시설보호아동과 일반아동의 정서지능과 자아존중감의 특성 및 상호관계 (A Comparison between Institutionalized Children and At-Home Children on Emotional Intelligence and Self-Esteem)

  • This study compared institutionalized children with at home children regarding characteristics of emotional intelligence and self-esteem, and the relationship between the two. The participants of this study were 62 institutionalized children and 98 children reared at home, residing in an undisclosed city. Major findings of this study were as follows. First, the institutionalized children had a lower level of self-esteem and emotional intelligence than children at home. Second, the relationship between self-esteem and emotional intelligence was significantly different between institutionalized and at-home children. Third, in case of institutionalized children, ‘other-regulation and self-expression’ among the emotional intelligence factors was the strongest predictor of ‘scholastic competence’ among self-esteem factors. In contrast, for the at-home children, ‘other-regulation and self-expression’ among the emotional intelligence factors was the strongest predictor of ‘social acceptance’ among self-esteem factors.

응급구조학과 학생의 도덕지능과 내부공익신고 의도와의 관계 (A study on the moral intelligence and whistleblowing intent)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to evaluate ethical ability among paramedic students by analyzing their moral intelligence and whistle-blowing intention. Methods: Data from 117 paramedic students were collected from September 7 - 14, 2015. The questionnaire measured the level of moral intelligence (7 components, 41 items) and whistle-blowing intention (8 items) of paramedic students. Results: The mean score of moral intelligence was 3.07 (${\pm}0.28$) and that of whistle-blowing intention was 3.13 (${\pm}0.42$). Moral intelligence and whistle-blowing intention showed a significantly positive correlation with each other (r = .328, p <.001). Conclusion: It is desirable to introduce moral education contents and methods for paramedic students in order to enhance their moral intelligence and whistle-blowing intention.

아버지의 사회.정서지능 및 행복감의 차이 (Differences of Young Children's Emotional Intelligence and Happiness according to the Socioeconomic Status of their Fathers)

  • 본 연구는 아버지의 사회 경제적 지위에 따라 교사가 지각한 유아의 행복감 및 정서지능이 차이가 있는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 5세 104명과 6세 160명, 총 264명 유아들을 대상으로 그들의 아버지의 사회 경제적 지위, 학력, 소득수준, 직업을 조사하였고, 담임교사에 의해 그들의 정서지능 및 행복감이 측정되었다. 자료 처리는 아버지의 학력, 소득수준 및 직업에 따른 유아의 정서지능 및 행복감의 차이와 유아의 정서지능 및 행복감에 대한 사회 경제적 지위 간의 상호작용 효과가 있는지를 알아보기 위해 다변량 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구결과는 첫째, 유아의 정서지능은 아버지의 학력, 소득수준 및 직업에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 유아의 행복감은 아버지의 학력, 소득수준 및 직업에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였다. 이러한 본 연구의 결과는 유아의 정서지능 및 행복감을 예측하는데 아버지의 사회 경제적 지위, 즉 학력, 소득수준, 직업이 주요 변인이라는 것을 시사한다.

의대생들의 성적과 학업동기 및 다중지능의 관계분석 (The Relationship among the Learning Motivation, the Characteristics of Multiple Intelligence and Academic Achievement in Medical School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship among medical students' learning motivation, characteristics of multiple intelligence, and academic achievement. The participants were 144 medical students. The data were collected by administering learning motivation tests (self-confidence, self-efficacy, level of task, emotion of learning, learning behavior, failure tolerance, task difficulty, and academic self-efficacy), a multiple intelligence test (linguistic intelligence, logical-mathematical intelligence, musical intelligence, bodily-kinesthetic intelligence, spatial intelligence, interpersonal intelligence, intrapersonal intelligence, and naturalistic intelligence), and two semesters of grades. There is a correlation between multiple intelligences and learning motivation. Among academic self-efficacy of academic motivation, the self-control efficacy (0.28) and behavior (0.18) subscales are significantly positively correlated with academic achievement. However, the emotion subscale (-0.18) was significantly negatively correlated. Learning motivation was correlated with two of the eight multiple intelligence profiles: the intrapersonal intelligence (0.18) and bodily-kinesthetic intelligence (-0.19). The structural equation modeling analysis showed that the behavior and self-control efficacy subscales of intrapersonal intelligence had an impact on academic achievement. An analysis according to the academic achievement group showed significant differences in self-control efficacy and emotion subscales with intrapersonal intelligence. A positive relationship can be observed between learning motivation and some characteristics of multiple intelligence of medical school students. In light of the findings, it is worth examining whether we can control medical students' learning motivation through educational programs targeting self-control efficacy and intrapersonal intelligence.

