  • This study proposes a new methodology to increase the flexibility and efficiency of the design data evaluation system by combining Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology in the architectural industry, OpenAI's interactive artificial intelligence, and ChatGPT. BIM technology plays an important role in digitally modeling and managing architectural information. Since architectural information is included, research and development are underway to review and evaluate BIM data according to conditions through program development. However, in the process of reviewing BIM design data, if the review criteria or evaluation criteria according to design change occur frequently, it is necessary to update the program anew. In order for designers or reviewers to apply the changed criteria, requesting a program developer will delay time. This problem was studied by using ChatGPT to modify and update the design data evaluation program code in real time. In this study, it is aimed to improve the changing standards and accuracy by enabling programming non-professionals to change the design regulations and calculation standards of the BIM evaluation program system using ChatGPT. In this study, in the BIM-based design certification automation evaluation program, a program in which the automation evaluation method is being studied based on the design certification evaluation manual was first used. In the design certification automation evaluation program, the programming non-majors checked the automation evaluation code by linking ChatGPT, and the changed calculation criteria were created and modified interactively. As a result of the evaluation, the change in the calculation standard was explained to ChatGPT and the applied result was confirmed.

  • Earlier studies have validated the isolation of extended-spectrum beta-lactamase-producing Salmonella (ESBL-Sal) strains from food. While poultry is recognized as a reservoir for Salmonella contamination, pertinent data regarding ESBL-Sal remains limited. Consequently, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has isolated Salmonella spp. from retail meat and evaluated their antibiotic susceptibility and genetic characteristics via whole-genome sequencing. To further elucidate these aspects, this study investigates the prevalence, antibiotic resistance profiles, genomic characteristics, and homology of ESBL-Sal spp. obtained from livestock-derived products in South Korean retail outlets. A total of 653 Salmonella spp. were isolated from 1,876 meat samples, including 509 beef, 503 pork, 555 chicken, and 309 duck samples. The prevalence rates of Salmonella were 0.0%, 1.4%, 17.5%, and 28.2% in the beef, pork, chicken, and duck samples, respectively. ESBL-Sal was exclusively identified in poultry meat, with a prevalence of 1.4% in the chicken samples (8/555) and 0.3% in the duck samples (1/309). All ESBL-Sal strains carried the blaCTX-M-1 gene and exhibited resistance to ampicillin, ceftiofur, ceftazidime, nalidixic acid, and tetracycline. Eight ESBL-Sal isolates were identified as S. Enteritidis with sequence type (ST) 11. The major plasmid replicons of the Enteritidis-ST11 strains were IncFIB(S) and IncFII(S), carrying antimicrobial resistance genes (β-lactam, tetracycline, and aminoglycoside) and 166 virulence factor genes. The results of this study provide valuable insights for the surveillance and monitoring of ESBL-Sal in South Korean food chain.

  • A sensitive and simple analytical method to identify flutianil residues in agricultural commodities was developed and validated using gas chromatography-electron capture detection (GC-ECD) and mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The flutianil residues were extracted with acetonitrile, partitioned with dichloromethane, and then purified using a silica solid-phase extraction (SPE) cartridge. The method was validated using pepper, sweet pepper, mandarin, hulled rice, soybean, and potato spiked with 0.02 or 0.2 mg/kg flutianil. The average recovery of flutianil was 76.5-108.0% with a relative standard deviation of less than 10%. The limit of detection and limit of quantification were 0.004 and 0.02 mg/kg, respectively. The result of recoveries and relative standard deviation were in line with Codex Alimentarius Commission Guidelines (CAC/GL 40). These results show that the method developed in this study is appropriate for flutianil identification and can be used to maintain the safety of agricultural products containing flutianil residues.

  • Identification of main ingredients in starches has been investigated using physicochemical analysis method mainly. However, physicochemical properties such as particle size have limitations in determining the differences among mixed starches. Therefore, we developed a molecular biological method to identify materials used in starch, as a sample, 11 kinds of starches including sweet potato starch, potato starch, corn starch, and tapioca starch. DNeasy plant mini kit, magnetic DNA purification system, and CTAB methods were used to extract DNA from samples. After gene extraction, whole genome amplification (WGA) was performed to amplify the extracted DNA. Species-specific primers were used as followings: ib-286-F/ib-286-R (105 bp), Pss 01n-5'/Pss 01n-3' (216 bp), SS11b 3-5'/SS11b 3-3' (114 bp), and SSRY26-F/SSRY26-R (121 bp) gene for sweet potato, potato, corn, and tapioca, respectively. In this study, we could confirm the main ingredients using WGA and PCR method.

