Two modalities of gonadotropin secretion, pulsatile gonadotropin and preovulatory gonadotropin surge, have been identified in the mammals. Pulsatile gonadotropin secretion is modulated by the pulsatile pattern of GnRH release and complex ovarian steroid feedback actions. The neural mechansim that regulates the pulsatile release of GnRH in the hypothalamus is called "GnRH pulse generator". Ovarian steroids, estradiol and progesterone, appear to exert thier feedback effects both directly on the pituitary to modulate gonadotropin release and on a hypothalamic site to modulate GnRH release; estradiol primarily affects the amplitude while progesterone decreases the frequency of the pulsatile GnRH. Steroid hormones are known to affect catecholamine transmission in brain. MBH-POA is richly innervated by NE systems and close apposition of NE terminals and GnRH cell bodies occurs in the MBH as well as in the POA. NE normally facilitates pulsatile LH release by acting through ${\alpha}-receptor$ mechanism. However, precise nature of facilitative role of NE transmission in maintaining pulsatile LH has not been clearly understood. Close apposition of DA and GnRH terminals in ME might permit DA to influence GnRH release. Action of DA transmission probably is mediated by axo-axonic contacts between GnRH and DA fibers in the ME. Dopamine transmission does not normally regulate pulsatile LH release, but under certain conditions, increased DA transmission inhibit LH pulse. Endogenous opioid acts to suppress the secretion of GnRH into hypophysial portal circulation, thereby inhibiting gonadotropin secretion. However, an interaction between endogenenous opioid peptides and gonadotropin release is a complex one which involves ovarian hormones as well. LH secretion appears to be most suppressed by endogenenous opioids during the luteal phase, at a time of elevated progesterone secretion. The arcuate nucleus contains not only cell bodies for GnRH and ${\beta}-endorphin$ but also a dense aborization of fibers suggesting that GnRH release is changed by the interactions between GnRH and ${\beta}-endorphin$ cell bodies within the arcuate nucleus. The frequency and amplitude of pulsatile LH release seem to be increased during the preovulatory gonadotropin surge. Estradiol exerts positive feedback action on the hypothalamo-pituitary axis to trigger preovulatory LH surge. GnRH is also crucial hormonal stimulus for preovulatory LH surge. It is unlikely, however, that increased secretion of GnRH during the preovulatory gonadotropin surge represents an obligatory neural signal for generation of the LH discharge in primates including human. Modulation of preovulatory LH surge by catecholamines has been studied almost exclusively in rats. NE and E may be involved in distinct way to accumulate GnRH in the MBH and its release into the hypophysial portal system during the critical period for LH surge on proestrus in rats. However, the mechanisms whereby augmented adrenergic transmission may facilitate the formation and accumulation of GnRH in the ME-ARC nerve terminals before the LH surge have not been clearly understood.
Herbicidal activities of newly synthesized experimental compound, KSC-13906 [Erythro N-{(4,6-dimethoxy pyrimidin-2-yl)aminocarbgnyl}-2-(2-fluoro-1- hydroxy-n-propyl)benzenesulfonamide, US Patent 5,461,025], were investigated in greenhouse and field for development as a paddy herbicide. KSC-13906 exihibited excellent weeding effects and selectivity to rice under submerged paddy condition in geenhouse. At the application rate of $2.5{\sim}5$ g ai/ha treated on surface of water, KSC-13906 effectively controlled three annual weeds such as Echinochloa crus-galli var. oryzicola. Scirpus juncoides, and Monochoria vaginalis as well as five perennial weeds such as Cyperus serotinus, Sagittaria pygmaea, Eleocharis kuroguwai, Potamogeton distinctus, and S. trifolia. However, there was no effect on Aneilema keisak and Lindernia procumbens. Especially, KSC-13906 effectively controlled Echinochloa crus-galli var. oryzicola at growth stages ranging from pre-emergence to 3-leaf stage. Antagonistic interaction was found between pyrazosulfuron-ethyl and mefenacet, but not between KSC-13906 ana mefenacet. KSC-13906 had high selectivity to transplanted rice, but caused phytotoxic effect on direct-seeded rice when treated before 3-leaf stage. Herbicidal activity of KSC-13906 on the Echinochloa crus-galli var. oryzicola was 7-folds greater than that of pyrazosulfuron-ethyl in terms of relative dose ratio of the herbicides. These results suggest that KSC-13906 possesses selective herbicidal potency in rice.
