업무성과에 영향을 주는 업무용 모바일 어플리케이션의 주요 요인에 관한 연구 (An Empirical Study on the Influencing Factors of Perceived Job Performance in the Context of Enterprise Mobile Applications)

  • The ubiquitous accessibility of information through mobile devices has led to an increased mobility of workers from their fixed workplaces. Market researchers estimate that by 2016, 350 million workers will be using their smartphones for business purposes, and the use of smartphones will offer new business benefits. Enterprises are now adopting mobile technologies for numerous applications to increase their operational efficiency, improve their responsiveness and competitiveness, and cultivate their innovativeness. For these reasons, various organizational aspects concerning "mobile work" have received a great deal of recent attention. Moreover, many CIOs plan to allocate a considerable amount of their budgets mobile work environments. In particular, with the consumerization of information technology, enterprise mobile applications (EMA) have played a significant role in the explosive growth of mobile computing in the workplace, and even in improving sales for firms in this field. EMA can be defined as mobile technologies and role-based applications, as companies design them for specific roles and functions in organizations. Technically, EMA can be defined as business enterprise systems, including critical business functions that enable users to access enterprise systems via wireless mobile devices, such as smartphones or tablets. Specifically, EMA enables employees to have greater access to real-time information, and provides them with simple features and functionalities that are easy for them to complete specific tasks. While the impact of EMA on organizational workers' productivity has been given considerable attention in various literatures, relatively little research effort has been made to examine how EMA actually lead to users' job performance. In particular, we have a limited understanding of what the key antecedents are of such an EMA usage outcome. In this paper, we focus on employees' perceived job performance as the outcome of EMA use, which indicates the successful role of EMA with regard to employees' tasks. Thus, to develop a deeper understanding of the relationship among EMA, its environment, and employees' perceived job performance, we develop a comprehensive model that considers the perceived-fit between EMA and employees' tasks, satisfaction on EMA, and the organizational environment. With this model, we try to examine EMA to explain how job performance through EMA is revealed from both the task-technology fit for EMA and satisfaction on EMA, while also considering the antecedent factors for these constructs. The objectives of this study are to address the following research questions: (1) How can employees successfully manage EMA in order to enhance their perceived job performance? (2) What internal and/or external factors are important antecedents in increasing EMA users' satisfaction on MES and task-technology fit for EMA? (3) What are the impacts of organizational (e.g. organizational agility), and task-related antecedents (e.g., task mobility) on task-technology fit for EMA? (4) What are the impacts of internal (e.g., self-efficacy) and external antecedents (e.g., system reputation) for the habitual use of EMA? Based on a survey from 254 actual employees who use EMA in their workplace across industries, our results indicate that task-technology fit for EMA and satisfaction on EMA are positively associated with job performance. We also identify task mobility, organizational agility, and system accessibility that are found to be positively associated with task-technology fit for EMA. Further, we find that external factor, such as the reputation of EMA, and internal factor, such as self-efficacy for EMA that are found to be positively associated with the satisfaction of EMA. The present findings enable researchers and practitioners to understand the role of EMA, which facilitates organizational workers' efficient work processes, as well as the importance of task-technology fit for EMA. Our model provides a new set of antecedents and consequence variables for a TAM involving mobile applications. The research model also provides empirical evidence that EMA are important mobile services that positively influence individuals' performance. Our findings suggest that perceived organizational agility and task mobility do have a significant influence on task-technology fit for EMA usage through positive beliefs about EMA, that self-efficacy and system reputation can also influence individuals' satisfaction on EMA, and that these factors are important contingent factors for the impact of system satisfaction and perceived job performance. Our findings can help managers gauge the impact of EMA in terms of its contribution to job performance. Our results provide an explanation as to why many firms have recently adopted EMA for efficient business processes and productivity support. Our findings additionally suggest that the cognitive fit between task and technology can be an important requirement for the productivity support of EMA. Further, our study findings can help managers in formulating their strategies and building organizational culture that can affect employees perceived job performance. Managers, thus, can tailor their dependence on EMA as high or low, depending on their task's characteristics, to maximize the job performance in the workplace. Overall, this study strengthens our knowledge regarding the impact of mobile applications in organizational contexts, technology acceptance and the role of task characteristics. To conclude, we hope that our research inspires future studies exploring digital productivity in the workplace and/or taking the role of EMA into account for employee job performance.

