  • Using T-lymphocytes obtained from rat peripheral blood, we found that the 44kD/pI6.8 protein was the major phosphoprotein of T-lymphocytes under basal condition, and that the 44kD/pI6.3 protein was a new phosphoprotein appeared in T-lymphocytes stimulated with ${\beta}-agonist$. The phosphorylation of the 44kD/pI6.3 protein was also induced by forskolin but inhibited by H-8 pretreatment. To clarify the character of the 44kD/pI6.3 protein, we used Con-A and kinase inhibitors, H-7 and W-7. Con-A stimulation induced phosphorylation of 44kD/pI 6.3 protein but that was inhibited by W-7 pretreatment. The phosphorytation of 44kD/pI6.3 protein was not induced by the PKC activator, PMA. Instead, the phosphorylation of 44kD/pI6.8 protein was reduced by H-7, a PKC inhibitor. From the above results,it can be concluded that the 44kD/pI6.3 protein can be a common substrate for A-kinase and CaM kinase. The two dimensional tryptic peptide mapping revealed that the 44kD/pI6.8 and 44kD/pI6.3 proteins are different.

  • We present a system for generating 3D personalized figures. This system provides 3D figures model modification and combination functions based on the content-awareness. The integrity of the 3D model must be guaranteed at the time of slicing of the 3D model for 3D printing. In addition to this, with 3D printing, we generally have to print a hollow model in order to save money, time, and the integrity of the print. This paper proposes the automatic algorithm that creates the 3D individual figures with depth sensor and the easy UI functions for deformation, thickness adjustment, and combination of the generated 3D figures model based on the content-awareness. Our proposed method maintains the unique features of the generated 3D figures and ensures the successful 3D printing.

  • This study aimed to improve the reproductive efficiency of dairy herds by comparison and analyzing estrous appearance rate, conception and non-conception rate according to the stage of lactation using the lactation and reproductive records of average (less than 10,000 liters milk in 305 days) and high yielding (more than 10,000 liters milk in 305 days) Holstein cows (n=102). Milk production and reproduction data were collected between January 2010 and December 2012 from Holstein cows kept in the commercial dairy farms. Average (n=32) and high yielding (n=24) Holstein cows used to analyze the relationship between milk yield and reproductive performance. Our results showed that estrous appearance rate according to the stage of lactation was 25.0% (30~59d), 40.6% (60~89d), 25% (90~110d) and 9.4% (>111d) in average yielding cows and 16.7% (30~59d), 20.8% (60~89d), 12.5% (90~110d) and 50.0% (>111d) in high yielding cows, respectively. Conception rate according to the stage of lactation was 87.5% (30~59d), 61.5% (60~89d), 75.0% (90~110d) and 66.7% (>111d) in average yielding cows and 25.0% (30~59d), 0% (60~89d), 33.3% (90~110d) and 50.0% (>111d) in high yielding cows, respectively. Days between parturition and conception was 23.7% (<149d), 0% (150~209d) and 0% (>210 d) in average yielding cows and 69.0% (<149 d), 77.8% (150~209d) and 38.9% (>210d) in high yielding cows, respectively. Conception rate from 110 days postpartum in high yielding cows was 41.7% (110~150d), 50.0% (151~180d) and 50.0% (>181d). Body condition score (BCS) in 120 days postpartum was $2.64{\pm}0.1$ in average yielding cows and $2.28{\pm}0.1$ in high yielding cows, respectively.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the antioxidant activity of the ethanol extract from $d\bar{o}d\bar{o}k$ compared with that from ginseng. The peroxide values and thiobarbituric acid values were examined in order to estimate the antioxidant activity of the extract in soybean oil and lard. The antioxidant activity of the extract in soybean oil increased in the order of BHA$d\bar{o}d\bar{o}k$ cold extract(WDCE)$d\bar{o}d\bar{o}k$ reflux extract(WDRE)$d\bar{o}d\bar{o}k$ cold extract(CDCE)$d\bar{o}d\bar{o}k$ reflux extract(CDRE) $d\bar{o}d\bar{o}k$ showed significantly stronger antioxidant activity than that from ginseng.

  • We show that a strong system of derivations ${D_0, D_1,\cdots,D_m}$ on a commutative Banach algebra A is contained in the radical of A if it satisfies one of the following conditions for separating spaces; (1) $\partial(D_i) \subseteq rad(A) and \partial(D_i) \subseteq K D_i(rad(A))$ for all i, where $K D_i(rad(A)) = {x \in rad(A))$ : for each $m \geq 1, D^m_i(x) \in rad(A)}$. (2) $(D^m_i) \subseteq rad(A)$ for all i and m. (3) $\bar{x\partial(D_i)} = \partial(D_i)$ for all i and all nonzero x in rad(A).

  • In this paper, we prove some congruences involving the generalized Catalan numbers and harmonic numbers modulo $p^2$, one of which is $$\sum\limits_{k=1}^{p-1}k^2B_{p,k}B_{p,k-d}{\equiv}4(-1)^d\{{\frac{1}{3}}d(2d^2+1)(4pH_d-1)-p\({\frac{26}{9}}d^3+{\frac{4}{3}}d^2+{\frac{7}{9}}d+{\frac{1}{2}}\)\}\;(mod\;p^2)$$, where a prime number p > 3 and $1{\leq}d{\leq}p$.

  • Let $C_d$ be the rational curve of degree d in $P_k ^3$ given parametrically by $x_0 = u^d, X_1 = u^{d - 1}t, X_2 = ut^{d - 1}, X_3 = t^d (d \geq 4)$. Then the defining ideal of $C_d$ can be minimally generated by d polynomials $F_1, F_2, \ldots, F_d$ such that $degF_1 = 2, degF_2 = \cdots = degF_d = d - 1$ and $C_d$ is a set-theoretically complete intersection on $F_2 = X_1^{d-1} - X_2X_0^{d-2}$ for every field k of characteristic p > 0. For the proofs we will use the notion of Grobner basis.

  • In this work, we present the comparison between $d_{31}\;and\;d_{33}$ mode characterization using the PZT micro-actuator for large displacement. The PZT micro-actuator consisted of Si, PZT, and Pt layer on SOI wafer. The electrode shapes were laminated and interdigitated for $d_{31}\;and\;d_{33}$ mode, respectively. In order to characterize the actuation mode, we measured the displacement using laser interferometer. The maximum displacement of d31 mode was $12.2{\mu}m$ at 10V, the actuation characterization of d31 was better than that of d33 mode. We estimated that displacement of d33 mode would be larger than that of d31 above 30V.

  • We demonstrate that the performance of amorphous indium-gallium-zinc-oxide (IGZO) thin-film transistors (TFT) can be optimized by controlling the interfaces between IGZO and sandwiching insulators and by proper deposition of IGZO layer. Specifically, contact and channel resistances are decreased by reducing IGZO bulk resistance and optimizing dry-etch process, respectively. Field-effect mobility ($\mu_{FE}$) and subthreshold gate swing (S) are further enhanced by fine-tuning IGZO deposition condition.
