This document presents the JES(Joint Element Structure) method that has been adopted for the firs time in our country for the construction of the structure crossing under the railroad without open excavation. Front Jacking Method, Tubular Roof Construction Method, New Tubular Roof Method and Joint Element Structure Method are commonly used for the construction of structures crossing under the railroad. JES Method, frequently used in Japan recently, is a new method to construct the structures crossing under the railroad in a safe manner and in a relatively short period of time by utilizing the steel elements with the joints through which the load in the vertical angle to the axial direction is transferred to the next element. The elements are tied to each other through the joints to form the permanent walls of a Rahmen structure under the road without open excavation and without limitation to the length in a convenient way. Through the case study in the project of a Subway Box Culvert Improvement for the Gyeonguiseon Railroad in front of Yonsei University using the JES Method, the cost and period of construction in various types of soil is investigated compared to the Front Jacking Method. Furthermore, by analyzing the results of instrumentation measurements carried out throughout the construction, comparison between the actual displacement in the ground and the predicted displacement in the design is made to provide the considerations to be counted for the design. In conclusion, comparison in the field of economic feasibility, constructability and safety between the JES Method and Front Jacking Method, which is most frequently adopted in our country at present, is made to present the JES Method as a new alternative for the non-open excavation construction method for the structures crossing under the railway.
The aim of current work is to evaluate thermo-electrical characteristics of graphene nanoplatelets Reinforced Composite (GNPRC) coupled with magneto-electro-elastic (MEE) face sheet. In this regard, a cylindrical smart nanocomposite made of GNPRC with an external MEE layer is considered. The bonding between the layers are assumed to be perfect. Because of the layer nature of the structure, the material characteristics of the whole structure is regarded as graded. Both mechanical and thermal boundary conditions are applied to this structure. The main objective of this work is to determine critical temperature and critical voltage as a function of thermal condition, support type, GNP weight fraction, and MEE thickness. The governing equation of the multilayer nanocomposites cylindrical shell is derived. The generalized differential quadrature method (GDQM) is employed to numerically solve the differential equations. This method is integrated with Deep Learning Network (DNN) with ADADELTA optimizer to determine the critical conditions of the current sandwich structure. This the first time that effects of several conditions including surrounding temperature, MEE layer thickness, and pattern of the layers of the GNPRC is investigated on two main parameters critical temperature and critical voltage of the nanostructure. Furthermore, Maxwell equation is derived for modeling of the MEE. The outcome reveals that MEE layer, temperature change, GNP weight function, and GNP distribution patterns GNP weight function have significant influence on the critical temperature and voltage of cylindrical shell made from GNP nanocomposites core with MEE face sheet on outer of the shell.

Cantilever beam MEMS piezoelectric accelerometers are the simplest and most widely used accelerometer structure. This paper discusses the design of a piezoelectric accelerometer exclusively for SHM applications. While such accelerometers need to operate at a lower frequency range, they also need to possess high sensitivity and low noise floor. The availability of a simple model for deflection, charge, and voltage sensitivities will make the accelerometer design procedure less cumbersome. However, a review of the open literature suggests that such a model has not yet been proposed. In addition, previous works either depended on FEM analysis or only reported on the fabrication and characterization of piezoelectric accelerometers. Hence, this paper presents, for the first time, a simple analytical model developed for the deflection, induced voltage, and charge sensitivity of a cantilever beam piezoelectric accelerometer. The model is then verified using FEM analysis for a range of different cases. Further, the model was validated by comparing the induced voltages of an accelerometer estimated using this model with experimental voltages measured in the accelerometer after fabrication. Subsequently, the design of an accelerometer is demonstrated for SHM applications using the analytical model developed in this work. The designed accelerometer has 60 mV/g voltage sensitivity and 2.4 pC/g charge sensitivity, which are relatively high values compared to those of the piezoresistive and capacitive accelerometers for SHM applications reported earlier.

In this paper, the dynamic crawling of a five-bar planar mechanism is investigated. One complete cycle of the crawling selected in this study consists of four different steps, i) sliding at one contact point between the mechanism and the ground, ii) changing its configuration without sliding at two contact points, iii) sliding at the other contact point, and iv) again changing its configuration without sliding at two contact points. In this type of crawling, the crawling mechanism maintains the shape of the parallel structure throughout a complete crawling cycle. The modeling algorithm for serial manipulators proposed by M. Thomas and et al.[1] is employed by introducing imaginary joints and links which represent the contact interfaces between the one end of the mechanism and the ground, while the other end of the mechanism is regarded as an end-effector of the imaginary serial manipulator which treats the reaction force and torque at the contact point as external forces. Then, a complete cycle of dynamic crawling of the mechanism is investigated through various computer simulations. The simulation result show that the stable crawling characteristics of the mechanism could be secured when the proper configurations depending on specified frictional constraints are met.

The silicon nitride films were prepared by chemical vapor deposition using inductively coupled plasma. During the deposition, the substrate was heated at $150^{\circ}C$ and power 1,000 W. To evolution low temperature manufacture, we have studied the role of source gases, $SiH_4$, $NH_3$, $N_2$, and $H_2$, to produce Si-N and N-H bond in a-SiNx:H film growth. $SiH_4$, $NH_3$, and $N_2$ flow rate fixed at 100, 10, and 10 sccm, $H_2$ flow rate varied from 0 to 10 sccm by small scale. To get the electrical characteristics, we makes MIM structure, and analysis surface bonding state. Experimental data show that Si-N and N-H bond is increased and hence electrical characteristics is showed 3 MV/cm breakdown-voltage, and leakage-current $10^{-7}\;A/cm^2$.

