Kangwondo has been focused on tourism resource cultivation using beautiful scenery, because it was difficult to develop large scaled industrial complex by reason of human geography. In addition, after the implementation of local autonomy system, Kangwondo has been promoting various programs for local development using tourism resource which is the more dominate than any other province. This study will present the right way of tourism craftwork development which represents the regional emotion and character as a part of tourism and local policy of Kangwondo. I have recognized the problems of the craftwork such as design, products and companies, and tried to find related agency, support policy and its promoting programs to solve them.

The year of 1998 was a very hard time for the most of Koreans. The rate of unemployment, which had averaged between 2 and 2.5 percent for many years, has continued to rise as the industrial production declined from the first quarter of 1998. The seasonally unadjusted unemployment rate recorded high of 8.4 percent in the first quarter of 1999, and the number of the unemployed as 1.75 million. On the other hand, the unemployment rate in Kangwondo used to be smaller than the nation-wide rate. However, this should not be taken as evidence that Kangwondo's economy used to perform better than others, because the participation rate also used to be smaller in Kangwondo than other regions. Anyhow, the unemployment problem is one of urgent issues in Korean society. The purpose of this paper is to overall review Kangwondo's unemployment counterplan and to make priorities about what we have to do against the long-run unemployment. In addition to implementing unemployment countermeasure of the central government, Kangwondo has to devise in itself unemployment counterplan reflecting local attributes.

The purpose of this study is development of bridge design guidelines in Kangwondo mountain area. Much damages heve been wrought by Typhoon Rusa(2002), Maemi(2003), Ewinniar(2006) and severe rain storm in July 2006 in Kangwondo mountain area. The partial cause of these much damages are not consider the regional and geomorphologic condition of river in Kangwondo mountain area. Most of the bridge damages were caused by severe wash out the foundation of pier and abutment. As other reasons, dead trees, branches of the trees and floating materials were catched by pier and deck which make difficult or cut off the flow. Design guidelines are presented by analysis the types and reasons of damages of the disaster.

This study was conducted to examine the changes of nutritive substances in the edible potato varieties ('Superior', 'Atlantic', 'Irish Cobbler', 'Dejima') during storage under low temperature condition($4^{\circ}C$, 85-90% RH) from January to May. The items examined in this experiment were moisture, free soluble sugars, starch and vitamin C. The contents of starch and vitamin C decreased with increasing storage period. The rates of decrease in starch and vitamin C contents were high in February and low after that. The contents of moisture and free soluble sugars did not show a constant tendency during storage period. The contents of glucose and fructose were the highest in February and March. Among the four varieties, 'Superior' contained highest vitamin C, free sugar, and moisture, while 'Atlantic' contained the highest starch.

The rainy season started in July, 2006 and the rainfall occurred much damage from July 26 to 28 for three days. Injae and Yangyang which many damage generated by rainfall was made applicable to research. Research of a study has grasped the damage aspect and present condition of Kangwondo. The cause of damage and the measure were concluded in consideration of the collapse characteristic.

This paper presents the disaster control due to flooding through the case study of Samwhadong, Donghae city, Kangwondo, broken out at 31, August 2002. In order to assess the characteristics of flood damage one must consider social and geological conditions, the factors of flood risk were derived based on GIS. For reduction of flood damage, flood hazard map was prepared for local residents. These information will support refuge activities, it would aid the reduction of flood damage.

Serological investigations for the leptospirosis on hospitalized patients in Choonchun Sungsim Hospital during the periods from August to November 1985 and 841 inhabitants of Kangwondo area including Choonchun, Choonsung, Inje, Chulwon, Hwachun, Gosung, Taibaik, Samchuk and Yangju area were carried out. 1. Among 58 hospitalized patients who were suspected as leptospirosis, 10 patients were detected to have antibody against Leptospira. All of positive sera had the highest antibody titer against serogroup Icterohemorrhagiae and most positive sera were also reactive to serogroup Australis and Canicola. Antibody titer of positive sera detected by microscopic agglutination(MA) test were ranging from 1 : 40 to 1 : 2,560. Antibody titer detected by ELISA method were higher than those detected by MAT(ELISA 1 : 400$\sim$1 : 25,600) and IgM titer of positive sera were generally higher than IgG titer. 2, Of 841 inhabitants in 8 area of Kangwondo, 17 persons (2,02%) possessing antibody against Leptospira were detected by ELISA method, IgG titer in positive sera were generally higher than IgM titer. Persons possessing antibody to Leptospira were distributed in both sex and in various age group, and no significant regional and occupational fluctuations were obserbed.

This study is finding the most appropriate model of kangwondo watershed. To synthesize each hydrograph, It is found to several parameters which are used in existing hydrographes. then the synthestic hydrograph is compared and investigated with many hydrographes of the rivers in kanwondo. These methods, Nakayasu, Clark, SCS are used to calculate the run-off of this watershed. When the calculated run-off is compared with real rating-curves, then it is found that the SCS method using the Clark's concentrantion time is the best way on this area having large watershed, long river length and gentle water slope, the Nakayasu method is more suitable on this area having small watershed, short river length and steep water slope. Also it is founded from analyzing run-off hydrographes, peak run-off and peak time that the Clark's method applied Kirpich's concentration time way is suitable in the area of kangwondo.
