  • Let F be a germ of analytic transformation from $(C^2, O)$ to $C^2, O)$. Let a, b denote the eigenvalues of DF(O). O is called a semi-attrative fixed point if $$\mid$a$\mid$ = 1, 0 < $\mid$b$\mid$ < 1 = 1, 0 < $\mid$a$\mid$ < 1)$. O is called a super-attractive fixed point if a = 0, b = 0. We discuss such a mapping from the point of view of dynamical systems.

  • In this study, we use various change-point detection methods to detects Korea economic crisis of 1997, and then compares their performance. In change-point detection method, there are three major categories: (1) the parametric approach, (2) the nonparametric approach, and (3) the model-based approach. Through the application to Korea foreign exchange rate during her economic crisis, we compare the employed change-point detection methods and, furthermore, determine which of them performs better.

  • We derive the point-spread function of the reconstructed image from a point-source complex hologram, which includes phase error caused by polarization components, in the longitudinal direction of the point-spread function and analyze the effect of the error sources of polarization components having influence on image reconstruction of a point-source complex hologram in incoherent triangular holography.

  • A new reference point location method using the cosine component is proposed, where an edge map is defined and used to find the reference point. Because all processes used in the proposed method are performed at the block level, less processing time is required. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively detect the reference point with higher speed and accuracy for all types of fingerprints.

  • This paper deals with the problem of testing for the existence of change in mean and estimating the change-point when the data are from the exponential distributions. The likelihood ratio test statistic and Gombay and Horvath (1990) test statistic are compared in a power study when there exists one change-point in the exponential means. Also the change-point estimator using the likelihood ratio and the change-point estimators based on Gombay and Horvath (1990) statistic are compared for their detecting capability via simulation.

  • The purpose of this paper is to establish a random fixed point theorem for nonconvex valued random multivalued operators, which generalize known results in the literature. We also derive a random coincidence fixed point theorem in the noncompart setting.

  • In this paper, a numerical algorithm for the kinematic analysis of a multi-link five-point suspension system is presented. The kinematic analysis is carried out in terms of the rectangular Cartesian coordinates of some defined points in the links and at the joints. Geometric constraints are introduced to fix the relative positions between the points belonging to the same rigid body. Position, velocity and acceleration analyses are carried out. The presented formulation in terms or this system of coordinates is simple and involves only elementary mathematics. The results of the kinematic analysis are presented and discussed.

  • The fixed point index plays an important role in solving the positive solutions of nonlinear equations in ordered Banach spaces ([7], [10], [11], [14], [15]). Many authors have studied the existence problems of positive solutions of nonlinear equations for nonlinear mappings ([1]-[5], [7], [9], [10], [14], [15]).