Despite both the Korean version of and seemed to be the most popular in China, the and the , which localized the same format, differed at least in terms of viewership. Focusing on these two opposing cases, this study examines the characteristics and considerations of the localization transformation through in-depth interviews with experts in China.. As a result, was positive in terms of character diversification and online media interworking effects. However, the experts recognized that factors such as the confusion of character combinations due to frequent change of performers, frequent absences, conservative characteristics of Chinese state broadcasting that emphasized educational contents, and burden of localization due to changes in mission and challenge form each time were negatively affected. On the other hand, lacked the effect of online media interaction and lack of diversity of performers. However, the use of star actors' celebrities, the merits of actors with the characteristics of Chinese historical and cultural spaces, the use of Chinese flavors and fragrances, and similar types of missions and maintaining a stable composition each time favored localized production formats.

In this study, we could improve transmission efficiency of germline chimeras by transfer of gonadal PGCs (gPGCs) cultured in vitro. Of hatched recipient chicks, 301 chickens (141 males and 160 females) were brought up to sexual maturity and these WLs (KOC) were mated with KOCs for testcross, resulting in 27 germline chimeras (15 males and 12 females) identified by black feather color of their progenies. The production efficiency of germline chimera production of experimental groups was observed (P=0.6831). The average transmission efficiency of proven germline chimeras was 0.6 ∼56.5% (15.0% on average). The transmission efficiency of experimental group which were transferred 10-days cultured gPGCs without Ficoll treatment was highest (49.7%) and that of experimental stock which transferred non-cultured gPGCs with Ficoll treatment was lowest (0.6%). The duration of in vitro culture before transferring was significantly important for the high efficiency of germline transmission. Transferring 10-days cultured gPGCs made the transmission efficiency higher rather than transferring non-cultured and 5-days cultured gPGCs, 50 times and 10 times, respectively (p<0.0001). However, Ficoll treatment for increasing the population ratio of gPGCs negatively affected the transmission efficiency and the effects of sexuality and the reciprocal interaction between treatments showed no significant differences. These findings demonstrated that the crucial factors for improving the germline transmission were the duration of in vitro culture prior to transfer. Thus, we developed the complete system for production of germline chimera using cultured gPGCs with highly improved efficiency and this system would be useful for genetic manipulation and obtaining the transgenic aves.

Beat-to-beat changes in heart period (heart period variability, HPV) are mediated by fluctuations in autonomic activity. Spectral analysis is used to quantify such fluctuations in the range of 0.15-0.40 Hz (high frequency, HF), which are influenced primarily by parasympathetic factors. These fluctuations are often referred to as RSA (respiratory sinus arrhythmia), the physiological phenomenon extracted by spectral analysis and other methods including histograms of heart rate ( HR), deviations of HR etc. Respiratory sinus arrhythmia indexing with peak-to-valley method suggested by Grossman et at., (1981) yields a simple range statistic and is quantified on breath-by-breath basis, thus being quite sensitive and less dependent on recording time as compared to spectral analysis. It is strongly recommended to use at least 1 min epoch to asses HF component of HPV and at least 2 min fer low frequency (LF) of HPV and even 5 min far valid clinical assessment. Peak-to-valley statistic is limited to RSA index only, but has its pragmatic advantages. Most important is possibility of its application far relatively small epoch analysis. We used short periods (20,30, 40 sec only) and off-line analysis of RSA using ECG and respiration curve this method of assessment and proved that this method is more practically effective. The RSA index was not so far dependent on respiration pattern differences and reflected actual vagal control of HR and were accompanied by low HR under some high stress conditions and in an aversive affective visual stimulation experiments. Another factor that might modulate cardiac chronotropic response is the interaction of sympathetic and parasympathetic inputs on sino-atrial (SA) node level, because responses to vagal influences are known to be proportional to ongoing sympathetic activity, that is so called accentuated antagonism. Since sympathetic outflow (increment of influences on SA) under negative emotions or stress was high in almost all physiological responses, vagal effects on HR could be therefore potentiated, leading to masking of output cardiac response seen in HPV, In the case of moderate sympathetic activation, on the other hand, autonomic interactions in cardiac control appear to be minimal. Thus RSA index appears to be an effective alternative method to assess and measure spectral HPV.
