A Study on the Revision Process Improvement Plan through the Analysis of the Current Status of the Academic Standard Classification System and Issues

  • There are the national science and technology standard classification system used in Korea, the classification according to the standard classification system for educational organization units, and the Korean standard education classification by the National Statistical Office. It is not suitable for calculation or evaluation, and classification is still mixed depending on the purpose of use. Therefore, in this study, the current status of academic standard classification, issues related to the standard classification system such as research foundation associations and research institutes, and issues related to the academic standard classification through the analysis of existing prior research issues, etc. As a result of the research, first, it is necessary to maintain and strengthen the linkage of the academic classification system, such as maintaining the linkage between the relevant departmental classification systems and strengthening the linkage with the relevant classification system, as a result of analysis of major issues in the academic standard classification system, and the systematic improvement cycle of the revision process and management system and settings are required.

의료기사의 의료인 종별 포함에 관한 기초조사 연구: 한국, 일본, 대만을 중심으로 (Basic Study on the Inclusion of Medical Technologists in the Type of Medical Personnel: Focus on Korea, Japan, and Taiwan)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 의료기사를 의료인 종별에 포함시키는 것에 대한 기초 자료를 제시하는 것이다. 의료법에서 의료인을 의사, 치과의사, 한의사, 조산사, 간호사로 정의한다. 의료기사는 임상병리사, 방사선사, 물리치료사, 작업치료사, 치과기공사, 치과위생사로 구분한다. 한국은 의료인에 의료기사를 포함하지 않지만 일본과 대만은 의료인으로 규정하고 있다. 국제표준직업분류(ISCO-08), 한국표준직업분류(KSCO-2017), 일본표준직업분류(JSOC-2009), 대만표준직업분류(TSOC-2010), 미국표준직업분류(SOC-2018) 등의 다양한 표준직업분류를 비교하였다. 의료기사 교육체계는 4년제 대학과 3년제 전문대학 프로그램을 포함하는 것으로 설명하였다. 의료행위, 치료, 진료보조 분야에서 의료기사의 역할을 개략적으로 설명했다. 이러한 기초자료는 의료기사의 의료인 종별 포함의 의미에 대한 논의의 필요성과 의료인 종별 포함과 관련하여 의료기사의 전문성의 합법화에 기여할 것이다.

Is Educational Level Linked to Unable to Work Due to Ill-health?

  • Background: This study aimed to examine the association between educational level and unable to work due to ill-health (UWdIH) among 30- to 79-year-old South Koreans. Methods: A cross-sectional nationwide survey of the 2010-2016 Korea National Health and Nutritional Evaluation Survey was used for analyses. A total of 29,930 participants aged ≥30 and < 80 years, who do not have any disability in their daily life because of health problems, were included. Educational level and reason for nonworking are self-reported with multiple choices. Multivariate logistic regression was used to examine an association between education level and UWdIH by setting those who graduated college as their final education (n = 6,997) as a baseline while controlling for potential confounding factors. Results: In the age-stratified result, the ratio of UWdIH was increased as age increases in 3 educational groups (p < .0001). There was a tendency that low-level educated [International Standard Classification of Education (0-2)] participants showed higher ratio of UWdIH than high-level educated [International Standard Classification of Education (5≤)] participants in both sexes (odds ratio: 2.54, 95% confidence interval: 2.12-3.05). Conclusion: There is a clear link between educational level and UWdIH; the less the educated, the more likely to be UWdIH. Policy priority should be given to plans that can help this vulnerable social group to work and enjoy healthy lives.

The Classification of Electrocardiograph Arrhythmia Patterns using Fuzzy Support Vector Machines

  • This paper proposes a fuzzy support vector machine ($FSVM_n$) pattern classifier to classify the arrhythmia patterns of an electrocardiograph (ECG). The $FSVM_n$ is a pattern classifier which combines n-dimensional fuzzy membership functions with a slack variable of SVM. To evaluate the performance of the proposed classifier, the MIT/BIH ECG database, which is a standard database for evaluating arrhythmia detection, was used. The pattern classification experiment showed that, when classifying ECG into four patterns - NSR, VT, VF, and NSR, VT, and VF classification rate resulted in 99.42%, 99.00%, and 99.79%, respectively. As a result, the $FSVM_n$ shows better pattern classification performance than the existing SVM and FSVM algorithms.

