Corporate Brand Management of SK

  • SK group has been a pioneer in overall brand management and, more recently, in CSR-imbedded brand management. SK vision of "improving itself to give greater happiness to all of its customers" and the symbol mark of "Wings of Happiness" are some good examples of integrating distinct brand identities of various member companies. After impressive growth and expansions into diverse business areas, SK group is ranked as the third largest company based on asset amounts according to the Fair Trade Commission of Korea, only after Samsung and Hyundai Motor groups. SK brand management can be analyzed, using the framework of 4 stages - 'infrastructure', 'planning', 'doing', and 'seeing' stages. In order to secure 'infrastructure' of brand management system, SK has invested huge resources to the 'SK BMS' (SK Brand Management System). At the 'planning' stage, the most important task of SK like other Korean business groups is perhaps to adopt a well-organized 'brand identity (BI) system' which may consolidate brand values of individual member companies. In actuality, SK BI consists of Customer Happiness located at the center and 3 other elements of Pride, Professionalism, and Customer-orientation. At the 'doing' stage, the slogan of 'OK! SK' and the logo of 'Wings of Happiness' have been placed at the core of the SK group brand building programs. SK adopts the principle of 'independent yet united', pinpointing that each member company independently works for its business performance but it is, at the same time, encouraged to integrate its capabilities for the SK group brand. In addition, SK has sought 'shared growth' with business partners for happiness for all the members in the society. 'Social Contribution Philosophy' based on SK value of 'creation of greater happiness' is again one of the most important guidelines for CSR (corporate social responsibility) at the doing stage. At the seeing stage, SK regularly evaluates its branding programs. SK has shown some very impressive achievements in brand management: (1) a core identity of 'Customer Happiness' participating member companies may share, (2) harmonious relationships between the group brand management office and brand management divisions of member companies, and (3) consistency-keeping in brand management over time. However, there remain two major challenges: (1) globalization of SK and (2) reinforcing sustainable superiority over not only Korean rivals but also global ones.

  • 국내 건설사업은 잘못된 관행, 졸속한 사업추진, 사전조사의 미흡 등으로 인하여 불필요한 사업을 추진하거나 잦은 설계변경을 함으로써 예산 낭비를 초래해 왔다. 1999년 건교부에서 '원가절감을 위한 공공건설효율화종합대책'을 발표한 이후 많은 정책적인 노력이 있었음에도 결구하고 사업비에 크게 영향을 미치는 시공 전 단계의 사업비관리 부문은 여전히 취약하다는 지적이다. 발주자 측면에서 적정공사비를 반영한 사업비가 산정되지 않고 건설사업이 단계별로 추진되는 과정에서 이를 고수하기 위한 관리도 수행되지 못하고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 선진 사업비관리 체계에 대해 조사하여 시사점을 도출하고, 국내의 실제 프로젝트 및 관련 제도에 있어 시공 전 단계 사업비관리의 문제점 및 현황을 사업비관리(Cost Management)의 관점에서 분석하여, 국내 사업비관리의 개선방안에 대해 제안하고자 한다.

당뇨교육이 당뇨환자의 식사요법에 대한 지식과 실천 및 혈당에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Diabetes Education on Diabetic Management in Non-Insulin-Dependent Diabetics Mellitus Patients)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of diabetes education on diabetic management by determining the changes of the knowledge and practice for diet therapy and blood glucose level pre-training and post-training. Statistical data analyses were completed using the SPSS 11.0 program. The results can be summarized as follows : The average age of the subjects was 52.8 years old, the period of suffering from diabetes was 7.9 years and 31% of the patients had a history of diabetes in their family members. In life style for self-management, they showed lower levels in drinking post-training, and significantly higher exercise levels post-training (P<0.05). Regarding the level of knowledge for diet, they showed significantly higher levels post-training in eight items such as importance of diet therapy for diabetes (p<0.005), principle of diet therapy (p<0.005), nutrient composition of foods (p<0.005), carbohydrate composition of foods (p<0.005), calorie prescribed to themselves (p<0.001), exchange units prescribed to themselves (p<0.005), exchange food items and exchanges units of cereal & grains (p<0.005) and exchange food items and exchanges units of fruit & juices (p<0.005). Regarding the practices of diet, they showed significantly higher levels of practice in keeping permitted meal size (p<0.005), using food exchange list (p<0.005), keeping exact meal times (p<0.001) and restricting most foods to eat (P<0.01) post-training. When measuring their bodies, average weight was lower post-training. Obesity was significantly lower post-training (p<0.01), and blood pressure both in systolic and diastolic was lower. Postcardinal-2hour blood glucose level decreased significantly from 268.4$\pm$98.9 pre-training to 180.9$\pm$48.4 post-training (p<0.001).

