동적 발란스의 원리를 이용한 수중 잠수정-매니퓰레이터 시스템의 동역학 시뮬레이션 (Dynamic Simulation of Underwater Vehicle-Manipulator Systems Using Principle of Dynamical Balance)

  • In this paper, two schemes are introduced for dynamic simulation of underwater robotic systems. One is principle of dynamical balance, which is an easy and powerful tool for formulating dynamic equations of composite systems such as underwater vehicle-manipulator system. In the dynamic modeling, this principle gives us the closed-form of dynamic equations on matrix Lie group. The other is geometric integration algorithm, called 4-th order explicit Munthe-Kaas method. By this method, the derived differential equations can be integrated preserving geometric structure. Adopting these two schemes, dynamic simulation of underwater vehicle- manipulator system can be conducted more easily and more reliably.

Comparison of Database Models for Developing a Pavement Performance Analysis System

  • One of the most difficult tasks in pavement management information systems is establishing the links between performance measures of a structure and the design and construction inputs. In-situ pavement performance can be considered a response variable to many project input variables, such as design, construction, and traffic loading effects. If we are to fully understand the component of pavement performance and specify the inputs through design and construction specifications to achieve that performance we must develop quantitative relationship between input and response variables through a scientific, fully integrated Pavement Performance Analysis System (PPAS). Hence, the objective of this study is to design a database model required for developing an effective database template that will allow analysis of pavement performance measures based on design and construction information linked by location. In order to select the most appropriate database model, a conceptual database model (Entity Relationship Model) and dimensional model, which is believed to be the most effective modeling technique for data warehouse project, are designed and compared. It is believed that other state highway agencies could adopt the proposed design strategy for implementing a PPAS at the discretion of the state highway agencies.

  • Modern transmission technologies such as automated manual transmission(AMT) and dual clutch transmission(DCT) are interested to all manufactures due to their fuel efficiency and driver's convenience, especially in a hybrid system. AMT has advantages in that they have a high efficiency of manual transmissions(MT) and offer operation convenience similar to automatic transmissions(AT), but it has some disadvantages in that they have torque gap during gear shift and shift time. To reduce disadvantages, it is necessary to evaluate errors and characteristics as a developing simulation model before experimental verification. The purpose of this study is to develop virtual components and simulate the transient response of AMT. A dynamic AMT model and a control logic for an integrated vehicle model have been developed using Matlab/Simulink as a simulation platform. In this paper, the clutch model to describe the stick-slip transition mode and the transmission model to describe the neutral gear shifting is introduced and compared with each other.

  • We developed a Off-Line Graphic Simulator which can simulate a robot model in 3D graphics space in Windows 98 version. 4 axes industrial robot was adopted as an objective model. Forward kinematics, inverse kinematics and robot dynamics modeling were included in the developed program. The interface between users and the off-line program system in the Windows 98's graphic user interface environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by Silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for 3D graphics.

  • 본 연구에서는 선박설계/생산공정에 필요한 용접정보를 생성 지원하는 전산 시스템을 모델링하였다. 이를 위해 기존의 선박 용접정보의 특성과 흐름을 고찰, 분석하고, 전산 처리가 가능한 선박 용접정보 모델을 정의하였다. 모델링 기법으로는 효율적이고 유연한 시스템을 구축하기 위해 객체 지향 기법과 데이터베이스 기술을 접목시키고, Event-driven방식의 그래픽 사용자 인터페이스 기술을 동원하였다. 그리고, 테스트 프로그램을 개발하여 정의된 모델의 적합성과 그 구현 수단의 유효성을 확인, 검증하였다.

  • As a futuristic construction model, building information model(BIM) based project management system(PMIS) and mobile PMIS have been showing visible sign. However, researches on the 3D BIM based PMIS using mobile device are hard to find, result from limitation of mobile device application(slow speed at huge BIM file, display size, and etc.) and undefined standard of business processes. Therefore, this research aims at studying feasibility of mobile BIM PMIS based on cloud computing as a business model. In case of applying mobile BIM PMIS, 3D drawings and integrated building informations are possible on mobile devices in real time. it would support increasing the productivity of project participants as designer, engineer, supervisor, and etc. Globally, BIM based PMIS and Mobile BIM system, cloud computing based mobile BIM simulator are in the concept or experimental phase, therefore it is possible to secure global leading technology of IT and construction merger in the mobile BIM.