A Study on Standard Classification of Disaster•Life Safety Accident Criteria

  • Purpose: Purpose: The National Safety Experience Center Establishment and Reinforcement Project Management Guidelines, established to build a national safety experience center that is central to practicing education on disasters and safety accidents, requires that appropriate experience training programs be in place. However, due to the lack of classification grounds for the six areas of disaster•safety accidents presented by the Ministry of Public Administration and Security, and the mortality statistics necessary for establishing sectors have accumulated for over a decade, they are based on this. Our purpose is to standardize classification of sectors belonging to each area. Methods: We will divide disaster•safety accidents into 6 areas by three steps, and the grounds for 6 areas of accidents are presented. The 15 external causes other than the disease since 2009 has been proposed by The National Statistical Office. Therefore on the basis of these causes, various sectors belonging to each area are classified. Results: We will divide all disaster•safety accidents into six areas through three logical separation stages, and the areas were systematically classified based on the 15 factors of death. In conclusion, we present the grounds for the classification criteria in the six areas, the transportation accident disaster area in three areas, the social infrastructure system area in four areas, the crime accident disaster area in four areas, the life safety accident area in four areas, we set up all disaster•safety accidents in six areas and finally standardize total 25 areas.

한국, 일본, 미국 안과검사인력의 현황 (Current Status of Ophthalmic Optometry Laboratory Personnel in Korea, Japan, and the United States)

  • 국제표준직업분류나 일본·미국의 법률시스템, 양성시스템를 통해서 본 안과검사인력은 안과전문의, 검안사, 시능훈련사, 검안기사, 안과기사가 포함된다. 국가통계포털 자료에 의하면 2022년 안과에 근무하는 안경사의 수는 의료기관 종별에 따라 파악이 가능하지만, 임상병리사의 수는 파악이 불가능하다. 다만, 본 연구를 통해서 상급종합병원의 경우 임상병리사가 안경사보다 많이 근무하는 것으로 조사되었다. 우리나라 안과검사실 인력의 경우 국제표준직업분류, 국제표준교육분류, 의료법, 의료기사 등에 관한 법률 및 고등교육법에 비추어 봤을 때, 미국의 검안사는 비교 대상이 아니며 안과전문의나 검안사의 지도를 받아 업무수행하는 검안기사가 부합되는 직업일 것이다. 민간자격으로 대한안과학회 및 대한검안학회에서 안과검사실에 종사하는 임상병리사 및 안경사에게 '임상검안사'라는 호칭을 부여하여 새로이 자격관리를 정립한다면 국민 안(眼)보건 향상에 더욱 도움이 되리라 생각된다.

인터넷을 통한 건강 상담의 내용 분석 (An Analysis of Health Counseling by the Internet)

  • With the increased use of computers in medical fields, we can consider introducing computer mediated communication into the area of patient care such as medical or health counseling and education. But little was known about what problems can be counseled, what is the main direction of counseling, and what difficulties are met during the computer mediated counseling. So I conducted this study. This is a fundamental study concerning the health counseling by the inter-net. In this study, medical counseling using a method of questioning -answering through a computer mediated communication system was carried out from June 1998 to May 1999. I analyzed the contents of questions and answers by the ICPC classification. The ICPC classification emerged as a standard for information categorization in Primary Health Care within a few years. One of the most prominent features of this classification is the inclusion of the complaints of the patients (symptoms & complaints) and the social problems (Chapter Z). Thus, and for the first time, the demand of patients may be assessed such as it is expressed in the reality. The ICPC list is now an international standard whose validity is not questioned any more. It is translated in more than twenty different languages. The data collected were analyzed by descriptive statistical method, c2 test by cross tabulations. Followings are the results of this study. 1. The 3,054 users composed of 64% of males and 36% of females. The highest number of users was showed in the age group of $25{\sim}29$ (39.4%). 2. During the one-year period, the average number of counseling per user was 2.5 cases and per day was 21.1 cases. 3. In classifying symptoms and complaints by 17 chapter, digestive(17.6%), general and unspecified (12.7%), skin(12.7%) and musculoskeletal system (9.6%) were most common questions. 4. The distribution of diagnosis by 17 chapter, general and unspecified (21.4%), digestive (15.3%), skin (11.9%) and mus- culoskeletal system (8.9%) were most common answers. 5. Many users wanted to know symptoms and complaints(3,609 cases), treatment principles (2,928 cases), prognosis and preventive methods for health problems which were previously diagnosed (284 cases).