사이버대학 관광영어 강좌의 학습자 요구분석과 수업설계 (Needs analysis and class design for online tourism English instruction)

  • The tourism industry has attained remarkable growth, and the need for professional Tourism English education has increased. Universities of online education can offer an environment for education to both job applicants and laymen who are interested in Tourism English. Tourism English belongs to English for Specific Purposes, which reflects the needs of specific area. The aim of this study is to propose improvements in classes design for online Tourism English instruction. The results of a needs analysis conducted on 160 Korean online university students suggest that online Tourism English class should be different from a traditional classroom-based one in regards to aims, contents, and methods. Online Tourism English class should not only focus on English for specific purposes, but also include more generalized topics. This comes as a result of the diverse backgrounds of online students. The results suggest that extralinguistic elements, such as culture and etiquette differences among English-speaking countries, become more interesting when introduced using pictures, videos, animations, etc. Additionally, SMS or emails can be utilized to raise students' motivation for online Tourism English class.

산업체 현장 실습의 활성화 방안에 관한 연구 - 현장 실습 관련 선행연구를 중심으로 - (The Study of "How to Activate Industrial Field Training Internships" - Focused on Former Researches Related to Field Training-)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand how to activate field training internships through former researches related to training internships. The concept of field training is the same as education of work experience. Students have experienced the skills of practical jobs in the tourism industry and could enhance acquisition of professional theories. According to domestic former researches, students who participated in hotel field practice hardly satisfied with internships due to unreasonable duties, burdens and circumstances regardless of efficiency of school curriculum. Also, they showed dissatisfaction with compensation. However, foreign studies have only focused on communication between hotels and schools. Finally, in order to activate industrial field training internships, schools and hotels have more delicate harmonization to address training internship problems. In addition, promoting field training internships must include proper incentives and must be supported by school. And also the hotel management must offer incentives to the students who are under field training internships in the hotel. From internship programs, students could get much more benefits in hotel job application.

영유아의 교육 및 보육기관 이용과 기관유형선택에 영향을 미치는 사회인구학적 요인 (Use of Early Childhood Care Centers and the Sociodemographic Factors of Choosing an Institute)

  • The purpose of this study is to offer essential information related to early childhood education and care policy. Using the Korea Labor and Income Panel Study(KLIPS) Vol.5., this study analyzed sociodemographic factors that decide the use and type of institute for early childhood education and care. The following results are obtained: First, it is not easy for young children under three years old to use education and care institutes because of their preference for home care. Second, the mother's job status affects the child's use of child care centers and private institutes for education except for the using of early child education centers. Third, the affecting main factors for the use of child care centers are quite similar to critical factors for use of the private institute for education. Thus, young children using the private institute for education could be interpreted as coming from a low-income class compared with the children using the early child education centers.

주거학 교과과정의 모형개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Model Curriculum Development in Housing)

  • The purpose of this research is twofold : 1) to establish an area of housing study through the analysis of the curriculum of housing within home economics units, and 2) to develop a model of the curriculum based on the area of housing defined. The data used for this research are the curricula of departments which offer housing courses within home economics units in Korea, Japan, and U.S.A: Based on the results of analysis, a field of housing studies is divided into four different areas : a housing-planning, socio-cultural aspects of housing, interior design, and general housing, research, and internships. A model curriculum is proposed based on the four different area of housing studies. The housing programs in Japan and U.S.A. are designed to prepare students for professional careers. In Korea, there is a strong demand for planning, designing, and managing housing and interior design to satisfy social needs. Therefore, our curriculum should be revised to expand graduates' job opportunities.

  • This thesis is aimed to suggest the efficiency at the education space for job-rehabilitation through grasping the characteristics of behavior and attitude of the handicapped and analyzing their loaming behavior as an employment promotion for the disabled. For that purpose, the demand of the handicapped and some overlooked space problems we searched by survey, interview, observation and investigation to offer basic data for interior design planning. It resulted firstly that the inconvenience of narrow space was pointed out in many responses implying users suffer from the stress and inconvenience caused by an unconsidered space planning to their behavior. And secondly further difficulties are added when medical appliances for the disabled are not appropriate to common furniture. Finally, without identification of the behavior and attitude of the handicapped the minimum or optimum space needed for them could not be suggested and it may cause to decrease the efficiency in their learning.

