일부 의사들의 직무스트레스와 관련 요인 (Job Stress and Its Related Factors in South Korean Doctors)

  • Objective : To investigate the sources, extent and related factors in South Korean doctors. Methods : The study subjects were 934 doctors in Taegu, Kyungpook Province, Korea(540 independent practitioners, 105 employed at hospitals and 289 residents in training). Information concerning job stress was obtained using a 9-item questionnaire. Information regarding related factors such as demographic characteristics(age, sex, marital status), perceptions on the socioeconomic status of doctors and working conditions(work time, on-call days per week) was also obtained by self-administered questionnaire during April and May, 2000. Results : Major sources of job stress included clnical responsibility/judgement factor, patient factor and work loading factor. The job stress score of residents was the highest among three groups. The score was lower in older doctors. The score was low among those who thought doctors' socioeconomic status was not good. The longer the work time, the higher the job stress score was. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to control for the mutual influence of independent variables. In regression analysis, the score of residents was higher than practitioners. Work time and socioeconomic status perception had negative effects on job stress score. Conclusion : The average job stress score of the doctors was high. Age, work type, working conditions and perceptions of socioeconomic status were found to besignificantly related to job stress score. Although the job stress of doctors is somewhat inevitable due to the nature of the doctor's job, control of work time, development of coping tools and other intervention methods are needed to reduce job stress of doctors. Further studies are required to understand the characteristics of iob stress and reduce the job stress of doctors.

A Study on Perception of Librarian's Job Prospects

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate awareness of librarian's job prospects, and to do this a survey was conducted with 502 college students in 14 Departments of Library and Information Science around Korea and 753 librarians in libraries and related agencies. The study results are as follows. First, satisfaction with educational curriculum was higher in students than librarians. Second, both students and librarians regarded workplace based practical training as employment requirements and also evaluated certifications and academic performance as important requirements. Third, both groups asked that information on employment rates be available in a timely manner, and perceived that the librarian's job prospects were not bright. Therefore, in order to improve employment of librarians, it will be necessary to establish a job information system, reorganize the current educational curriculum into a practice-oriented curriculum, and introduce the national curriculum statements (NCS)-based curriculum.

An Exploratory Approach to Discovering Salary-Related Wording in Job Postings in Korea

  • Online recruitment websites discuss job demands in various fields, and job postings contain detailed job specifications. Analyzing this text can elucidate the features that determine job salaries. Text embedding models can learn the contextual information in a text, and explainable artificial intelligence frameworks can be used to examine in detail how text features contribute to the models' outputs. We collected 733,625 job postings using the WORKNET API and classified them into low, mid, and high-range salary groups. A text embedding model that predicts job salaries based on the text in job postings was trained with the collected data. Then, we applied the SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) framework to the trained model and discovered the significant words that determine each salary class. Several limitations and remaining words are also discussed.

작업치료사의 임상 경력에 따른 작업치료직무 중요도에 관한 조사 (A Survey on the Job Importance of Occupational Therapists According to Length of Clinical Career)

  • Purpose : This study examined the differences in occupational therapists' jobs depending on their past clinical careers using a survey of the importance of occupational therapy tasks in South Korea. This survey sought to provide fundamental data for strengthening occupational therapists' capacities and developing clinical training programs for therapists' future careers. Methods : An online survey was used to collect data from 93 South Korean occupational therapists. The subjects were divided into three groups for the analysis of the importance of occupational therapy tasks, depending on the length of their clinical careers: less than 3 years, from 4 to 6 years, and over 7 years. Results : A within-groups comparison of task importance found that "occupational therapy evaluation" was most important in all three groups. In between-groups comparisons, "patient information check", "assessment planning and establishment", "sensory function assessment", "social skills assessment", "developmental function improvement", "basic daily activities training", "social skills improvement", and "patient education" demonstrated statistically significant differences (p<.05). Each group showed different priorities. In the less-than-3-years group, "understanding of patient's needs" was most important, followed by "arm function improvement", "arm function assessment", "nerve, musculoskeletal, and motor-related functional improvement", and "basic daily activities training". In the 4-to-6-years group, "arm function assessment" was most important, followed by "basic daily activities assessment", "patient's needs", "arm function improvement", and "patient information check". In the over-7-years group, "understanding of patient's needs" was most important, followed by "patient information check", "basic daily activities assessment", "basic daily activities training", and "sensory function assessment". Conclusion : This study found that what occupational therapists consider important in their jobs varies according to their past clinical career and that occupational therapists with more than 7 years' experience are more aware of the importance of diverse fields of occupational therapy. Differentiated education that considers length of career and a range of training programs for more experienced occupational therapists will be needed in the future.

구조방정식모형을 이용한 간호장교의 직무만족도 관련요인 분석 (Analysis of the Related Factors on Job Satisfaction in Nursing Officers Using the Structural Equation Model)

  • 본 연구는 간호장교의 인구사회학적 및 직업관련 특성에 따른 직업전문성 인식도, 직무스트레스, 사회적 지지 및 직무만족도 수준을 알아보고, 직업전문성 인식도와 직무스트레스 및 사회적 지지가 직무 만족도에 미치는 영향을 규명해 보고자 시도하였다. 조사대상은 전국 16개 군병원에 근무하는 육군 간호장교 542명으로 하였으며, 조사는 2010년 10월 1일부터 2010년 11월 30일까지의 기간 동안에 구조화된 무기명 자기기입식 설문지를 이용한 설문조사에 의하였다. 연구결과, 조사대상자의 직무만족도는 연령이 높을수록, 기혼군, 주관적인 수면의 질이 좋다는 군, 주관적인 건강상태가 좋을수록, 직위가 높을수록, 근무경력이 길수록, 업무의 신체적 부담정도가 적당하다는 군, 업무에 만족한다는 군, 직업에 대한 적성이 맞는다는 군, 직업전환의사가 없다는 군에서 유의하게 높았다. 조사대상자의 직무만족도는 직업전문성 인식도, 사회적 지지와는 유의한 양의 상관관계를 보인 반면, 직무스트레스와는 유의한 음의 상관관계를 보였다. 공분산 구조분석 결과, 직업전문성 인식도는 직무스트레스나 사회적 지지 보다 직무만족도에 더 큰 영향을 미쳤으며, 직업전문성 인식도와 사회적 지지가 높을수록, 직무스트레스가 낮을수록 직무만족도를 증가시키는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 직업전문성 인식도와 사회적 지지가 높을수록 직무스트레스 요인을 감소시키는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