Exercise Self-Efficacy as a Mediator between Goal-Setting and Physical Activity: Developing the Workplace as a Setting for Promoting Physical Activity

  • Background: Physical activity (PA) is ranked as a leading health indicator and the workplace is a key setting to promote PA. The purpose of this study was to examine how goal-setting and exercise self-efficacy (SE) during a health promotion program influenced PA level among Japanese workers. Methods: Using a cross-sectional study design, we surveyed 281 employees. The short version of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire was used to assess PA level. Exercise SE was assessed using a partially modified version of Oka's exercise SE scale. Personal goals were assessed as the total numbers of "yes" responses to five items regarding "details of personal goals to perform PA". A mediational model was used to examine whether exercise SE mediates between the number of personal goals and PA level. Results: The mean age of the participants was 46.3 years, 76.2% were men, and the most common occupational category was software engineer (30.6%). The average PA level per week exceeded the recommended level in 127 participants (45.2%). One hundred and eighty-four participants (65.5%) set some form of concrete personal goal to perform PA. The relationship between the number of personal goals and PA level was mediated by exercise SE. Conclusion: Our study showed that exercise SE mediates goal-setting and increases PA. The results suggest that the components of PA promotion programs should be tailored to enhance participants' confidence in performing PA.

초등학생의 컴퓨터 게임 중독과 충동성, 공격성 및 감성지능과의 관계 (The Relationship between Computer Game Addiction and the Impulsiveness, Aggression, and Emotional Intelligence of Elementary School Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to find which variables among impulsiveness, aggression, and emotional intelligence can predict the game addiction of elementary school students best. Method: We conducted the present study during the period from April 15, 2004 through June 5, 2004. The subjects of this study were elementary school students chosen from three elementary schools in the Daejeon area. The subjects were selected randomly from 4th, 5th, and 6th graders in those schools. The number of subjects selected was 601. The measurement tools used were the general information questionnaire, computer game addiction scales, impulsiveness scales. aggression scales, and emotional intelligence scales. The data was analyzed using the SPSS statistics program. Results: The mean score of the students was 49.94 on the computer game addiction scale. 56.17 on the impulsiveness scale, 141.19 on the aggression scale, while the mean score of the students on the emotional intelligence scale was 162.78. Various factors were significantly different in the levels of computer game addiction: grade (F=7.343. p=.000). sex (t=6.352. p=.000), school record (F=4.263. p=.004), parents' computer use (F=4.097. p= .008), history of playing games (F=10.739. p=.000), frequency of playing games (F=61.254. p=.000). and number of computer game titles (F=61.673. p= .004). The computer game addiction had significant correlations with impulsiveness (r= .401. p=.000), aggression (r=.612. p=.000). and emotional intelligence (r=.536, p=.000). All three factors of impulsiveness, aggression, and emotional intelligence affected the level of game addiction. Among these factors. the aggression affected the level of addiction the most. Conclusion: These results will help the development of a systematic program for the prevention and treatment of computer game addiction by clarifying the effects of the computer game addiction upon the elementary school students' impulsiveness, aggression, and emotional intelligence.

호스피스 자원봉사자의 직무 스트레스와 감성지능 간의 관계 (Occupational Stress and Emotional Intelligence in Hospice Volunteers)

  • 목적: 본 연구는 호스피스 자원봉사자의 직무 스트레스 정도를 파악하고 직무 스트레스와 감성지능의 관계를 확인함으로써 호스피스 자원봉사자의 스트레스 감소를 위한 중재 프로그램 개발에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 시행되었다. 방법: 본 연구는 B 광역시에 소재하는 2개의 상급종합병원과 4개의 종합병원에서 6개월 이상 호스피스 자원봉사자로 근무하고 있는 봉사자 중 연구에 대한 설명을 듣고, 서면으로 동의한 봉사자 158명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구대상자의 일반적 특성, 자원봉사활동 특성, 직무 스트레스, 감성지능을 조사하였다. 자료는 IBM SPSS 18.0을 이용하여 기술통계, t-검정, ANOVA 및 Pearson correlation coefficients를 이용하여 분석하였다. 결과: 직무 스트레스는 2.16점이고 감성지능은 4.65점으로 측정되었다. 호스피스 자원봉사자의 직무 스트레스와 감성지능은 교육수준과 월수입에 따라 차이가 있었다(r=-0.196, P=0.013). 결론: 호스피스 자원봉사자의 직무 스트레스는 교육수준, 월수입과 감성지능에 따라 차이를 보였다. 따라서 호스피스 자원봉사자가 환자와 가족에게 돌봄을 제공하고 팀의 일원으로 활동할 수 있도록 정기적인 교육을 제공하고 정서적 지지를 제공할 수 있는 지지체계가 마련되어야 할 것이다.

