Executive information system (EIS) is a computer-based information system that supports decision makings ana management activities for senior executives. Data warehouse is a database that receives data copies from legacy systems and external data sources. Data warehouse is typically optimized for decision supports and can be an attractive solution for EIS implementation. This paper proposes an architecture for implementing EIS by the use of data warehouse. The architecture consists of ten implementation layers. Interrelationships among these layers are investigated for an effective EIS implementation. An EIS prototype for a real-fife enterprise is implemented to demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed architecture.

This paper attempts to develop a framework for interrelationships among human resources information systems (HRIS), outsourcing, and corporate culture. This research investigates impacts of outsourcing HRIS on corporate culture. In this paper, we hypothesize that outsourcing corporate HRIS is less appealing (1) if the quality of product and customer service matters for a firm, (2) if a firm is concerned with a loss of intellectual property, and (3) if a firm requires maintenance of a distinctive human resource service function that is capable of meeting the challenges of fast changing customer demands in a dynamic business environment. In addition, this study argues companies must be aware of the total costs associated with HRIS before outsourcing its human resource functions. Finally, the impact on employee morale and performance must also be considered By outsourcing HRIS, managers will be able to spend more time and resources dedicated to an employee's professional career development.

Mathematical modeling and simulation of biochemical reaction networks gained a lot of attention recently since it can provide valuable insights into the interrelationships and interactions of genes, proteins and metabolites in a reaction network. A number of attempts have been made for modeling and storing biochemical reaction networks without their dynamical properties but unfortunately storing and efficiently querying of the dynamic (mathematical) models are not yet studied extensively. In this paper, we present a novel nested relational data schema to store a pathway with its dynamic properties. We then show how to make the mapping between this dynamic pathway schema with the corresponding static pathway representation.

In this paper, we develop notions of weak positive dependence, which are weaker than a positive version of negative association (weak association) but stronger than positive orthant dependence by arguments similar to those of Shaked. We also illustrate some concepts of a particular interest. Various properties and interrelationships are derived.

본 연구에서는 한미간 경기동향의 선행성을 주가와 경기간 선행성과 연계시켜 검정해 보았다. 이들의 선후행관계는 외환위기 이후 선명히 식별되며, 이때의 벡터자기회귀모형은 국내외 시장변수들간 연관성이 강화되고 국내경제의 대미의존도가 높아진 현실을 그대로 반영한다. 추정결과는 주가의 경기 선행성과 미국경기의 국내경기 선행성이라는 그간의 통설을 통계적으로 입증하고 있다.

Forecasting of water quality variation is not an easy process due to the complicated nature of various water quality factors and their interrelationships. The objective of this study is to test the applicability of neural network models to the forecasting of the water quality at Dalchun station in Han River. Input data is consist of monthly data of concentration of DO, BOD, COD, SS and river flow. And this study selected optimal neural network model through changing the number of hidden layer based on input layer(n) from n to 6n. After neural network theory is applied, the models go through training, calibration and verification. The result shows that the proposed model forecast water quality of high efficiency and developed web-based water quality forecasting system after extend model

This paper will discuss three different ways of framing relationships between identity and built forms mainly through the theoretical frame works of David Harvey, Christine M. Boyer, Jane M. Jacobs, Doreen Massey, Paul Rabinow, and Michel Foucault. From these scholars, this paper will argue the relationships between identity and built forms are categorized as such: "Becoming", "Politics of Difference", and "Construction of Self". Besides these three approaches of framing identity and built forms, relevant ideas will be drawn from the work of other scholars in so far as their theoretical positions relate and support these three key frameworks. To approach the critical points of each debate, these three categories are further analyzed by juxtaposing the epistemological positions between them. Through the comparisons, this paper illustrates the interrelationships and interdependence of these three categories whose discursive power gains rapid popularity in Western scholarships. By incorporating the three ways to view the relationship between built form and the identity of social groups, drawn is a suggestion for a broader imagining of new spatial identity.

Cognitive map is used for structuring and analyzing complex and unstructured decision environments, and it is a tool for graphically representing interrelationships among a variety of factors. It is a representation of the subjective perception of individual decision maker. Usually it is constructed by a number of experts at group level. This paper presents the technique of building an accurate cognitive map through several tests about the preliminary generated one. This paper also proposes an approach for aggregating the causal intensities of multiple experts.

The intra-annual and interannual variations of total, high, middle, low clouds, and cloud forcing net solar radiation flux, cloud forcing net long-wave radiation flux, and SSTs over the tropical oceans are investigated with the use of ISCP D2, NCEP/NCAR Reanalysis for January 1983-December 1993. The intra-annual variation of total cloudiness is dominated by high and middle clouds in the western Pacific and central tropical oceans, the interannual variation of total cloudiness is also dominated by high and middle clouds in the central Pacific and Atlantic. The dominant intra-annual and interannual EOFs of total cloudiness have spatially coherent link with those SSTs. For the interannual EOFs, total cloudiness and SSTs are related to E1 nino-Southern Oscillation(ENSO). The second most important intra-annual EOFs of total cloudiness are related to Inter Tropical Convergence Zone(ITCZ). The third most important intra-annual EOFs show coherent relation in the western Pacific. The correlation analysis between cloud radiative effects and SSTs show spatially coherent relation over the tropical oceans even though cloud forcing cooling effect is much higher than heating effect.

In this paper, we introduce a new notions of conditionally weak dependence and we study their properties, preservation of the conditionally weak independent and positive and negative quadrant dependent(CWQD) property under mixtures, limits, closure under convex combinations, and their interrelationships. Furthermore, we extend multivariate stochastic dependence to stronger conditions of dependence.
