빅카인즈 분석을 활용한 플로깅 문화와 프로스포츠 분야의 동향 분석 (Analysis on Trends in Plogging Culture and Professional Sports Using BIG KINDS Analysis)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 스포츠분야 '플로깅'에 관한 주요 키워드와 사회현상을 분석하고 중요 정보를 도출하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 한국언론진흥재단에서 제공하는 뉴스분석시스템 빅카인즈(BIG Kinds)를 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석기간은 2018년부터 2022년이며, 수집된 뉴스 5,148건 중 스포츠분야에 해당하는 42건을 최종적으로 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석방법은 빈도분석, 관계도분석, 연관어분석을 실시하였으며 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 스포츠분야 '플로깅' 관련 빈도 분석 결과, '제주', '선수들', '구국제마라톤대회', 'SSG', '이봉주 선수' 등의 키워드를 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 스포츠분야 '플로깅' 관련 관계도분석 결과, '코로나19', '국가대표', '엘리트', '마스터즈', '코로나' 등의 키워드를 확인할 수 있었다. 셋째, 스포츠분야 '플로깅' 관련 연관어분석 결과, '합성어', '봉사활동', '마스터즈 비대면', '제주', '선수들' 등의 키워드를 확인할 수 있었다. 국내 프로스포츠 분야의 플로깅은 국제 스포츠기구의 탄소중립실천을 위한 환경 활동 참여와 프로구단의 홍보를 목적으로 적극 활용하는 것으로 나타났다.

제주지역 야생 등줄쥐(Apodemus agrarius coreae) 분변의 호기성 장내 미생물 분포 (Distribution of Aerobic Intestinal Microorganisms in the Feces of the Striped Field Mouse (Apodemus agrarius coreae) in Jeju)

  • 제주특별자치도에 서식하는 등줄쥐를 포획하여 대장을 포함한 내부장기에서 분변 검체를 채취한 후, 장내 미생물을 호기적 배양하여 등줄쥐 분변에서 배양된 장내 미생물 분포를 조사하였다. 등줄쥐 분변 36개의 검체를 호기성 배양된 세균 집락을 그람염색 한 결과 모든 검체에서 그람음성막대균이 우세하게 관찰되었다. 36 검체 중 그람음성막대균은 36 균주(100%), 그람양성알균은 21 균주(58.3%), 그람양성막대균은 15 균주(41.7%)로 나타났으며 그람음성알균은 관찰되지 않았다. 36개의 검체에서 배양된 그람음성막대균은 Vitek 2 system을 이용하여 동정한 결과 모두 Escherichia coli (E. coli) 균종으로 동정되었으며, 1개 검체는 E. coli 균종과 Enterobacter cloacae 균종이 동시에 동정되었다. 분리된 E. coli 36 균주 중 항균제에 내성을 보이는 균주는 발견되지 않았으며, 1 균주만 cefoxitin 항균제에 중등도 내성을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 진드기, 설치류 매개 감염병의 원인이 되는 등줄쥐의 분변에서는 병원성 세균은 존재하지 않았다.

유기성 폐기물 자원화 시설에서 발생되는 부유 세균의 분포 특성 (Distribution Characteristics of Airborne Bacteria in Organic-Waste Resource Facilities)

  • Objectives: Bioaerosols released by treating organic-waste resources cause a variety of environmental and hygiene problems. The objective of this study was to investigate the distribution characteristics of the airborne bacteria emitted from a pig manure composting plant, a principal site for organic-waste resource facilities. Methods: Three types of pig manure composting plant were selected based on fermentation mode: screw type, rotary type and natural-dry type. Each site was visited and investigated on a monthly basis between September 2009 and August 2010. A total of 36 air samplings were obtained from the pig manure composting plants. The air sampling equipment was a six-stage cascade impactor. Quantification and qualification of airborne bacteria in the air samples was performed by agar culture method and identification technique, respectively. Results: The mean concentrations of airborne bacteria in pig manure composting plant were 7,032 (${\pm}1,496$) CFU $m^{-3}$ for screw type, 3,309 (${\pm}1,320$) CFU $m^{-3}$ for rotary type, and 5,580 (${\pm}1,106$) CFU $m^{-3}$ for natural dry type. The screw type pig manure composting plant showed the highest concentration of airborne bacteria, followed by the natural dry type and the rotary type. The ratio of respirable to total airborne bacteria was approximately 40-60%. The predominant genera of airborne bacteria identified were Micrococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp. and Escherichia spp. Conclusion: Monthly levels of airborne bacteria were highest in August and lowest in November regardless of fermentation mode. There was no significant correlation relationship between airborne bacteria and environmental factors such as temperature, relative humidity and particulate matters in pig manure composting plants.