  • 송이산의 관리는 송이 균환의 환경관리를 의미한다. 따라서, 송이산의 관리는 송이 균환부를 건강하게 유지시키는 방법에 대한 집중적인 연구를 요구하며, 아울러, 균환부 생태계 내의 실질적인 활성을 평가하는 연구가 요구된다. 본 연구는 송이 균환부를 송이균의 통과 여부에 따라 균환 통과부, 균환부, 균환 예정지의 3개 지역으로 구분하여 토양의 이화학적 특성과 탈수소효소 활성에 차이가 있는지 조사, 고찰한 것이다. 송이 균환의 발달에 따라 토양내 양이온의 함량은 뚜렷한 변화가 없었지만, 유효인산이나 탄소, 질소의 함량은 균환부와 균환 예정지 사이에 차이가 인정되었다. 또한, 송이 균환부 탈수소효소의 활성도는 일반 성숙토양에 비하여 훨씬 낮아 송이 균환부는 성숙도가 낮으며 유가물이 적은 토양에 발달됨을 알 수 있었다. 따라서, 송이산의 관리가 실질적으로는 송이 균환의 관리라는 것을 감안할 때, 송이산 관리의 기준으로 탈수소효소를 지표로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 특히, 낙엽긁기의 처리를 위해서 유기물 분해도의 지표인 탈수소효소의 활성도 측정법을 활용하도록 추천할 수 있을 것이다.

  • 90년대 이후 전 세계적으로 지식경영(Knowledge Management : KM)에 대한 관심이 고조되고 있다. 특히 기업의 시장가치 중 지식자산이 차지하는 비중이 높아짐에 따라 한국의 건설 분야도 90년대 중반부터 대기업을 중심으론 지식경영을 도입하고 있다. 그러나, 중소${\cdot}$전문건설업체의 경우에는 기업의 재무 및 조직적인 이유로 지식경영에 대한 이해와 정보화에 뒤쳐지고 있는 실정이다. 더욱이, 건설 분야에서 중소${\cdot}$전문건설업체가 차지하는 비중이 매우 높게 나타나기 때문에 이들의 기술 수준이 건설공사의 품질과 직결된다고 해도 과언이 아니다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 회사의 가치와 경쟁력 향상을 위해서 중소${\cdot}$전문건설업체들의 여건에 적합한 지식경영 전략 즉, 지식경영 도입 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

UbiFOS: A Small Real-Time Operating System for Embedded Systems

  • The ubiquitous flexible operating system (UbiFOS) is a real-time operating system designed for cost-conscious, low-power, small to medium-sized embedded systems such as cellular phones, MP3 players, and wearable computers. It offers efficient real-time operating system services like multi-task scheduling, memory management, inter-task communication and synchronization, and timers while keeping the kernel size to just a few to tens of kilobytes. For flexibility, UbiFOS uses various task scheduling policies such as cyclic time-slice (round-robin), priority-based preemption with round-robin, priority-based preemptive, and bitmap. When there are less than 64 tasks, bitmap scheduling is the best policy. The scheduling overhead is under 9 ${\mu}s$ on the ARM926EJ processor. UbiFOS also provides the flexibility for user to select from several inter-task communication techniques according to their applications. We ported UbiFOS on the ARM9-based DVD player (20 kB), the Calm16-based MP3 player (under 7 kB), and the ATmega128-based ubiquitous sensor node (under 6 kB). Also, we adopted the dynamic power management (DPM) scheme. Comparative experimental results show that UbiFOS could save energy up to 30% using DPM.

  • 일선 교육 현장에 ICT의 본격적 활용과 함께 교육 방법 및 평가에서 많은 발전과 변화가 일어나고 있다. 그러나 교육 평가에 있어서 현장 교사들이 실제적 효율성을 느끼기에는 부족한 실정이다. 특히 평가 결과를 교육에 활용하는 데는 미비한 실정이다. 이의 원인은 계속되는 평가 결과를 유지시키지 못하는 경우도 많으며, 그 결과를 아동의 지속적인 학습활동에 반영시키지 못하기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 형태의 문항을 쉽게 관리할 수 있으며, 문제의 유형에 적합한 정형화된 폼을 제시하여 교사들이 문제를 간단하고 편리하게 제작하고, 평가 내용을 다양한 관점에서 확인할 수 있는 효율적인 문항 관리 시스템을 개발한다.

  • While the environment of usage of information and technology is getting stable and technology is being developed more deeply due to the globalization, making information, standardization, in order to make a fast response to the new industry strategy and business environment, mutual communication and management of correct and fast information are focused on as fundamental elements of keeping competitive power. Accordingly strategic development of urban transit operation organization, storage of information technology of urban railroad, and buildup of standard information infra are very important, so that computerized information system has been built up standardizing efficient maintenance framework of urban transit facilities. To maintain these facilities efficiently, storing the real-time information by standardizing the maintenance organization and building up computerized information system are very important with management of information history of existing maintenance work. Therefore, for the efficient maintenance of civil facilities among urban transit facilities, standardized facilities classification and definition of management elements, and the plan of designing and building standardized database about civil facilities through standardizing technology resources are described in this paper.
