The purpose of this paper is a fuzzy logic controller for XY positioning system. The overall control system consists of three parts, the position controller, the speed controller, the fuzzy logic controller. Precise tracking is achieved by fuzzy logic controller. In practice, such systems contain many uncertainties. Therefore, the XY positioning system must receive and evaluate the motion of all axis for a better contouring accuracy. Cross coupled controller utilizes all axis position error information simultaneously to produce accurate contours. However, the existing Cross coupled controllers cannot overcome friction, backlash and parameter variation. So, we propose a fuzzy logic controller of XY positioning system. Experimental results show that the proposed fuzzy logic controller is effective to improve the contouring accuracy of XY positioning system.

Acetaminophen is one of the most commonly used over-the-counter medication in Korea. It is a safe and effective medication for the treatment of mild to moderate pain or fever when used in therapeutic doses. However, acetaminophen overdose is a frequent cause of acute liver failure. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the acetaminophen use for adult patients at community pharmacies in Korea. This study was a 11-questionnaire survey conducted from December 15, 2009 to January 5, 2010. Of the 204 respondents, 117 (57.4%) had used acetaminophen products within 6 months. Only 20 (9.8%) reported having knowledge about the daily maximum doses of acetaminophen, and 3 out of 20 knew it correctly. Only 10 (4.9%) reported having knowledge about the potentialtoxicity of acetaminophen overdose, and 7 out of 10 knew that acetaminophen overdose could cause liver toxicity. The results of this study indicates a need for pharmacists to educate patients regarding the appropriate doses and potential toxicities of acetaminophen.

The ERS(Embedded Rail Track system) is constructed in the world due to a slab track system having maintenance free, high structural safety, and deduction of noise and vibration. The ADRI-ERS is developed as Korean type. This paper shows that the design of ADRI-ERS and experiments according to DIN EN 13481-5 and Korea high speed train test guidelines. The ADRI-ERS has high structural safety in pull-out test, longitudinal resistance test, and fatigue test. The design method of ADRI-ERS is proposed by two design constants due to the result of experiments also.

Glass fiber reinforced composite decks have high-strength, light-weight and high durability. The composite decks having vertical snap-fit connections are designed for pedestrian bridges and their structural behaviour are studied. The existing connection method of the composite decks in horizontal direction is replaced by the developed snap-fit connection method in vertical direction. The section shape of the composite decks having the vertical snap-fit connection is designed. The safety of the vertical snap-fit connection is verified by finite element analysis.

Due to many advantages such as lightweight, high durability and speedy construction, increasing number of bridges of various girder types are being built recently with glass-fiber reinforced composite deck. A profile of the composite deck, called 'Delta deck', is developed which has 3 trapezoidal cells of 200mm depth. This paper introduces how to develop 'Delta deck' and its application to the world largest composite-deck bridge, which is 300m long and 35m wide and is currently under construction.

The specific ion effects are observed in the alumina-metal EDTA(Ethylene Diamine Tetraacetic Acid) system. These effects seem to be associated with the fluidity of the metal ion in the complex. A consideration of the order of adsorption of the complexes on alumina indicates that a specific ion effect also affects the stability of the system. It is clear that EDTA and its heavy metal complexes have a significant effect on the dewaterability of alumina. These effects are not well represented by zeta potential measurements, especially for EDTA alone. With the nonspeciating complexes, though, the maximum permeability is predicted by the pH$\_$zpc/ from zeta potential measurements. At other pH value, the refiltration rate is better predicted by the state of coagulation as measured by log W.

The purpose of this study is to find the apartment Choice and Housing Satisfaction by the Housing Value Segmentation. Survey questionnaires were conducted on 1103 married women from three residential areas in Daegu. Data were analized by SPSS package program. Major findings are the following: Quality oriented type preferred environment oriented and multiple apartment. Safety investment type answered the bases of the information as of sales/model house, real estate office, oral information from relative neighbor. Ostentation negative type is dissatisfied for the present apartment were listed such as inconvenient inner structure and inner space, education environment for children, privacy protection, convenient transportation for the urban area. Convenience educational environment type is dissatisfied for the present apartment were listed such as inconvenient inner structure and inner space, anti sonic materials, education environment for children, privacy protection.

The current paper presents an effective methodology for assessing the reliability of electromagnetic designs when considering uncertainties of design variables. To achieve this goal, the reliability index approach based on the first-order reliability method is adopted to deal with probabilistic constraint functions, which are expressed in terms of random design variables. The proposed method is applied to three different designs of a superconducting magnetic energy storage system that corresponds to initial, deterministic, and roust designs. The validity and efficiency of the method is investigated with reference values obtained from Monte Carlo simulation.

This paper proposes a harmonics reducing circuit for fluorescent lamp inverters using hybrid type smoothing circuit with pumping and smoothing capacitors. A waveform of full-wave rectification used as a direct current power supply at fluorescent lamp inverters contains a lot of harmonic wave from inrush current which is generated near the maximum of input voltage with purse shape when voltage smoothing capacitor is charged. Therefore, in order to suppress inrush current which will result in harmonic wave. this paper proposes a method to control abrupt charging current by use of charging voltage at pumping capacitor. The suppression of harmonics generation at lamp current is confirmed through simulations.
