generation(5G) mobile communication. Multi-carrier based universal filtered multi-carrier(UFMC) and filter bank multi-carrier(FBMC) are very famous as 5G candidate waveform techniques. Also, weighted orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (W-OFDM) that has low-complexity is receiving the spotlight slowly. In this paper, firstly, we describe a basic OFDM system. And then, we also describe UFMC, FBMC, and W-OFDM system. Next, we evaluate and analyze spectrum and BER performance of these systems under the nonlinear high power amplifier(HPA) environment. As simulation results, spectrum characteristic and BER performance of UFMC, FBMC, and W-OFDM are similar to each other. Therefore, under the nonlinear HPA environment, W-OFDM system is more advantageous because W-OFDM system uses a simple time-domain windowing technique and has similar characteristics to the others.

The purpose of this study is to provide a practical guide for establishing BSC that can be practically applied by SMEs. To this end, a case study was conducted to establish a performance evaluation system through a field-required Balanced Scorecard (BSC) for company J, a tent pole manufacturer, and to provide a management strategy system map. As a survey method, the requirements of the ordering organization were organized through a comparison of the BSC-related proposal requests in the first stage. The BSC establishment method was organized through the arrangement of the second stage result report. The 3rd stage BSC derived KPI indicators for SMEs for each of the 4 perspectives. A corporate vision was derived through a 4-step SWOT analysis. A strategy map was developed through 5-step field-required KPI, weight setting, and BSC. The 6-step final strategy system was also drawn up. As a result of the study, the four perspectives of the BSC were reconstructed by department. That is, the financial (financial) perspective is from the executives' perspective, the customer's perspective is from the sales department's perspective, the internal process perspective is from the design department/production quality department's perspective, and the learning/innovation perspective is from the management department's perspective. In addition, a total of 11 CSFs and a total of 49 KPIs of J company were derived. The limitation of the study is that the final strategy system through the company's BSC has only been carried out, and it needs to be linked with the company's compensation system in the future.
Measuring Information Technology(IT) organizations' activities have been limited to mainly measure financial indicators for a long time. However, according to the multifarious functions of Information System, a number of researches have been done for the new trends on measurement methodologies that come with financial measurement as well as new measurement methods. Especially, the researches on IT Balanced Scorecard(BSC), concept from BSC measuring IT activities have been done as well in recent years. BSC provides more advantages than only integration of non-financial measures in a performance measurement system. The core of BSC rests on the cause-and-effect relationships between measures to allow prediction of value chain performance measures to allow prediction of value chain performance measures, communication, and realization of the corporate strategy and incentive controlled actions. More recently, BSC proponents have focused on the need to tie measures together into a causal chain of performance, and to test the validity of these hypothesized effects to guide the development of strategy. Kaplan and Norton[2001] argue that one of the primary benefits of the balanced scorecard is its use in gauging the success of strategy. Norreklit[2000] insist that the cause-and-effect chain is central to the balanced scorecard. The cause-and-effect chain is also central to the IT BSC. However, prior researches on relationship between information system and enterprise strategies as well as connection between various IT performance measurement indicators are not so much studied. Ittner et al.[2003] report that 77% of all surveyed companies with an implemented BSC place no or only little interest on soundly modeled cause-and-effect relationships despite of the importance of cause-and-effect chains as an integral part of BSC. This shortcoming can be explained with one theoretical and one practical reason[Blumenberg and Hinz, 2006]. From a theoretical point of view, causalities within the BSC method and their application are only vaguely described by Kaplan and Norton. From a practical consideration, modeling corporate causalities is a complex task due to tedious data acquisition and following reliability maintenance. However, cause-and effect relationships are an essential part of BSCs because they differentiate performance measurement systems like BSCs from simple key performance indicator(KPI) lists. KPI lists present an ad-hoc collection of measures to managers but do not allow for a comprehensive view on corporate performance. Instead, performance measurement system like BSCs tries to model the relationships of the underlying value chain in cause-and-effect relationships. Therefore, to overcome the deficiencies of causal modeling in IT BSC, sound and robust causal modeling approaches are required in theory as well as in practice for offering a solution. The propose of this study is to suggest critical success factors(CSFs) and KPIs for measuring performance for IT organizations and empirically validate the casual relationships between those CSFs. For this purpose, we define four perspectives of BSC for IT organizations according to Van Grembergen's study[2000] as follows. The Future Orientation perspective represents the human and technology resources needed by IT to deliver its services. The Operational Excellence perspective represents the IT processes employed to develop and deliver the applications. The User Orientation perspective represents the user evaluation of IT. The Business Contribution perspective captures the business value of the IT investments. Each of these perspectives has to be translated into corresponding metrics and measures that assess the current situations. This study suggests 12 CSFs for IT BSC based on the previous IT BSC's studies and COBIT 4.1. These CSFs consist of 51 KPIs. We defines the cause-and-effect relationships among BSC CSFs for IT Organizations as follows. The Future Orientation perspective will have positive effects on the Operational Excellence perspective. Then the Operational Excellence perspective will have positive effects on the User Orientation perspective. Finally, the User Orientation perspective will have positive effects on the Business Contribution perspective. This research tests the validity of these hypothesized casual effects and the sub-hypothesized causal relationships. For the purpose, we used the Partial Least Squares approach to Structural Equation Modeling(or PLS Path Modeling) for analyzing multiple IT BSC CSFs. The PLS path modeling has special abilities that make it more appropriate than other techniques, such as multiple regression and LISREL, when analyzing small sample sizes. Recently the use of PLS path modeling has been gaining interests and use among IS researchers in recent years because of its ability to model latent constructs under conditions of nonormality and with small to medium sample sizes(Chin et al., 2003). The empirical results of our study using PLS path modeling show that the casual effects in IT BSC significantly exist partially in our hypotheses.
This study is to review the main concepts of BSC(Balance Scorecard) and compare the BSCs applied in the private and the public sectors. This comparison suggests a few important aspects that must be attended when BSC is put to use in the public organization. First, the BSC used in the public sector must put the top priority to customer perspective over financial one. The primary mission of a public organization must be the "better service" for the people. Secondly, each of BSC's four main perspectives should be modified and re prioritized according to the goals and objectives of the public organization. Finally, CSFs(Critical Success Factors) and KPIs(Key Performance Indicators) must be integrated into the framework of BSC which also incorporates already existing performance management systems. This case study shows how the redundant and unrelated performance management systems(evaluation management, government task evaluation, job performance appraisal, and customer satisfaction evaluation) are merged into the BSC performance management system in the public organization.
