A Study on the Analysis of Service-linkage between the u-City and ITS (u-City와 ITS의 서비스 연관성 분석에 관한 연구)

  • Ubiquitous City (u-City) and Intelligent Transport System (ITS) provide services, which are different from each other yet have close relation to each other partially. Thus, since a redundancy issue occurs or it is difficult to efficiently provide services depending on the relation degree, it is required to analyze the relation of services between the two systems and to elicit a priority. A table of relation among the services was created and the relation degree was analyzed by performing a survey for experts. As a result of calculating the total marks by accumulating and summing up the survey results, the incident management service and u-accident/calamity and disaster service of the ITS had the lowest value. The project priority was as follows: The basic principle of the project was that services with high relation degrees shall be worked on first. The services were categorized in each step and packaging the services could result in the synergy effect. This study is significant since it analyzed the relation degree between u-City and ITS and proposed schemes for efficiently working on the project by eliciting the priority of the services based on the analysis results.

Design and Implementation of Advanced Traffic Monitoring System based on Integration of Data Stream Management System and Spatial DBMS

  • The real-time traffic data is generated continuous and unbounded stream data type while intelligent transport system (ITS) needs to provide various and high quality services by combining with spatial information. Traditional database techniques in ITS has shortage for processing dynamic real-time stream data and static spatial data simultaneously. In this paper, we design and implement an advanced traffic monitoring system (ATMS) with the integration of existed data stream management system (DSMS) and spatial DBMS using IntraMap. Besides, the developed ATMS can deal with the stream data of DSMS, the trajectory data of relational DBMS, and the spatial data of SDBMS concurrently. The implemented ATMS supports historical and one time query, continuous query and combined query. Application programmer can develop various intelligent services such as moving trajectory tracking, k-nearest neighbor (KNN) query and dynamic intelligent navigation by using components of the ATMS.

  • The MICE(Meeting, Incentive travel, Convention, and Exhibition) industry grows steadily. Especially, exhibition industry plays an important role as the effective sales and marketing tools. However, lots of studies have focused on the flow analysis of audience traffic, booth recommendation or formulaic interactions between audiences and contents in the exhibition hall. In this study, we proposed an intelligent Interactive system considering audience's response for providing personalized exhibition service. First, we extracted components of the system architecture through the previous studies. Second, we suggested the system architecture and scenarios for intelligent interactions between audiences and contents. We hope that the proposed system will strengthen the basis for implementing interactive system in the exhibition industry.

  • This paper describes a mechanism and its aspects for monitoring user actions and behaviors on the web operated under the layered architecture that utilizes intelligent agents, and by which personalized information services, for instance one-to-one marketing, is easily facilitated and developed. Intelligent agent is one of techniques which enables to automate the whole process for providing personalized services that includes monitoring, logging a user actions and analyzing behaviors based on his or her profiles, and then selecting, organizing customizable contents which are at last delivered to the users browser or mail box also by intelligent agents. Monitoring technologies can utilize to help better construct the process in providing personalized services in that those services require intelligence in operating. As a result, implementing effective personalized services, however, depends on how well to define various users interests and needs, and how correctly to detect and log the actions when hey are done by users.

  • The era of intelligent transportation system(ITS) has been arrived by applying information and communication technology(ICT) to the traffic. One of these technological advances is a wireless communication technology for a high speed vehicle to be connected to an infrastructure(V2I). A variety of road traffic safety services and operator comfort services are being developed by means of WAVE(Wireless Access in a Vehicular Environment) based on IEEE802.11p Standard. In this paper, the link budget is analyzed to provide a reliable quality of these ITS services. Log-distance model and two-ray model is employed for the wave propagation path loss model which is adequate for a highway environment. Reliable cell coverage is suggested for ITS services from the link budget.

  • Medical domain is very applicable for multi-agent system because medical information systems need much knowledge and close relationship with medical staff, In this paper, we describe design and implementation of an intelligent medical multi-agent platform that provides medical images'information services. This platform supports a physical environment that medical agents can be deployed following FIPA(Foundation for Intelligent Physical Agent)\`s agent management reference model. To use a variety of components on Windows, COM(Common Object Model) interfaces and XML(extensible Markup Language) for encoding ACL(Agent Communication Language) are used for multi-agent communications. Since many kinds of diverse and close relationships with medical staff) are essential, a medical staff is conceptualized as an agent and integrated with multi-agent systems. Also it provides an infrastructure applicable to share necessary knowledge between human agents and software agents in order to make intelligent medical information services easier.

  • The government is pursuing plans to create new e-government services. In terms of improving business procedures, dBrain (finance), e-people (personnel), and Onnara (electronic payment and business management) have achieved considerable results, and are currently making efforts to improve existing administrative services using newly emerged ICT. Among them, this paper attempted to study whether self-learning-based intelligent administrative services are efficient in the work process of public officials promoting actual work and affect their continued use. Based on individual perceptions and attitudes toward advanced ICTs such as AI, big data, and blockchain, public officials' influences on administrative services were identified and verified using UTAUT variables. They believe that the establishment and introduction of innovative administrative services can be used more efficiently, and they have high expectations for the use and provision of services as ICT develops. In the future, a model will be also applied to citizens

  • Broadcasting services using Internet and Internet protocol have been developed actively. In this paper, push service technologies based on tunneling protocol and for the case of base stations using private IP addresses are proposed. This could be very proper to the broadcasting services for location & traffic information and disaster relief.

  • According as IT environment changes from client/server system to the open system based on web service technologies, the exchange of data and services between independent applications and service servers in web environment is observed Recently. In this points, it is necessary that Geographic Information Systems, Spatial Imagery Information Systems, Intelligent Transportation Systems, and Global Navigation Satellite Systems based on the location and geometry information are inter-related each other. But, the inter-relation of these systems is very difficult because of the closed system architecture, different information format, and the absence of interoperability technologies. In this Paper, we describe 4S integration system based web service technologies that accept the international standard as WFS, WCS, WRS of OGC (OpenGIS Consortium) and UDDI, SOAP, WSDL of W3C. In detail, we study the system architecture design and implementation of traffic information service, routing service, and tracing service. These services are consisting of the data schema based on XML and GML, various functions of each layered service, each server platform, and web server. Specially, we represent that GML is being applied to a wide range of location-based services, telematics, and intelligent transportation