The resistance switching memory devices have several advantages to take breakthrough for the limitation of operation speed, retention, and device scale. Especially, the metal-oxide materials such as ZnO are able to fabricate on the flexible and visible transparent plastic substrate. Also, the quantum dots (QDs) embedded in dielectric layer could be improve the ratio between the low and the high resistance becauseof their Coulomb blockade, carrier trap and induced filament path formation. In this study, we irradiated 0.2-MeV-electron beam on the ZnO/QDs/ZnO structure to control the defect and oxygen vacancy of ZnO layer. The metal-oxide QDs embedded in ZnO layer on Pt/glass substrate were fabricated for a memory device and evaluated electrical properties after 0.2-MeV-electron beam irradiations. To formation bottom electrode, the Pt layer (200 nm) was deposited on the glass substrate by direct current sputter. The ZnO layer (100 nm) was deposited by ultra-high vacuum radio frequency sputter at base pressure $1{\times}10^{-10}$ Torr. And then, the metal-oxide QDs on the ZnO layer were created by thermal annealing. Finally, the ZnO layer (100 nm) also was deposited by ultra-high vacuum sputter. Before the formation top electrode, 0.2 MeV liner accelerated electron beams with flux of $1{\times}10^{13}$ and $10^{14}$ electrons/$cm^2$ were irradiated. We will discuss the electrical properties and the physical relationships among the irradiation condition, the dislocation density and mechanism of resistive switching in the hybrid memory device.
Oil spill was found in 1999 from a diesel storage facility located near the top of Baekun Mountain in Uiwang City. Application of bioremediation techniques was very relevant in removing oil spills in this site, because the geological condition was not amenable for other onsite remediation techniques. For efficient bioremediation, bacterial communities of the contaminated site and the uncontaminated control site were compared using both molecular and cultivation techniques. Soil bacterial populations were observed to be stimulated to grow in the soils contaminated with diesel hydrocarbon, whereas fungal and actinomycetes populations were decreased by diesel contamination. Most of the dieseldegrading bacteria isolated from contaminated forest soils were strains of Pseudomonas, Ralstonia, and Rhodococcus species. Denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (DGGE) analysis revealed that the profiles were different among the three contaminated sites, whereas those of the control sites were identical to each other. Analysis of 16S rDNA sequences of dominant isolates and clones showed that the bacterial community was less diverse in the oil-contaminated site than at the control site. Sequence analysis of the alkane hydroxylase genes cloned from soil microbial DNAs indicated that their diversity and distribution were different between the contaminated site and the control site. The results indicated that diesel contamination exerted a strong selection on the indigenous microbial community in the contaminated site, leading to predominance of well-adapted microorganisms in concurrence with decrease of microbial diversity.
There are increasing usage of Nickel-Titanium rotary files in modern clinical endodontic treatment because it is effective and faster than hand filing due to reduced step. This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of canal preparations using 3 different rotary Nickel-Titanium files that has different cross sectional shape and taper on the maintenance of canal curvature. Simulated resin block were instrumented with Profile(Dentsply, USA), GT rotary files(Dentsply, USA), Hero 642(Micro-Mega France), and Pro-Taper(Dentsply, USA). The image of Pre-instrumentation and Post-instrumentation were acquired using digital camera and overspreaded in the computer. Then the total differences of canal diameter, deviation at the outer portion of curvature, deviation at the inner portion of curvature, movement of center of the canal and the centering ratio at the pre-determined level from the apex were measured. Results were statistically analyzed by means of ANOVA, followed by Scheffe test at a significance level of 0.05. The results were as follows; 1. Deviation at the outer portion of curvature, deviation at the inner portion of curvature were showed largest in Pro-Taper so also did in the total differences of canal diameter(p<0.05). 2. All the groups showed movements of center Profile combined with GT rotary files and Hero 642 has no difference but Pro-Taper showed the most deviation(p<0.05). 3. At the 1, 2, 3mm level from the apex movements of center directed toward the outer portion of curvature, but in 4, 5 mm level directed toward the inner portion of curvature(p<0.05). As a results of this study, it could be concluded that combined use of other Nickel-Titanium rotary files is strongly recommended when use Pro-Taper file because it could be remove too much canal structure and also made more deviation of canal curvature than others.

This paper discusses theimplementation of the low-voltage, low-power, third-order, 1-bit switched capacitor delta-sigma modulator of the implantable cardiac pacemaker. The distributed, feed-forward structure and bulk-driven OTA were used in order to achieve an efficient operation under a supply voltage of 1V or lower. The designed modulator has a dynamic range of 49dB at 0.9V supply voltage and consumes 816nW of power. Such a significant reduction in power consumption allows diverse applications, not only in pacemakers, but also in implantable biomedical devices that operate with limited battery power. The core chip size of the modulator is $1000{\mu}m*500{\mu}m$ manufactured, with the $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS standard process.

TIn this paper, we propose a high performance L1 cache structure on the high clock CPU of 4GHz. The proposed cache memory consists of three parts, i.e., a direct-mapped cache to support fast access time, a two-way set associative buffer to exploit temporal locality, and a buffer-select table. The most recently accessed data is stored in the direct-mapped cache. If a data has a high probability of a repeated reference, when the data is replaced from the direct-mapped cache, the data is selectively stored into the two-way set associative buffer. For the high performance and low power consumption, we propose an one way among two ways set associative buffer is selectively accessed based on the buffer-select table(BST). According to simulation results, Energy $^*$ Delay product can improve about 45%, 70% and 75% compared with a direct mapped cache, a four-way set associative cache, and a victim cache with two times more space respectively.
