The purpose of this study was to investigate the reliability and the validity of the Korean Occupational Stress Scale(KOSS) in occupational therapists. The data were collected from 214 occupational therapists by using the Korean Occupational Stress Scale. The gathered data were conducted the factor analyses and validation process to ascertain the validity. The results of this study suggested that to estimate occupational stress of occupational therapist, modified version of the KOSS which was consist of eight subscales might be more an appropriate measurement scale than the original version of the KOSS which was composed of seven subscales. Eight subscales of the scale were occupational climate, organizational system, insufficient job control, lack of reward, job demand, interpersonal conflict, job ability and job insecurity, and out of these, job ability was newly added for occupational therapist. Also the results indicated that Cronbach's alpha score of this measurement tool was 0.84, and it means that internal consistency of this scale has good reliability, and the number of questions are also valid. This study has significance to suggest necessary psychometric characteristics of the occupational stress scale for job stress study in occupational therapist.
The purpose of this study is to find the correlation between elements of resilience and small group activities in the university, and to explore small group activities as a protective and a positive factor in controlling the stress of college students. As the first part of the study, positive roles of resilience to the stress of college students and the elements that promote the efficiency of resilience are analyzed. The study precedent in detail and four elements of resilience are presented as following; optimistic realism, vitality, ability to control emotion, and interpersonal ability, addressing the faith in God is one of the strong positive factors for developing resilience. Then, this study deals with how the four elements of resilience relates to the characteristics of small group activities. In conclusion, this study suggests Christian universities to develop small group activities because they can develop each of the four elements of resilience of college students. Christian universities have a missional duty and the responsibility to help college students experience real happiness in their lives. Therefore, if Christian universities understand the effectiveness of resilience of college students and find out the correlation between resilience and faith, they can help students not only to live a positive life in their generation, but also to experience the authentic happiness.
Knowledge management system is crucial for increasing organizational performance. However, despite this importance of knowledge management system, many companies fail to facilitate individual employees' knowledge sharing. One of reasons for this failure is the lack of consideration of how individual employees' characteristics and their interpersonal relationship influence on individual-level knowledge sharing. To explain individual-level knowledge sharing, this study investigates the mechanism that employees engage in knowledge sharing activities with their coworkers from the social exchange perspective. We have two purposes of study. First, we examine whether coworker's task-related help seeking affects employee's knowledge sharing with them. Second, we investigate the influence of help-seeker' characteristics as moderators on the relationship between task-related help seeking and knowledge sharing. Specifically, we considered coworker's maladjustment, LMX, and ability as moderators. Our analysis of 192 employees shows that the main effect of coworker's task-related help seeking on knowledge sharing is not significant. However, coworker's maladjustment and LMX moderate the relationship between task-related help seeking and knowledge sharing. The positive relationship between task-related help seeking and knowledge sharing is stronger when help seeker's maladjustment is high than when it is low. And the positive relationship between task-related help seeking and knowledge sharing is weaker when help seeker's LMX is high than when LMX is low. The results of this study have theoretical implications that enrich our understanding of individual-level knowledge sharing, and managerial implications that suggest employees' appropriate attitudes to facilitate knowledge sharing in a coworker relationship.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to examine correlation between subjective oral health status and oral-related appearance satisfaction of college students. 100 college students at a college located in Gyeonggi-do participated in the survey, oral examinations, and self-rated oral hygiene management ability tests. The data was then analyzed accordingly. Methods: Frequency test and chi-square statistical analysis were conducted on general characteristics and subjective oral health status, and SAS version 9.2 was used. Results: As a result of this study, students' subjective perceptions about oral health had positive correlation with oral-related appearance(p <0.05). It is noteworthy that those who responded on 'satisfactory' oral health status indicated that 16% 'unsatisfactory', 28% 'average' and 68% 'satisfactory' on oral-related appearance. Students' self-rated oral hygiene management ability and irregular teeth conditions were also found relevant in causing discomfort in interpersonal activities, whereas students responded 'satisfactory', 0.00%; 'average', 31.82%; 'unsatisfactory' 68.18% (p <0.05). Conclusion: This study suggests that oral-related appearance can have an impact on oral health status and that oral-related appearance can be a contributing factor to improve oral health status and therefore results in promotion of general health. In the future, further research should be considered about perception on oral-related appearance, oral health status and any resulting behavior changes.