  • Electrical Power System (EPS) of Electric Vehicle which consists of batteries, motor and driving subsystem, has been modeled. A battery model is modeled with an electrical circuit representing a characteristics of real battery. Driving subsystem is modeled as three different level namely exact, average and functional models. Load profile includes road information, speed profile and EV mechanical parameters, which are incorporated into a reference torque in the driving subsystem model. A system model is integrated to simulate the performance of electric vehicle such as energy balance, battery status, and electrical stress of each subsystem.

  • The purpose of this paper is to verify and validate the maintenance tasks of the construction of a nuclear facility using a digital mock-up and simulation technology instead of a physical mock-up. Prior to the construction of a nuclear facility, a remote simulator that provides the opportunity to produce a complete digital mock-up of the PRIDE (Pyroprocess Integrated Inactive DEmonstration Facility) region and its remote handling equipment, including operations and maintenance procedures has been developed. In this paper, the system architecture and graphic user interface of a remote simulator that coincides with the extraordinary nature of a nuclear fuel cycle facility is introduced. In order to analyze the remote accessibility of a remote manipulator, virtual prototyping that was performed it by using haptic device of external input devices under a 3D full-scale digital mock-up is explained.

TCAD-머신러닝 기반 나노시트 FETs 컴팩트 모델링 (Compact Modeling for Nanosheet FET Based on TCAD-Machine Learning)

  • The continuous shrinking of transistors in integrated circuits leads to difficulties in improving performance, resulting in the emerging transistors such as nanosheet field-effect transistors. In this paper, we propose a TCAD-machine learning framework of nanosheet FETs to model the current-voltage characteristics. Sentaurus TCAD simulations of nanosheet FETs are performed to obtain a large amount of device data. A machine learning model of I-V characteristics is trained using the multi-layer perceptron from these TCAD data. The weights and biases obtained from multi-layer perceptron are implemented in a PSPICE netlist to verify the accuracy of I-V and the DC transfer characteristics of a CMOS inverter. It is found that the proposed machine learning model is applicable to the prediction of nanosheet field-effect transistors device and circuit performance.

SysML 기반 시스템 고장 모델과 시스템 아키텍처의 통합 모델에 대한 검증 기법 (A Verification Method for the Integrated Model Combining SysML-Based System Failure Model and System Architecture)

  • 오늘날 다양한 산업분야에서는 시스템 안전을 확보하기 위한 표준들이 제정되었다. 해당 표준들에서는 시스템 개발 초기 단계인 개념설계 단계부터 위험원 분석 활동을 수행하고, 분석 결과를 안전을 확보하기 위한 시스템 설계 활동에 반영할 것을 제시하고 있다. 따라서 운영 목표에 부응하는 시스템의 설계와 시스템에 내재하는 위험원 분석은 밀접한 관계가 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 기존에는 설계 결과의 검증에서 시스템 개념설계와 위험원 분석 결과를 분리하여 수행하였다. 본 논문에서는 분리 수행에 따른 문제를 개선하기 위하여 시스템 고장 모델과 시스템 아키텍처의 통합 모델에 대한 검증 방법을 연구하였다. 구체적으로, 먼저 대상시스템의 아키텍처를 시스템 모델링 언어인 SysML로 모델링 하였다. 그리고 나서 시스템 아키텍처 정보를 기반으로 위험원 분석을 수행하고, 이를 토대로 SysML 고장 모델을 생성하였다. 그 후에 시스템 고장 모델을 시스템 아키텍처에 통합하고, 이를 기반으로 고장에 대비한 안전 설계를 추가하였다. 최종적으로 시스템 운영 중 일부 고장에도 안전 설계 결과가 안전 목표를 만족하는지 검증하기 위한 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.