Demographics, Social Media Use and Perceived Academic Stress of Secondary School Students in St. Thomas Aquinas College, Akure, Nigeria

  • The study was carried out to investigate the influence of demographics and social media use on perceived academic stress of secondary school students in St. Thomas Aquinas College, Akure, Nigeria. This was achieved using five research questions and four null hypotheses. The population of the study consisted of 1,107 students at ISCED level 3, out of which 286 were selected based on the Israel (2003) model for determining sample size. The Ex-Post Facto (EPT) research design of the correlational type was employed to investigate the study while questionnaire was used for data elicitation. Out of the 286 copies distributed, 192 (67% response rate) were retrieved and analyzed using descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (correlation and multiple regression). The findings revealed that there is high frequency of social media use among secondary school students, majorly for meeting new friends and chatting. The perceived academic stress (PAS) of the students was found to be moderate. Of the three demographics considered, only class had significant influence on PAS. Use of social media did not have significantly influence on PAS of the students. When combined, demographics and social media use predicted PAS; and when considered relatively, of the independent variables, only class as an aspect of demographics predicted PAS. Therefore, the authors concluded that PAS of secondary school students is not directly influenced by demographics (except for class) and social media use. Based on the study's conclusion, recommendations were made.

스포츠 산업 추이에 따른 학점은행제 체육전공 교과과정 운영 현황 및 개선 방향 (Current Status and Improvement Direction of the Curriculum of Physical Education Department Under the Credit Bank System According to the Trend of the Sport Industry)

  • 본 연구는 스포츠 산업 발달에 따른 사회적 변화에 주목하고 이에 부응하는 새로운 체육 교육의 필요성을 인식함에 따라 먼저, 학점은행제 체육계열의 교과과정 운영현황을 파악하고, 나아가 스포츠 산업에서 요구하는 전문인 양성을 위한 교과과정 개선 방안을 모색하였다. 이를 위한 선행 연구로써 스포츠 산업계의 융·복합적인 변화를 반영한 미국 대학의 체육 교과목과 국내 정규대학의 교과목을 조사하였다. 이에 현행 학점은행제 체육계열의 운영실태에 관한 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학점은행제의 정의/학점인정 대상 및 체육계열의 교육훈련기관 조사, 둘째, 체육계열 표준교육과정의 전공별 교육목표 및 자격과 인정학점 현황 조사, 셋째, 체육계열 학위별 교육기관의 유형과 운영 중인 전공 현황 조사, 넷째, 체육계열 교육기관의 지역별 운영기관의 현황 조사, 다섯째, 체육계열의 전공별 세부교과 분류 및 전공별 과목 현황 조사, 여섯째, 체육계열의 전공별 세부교과 및 국·내외 스포츠 산업 교과의 일치·유사 교과목을 비교 분석하였다. 이를 통하여 학점은행제 교과과정의 다음과 같은 개선 방향을 제시하였다. 첫째, 사회변화에 맞춘 전공 교과목을 신설해야 한다. 둘째, 시대적 요구에 부응하는 세부 전공별 필수 및 선택 교과목을 수정, 개발해야 한다. 셋째, 스포츠 산업계의 요구를 충족시킬 수 있는 현장실습 중심의 교과목을 늘려야 한다. 넷째, 학점은행제의 평가인정과 관련하여 제도적 개선이 시급히 이루어져야 한다는 결과를 도출하였다.

우리나라 지방자치단체의 외국인직접투자 증감요인 분해 분석 (Decomposition Analysis of Regional Governments in Foreign Direct Investment Increase or Decrease)

  • 본 연구에서는 우리나라 각 지방자치단체 등지에서 추진하고 있는 외국인직접투자 유치 정책에 기초 정보를 제공한다. 변이-비중 모형(Shift-Share Model)을 이용해 외국인직접투자 유치 실적의 증감 요인은 지역별 각 산업의 분해 요인에 따라 구조적 특징을 파악함으로써 찾을 수 있다. 분석은 2009년을 기준으로 2010년, 2011년 전국(수도권과 비수도권으로 구분)의 외국인직접투자 실적을 비교, 전산업(한국표준산업분류 중분류)에 대해 실시했다. 그 결과는 국가성장효과(NS), 산업구조효과(IM), 지역할당효과(RS)로 구분하여 외국인직접투자 증감요인을 살펴보면 2010년과 2011년 수도권, 비수도권 모두에서 국가성장효과(NS)는 음(-)의 값을 갖고 있었다. 이는 세계경기침체의 여파가 국내 경제에 미치는 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났기 때문인 것으로 분석된다. 산업구조효과(IM)의 경우 수도권은 교육, 문화, 비즈니스 및 교통 등의 발달로 비수도권에 비해 서비스 산업의 발달에 유효한 환경을 가지고 있다. 특히 서비스(음식숙박, 비즈니스서비스업, 문화오락) 부문에서 그 특징을 찾을 수 있었다. 비수도권은 제조업(비금속광물, 전기전자) 등의 부문에서 산업발달의 전후방 연계효과 및 지역적 특징이 큰 역할을 한 것으로 분석된다. 그러나 지역할당효과(RS)에서는 수도권에서 제조업 분야의 금속 및 화공분야에서 경쟁력이 있는 것으로 도출되었다.