This study determined the correlation between College Life in Freshmen critical thinking disposition; problem solving process. It also examined the impact of critical thinking disposition on problem solving process. The data was collected from 215 Freshmen members. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, scheffe test, pearson correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed. Results: In critical thinking disposition, there were significants differences in age, interpersonal relationships. In multiple regression analysis, critical thinking disposition and major satisfaction were significants factors of problem process ability explaining 38% Conclusion: To enhance problem process ability for freshmen, it is necessary to develop teaching program and curriculum.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop and evaluate learning effects of the key competency improvement program which is based in nursing and social welfare fields demanding analysis for nursing and social welfare among university freshmen. Method: The program was based on the ADDIE model. The field demanding analysis gave a questionnaire to 459 participants in the nursing and social welfare workplace. The subjects of this study were 136 students as an experimental group and 116 students as a control group which participated in the questionnaire. The experimental group was given a newly developed program, on the other hand, the control group was given traditional lessons. Collected data were analyzed by ANCOVA with SPSS. Result: The result of this study was that linkage perception of health and welfare, self-directed learning ability, participation perception, and interpersonal relationship ability showed significant improvement in the experimental group. Conclusion: This study can be used as basic data for management and evaluation of programs that are available not only to field-oriented disciplines but also to overall higher education fields which aim to strengthen core competency.
The purpose of this study is to the relation between the focusing manner and clinical competence and to determine the effect of the focusing manner on clinical competence. In December 2018, data were collected from 189 university students in the nursing department and analyzed using a multiple regression. As a result, major satisfaction and focusing manner of nursing university students were identified as major factors influencing clinical competence. In particular, 'expressing', a sub-factor of the focusing manner, had a significant effect on the sub-factors of clinical competence ability, 'nursing process, nursing skill, teaching and cooperation, interpersonal relationships and communication, and professional development', and explanatory power was 15.7%~19.9%. Therefore, during the undergraduate course, it is suggested that university students in the nursing department actively develop teaching-learning methods along with the development of a program to improve 'the ability to express appropriately for the situation'.
The purpose of this study was to develop and validate the communication ability scale of the members in the youth counseling organization. The subjects were 131 counselors, social workers, and managers working in youth counseling and welfare centers and exploratory factor analysis and correlation Analysis was performed by using SPSS 12.0 and Confirmatory factor analysis was performed using the AMOS 20.0 program for Scale Validation. As the result, it was to validate and consist of 2 factors as 8 official communication questions and 8 informal communication questions. The reliability of the total 14 questions was secured through internal consistency. In order to confirm the validity of this scale, It analyzed the correlation with another interpersonal communication ability scale. It is expected that the developed scale in the research will help to carry out research related to communication in children and adolescents related counseling institutions.
The aim of this study was to use narrative inquiry to explore the experiences of medical students who faced expulsion, military service, and readmission, and their journeys of identity formation. Three medical students were recruited via snowball sampling, and each participant was interviewed twice. According to the sequence of experiences, their stories were summarized as follows: the process of being expelled, the military service experience and readmission process, and the present. Before all three students were expelled, they lived dissolute lives free of concern from the entrance examination and failed to cope well with dropping out. They felt that military experience had helped them develop interpersonal skills in the clinical setting and the strength to withstand a difficult crisis. Two students were motivated to become doctors after military service, but the other was not. They had reflected deeply over their unique experiences. The scars imprinted from their experiences became a means of stimulation, and they ultimately acquired the resilience and ability to accommodate for and counteract their weaknesses. This appears to have been an important influence on their identity formation. The narrations of their rare experiences can help medical educators more fully understand and support medical students through difficulties, specifically with regard to academic failure or expulsion. These findings may prompt medical professors to think about the kind of guidance or motivation that could help students before expulsion, rather than assuming that they are simply lacking academic ability.

Purpose : This study aimed to investigate the effects of health science majors' communication skills on their adjustment to college life. Methods : The subjects were 336 college students majoring in health science at colleges located in Busan. The survey's questionnaire comprised 38 items, including 15 items for communication skills and 19 items for adjustment to college life. Results : In the gender-based comparison of communication skills and adjustment to college life, female students had better communication skills, with overall higher scores than male students for the understanding others and communication. In the age-based comparison of communication skills and adjustment to college life, students aged 21 to 22 showed the best communication skills, while students aged 18 to 20 exhibited the least communication skills. In terms of adjustment to college life, those aged 25 or older scored the highest, and those aged 21 to 22 scored the lowest. In the school-year-based comparison of communication skills and adjustment to college life, third- and first-year students showed the best and least communication skills, respectively. Overall, third- and fourth-year students were more adjusted at adjusting to college life than first- and second-year students. Third-year students also scored the highest in academic adjustment, whereas second-year students scored the lowest. In terms of relationships between the students' communication skills and their adjustment to college life, communication skills were positively correlated with the following subdomains: understanding of others, self-expression, and communication. Communication skills also showed a positive correlation with adjustment to the college environment, including personal-emotional adjustment. Conclusions : The present study found that communication skills did not significantly affect health science majors' adjustment to college life. However, given that communication skills are an essential factor for effective work performance and greater job satisfaction, it is recommended that colleges provide students with relevant education and experiences to help them enhance communication skills while in school.
