  • Nowadays, landscape architecture development faces several challenges such as how to inherit Chinese cultures and spirits, how to sustain historical and traditional features and how to keep landscape vital in modem development of city and society. Through interpretation of Chinese culture nature which is set as the research principle, this paper concludes to 'natural, suitable and special' leading idea of inheriting, constructing and preserving Chinese landscape. This idea also integrates traditional, modern, western and Chinese cultures and features. With projects and examples, it also explains those bad effects to landscape inheriting: un-enough mending, natural aging, unsuitable policies, and over development etc. This paper also addresses Beijing Tiantan Park and Shanghai Jiangnan Ship Firm landscape design to show successful protection of traditional gardens. Various protections of the architectures and surroundings and innovation of traditional landscape architecture are also stated.

  • Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA) is one of the most promising next generation nano-electronic devices which will inherit the throne of CMOS which is the domineering implementation technology of large scale low power digital systems. In late 1990s, the basic operations of the QCA cell were already demonstrated on a hardware implementation. Also, design tools and simulators were developed. Nevertheless, its design technology is not quite ready for ultra large scale designs. This paper proposes a new approach which enables the QCA designs to inherit the verification methodologies and tools of CMOS designs, as well. First, a set of disciplinary rules strictly restrict the cell arrangement not to deviate from the predefined structures but to guarantee the deterministic digital behaviors. After the gate and interconnect structures of the QCA design are identified, the signal integrity requirements including the input path balancing of majority gates, and the prevention of the noise amplification are checked. And then the digital logic is extracted and stored in the OpenAccess common engineering database which provides a connection to a large pool of CMOS design verification tools. Towards validating the proposed approach, we designed a 2-bit QCA adder. The digital logic is extracted, translated into the Verilog net list, and then simulated using a commercial software.

  • This experiment was performed to obtain the basic information on heterosis and heterobeltiosis of quantitative characters in the eggplant by crossing of varieties. The heterosis and heterobeltiosis were estimated in Fl generation. The results were as follows, based on the graphical analysis, the characters, plant height, stem diameter, fruit weight, leaf length, leaf width, and fruit number per plant(yield) were assumed to inherit dominance, and fruit length and fruit diameter were found to inherit incomplete dominance. The degree of positive heterosis of plant height, stem diameter, fruit weight, fruit length, fruit diameter, leaf length, leaf width, and fruit diameter, leaf width, leaf length, fruit weight, and stem diameter showed negative heterobeltiosis.

  • The smash product algebra has been generalized to general smash product algebra in [3] and we can generalize the smash coproduct coalgebra to obtain the general smash coproduct coalgebra. It is natural to replace the smash product and smash coproduct by the generalized smash product and generalized smash coproduct and consider the condition under which the generalized smash product algebra structure and the generalized smash coproduct coalgebra structure will inherit a bialgebra structure or a Hopf algebra structure. We derive necessary sufficient conditions for the problem. This generalizes the corresponding results in [7] and [4].

  • We present a finite difference method for solving the Ohta-Kawasaki model, representing a model of mesoscopic phase separation for the block copolymer. The numerical methods for solving the Ohta-Kawasaki model need to inherit the mass conservation and energy dissipation properties. We prove these characteristic properties and solvability and unconditionally gradient stability of the scheme by using Hessian matrices of a discrete functional. We present numerical results that validate the mass conservation, and energy dissipation, and unconditional stability of the method.

  • The computer users who desire the comprehensive use of an advanced network system which permits to link the diversified types of computer from one to others, still tend to increase in number. However, one of the ways to install a highly reliable facilities relative to the network system is to inherit the know-how preserved in the specific technology. Therefore, we will propose the solution of this problem. This paper describes COMNETS, an expert system for constructing distributed networks.

  • This paper establishes necessary and sufficient conditions for a bi-amalgamation to inherit the S-Noetherian property. The new results compare to previous works carried on various settings of duplications and amalgamations, and capitalize on recent results on bi-amalgamations. Our results allow us to construct new and original examples of rings satisfying the S-Noetherian property.

  • In this paper, we propose a method for simplifying the modeling of 'walk' for various instances of quadruped and easily extending the model of 'walk' for the instance of new subordinate class which is not defined in the original class hierarchy by using the sophisticatedly modeled 'walk' of quadruped. To achieve this method, we apply the analyzed pattern of walk and classification according to the structural similarity of quadruped studied in the previous researches to the class hierarchy and propose a method for inheriting the actions of super class. This paper model the 'walk' of quadruped by concertizing the characteristics of quadruped and defining the necessary factors and appropriate domains in terms of parameters of 'walk' and apply the model to the horse and cow, typical instances of quadruped.

  • Through text mining, sentiment analysis, and semiotics analysis, this study aims to reinterpret the meaning of user emotional words and related words to derive strategic elements of brand and design. After selecting a local car manufacturer whose user opinion on the brand is a clear topic, web-crawl the car comments of the manufacturer directly created by the users online. Then, analyze the extracted morphology and its associated words and convert them to fit the marketing mix theory. Through this process, propose a methodology that allows consumers to supplement and improve brand elements with negative sensibilities, and to inherit elements with positive sensibilities and manage brands reasonably. In particular, the Map presented in this study are considered to be fully utilized as information for overall brand management.

  • This paper presents a phase-based stereo matching algorithm in order to efficiently extract 3-dimensional objects from two 2D images. Conventional phase-based methods, especially using windowed Fourier phases, inherit good properties in the cage of hierarchical approaches, because they basically use a multi-resolution phase map. On the contrary, their computational cost is too heavy. Therefore, a fast hierarchical approach, using multi-resolution phase-based strategy and reducing redundancies of phase calculations based on FFT concept is proposed in this paper. In addition, a structural matching algorithm on the phase domain is presented to improve the matching quality. In experimental results. it is shown that the computation loads are considerably reduced about 8 times and stable outputs are obtained from various images.