간호대학생의 감성지능, 대인관계유능성이 돌봄효능감에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Nursing Students' Emotional Intelligence and Interpersonal Competence on Caring Efficacy)

  • Purpose : This study investigated the effects of nursing students' emotional intelligence and interpersonal competence on their caring efficacy. Methods : This study surveyed 217 junior and senior nursing students from City B in South Korea between June 1 and June 30, 2023. The SPSS 22.0 program was employed to analyze the collected data by computing the frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as by conducting t-test, ANOVA test, Scheffe's test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and a multivariate regression analysis. Results : The nursing students exhibited an average emotional intelligence of 5.31±.78, interpersonal competence of 3.47±.56, and caring efficacy of 4.02±.62. The students' emotional intelligence showed significant differences in terms of satisfaction with their major (p<.001), satisfaction with the clinical practice (p<.001), satisfaction with their relationship with clinical practice instructors (p=.001), and the standard of living (p=.021). Furthermore, a significant difference in interpersonal competence was observed in terms of the students' satisfaction with their major (p=.003), satisfaction with the clinical practice (p=.001), satisfaction with their relationship with clinical practice instructors (p=.002), and subjective mental health (p=.005). Meanwhile caring efficacy demonstrated a significant difference with regard to the grade level (p=.001), satisfaction with the major (p<.001), satisfaction with the clinical practice (p<.001), satisfaction with their relationship with clinical practice instructors (p=.007), subjective mental health (p<.001), and subjective physical health (p=.047). The factors that affected the caring efficacy included interpersonal competence (p=.002), grade level (p<.001), satisfaction with the major (p=.004), and emotional intelligence (p=.020), all of which together accounted for an explanatory power of 22.3 %. Conclusion : Based on the results of this study, it is evident that further research related to the emotional intelligence, interpersonal competence, and caring efficacy of nursing students must be encouraged in the future. Furthermore efforts should be made to develop appropriate programs aimed at enhancing nursing students' caring efficacy by accounting for their emotional intelligence and interpersonal competence.

딥러닝 기반 도시가스 누출량 예측 모니터링 시스템 (An Predictive System for urban gas leakage based on Deep Learning)

  • In this paper, we propose a monitoring system that can monitor gas leakage concentrations in real time and forecast the amount of gas leaked after one minute. When gas leaks happen, they typically lead to accidents such as poisoning, explosion, and fire, so a monitoring system is needed to reduce such occurrences. Previous research has mainly been focused on analyzing explosion characteristics based on gas types, or on warning systems that sound an alarm when a gas leak occurs in industrial areas. However, there are no studies on creating systems that utilize specific gas explosion characteristic analysis or empirical urban gas data. This research establishes a deep learning model that predicts the gas explosion risk level over time, based on the gas data collected in real time. In order to determine the relative risk level of a gas leak, the gas risk level was divided into five levels based on the lower explosion limit. The monitoring platform displays the current risk level, the predicted risk level, and the amount of gas leaked. It is expected that the development of this system will become a starting point for a monitoring system that can be deployed in urban areas.

정서지능 향상 프로그램이 아동의 스트레스 인식과 스트레스 대처에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of an Emotional Intelligence Development Program on the Stress Recognition and the Stress Coping of Elementary School Children)

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 아동의 정서지능 프로그램이 아동의 스트레스 인식과 스트레스 대처에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해서 실시되었다. 경기도 S 초등학교 4학년 아동을 대상으로 사전 검사를 실시하여 스트레스 인식 수준은 높고, 정서지능과 스트레스 대처 능력이 낮은 아동대상 중 프로그램 참여에 동의한 아동 24명을 각각 12명씩 실험집단과 통제집단에 임의 배정하였다. 실험집단을 대상으로 매주 2회씩 총 10회에 걸쳐 방과 후 시간에 50분씩 프로그램을 실시하였고 통제집단은 무처치 하였다. 실험처치후 집단간 정서지능 검사와 스트레스 인식 검사, 스트레스 대처 검사 결과를 비교 분석하였고, 실험집단 아동의 프로그램 평가 및 소감문, 교사의 관찰내용 등을 분석하였다. 연구결과 실험집단의 정서지능은 통제집단에 비해 의미있게 향상되었으며 정서지능의 하위변인인 정서인식 및 표현과 사고촉진, 정서조절이 유의미하게 증가하였다. 또한 실험집단의 스트레스 인식 수준은 통제집단에 비해 의미있게 감소되었으며 스트레스 인식 수준의 하위영역 중 부모, 가정환경, 친구, 학업의 영역에서 유의미하게 감소되었다. 마지막으로 실험집단의 스트레스 대처 능력은 통제집단에 비해 유의미하게 긍정적인 변화를 가져왔다. 이러한 결과는 참여아동의 소감문, 프로그램 평가결과, 교사의 관찰기록 내용 분석에 의해 지지되고 보충되었다. 본 연구결과는 정서지능이 스트레스 경험과 적응과의 관계를 중재하는 변수임을 시사해주며, 정서지능 향상을 통한 아동의 스트레스 인식과 대처에 변화를 가져오는 구체적 한 방안을 제시했다는데 의의가 있다.