민간경비 관리자의 리더십 유형이 경비원의 직무만족 및 조직몰입에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the Effectiveness of Private Security Administrator's Leadership Style on Organizational commitment as well as Job Satisfaction of Private Security)

  • 우리나라는 IMF이후 급격한 경기침체로 각 기업을 비롯한 산업체의 구조조정 등 조직내 불신과 갈등이 확산되어 가고 있다. 어느 조직이든 지속적으로 생존${\cdot}$발전하기 위해서는 경영환경 변화에 유연하게 대처해야 할 것이다. 이를 위해서는 조직구성원들의 심리적 일체감과 조직에 대한 애착을 도모하고 열정을 높여주는 관리자의 리더십이 무엇보다 중요시된다. 이처럼 리더십의 중요성에도 불구하고 민간경비학 연구영역에서는 관리자의 리더십과 조직의 성과로 직결되는 직무만족 및 조직몰입에 관한 연구가 매우 미비한 실정이라 할 수 있다. 이러한 관점에서 본 연구는 민간경비 관리자의 리더십유형이 직무만족 및 조직몰입에 미치는 영향을 규명함으로써 이 분야에서의 경험적${\cdot}$이론적 자료를 축적하고, 나아가 민간경호경비 분야 발전에 필요한 경영자료를 제시하는데 그 목적을 두고 있다. 민간경비 관리자의 리더십 유형이 경비원의 직무만족 및 조직몰입에 미치는 영향을 보면 다음과 같다. 첫 번째로, 연령이 높고 월수입이 많을수록 변혁적 리더십을 보이는 관리자를 더 높게 평가하고 신뢰하고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 연령이 낮고 전문대학 졸업의 경비원일수록 자신에게 돌아오는 손익관계에 의한 계산적 몰입이 더 높게 나타나는 것으로 나타났다. 두 번째로, 관리자가 창의적인 관점을 개발하도록 자극을 주는 리더십을 보일수록 경비원의 직무 만족이 감소하고 있으며, 조건적인 보상을 요구하는 리더십을 보일수록 직무만족이 높아지는 경향을 나타내고 있다. 세 번째로, 관리자가 카리스마적 리더십을 발휘할수록 경비원들이 조직에 대하여 감정적으로 애착을 갖고 조직과의 일체감을 갖는 경향을 나타내고 있다.

경호관련학과 대학생의 진로의식에 관한 연구 (A Study on students' consciousness regarding their plans after graduation Education of Guard and Security Major)

  • 본 연구 목적은 국내 경호관련학 전공 대학생들이 경호관련 학과를 선택한 동기, 입학후 전공 교화과정에 대한 만족 정도, 교육을 통한 취업관련 여부, 전공과 직업, 진로에 대한 의식, 직업 선호도에 대한 전반적인 실태파악하여 학생들의 진학 및 진로에 도움이 주고자 하는데 있다. 이를 위해 4년제 대학(4개교)의 경호관련학과에 재학중인 학생들을 대상으로 할당표본추출 방법을 사용하여 총 340부를 배부하여 298부를 회수하였다. 회수된 설문지는 실태파악에는 빈도분석 및 집단간 차이는 독립 t-test검증, 일원 변량분석을 하였으며, 검증결과에 대한 유의성기준은 p<0.05로 설정하였다. 분석결과는 아래와 같다. 첫째, 경호 관련학과 선택에 따른 학생들의 만족도분석결과 남자의 평균이 2.42이고, 여자의 평균이 2.10으로, 여자가 남자에 비해서 학과 선택 만족도가 높았다. 둘째, 경호관련 대학생들의 교과과정 만족도, 전공수업, 학과분석의 결과 성별에 따른 만족도의 평균 차이는 교과과정 만족도는 남자 평균이 2.63이고, 여자의 평균이 2.88으로 나타나 남자가 여자보다 만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 학년에 따라서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 즉 2년제의 평균이 2.48이고 4년제의 평균이 2.74이므로 통계적으로 2년제 대학이 4년제 대학 보다 만족도가 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 경호관련 대학생들의 전공교육과 취업관계 분석에서 교과과정 개선과 학력간 분석 결과 통계적으로 유의한 연관성이 존재한다고 할 수 있다. 즉 2년제 평균이 3.23이고, 4년제 평균이 3.56으로 나타났다. 학년이 높을수록 교과과정 개선의 필요성이 높았다. 학교에서 취업을 위한 편의 제공에 대해 남자 평균은 3.74, 여자의 평균은 4.07으로 남자보다 여자가 더 제공해주기를 바라는 것으로 나타났다. 취업정보제공 정도에 대해서는 남자가 2.96, 여자가 2.59로 남자가 여자보다 더 높게 나타났다. 취업 준비를 위해 중점적으로 준비하는 것으로는 어학 공부가 40.4%로, 취업에 대한 자신감에서는 긍정적인 응답이 39.6%로 나타나 14.0%로 나타난 부정적인 응답보다 월등히 높게 나타났다. 다섯째, 경호관련 대학생들의 직업 선호도에 대해 49.2%가 공경호 분야를 선택해서 안정적인 직종을 원했고, 34.0%가 민간경호, 사설 경비업체를 선택하였다. 또한 공경호쪽에서의 희망 직종으로는 대통령 경호가 28.6%로 가장 높게 나타났다. 민간경호 부분에 있어서는 21.2%가 민간 경호, 경비업체를 선호하는 것으로 나타났다.

