  • The sensorless scheme for Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) dives must have the robustness and reliability because the noise and error are sensitive. These elements make electrically noisy environments due to the proximity of high current power circuits with small signal electronic circuits when SRM drives. Also the leakage inductances and finite coupling capacitances these can cause the noise on any low voltage current and voltage measurement. the error can occur because the current and voltage including the noise are used as the input of sensorless algorithm In this paper the high robustness and resistance of input noise are described and the fuzzy logic based rotor estimation algorithm is used to reduce the tolerance of input data.

  • General adaptive noise canceller(ANC) suffers from the misadjustment of adaptive filter weights, because of the gradient-estimate noise at steady state. In this paper, an adaptive noise cancellation algorithm with speech detector which is distinguishing speech from silence and adaptation-transient region is proposed. The speech detector uses property of adaptive prediction-error filter which can filter the highly correlated speech. To detect speech region, estimation error which is the output of the adaptive filter is applied to the adaptive prediction-error filter. When speech signal apears at the input of the adaptive prediction-error filter. The ratio of input and output energy of adaptive prediction-error filter becomes relatively lower. The ratio becomes large when the white noise appears at the input. So the region of speech is detected by the ratio. Sign algorithm is applied at speech region to prevent the weights from perturbing by output speech of ANC. As results of computer simulation, the proposed algorithm improves segmental SNR and SNR up to about 4 dBand 11 dB, respectively.

  • Identification of asymmetry and anisotropy of rotor system is important for diagnosis of rotating machinery. Directional frequency response functions (dFRFs) are known to be a powerful tool in effectively detecting the presence of asymmetry or anisotropy. In this paper, an input noise effect of dFRFs for rotors is estimated, when both asymmetry and anisotropy are present. The normalized random errors of the dFRFs are calculated to verify the validity of the method, which is demonstrated by numerical simulation with a simple rotor model.

  • This paper describes Active Noise Control (ANC) using Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) Domain Least Mean Square (LMS) Method. DWT-LMS is one of the transform domain input decorrelation LMS and improves the convergence speed of adaptive filter especially when the input signal is highly correlated. Conventional transform domain LMS's use Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) because it offers linear band signal decomposition and fast transform algorithm. Wavelet transform can project the input signal into the several octave band subspace and offers more efficient sliding fast transform algorithm. In this paper, we propose Wavelet transform domain LMS algorithm and shows its performance is similar to DCT LMS in some cases using ANC simulation.

  • In this paper, two-stage low noise amplifier(LNA) for 24GHz is designed and fabricated using NE450284C HJ-FET of NEC CO. In order to get noise figure and input VSWR to be wanted, it is considered input VSWR and noise figure simultaneously in matching-circuit designing. The fabricated two-stage low noise amplifier has the gain of 16.6dB, input VSWR of 1.6, and output VSWR under 1.5.

  • With the study for identifying the transmission characteristics of vibration and noise generated by operating engine system of a vehicle, recently many engineers have studied actively the reduction of vibration and noise inducing uncomfortableness to the passenger. In this study, output noise was analyzed by multi-dimensional spectral analysis and vector synthesis method. The multi-dimensional analysis method is very effective in case of identification of primary source, but this method has little effect on suggestion for interior noised reduction. For compensation of this, vector synthesis method was used to obtain effective method for interior noise reduction, after identifying primary source for output noise. In this paper, partial coherence function of each input was calculated to know which input was most coherent to output noise, then with simulation of changes for input magnitude and phase by vector synthesis diagram, the trends of synthesized output vector was obtained. As a result, the change of synthesized output vector could be estimated.

  • This paper proposed the dual-loops multiphase DLL based mixed VCO/VCDL for a high frequency phase noise suppression of the input clock and the multiple frequencies generation with a precise duty cycle. In the proposed architecture, the dual-loops DLL uses the dual input differential buffer based nMOS source-coupled pairs at the input stage of the mixed VCO/VCDL. This can easily convert the input and output phase transfer of the conventional DLL with bypass pass filter characteristic to the input and output phase transfer of PLL with low pass filter characteristic for the high frequency input phase noise suppression. Also, the proposed DLL can correct the duty-cycle error of multiple frequencies by using only the duty-cycle correction circuits and the phase tracking loop without additional correction controlled loop. At the simulation result with $0.18{\mu}m$ CMOS technology, the output phase noise of the proposed DLL is improved under -13dB for 1GHz input clock with 800MHz input phase noise. Also, at 1GHz operating frequency with 40%~60% duty-cycle error, the duty-cycle error of the multiple frequencies is corrected under $50{\pm}1%$ at 2GHz the input clock.

  • The effect of toxicants on ecological systems is an important issue from mathematical and experimental points of view. Here we have studied dynamical model of a single-species population-toxicant system. Two cases are studied: constant exogeneous input of toxicant and rapidly fluctuating random exogeneous input of toxicant into the environment. The dynamical behaviour of the system is analyzed by using deterministic linearized technique, Lyapunov method and stochastic linearization on the assumption that exogeneous input of toxicant into the environment behaves like ‘Coloured noise’.

  • Noise map presents new alternatives of noise reduction counter measure and becomes important tool for making environmental policy. Many input factors such as road conditions, number of vehicles, speeds of vehicles are used for noise prediction of the noise map. However, results of noise prediction make difference depending on the values of the input factors. In this study, effect of measurement method for vehicle speeds all the prediction results of the noise map.
