  • Let $K_{\alpha}(G)$ (resp. $K_s(G)$) be the abelian (resp. symmetric) Kac algebra for a locally compact group G. We show that there exists a one-to-one correspondence between the subgroups of G and the sub-Kac algebras of $K_{\alpha}(G)$ (resp. $K_s(G)$). Moreover we obtain similar correspondences between the subgroups of G and the reduced Kac algebras of $K_{\alpha}(G)$ (resp. $K_s(G)$).

  • For a group action ${\alpha}$ on a Kac algebra $\mathbb{K}$ with the crossed product Kac algebra $\mathbb{K}{\rtimes}_{\alpha}G$, we will show that ${\pi}_{\alpha}(\mathbb{K})$ is a sub-Kac algebra of $\mathbb{K}{\rtimes}_{\alpha}G$. We will also investigate the intrinsic group $G(\mathbb{K})$ of $\mathbb{K}$ and get a group action ${\beta}$ on a symmetric Kac algebra $\mathbb{K}_s(G(\mathbb{K})$ with the crossed product sub-Kac algebra $\mathbb{K}_s(G(\mathbb{K}){\rtimes}_{\beta}G$ of $\mathbb{K}{\rtimes}_{\alpha}G$.

  • In this paper we determine all elements in the root lattice of symmetrizable generalized Kac-Moody algebras whose reflections preserve the root systems. Also we discuss elements in the root lattices whose reflection preserve the root lattices.

  • In this paper we give some branching rules for the fundamental representations of Kac-Moody Lie algebras associated to T-shaped graphs. These formulas are useful to describe generators of the generic rings for free resolutions of length three described in [7]. We also make some conjectures about the generic rings.

  • This research examined the mediation effects of knowledge absorptive capacity (KAC) and knowledge management capability (KMC), between information communication technology (ICT) implementation and firm performance. In the past, studies investigated KAC and KMC separately. While studies of KAC focus on the flow of information, those of KMC focus on knowledge creation triggered by innovative information. However, KAC and KMC are not mutually exclusive and as such we investigated them together in this research. We surveyed 126 companies and analyzed hypotheses with LISREL analysis. This research provided empirical support for the Nonaka's contention that the information processing has a positive effect on knowledge creation. We also found that there is a mediation effect between ICT implementation and firm performance. Not only is there a direct effect of ICT implementation on firm performance, but there is an indirect effect through KAC and KMC. KAC has a positive effect on both KMC and firm performance. However, it has been discovered that while KMC has mediation effect, it is not significant as an independent factor for firm performance.

  • 7-Aminocephalosporanic acid (7-ACA) is the initial compound in preparation of cephalosporin antibiotics widely used in clinical treatment. Bacteria producing glutaryl 7-ACA acylase, which convert cephalosporin C to 7-ACA, has been screened in soil samples. A bacterial strain exhibiting high glutaryl 7-ACA acylase activity, designated KAC-1, was isolated and identified as a strain of Pseudomonas diminuta by characterizing its morphological and physiological properties. The screening procedures include culturing on enrichment media containing glutaric acid, glutamate, and glutaryl 7-aminocephalosporanic acid as selective carbon sources. To enhance enzyme production, optimal cultivation conditions were investigated. This strain grew optimally at pH 7 to 9 and in temperatures of 20 to 40 C, but acylase production was higher when the strain was grown at 25 C. Glutaric acid, glutamate and glucos also acted as inducers for acylase production. In a jar fermenter culture, P. diminuta KAC-1 produce acylase in a growth-associated manner. The substrate specificity of KAC-1 acylase by cell extract showed that this enzyme had specificity toward glutaryl 7-ACA, glutaryl 7-ADCA, but not cephalosporin C.

  • In the theory of the conditional Wiener integral, the integrand is a functional of the standard Wiener process. In this paper we consider a conditional function space integral for functionals of more general stochastic process and the generalized Kac-Feynman integral equation. We first show that the existence of a partial differential equation. We then show that the generalized Kac-Feynman integral equation is equivalent to the partial differential equation.