  • Type 1 and type 2 buildings must regularly conduct precise safety inspections and precise safety diagnosis for the safety and maintenance of facilities, and the safety grade of the building is determined according to the results of the implementation. In addition, the cycle of inspection and diagnosis is determined according to the safety grade of the building. In order to determine the safety grade of the building, a precise safety inspection conducts condition evaluation, and a precise safety diagnosis conducts condition evaluation and safety evaluation. Therefore, since the inspection and diagnosis cycle is determined according to the safety grade of the building, the condition evaluation and safety evaluation must be precise. However, in the case of member unit evaluation, which is the first step in evaluating the current condition, the evaluation grade is determined by using the representative value of the measurement result, and this may result in an error in the evaluation grade. To solve this problem, this study analyzed evaluation criteria for each evaluation item and presented evaluation criteria using inequalities to respond to measurement results and evaluation scores. In addition, we present a functional formula that can reflect performance scores for each evaluation item.

  • In this paper, availabilities of student-evaluations of team activities in the computer science basic classes were analysed. For the purpose, correlation analysis was conducted to investigate the relationships among peer-evaluation, self-evaluation, and academic achievement, and it was found that there was a statistically significant positive correlation among them. Moreover, the gap between peer-evaluation scores and self-evaluation scores was analyzed. When a one-sample t-test was performed, it was found that the gap was very significant. However, the size of the gap was not different between the two classes. That is, regardless of grade level, the students' self-evaluation scores tended to be on average higher than the evaluation scores received from peers. Finally, when analyzing the relationship between the gap in peer-evaluation and self-evaluation scores and academic achievement, there was no significant correlation between the gap in scores and academic achievement. In other words, there was no difference in the tendency of evaluation for students with high or low academic achievement. The results of the analysis shows the availability of student-evaluations of team activities in the evaluation of team-based instruction. The high correlation between self-evaluation and peer-evaluation indicates the objectivity of student-evaluation. Although it is clear that the self-evaluation score is higher on average than the score received from peers, it is more useful in terms of objectivity because it does not vary according to grade, subject, or academic achievement.

  • Recently, an evaluation for information system performance analysis an investment effect quantitatively and qualitatively. So various performance evaluation methods are applied to overcome a limitation which is based on traditional investment returns. However a performance evaluation in public service only derives that a result which is qualitatively evaluated about evaluation domain is yes or no, the performance evaluation does not improve in quality of information system. So in this paper we improve existing performance evaluation methods in public service and add a quality evaluation and quantitative evaluation in the methods. Therefore we propose an integrated evaluation model which guarantees objectivity and reliability of evaluation result and which improves an information system. We consider a project object of an Administration Information DB Construction Project which is promoted in information-oriented project and derive an evaluation result which is applied reflection ratio and weight in each evaluation domain to show a validity of the proposed model.

  • Background: As social problems due to the acceleration of the aging era and the increase in the elderly population are becoming serious, virtual reality (VR)-based healthcare is emerging as an approach for preventing and managing health issues. Objects: This study used validity and reliability analyses to examine the clinical efficacy that is, the clinical value and usability of a novel VR cognitive evaluation system index that we developed. Methods: We developed a VR cognitive evaluation system based on motion recognition analysis evaluation for individuals aged 65 to 85. After conducting the Korean version of the Mini-Mental State Exam (K-MMSE) cognitive evaluation, the evaluation score was verified through correlation analysis in the VR cognitive evaluation system. To verify the construct validity of the two groups, the Global Deterioration Scale (GDS) grades were categorized into a normal cognitive group (GDS grade 1) and a cognitive impairment group (GDS grades 2 and 3). The data were measured twice to determine the reliability between the two measurements and assess the stability and clinical value of the evaluation system. Results: Our evaluation system had a high correlation of 0.85 with the widely used K-MMSE cognitive evaluation. The system had strong criterion-related validity at the 95% confidence interval. Compared to the average score of GDS grade 1 in the VR cognitive evaluation system, the average score of GDS grades 2 and 3 in the VR cognitive evaluation system was statistically significantly lower while also having strong construct validity at the 95% confidence interval. To measure the reliability of the VR cognitive evaluation system, tests-retests were conducted using the intraclass correlation coefficient (3,1), which equaled 0.923 and was statistically significant. Conclusion: The VR cognitive evaluation system we developed is a valid and reliable clinical tool to distinguish between normal cognitive status and mild cognitive impairment.
