Precise thickness control and excellent properties of silicon nitride thin films are essential for the next-generation semiconductor and display devices. In this study, silicon nitride thin films were deposited by batch-type atomic layer deposition (ALD) method using $SiC1_4$ and $NH_3$ as the precursors at temperatures ranging from 500 to $600^{\circ}C$. Thin film deposition using a batch-type ALD reactor was a layer-by-layer atomic growth by self-limiting surface reactions, and the thickness of the deposited film can be controlled by the number of deposition cycles. The silicon nitride thin films deposited by ALD method exhibited composition, refractive index and wet etch rate similar with those of the thin films deposited by low-pressure chemical vapor deposition method at $760^{\circ}C$. The addition of pyridine mixed with precursors increased deposition rate by 50%, however, the films deposited with pyridine was readily oxidized owing to its unstable structure, which is unsuitable for the application to semiconductor or display devices.
In order to find an useful condition under which the mutants defective in sexual development could be isolated, the effects of several cultural conditions on the developments of Aspergillus nidulans were examined. Among several conditions found to restrict the asexual sporulation but enhance the sexual process, the interference of aeration by sealing the plates with sealing film was the most useful one for the purpose of mutant isolation. Sealing at any time before 20 hours from inoculation prevented both sexual and asexual process. When the seal was removed after 24 hours, however, the mycelia developed only to sexual organs. Using this properity, the early morphogenic process of sexual development could be easily observed and a number of mutants that showed some defects in the process could be isolated. The mutants were divided into 3 groups, NSD (never in sexual development), BSD (block in sexual development) and ASD (abnormal in sexual development). NSD mutants never produced either the $H{\ddot{u}}lle$ cells or cleistothecia and some produced the asexual organs even when the aeration was restricted. BSD mutants were blocked in the process of $H{\ddot{u}}lle$ cell, cleistothecia, crozier, asci or ascospore formation. ASD mutants had defects in the amount of cleistothecia, time of cleistothecial maturation or color of ascospores.

To clarify the correlation of the proteinase activity with pathogenicity of Clonorrhis sinensis, the proteinase activity either in excretory-secretory products (ESP) or in crude extracts of adult C. sinensis was examined. Substrate gel electrophoresis of the ESP and crude extracts revealed four distinct enzyme bands, which were differently inhibited by the specific proteinase inhibitors. The proteinase of the ESP with molecular mass of 24 kDa, was purified 23-fold with 14.5% yield by spectra gel ACA 44 gel filtration. It exhibited optimal pH at 7.5 in sodium phosphate (0.1 M). Its activity was inhibited specifically by N-ethylmaleimide (NEMI and antipain whereas potentiated 1.9 folds in the presence of 5 mM dithiothreitol (DTT). Cytotoxicity of the proteinase increased in a dose- dependent manner up to 120 ㎍/ml while reduced by NEM and antipain, indicating that cysteine proteinase was responsible for the cytotoxicity. This result shows that the 24 kDa cysteine proteinase is deeply correlated with the pathogenicity of C. sinensis infection.
The genus Mycobacterium includes crucial animal and human pathogens such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Mycobacterium leprae, and Mycobacterium bovis. Although it is important to understand the genetic basis for their virulence and persistence in host, genetic analysis in mycobacteria was hampered by a lack of sufficient genetic tools. Therefore, many functional vectors as molecular genetic tools have been designed for understanding mycobacterial biology, and the application of these tools to mycobacteria has accelerated the study of mechanisms involved in virulence and gene expression. To overcome the pre-existing problems in genetic manipulation of mycobacteria, this paper reports new vector systems as effective genetic tools in Mycobacterium smegmatis. Three vectors were developed; pKOTs is a suicide vector for mutagenesis containing a temperature-sensitive replication origin (TSRO) and the sacB gene encoding levansucrase as a counterselectable marker. pMV306lacZ is an integrative lacZ transcriptional fusion vector that can be inserted into chromosomal DNA by site-specific recombination. pTnMod-OKmTs is a minitransposon vector harboring the TSRO that can be used in random mutagenesis. It was demonstrated in this study that these vectors effectively worked in M. smegmatis. The vector systems reported here are expected to successfully applicable to future research of mycobacterial molecular genetics.
The purpose of this study was to investigate a useful model of giftedness in invention. Lee, et al.(2012a) with many other specialists in education for the gifted in invention had proposed a model which looked promising as the theoretical foundation for the field of gifted education in invention, which has been absent for a decade after gifted education in the area of invention started in Korea. Results from two delphi studies and specialists numerous discussions by resulted in a more refined model of giftedness in invention. The new model is based on the inventor's three main aptitudes, which are Knowledge-Skill aptitude, Synthesis-Creativity aptitude, and Character aptitude. These three aptitudes are integrated with 12 factors and 40 behaviors. Through the outcome of this study, we can expect the following : The field of gifted education in invention can have the theorical foundation that practitioners and researchers can share for further practical and academical communication. The new model of giftedness in invention can be used as the basis for identifying promising students who are gifted in invention. Programs and Intervention for gifted students in invention can be designed or evaluated based on the new model.
This study investigated a relationship among facilitating discourse, students' perceived challenge, and learning outcomes(persistent intention and learning achievement) in an online science gifted education program. Two hundreds and forty-two middle school students participated in the study. A survey questionnaire which was consisted of 6 items of facilitating discourse from teaching presence questionnaire(Shea, Swan, & Pickett, 2005) and 5 items of challenge from Student Perceptions of Classroom Quality(Gentry & Owen, 2004) was administered. First, the findings of this study showed that students' perceived facilitating discourse as a part of teaching presence was positively related to students' perceived challenge in an online course. Second, students' perceived facilitating discourse were positively related to persistent intention, but were negatively related to students' achievement. Third, students' perceived challenge was positively related to persistent intention and achievement. Finally, challenge mediated the relationship between students' perceived facilitating discourse and persistent intention, and the relationship between students' perceived facilitating discourse and students' achievement as well. This results suggested that online program should be designed to increase the levels of facilitating discourse.

