Time-series 방법으로 모델링한 절삭역학에 의한 공구마모감시방법 (Tool Wear Monitoring Scheme by Modeling of the Cutting Dynamics by Time-series Method)

  • In this work, the imaginary part of the inner modulation transfer function of the cutting dynamics is introduced for tool wear monitoring. Time-series method is utilized to construct the general three dimensional cutting dynamics whose imaginary part of the inner modulation transfer funcition shows the proportionality to tool wear at the natural frequency of the machine tool dynamics. Thus model is reduced to single-input single-output model without altering the proportionality characteristics to tool wear and implemented to the dual computer system in which one computer performs measurement while the other calculates the imaginary part of the inner modulation transfer function of the cutting dynamics by the batch least square method. The values of the imaginary part at the natural requency of the machine tool structure in the cutting direction are compared to the one calculated during machining with a brand new tool to decide the current status of the tool. The experiments shows the relevance of the proposed concept.

댐핑안전 구조물을 고려한 완전밀페식 LNG 저장탱크 시스템의 강도안전성에 관한 유한요소해석 (FE Analysis on the Strength Safety of a Full Containment LNG Storage Tank System with Damping Safety Structures)

  • 본 논문에서는 유한요소법을 사용하여 댐핑안전 구조물을 설치한 완전밀폐식 LNG 저장탱크 시스템의 강도안전성에 대해 해석하였다. 내부탱크의 FEM 해석을 위해, 탱크에 저장된 LNG에 의한 유체정압, 초저온 온도하중, BOG 압력, LNG 자중량, 내부탱크의 코너 측벽면에 가해진 침하하중 등과 같은 모든 복합하중을 내부탱크 구조물에 적용하였다. FEM 계산결과에 의하면 기존의 내부탱크는 주어진 모든 하중 조건에 대하여 안전하지만, 압축 스프링과 같은 댐핑안전 구조물은 탱크시스템의 안전성을 확보하는데 대단히 유용한 구조물일 것이라는 사실이다. 따라서 스프링의 강점도를 높이고 최적의 설치위치를 찾으면 스프링 구조물에 의해 탱크시스템의 댐핑강도 안전성을 증가시킬 수 있는 중요한 설계요소가 될 것이다.

The Effect of Chemical Vapor Infiltrated SiC Whiskers on the Change in the Pore Structure of a Porous SiC Body

  • In this study, SiC whiskers were grown on a porous SiC diesel particulate filter for nanoparticle filtering. To grow the whiskers at the inner pore without closing the pores, we used chemical vapor infiltration with a solution source and a dilute. As the deposition time increased, the whiskers grew and formed a network structure. After 180 min of deposition, the mean diameter of the whiskers was 174 nm and the compressive strength was 58.4 MPa. The pores shrank from $10{\mu}m\;to\;0.4{\mu}m$ and, because the whiskers filed the inner pores, the gradient of permeability decreased as the deposition time increased. However, by using the network structure of whiskers deposited for 120 min and 180 min, we obtained a diesel particulate filter with pores of $0.98{\mu}m\;and\;0.4{\mu}m$, respectively. Furthermore, the filter shows better permeability than a porous body with pores of $1{\mu}m$. In short, by filtering the nanoparticulate materials, the network structure of whiskers improves the strength, reduces the pore size and minimizes the permeability drop.

Effects of Chitosan on Body Weight Gain, Growth Hormone and Intestinal Morphology in Weaned Pigs

  • The study was conducted to determine the effects of chitosan on the concentrations of GH and IGF-I in serum and small intestinal morphological structure of piglets, in order to evaluate the regulating action of chitosan on weaned pig growth through endocrine and intestinal morphological approaches. A total of 180 weaned pigs (35 d of age; $11.56{\pm}1.61kg$ of body weight) were selected and assigned randomly to 5 dietary treatments, including 1 basal diet (control) and 4 diets with chitosan supplementation (100, 500, 1,000 and 2,000 mg/kg, respectively). Each treatment contained six replicate pens with six pigs per pen. The experiment lasted for 28 d. The results showed that the average body weight gain (BWG) of pigs was improved quadratically by dietary chitosan during the former 14 d and the later 14 d after weaned (p<0.05). Furthermore, dietary supplementation of chitosan tended to quadratically increase the concentration of serum GH on d 14 (p = 0.082) and 28 (p = 0.087). Diets supplemented with increasing levels of chitosan increased quadratically the villus height of jejunum and ileum on d 14 (p = 0.089, p<0.01) and 28 (p = 0.074, p<0.01), meanwhile, chitosan increased quadratically the ratio of villus height to crypt depth in duodenum, jejunum and ileum on d 14 (p<0.05, p = 0.055, p<0.01) and 28 (p<0.01, p<0.01, p<0.01), however, it decreased quadratically crypt depth in ileum on d 14 (p<0.05) and that in duodenum, jejunum and ileum on d 28 (p<0.01, p<0.05, p<0.05). In conclusion, these results indicated that chitosan could quadratically improve growth in weaned pigs, and the underlying mechanism may due to the increase of the serum GH concentration and improvement of the small intestines morphological structure.