백강균의 분생자병속 형성 조건 (Conditions for Formation of Synnemata from Beauveria bassiana)

  • 백강균(Beauveria bassiana)의 분생자병속 형성 조건 구명을 위해 본 실험을 수행하였다. 균은 제주도 설악산 일대에서 치사한 참매미로부터 분리되었다. 분생자병속 형성 유도 배지는 현미와 누에번데기를 원료로 하여 90:10 비율로 조제한 경우가 가장 효과적이었으며, 기타 배지 상에서는 분생자병속 발생이 관찰되지 않았다. 분생자병속은 공기 유입량이 최소일 때 형성이 효과적이었으며, 분생자병속 발생의 최적 온도는 $20^{\circ}C$, 배지 수분함량은 60% 및 조도 300 lux이었다. 또한, 증식에 활용한 종균은 액체배양균이 무성포자보다 분생자병속 형성에 더욱 효과적이었다.

  • This study examined the contents of 'Adolescent's Consumption Life' unit in 12 Technology Home Economics textbooks used in the 2009 revised curriculum to analyze the contents of school consumer education. The main summary of this study is as follows: First, the contents of consumer education in the unit of 'Adolescent's Consumption Life' consisted of five criteria including the understanding of adolescent consumer, consumer's right and responsibility, reasonable purchase, resolution to consumer problems, and the formation of new consumption culture. Second, significant differences were found in the contents of consumer education among textbooks because basic concepts have been not been clearly defined yet. Third, essential content was either omitted or hard to understand. Thus, some contents elaborations were inappropriate for students' level. Fourth, there were some limitations in drawing interest and attention from learners and developing dispute resolution competence, since the textbooks mainly comprised the theory-oriented contents of consumer education. Fifth, cautious consideration needs to be taken with regards to clear understanding of basic concepts and systematic and consistent contents composition for coherent and organized school consumer education. These research findings are anticipated to provide basic information of Technology Home Economics textbooks to teachers, and will be utilized as basic data in organizing textbook contents or developing efficient teaching-learning programs for consumer education.

영상분류에 의한 하우스재배지 탐지 활용성 분석 (Analyzing the Applicability of Greenhouse Detection Using Image Classification)

  • 농업과 관광이 주요 산업인 제주지역은 소득 증대를 위해 노지재배에서 시설재배로의 전환이 활발하게 진행되고 있으므로 하우스재배지에 대한 지속적인 현황 파악이 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 고해상도 위성영상을 이용하여 하우스재배지 탐지를 위한 효과적인 영상분류 방법을 제시하고자 하였다. Formosat-2 위성영상을 대상으로 감독분류와 규칙기반분류 방법을 적용하여 하우스재배지를 분류하였으며, 두 가지 결과를 연계하여 하우스재배지 탐지를 위한 정확도 향상 방안을 모색하였다. 각 분류 방법별 결과는 육안 탐지 결과와의 비교를 통해 정확도를 산출하였다. 연구 결과, 감독분류 방법 중 마하라노비스 거리법이 가장 높은 탐지 결과를 얻을 수 있었으며 감독분류 결과와 규칙기반분류 결과의 연계 시 탐지 정확도가 향상됨을 확인하였다. 향후 감독분류 결과와 규칙기반분류 결과의 연계 과정에 대한 추가적인 연구가 이루어진다면 하우스재배지의 효율적인 탐지가 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

Growth and Cultural Characteristics of Cordyceps cardinalis Collected from Korea

  • Cordyceps cardinalis was reported in Japan and the USA in 2004, and its fruiting bodies have recently been cultured in Korea. Herbarium specimens preserved at the Cordyceps Research Institute, Mushtech, Korea were revised and identified as C. cardinalis, based on morphological characters and conidial structures. Most of the C. cardinalis specimens were collected from Mt. Halla in Jeju-do. The effects of various nutritional sources and environmental conditions such as temperature and pH on mycelial growth of C. cardinalis were studied. Oatmeal agar, Martin's peptone dextrose agar, and Schizophyllum (mushroom) genetics complete medium plus yeast extract resulted in the best mycelial growth. Among carbon sources, cereals, and nitrogen sources, maltose, oatmeal, and peptone resulted in the best mycelial growth respectively. Mineral salts helped to increase growth rate but only resulted in thin mycelial density, similar to water agar. A temperature of $25^{\circ}C$ and a pH of 7 resulted in the highest mycelial growth. Based on these results, a Cordyceps cardinalis composite medium (CCM) was formulated with 1% maltose, 2% oatmeal, 1% peptone, and 2% agar. Use of the CCM resulted in slightly better mycelial growth than that of other commonly used agar media. Only organic nitrogen sources imparted a reddish pigmentation to the agar media, but this character diminished after several subcultures. A 7 day culture duration resulted in the best mycelial growth.