도시와 농촌지역 노인들의 양생수준에 영향을 미치는 요인 비교 (A Comparison of Influencing Factors on Yangseng(養生) Level in Urban and Rural Elderly)

  • The purpose of this research is to seek for efficient method of health improvement program for the old and to offer basic material for the development of community's public health service. This study investigated into the yangseng life level of the old and the factors which affect their yangseng life, and was to offer basic materials for oriental medicine-based health improvement plan which is appropriate for each community. The 818 surveys were conducted upon the old who are above 65 and who live in Jeollabukdo, and the results from the survey are as follows ; 1. The rural area showed more percentage of old people, the old who live alone and who have job compared to urban area. More people in rural area were found to live at their own expense. Additionally, there were more people who had high education in urban area and who have disease in rural area. 2. The total yangseng level of recipients was 94.20, and the average was 3.25. The average of urbanite was 3.26 and it was 3.23 for who live in rustic area, but there found no significant difference. All the old live in both urban area and rural area showed the highest score in morality yangseng and lowest in sex-life yangseng. 3. There found no difference upon regions, but the recipients show high yangseng level when they are male, have spouse, live with them, have factors including high education background, job, religion and hobby, or have confidence in their health. They also show high yangseng level when they do not have any disease in progress. 4. According to the results of general traits and yangseng level of each category, the old who live in urban area show higher exercise yangseng level than the one in rural area, and there is no significant difference upon the region in other categories. There were some cases which general traits and regional characteristics mutually affected each other. In conclusion, the yangseng level of the old is affected by individual traits and habits rather than the regions in which they live. The old who live in rural area are required to focus on exercise more, since the exercise yangseng level of them were lower than the ones of urban area. Moreover, there were some cases which general traits and regional characteristics mutually affected each other, so it requires further in-depth study about the correlation.

전기·전자·통신 분야 특성화고등학교의 SWOT 분석을 이용한 학교에서 일터로의 전이 개선 방안 (A Study on Improvement of Specialized High School of Electrical Field-to-Work Transition by SWOT Analysis)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 전기 전자 통신 분야 특성화고등학교의 학교에서 일터로의 전이를 개선하기 위해 SWOT 분석 기법을 적용하여 실제적인 방안을 도출하는 것이다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위해 전국의 12개 특성화고등학교의 교육과정을 분석하였고, 전문교과 담당교사 192명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 SO전략, ST전략, WO전략, WT전략으로 도출되었고, 이를 통하여 정부, 시 도교육청, 단위학교별로 다음과 같은 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 정부에서는 특성화고등학교 졸업자를 위한 병역특례 제공, 특성화고등학교장을 위한 CEO연수 강화, 현장실습을 확대하는 제도를 마련해야 한다. 둘째, 시 도교육청에서는 직무연수의 행 재정적 지원 강화, 산업체 초빙교사의 인력풀 제공, 지역 산업체의 인력수요와 지역사회의 요구에 따른 학과 개편을 추진해야 한다. 셋째, 단위 학교에서는 특성화 학과에 부합하는 학교 교육목표 제시, 지역 성장산업과 연계한 전문교과 편성, 이를 위한 인정교과서의 활용과 진로교육을 강화시켜야 한다.