남성 팬티 전면 중앙부의 구조에 대한 연구 - 남성 팬티의 특허 분석을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Structure of the Front Middle Part of Men's Underwear - Focusing on Analysis of Patents for Men's Underwear -)

  • This study attempted to analyze trends of structural changes in the front middle part of men's underwear and get basic data for the development of men's underwear patterns. In terms of a research method, the structure and pattern of the front middle part of men's underwear were analyzed by referring to the design and description of the drawing, focusing on men's underwear which targeted to isolate penis from scrotum among the 'men's underwear' or 'functional men's underwear'-related patents. According to the study, three topics were obtained as follows: a support attached to the inside of the front middle part; inner cloth attached to the inside of the front middle part; change in the structure of the front middle panel. The aspects by the specific topic targeted to isolate penis from scrotum and prevent the scrotum from adhered to a thigh are as follows: 1) When a support is attached to the inside of the front middle part, the following three methods are proposed: Penis isolated from scrotum by a rest which is designed using the band; penis and scrotum rested in the band and in a pocket respectively; protruded rest inside the front middle part of the underwear. 2) When an inner cloth is attached to the inside of the front middle part, the following methods are designed: A pocket-type inner cloth is attached; isolation of penis hole from the scrotum pocket using a rectangular separator; U-shaped pocket designed to rest penis and scrotum is attached. 3) Regarding change in the structure of the front middle panel, the integration of penis and scrotum resting parts can be divided into two cases: Securing a space using wrinkles; keeping it voluminous using the vertical line. In this all-in-one penis and scrotum-holding type, in addition, different front panel patterns were applied.

편광에 무관한 매우 짧은 결합 길이를 가지는 새로운 수직 방향성 결합기 (A novel vertical directional coupler with polarization independent very short coupling lengths)

  • 편광에 따른 성능 변화가 작은 deep-ridge 도파관 구조에 제작이 용이한 double-sided 프로세스를 이용하여 구현할 수 있는 편광에 무관한 매우 짧은 결합 길이를 가지는 double-sided deep-ridge 도파관 구조를 가지는 새로운 수직 방향성 결합기를 제안하고 여러 가지 구조 파라미터들이 결합길이에 미치는 영향에 대하여 연구하였다. 도파관 폭의 변화에 대한 결합길이의 변화는 코어 두께의 변화에 대한 결합길이의 변화보다 작게 나타나는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 내부 클래딩 영역의 두께가 감소할수록, 코어 두께가 감소할수록 결합 길이가 감소함을 볼 수 있었다. 또한 같은 코어 두께에 대해서는 내부 클래딩 영역의 두께가 감소할수록, 같은 내부 클래딩 영역의 두께에 대해서는 코어 두께가 감소할수록 편광에 관계없이 결합 길이가 같아지는 도파관 폭이 작아짐을 볼 수 있었다.

인삼(人蔘) Callus세포(細胞)의 미세구조적(微細構造的) 비교(比較) 연구(硏究) (A Comparative Study of Fine Structure of Callus Cells in Panax ginseng)

  • A comparative investigation of fine structure of callus cells derived from tissue culture of Panax ginseng was made by electron microscope. Callus was consisted of large superficial cells and small inner zone cells derived from shoot apex tissue cultured for 16 weeks. Large superficial cells were contained the clusters of starch grains surrounded by a double plastid membrane. Especially, electron dense particles were deposited just inside and outside of plastid membrane and also deposited on mitochondria-like and endoplasmic reticulum-like structures. Crystalline body was also found in superficial cells. Small inner zone cells were characterized by presence of proplastids sheathed by short endoplasmic reticulum profiles. presence of spiral configuration of ribosomes and absence of crystalline body. Organ primordia was consisted of a dense cytoplasm and notable nucleate cells derived from nodal tissue cultured for 67 weeks. Proplastids containing starch grains and crystalline bodies were frequently observed; starch grains are of small quantity and does not form the clusters as in inner zone cells; hexagonal crystalline body itself does not have always limiting membrane. Remarkably. in a few cells of primordia, particles resembling the presumptive virus were observed mainly in condensed nuclear chromatin and also in cytoplasm, in mitochondrion-like organelle.

반능동형 머플러 내부의 유동장특성에 관한 연구 (A study on the inner flow fields characteristics of the Semi-active muffler)

  • Recently air pollution has become an important issue. So, as tile number of vehicles increases, the noise pollution has become one of the most serious social issues nowadays. It is a muffler, which is one of the vehicle components. that has the hugest impact on the noise from the vehicle. And it also has a direct influence on the engine performance. So lately the research is proceeding on tile semi-active muffler which can control the back pressure variably by setting up the exhaust variable valve in the baffle to improve its internal structure. The inner parts of muffler which consist of a baffle, pipes and etc. appear to have the complicated turbulence phenomena by the pulsational wave of an unsteady state in the engine and by the structural characteristics of the inner parts. To analyze these phenomena, it is required to have an analysis of its constant quantity and quality. Therefore this study is to analyze with PIV measurement which can analyze the time and space variables, not with the point measurement method like former multi-point anemometer. It is to suggest proper design variables which need to make internal structure of the muffler improve though comparison between the passive type muffler and the semi-active muffler by fabricating a muffler which can be visualized.

공리적설계 기반의 내부종속 AHP를 이용한 국방무기 해외 구매사업의 무기성능 평가방법 개발 (Development of Evaluation Method for Performance of Weapon System using Axiomatic Design based Inner Dependence AHP)

  • Test and evaluation of weapon system is an important task to evaluate the performance of overseas weapon system purchasing project. Especially, quantitative evaluation of performances is hardly completed in defense projects where multiple criteria are conflicted each other. In order to solve this problem, we apply Axiomatic Design (AD) and Inner Dependence AHP method. First, finite functional requirements (FRs) are categorized in hierarchy structure by selecting proper design parameters (DPs) to implement their corresponding FRs. If there are no ways to select DPs when design is coupled between FRs and DPs, then inner dependence is allowed to overcome the strict rule of independence in AHP. Second, the weights of DPs are calculated by applying both Inner Dependence AHP method for coupled design and normal AHP method for uncoupled or decoupled design. Finally, information axiom of AD is applied to the proposed weapon systems by calculating information contents for all parameters. Weapon system with minimum sum of information contents is considered as the best solution. The proposed method in this study should be used in multiple criteria decision making problems involving various conflicting criteria.