This study was to examine how visual angle of matrix corresponding to the physical properties of P300 speller and eye gaze corresponding to the user's personal characteristics influence on the accuracy of P300. Visual angle of the matrix was operated as the distance between the user and the matrix and three groups were composed: 60 cm group, 100 cm groups, and 150 cm group. Eye gaze methods was consisted three conditions. Head moving condition was putting eye gaze using head, pupil moving condition was moving pupil with the head fixed, while the eye fixed condition is to fix the eye gaze at the center of the matrix. The results showed that there was significant difference in the accuracy of P300 speller according to the eye gaze method. The accuracy of the head moving condition was higher than the accuracy of pupil moving conditions, accuracy of pupil moving conditions was higher than the accuracy of the eye fixed conditions. However, the effect of visual angle of matrix and interaction effect were not significant. When P300 amplitude of target character was measured depending on how you stare at the target character, P300 amplitude of the head moving condition was greater than P300 amplitude of the pupil moving condition. There was no significant difference in the error distribution in head moving condition and pupil moving condition, while there was a significant difference between two eye gaze conditions and fixed gaze condition. The error was located at the neighboring characters of the target character in head moving condition and pupil moving condition, while the error was relatively distributed widely in fixed eye condition, error was occurred with high rate in characters far away from the center of matrix.
The purpose of this study is to provide basic data to improve the working environment of industrial security workers by analyzing the effects of organizational fairness of workers in industrial security work on silence in workplace and will to adhere to security policy. The data used in this study consisted of a total of 190 respondents. Statistical analysis of correlation and multiple regression analysis was performed using the SPSS 18.0 statistical program, The results of the study are as follows. First, it can be seen that the more silent the workers in the industrial security work are not being treated fairly, the higher the silence in the workplace. Second, the factors of distribution and interaction fairness affect the will to comply with the security policy, so fair distribution and fair treatment of the compensation can increase the willingness of the industrial security worker to adhere to the security policy. Third, it was found that the dominant silent factor influenced the will to adhere to the security policy, and the more the silence about the organization and its job, the lower the will to adhere to the security policy. The results of this study show that organizational fairness and silence in the workplace directly and indirectly influence the willingness to adhere to the security policy.

1. The cell viability was determined by MTT method. Their cytotoxic activities against three cancer cell lines such as A549, MDA-MB-231 and SNU-C4 cell line were tested. Among them, The methanol extract of Saururus chinensis Baill. showed the strongest cytotoxic effect against SNU-C4 cells. These results suggest that the methanol extract of Saururus Chinensis Baill. possessed a potential antitumorous agent. 2. In vitro the antitoxic activity of ethanol extract of Saururus Chinensis Bail on NIH 3T3 fibroblasts was evaluate by the MTT (3-(4,5-dimethyl- thiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl-2H-tetra캐lium bromide) and SRB (sulforhodamine B protein) assays. The number of NIH 3T3 fibroblasts were increased and tend to regenerate. These results suggest that Saururus Chinensis Bail extract retains a potential antitoxic activity. 3. Complexation of Cd (II) ion with ligands such as quercetin has been determined by UV-vis spectrophotometric method in tris buffer solution at various pH. It was found that only 1 : 1 Cd-complex is formed by the interaction between catechol moiety in ring B and cadmium [Cd(II)] in aqueous solution. The spectral parameters for Cd-complex were determined by Beer's law at various pH. It has shown that 1 : 1 Cd-complex has a maximum absorbance and red shift by the alkaline pH.
To evaluate the compatibility in systemic use of 4 kinds of herbicides on both weeds and soybeans, trials were conducted at Coll. Exp. Farm/Jonnam Nat'l. Univ., 1983. Among the experimented 4 herbicides, alachlor or metribuzin were applied at pre-emergence, and followed by postemergence spraying of acifluorfen or bentazon, respectively. All herbicides were applicated at rates of 0, 0.25, 0.5, and 0.75 kg active ingredients per ha. Under the conditions which Echinochloa crusgalli and Digitaria adscendense were dominating, most comprehensive compatibility was found from each rates 0.5 - 0.75 kg/ha at 60 days after crop seeding date. However, slight transient leaf burn was evident at the plots of metribuzin and/or acifluorfen applicated. The positive tendency of herbicide interactions in weeding efficacy was observed from the system in alachlor sequence. However, the results in crop growth and yields at hervest indicate the necessity of higher rates of each herbicides upto 0.75 kg/ha for the consistence weeding efficacies. And more excellent weeding results (crop growth and yields) on crop plants were provided from the plots which applicated by residual type herbicide, namely acifluorfen than bentzaon.

The basilar membrane (BM), one of organs of cochlea, has the specific positions of the maximum amplitude at each of related frequencies. This phenomenon is due to the geometry of BM. In this study, as the part of the research for the development of fully implantable artificial cochlea which is based on polymer membrane, parametric studies are performed to suggest the desirable artificial basilar membrane model which can detect wider range of frequency separation. The vibro-acoustic characteristics of the artificial basilar membrane are predicted through finite element analysis using commercial software Abaqus. Simulation results are verified by comparing with experimental results. Various geometric shapes of the BM and residual stress effects on the BM are investigated through the parametric study to enable a wider detectable frequency separation range.