망아지의 개방요막관과 관련된 다발성 농양 증례 (A Case of Multiple Abscesses Associated with Patent Urachus in a Thoroughbred Foal)

  • The most common abnormality of the umbilicus in the foal is the patent urachus. Patent urachus may be a congenital or acquired condition in foals in which the urachus fails to close spontaneously at or shortly after parturition. A 17-day-old male Thoroughbred foal was requested to the Veterinary Pathology Laboratory of Cheju National University. The foal showed clinical signs such as umbilical urination, anorexia, depression, lethargy, and abdominal pain for 10 days. Because of the umbilical urination, the surgery for patent urachus was performed, but he died next day. Grossly, many pale yellowish foci 10-20 mm in diameter were scattered on the throughout surface of lungs. Severe subcapsular hemorrhage was observed in left kidney. Large milky yellow mass 10X6-7 cm in size was found in the adjacent area of right kidney. Histopathologically, many abscesses with bacterial cocci were scattered in the blood vessels or adjacent pulmonary parenchyma of lungs. Severe numerous abscesses with intralesional bacterial cocci were mostly occupied in the abdominal mass from right kidney. Gram staining for tissue sections demonstrated numerous Gram positive cocci in pulmonary and abdominal abscesses. In bacterial culture, catalase-positive beta-hemolytic colonies were isolated and confirmed as Staphylococcus (S.) aureus by Vitek system. Based on the results, acquired patent urachus and then multiple abscesses may be originated from the umbilical cord infected with S. aureus in this foal.

편백나무 잎 추출물 및 편백나무 잎과 꼭두서니 추출물로 염색한 견직물의 표면색 및 기능성 (Surface Color and Functionality of Silk Dyed with Extract from Chamaecyparis obtusa and Mixture Extracts from Chamaecyparis obtusa and Rubia tinctorum)

  • This study finds surface color and functions of natural dyeing from Chamaecyparis obtusa leaves which help cure skin problems such as atopic dermatitis. This study also seeks to find dyeing properties and functions of natural colorants derived from Chamaecyparis obtusa and Rubia tinctorum on silk. Dyeing properties and functions are compared between silks dyed with Chamaecyparis obtusa and silks composite-dyed with Chamaecyparis obtusa and Rubia tinctorum. The comparison examines the feasibility of developing healthy and high functional fabrics and wellness of fashion merchandises. Silk dyeing with Chamaecyparis obtuse leaves yields yellow and double coloring from Chamaecyparis obtusa; however, Rubia tinctorum yields yellow/red on silks. Silks dyed with Chamaecyparis obtusa and silks composite-dyed with Chamaecyparis obtusa and Rubia tinctorum show a high level on dry cleaning, ultraviolet protection and deodorization. Especially, the dyed silks from leaves of Chamaecyparis obtusa show a 99.7% antimicrobial effect against staphylococcus aureus ATCC 653B. Silks composite-dyed with Chamaecyparis obtusa and Rubia tinctorum are better known for medicinal herb for dermatitis, and natural colorant, Rubia tinctorum does not improve significantly functions compared with silks dyed with Chamaecyparis obtusa. However, the dyeing properties improve by composite dyeing. This implies that ways to maximize effects of tie-dyeing technique could be developed.

개구리밥 추출물 및 개구리밥과 곰보배추 혼합 추출물로 염색한 면직물의 염색성 및 기능성 (Dyeing Properties and Functionality of Cotton Dyed with Extract from Spirodela polyrhiza and Mixture Extracts from Spirodela polyrhiza and Salvia plebeia R. Br.)

  • This study looks into the dyeing properties and functionality of cotton fabrics dyed in both the Spirodela polyrhiza extract and the extract resulting from the mixture of Salvia plebeia R. Br. and Spirodela polyrhiza. Since the UV-Vis Spectrum of the methanol extract of Spirodela polyrhiza shows absorption peaks at 256, 268nm, and 345nm, it can be inferred that the compound that Spirodela polyrhiza contains is a flavonoid. In addition, it can also be presumed that, by analyzing the infrared absorption spectrum of Spirodela polyrhiza, the plant contains flavonoid compounds, just like Salvia plebeia R. Br.. The UV protection factors of the cotton fabrics dyed in both the Spirodela polyrhiza extract and the extract from the mixture of Salvia plebeia R. Br. and Spirodela polyrhiza were 50+, presenting outstanding UV protection factors. The deodorization rate of the cotton dyed in the Spirodela polyrhiza extract was between 30 and 120 minutes, and the rate rose from 92% to 97% as time passed. The deodorization rate of the cotton dyed in the extract from the mixture of Salvia plebeia R. Br. and Spirodela polyrhiza increased from 88% to more than 91%. The result also revealed that overall the fastness of color, including color fastness to washing related to change in color, as well as the color fastness to light of the fabric dyed in the extract from the mixture of the two plants improved, compared to the cloth dyed only in Spirodela polyrhiza extract. Furthermore, the antibacterial activity was also strengthened.