In this study, a new approach using graphene oxide (GO) powder-composited Sn-3.0Ag-0.5Cu(in wt.%) solder paste for improving the bending reliability of solder joints between a flexible substrate and small outline package (SOP) was suggested. The GO addition slightly affected the melting temperature, however, the change in the melting temperature was not significant. Meanwhile, we observed the addition of GO could suppress IMC growth and IMC thickness of solder joint during the reflow process. Moreover, the cyclic bending test was also performed for evaluation of reliability in solder joint and we could improve the cyclic bending reliability of solder joint by adding GO powders. For 0.2 wt.% of GO added to the solder joint, the bending lifetime was increased to 20% greater than that without GO. Pull strength and ductility of the solder joint with GO were also higher than those of the joint without GO and it was assumed that this effect by adding GO could contribute to improve cyclic bending reliability of solder joint.

In the defense modeling and simulation, for the detailed analysis of the communication system, many studies have carried out the analysis under the C3 SoS(system of systems) which consists of C2(command and control) and C(communication). However, it requires time and space constraints of the C2 system. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a communication analysis method in the standalone system environment which is combined with the C system after abstracting the C2 system. In the abstraction process, we hypothesize the traffic model and mobility model for C system analysis and learn the parameters in the model based on machine learning. Through the proposed method, it is possible to construct traffic and mobility model with different output according to the battlefield. This case study shows how the process can be applied to the C3 SoS and the enhanced accuracy than the existing method. We expect that it is possible to carry out the efficient communication analysis against many experimental scenarios with various communication parameters.

Sarcopenia, a common clinical syndrome in older adults, is defined as decreased muscle mass, strength, and physical performance. Since sarcopenia is associated with the incidence of functional decline, falls, and even mortality in older adults, researchers and health care providers have been keen to accumulate clinical evidence to advocate the screening and prevention of sarcopenia progression in older adults. The factors that may accelerate the loss of muscle mass and function include chronic diseases, inactivity, and deficiency in appropriate nutritional support. Among these, nutritional support is considered an initial step to delay the progression of muscle wasting and improve physical performance in community-dwelling older adults. However, a nationwide study suggested that most Korean older adults do not consume sufficient dietary protein to maintain their muscle mass. Furthermore, considering age-associated anabolic resistance to dietary protein, higher protein intake should be emphasized in older adults than in younger people. To develop a dietary protein recommendation for older adults in Korea, we reviewed the relevant literature, including interventional studies from Korea. From these, we recommend that older adults consume at least 1.2 g of protein per kg of body weight per day (g/kg/day) to delay the progression of muscle wasting. The amount we recommend (1.2 g/kg/day) is 31.4% higher than the previously suggested recommended daily allowance (i.e., 0.91 g/kg/day) for the general population of Korea. Also, evidence to date suggests that the combination of exercise and nutritional support may enhance the beneficial effects of protein intake in older adults in Korea. We found that the current studies are insufficient to build population-based guidelines for older adults, and we call for further researches in Korea.
