Technology Development of Noise Reduction at Stack for Resolution of Abnormal Noise (이상소음 해소를 위한 Stack 소음저감 기술개발)

  • Object of this study is to develop an Stack Silencer System for quieting abnormal noise around power plant. Abnormal noise gets resident people to feel uncomfortable. Stack Silencer System is to minimize pressure loss of exhaust gas and to maximize noise reduction effect from abnormal noise frequency band. Stack Silencer System is installation in stack and absorbing material is an aluminum foam. Reduction effect measures insertion loss of $8.2{\sim}19.4dB$ by Stack silencer installation. After Stack Silencer System installation, pressure loss of exhaust gas measured $5{\sim}9mmH_2O$.

  • In this study as treating to filter silance coupling agent (KM-6030 improving coupling strength between matrix resin (bisphenole-A type epoxy resin) and filler (SiO2), breakdown strength was investigated on cases applying DC voltage to specimen. In the case on DC voltage, breakdown strength was improved bout 12.73% and 10.77% in specimen of 5[wt%] and 50[wt%] of filler content of 10 of epoxy. Therefore, it was investigate the effect that concentration of coupling agent and content of filler was influential on breakdown strength of epoxy resin.

And the result of case study, it will go far toward improving the Lighting display process

  • This research tries to analyze and investigate the effects of the noise reduction test for the sound-absorbing materials installed tentatively on Metro Line 5. Though the noise reduction effects of each sound-absorbing material showed that there was about $2{\sim}5\;dB$ compared with before and after of the tentative installation, it shows that the noise reduction effects are reducing because of the section change condition such as dust absorption and the rail abrasion as time passes after the tentative installation. Also, many difficulties are occurring in the maintenance of the orbit facilities because of the installation of sound-absorbing materials. Though various abroad products for noise reduction are imported like this, the researches for the noise reduction effect increase for this and the improvement direction are being required because of the poor circumstance of the efficiency aspect compared to the economic investment effect because those are not suited to the character of domestic Metro.

An optimum design of on-bottom stability of offshore pipelines on soft clay

  • This paper deals with the dynamic effect of pipeline installation and embedment for the on-bottom stability design of offshore pipelines on soft clay. On-bottom stability analysis of offshore pipelines on soft clay by DNV-RP-F109 (DNV, 2010) results in very unreasonable pipe embedment and concrete coating thickness. Thus, a new procedure of the on-bottom stability analysis was established considering dynamic effects of pipeline installation and pipe-soil interaction at touchdown point (TDP). This analysis procedure is composed of three steps: global pipeline installation analysis, local analysis at TDP, modified on-bottom stability analysis using DNV-RP-F109. Data obtained from the dynamic pipeline installation analysis were utilized for the finite element analysis (FEA) of the pipeline embedment using the non-linear soil property. From the analysis results of the proposed procedure, an optimum design of on-bottom stability of offshore pipeline on soft clay can be achieved. This procedure and result will be useful to assess the on-bottom stability analysis of offshore pipelines on soft clay. The analysis results were justified by an offshore field inspection.

  • A face bolt is normally horizontally installed. However, it often deviates from the initial horizontal position. The reinforcement effect of face bolts by its installation angle is analysed in this study. For the purpose of preventing surface subsidence and horizontal displacement of face, the face bolt should be installed as horizontally as possible, and if it deviates from the initial position, more bolts should be installed. Also, the residual face bolt left behind the face due to its installation angle has little supportive effect because it its too short and radially arranged.

  • This research was carried out to investigate the corrosion prevention effect in the water distribution system by galvanized zinc-brass pipe which is using potential between brass and zinc. As a result of this study, pH and conductivity of influent were constant in spite of its installation, and it was difficult to estimate the effect of the installation with temporary increased and reduced concentration of Zn and Fe ions, respectively. However, since the corrosion rate of the steel coupon with galvanized zinc-brass pipe was relatively low, it has an effect of inhibiting corrosion.

  • The objective of this research lies in the effect of installation parameters influencing on the wind proof performance of the coastal forest for damage prevention. The dissipation ratio of incident wind power is developed as an assessment index to make a lumped parameter study possible. From the real field data of East, West, and South Sea bounded on the Korean peninsula, single and double storied forests were modeled in three-dimensional shape with computer aided design, and so was done the artificial structures such as wind break, sand accumulating fence, and sand dune, etc With a commercial code ANSYS-CFX, the computational result from the comparison of dissipation ratio between single and double storied forest shows the effect of composition, and also the installation effect is investigated for artificial structures with optimal dimension of distance.

  • The effect of diurnal cycle, intermittent visit of observation satellite, sensor installation, partial coverage of remote sensing, heterogeneity of soil properties and precipitation to the soil moisture estimation error were analyzed to present the global sampling strategy of soil moisture. Three models, the theoretical soil moisture model, WGR model proposed Waymire of at. (1984) to generate rainfall, and Turning Band Method to generate two dimensional soil porosity, active soil depth and loss coefficient field were used to construct sufficient two-dimensional soil moisture data based on different scenarios. The sampling error is dominated by sampling interval and design scheme. The effect of heterogeneity of soil properties and rainfall to sampling error is smaller than that of temporal gap and spatial gap. Selecting a small sampling interval can dramatically reduce the sampling error generated by other factors such as heterogeneity of rainfall, soil properties, topography, and climatic conditions. If the annual mean of coverage portion is about 90%, the effect of partial coverage to sampling error can be disregarded. The water retention capacity of fields is very important in the sampling error. The smaller the water retention capacity of the field (small soil porosity and thin active soil depth), the greater the sampling error. These results indicate that the sampling error is very sensitive to water retention capacity. Block random installation gets more accurate data than random installation of soil moisture gages. The Walnut Gulch soil moisture data show that the diurnal variation of soil moisture causes sampling error between 1 and 4 % in daily estimation.

  • To analysis the effect by the Harmonics through Power facilities in Apartment housing, This paper measured the Harmonics at Lighting Transformer, Power Transformer and Services-entrance Conductors of electrical installation in apartment housing. The measured result is following as : 1) The Harmonics at Lighting Transformer is generated in the large of the 5th Harmonics. 2) The Harmonics at Power Transformer is generated in the large of the 5th and 7th Harmonics. And then 3) The THD at the Services-entrance Conductors is average 2.4[%], which is compared to the measuring Voltage, this meaning value is good condition until now against Harmonics effect. But, So the large capacitance of household electrical alliances with rectifiers in the future considered the effect of Harmonics at the Electric Power planning in apartment Housing.