보육교사의 플로리시와 영유아권리존중보육 간 영향 관계에서 자기주도직무설계의 조절효과 탐색 (Exploring the Moderating Effect of Job Crafting in the Relationship between Child-care Teachers' Flourish and Care that Respects the Rights of Child)

  • 보육교사 직무의 중요성은 최근 대전환적 사회 환경 변화로 인해 크게 부각되고 있지만 수행 여건이 상당히 열악하여 다양한 직무요인 측면의 관리가 필요한 상황이다. 그에 본 연구는 보육교사와 관련된 실무적 활용과 제도적 지원을 위한 정보 제공을 목적으로 플로리시, 영유아권리존중보육, 자기주도직무설계를 선택하여 기능적 영향관계와 효용성을 검증하였다. 이들 변수를 활용하여 보육교사를 대상으로 이루어진 국내 연구가 부존하기 때문에 보육교사 223명을 대상으로 위계적회귀분석 등을 실시하여 시초적 정보를 취득하였다. 분석결과, 연령대에 따른 플로리시, 근무시간에 따른 부정적 직무요구 감소만 집단별 평균 차이가 확인되었고, 플로리시가 영유아권리존중보육에 선행하며 정적(+) 영향력을 미치는 것으로 파악되었다. 그리고 자기주도직무설계 중 사회적 직무자원 증진이 조절효과를 나타내는 것으로 판명되었다. 따라서 본 연구가 제공한 정보를 토대로 직무 관리 전략을 새롭게 마련하고 실효성 높은 요인별 강화 프로그램이 필요하다.

전국 병원영양사의 직무만족도 현황 및 관련요인 (Job Satisfaction Level and Related Factors among Korean Hospital Dietitians)

  • The objective of this study was to examine job satisfaction status and its related factors among dietitians working in hospitals. A survey questionnaire was sent to dietitians working in tertiary, general, and convalescent hospitals in Korea. The study sample hospitals included all tertiary hospitals (n=43), and the sample of general hospitals (n=114) and convalescent hospitals (n=240) was randomly selected using a stratified sampling method. A total of 665 dietitians completed the survey questionnaire. The questionnaire included 27 job satisfaction questions on task, stability vision, working conditions, and relationship areas, and the questions on task improvement need. The job satisfaction scores in all four areas ranged from 2.53/5.00 to 3.89/5.00, implying generally low job satisfaction level in hospital dietitians. The job satisfaction levels in the convalescent hospital group were significantly lower compared to those in the tertiary and general hospital groups. Whereas job satisfaction levels of tertiary and convalescent hospital groups did not differ by number of beds, those of the general hospital group increased significantly with the number of beds for all four areas. Multivariate regression analysis results showed that hospital type was a significant predictor of job satisfaction level for all four areas. Job satisfaction of relationship area was also significantly affected by the number of beds, whereas that of working conditions was influenced by annual income and working experience. The study findings provide useful information in planning clinical dietitians' optimal supply outlook for the improvement of clinical nutrition services.

패션관련 직업 유형과 성격특성과의 관계 (The Relationship between Personal Traits and the Type of Fashion-related Occupations)

  • Studying employees' personality and relationship to their job would help to improve high unemployment and turnover rate in the current Korean fashion and textile industry. Based on personality which is an important influential factor, this research studied types of fashion and textile-related occupations and differences among employees' personalities related to the types. Using disclosed data from Korea Employment Information Service, 27 fashion and textile-related occupations were selected for the final analysis. Ward's Minimum Variance Cluster Analysis, MANOVA, and ANOVA by SAS 9.3 was used to analyze data. First, fashion and textile-related occupations were classified into three groups. Group 1 was mostly consisted of occupations related to manufacturing process of fashion and textile including mechanical technicians. Group 2 included occupations in garment designing and manufacturing. Designers and manufacturers including shoes, bags, and jewelry belong to group 3. Second, after observing differences in personalities among the three groups, group 1 answered that most of the personalities were not important for performance of their duties, group 2 said that only some of them were important, and group 3 regarded most of them as important. Specifically, group 1 considered precision as the most important personality but rest of the personalities not as necessary. It was revealed that personalities in relationship with other personnel such as sociality and leadership were not important. The results in this study will be used for analyzing whether job seekers' desired occupations in fashion field corresponds to their personalities and is expected to become a basic data of students' career counseling for educators.

문헌정보학 전공자의 선호 직업 및 준비성 실태 분석 연구 (An Analysis on Preferred Occupation and its Readiness to Students in Dept. of Library & Information Science)

  • 본 연구는 문헌정보학 전공학생들의 취업가능 및 취업 희망직업에 대한 인식과 취업 요건 및 준비성 실태 등을 분석하고 문제점을 파악하여 개선방안을 제언하기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 4년제 대학교의 문헌정보학과들에서 조사, 발표한직업분야와 취업률을 살펴보고, 이를 토대로 K대학교 문헌정보학과 재학생 107명을 대상으로 문헌정보학 학부 학생들의 선호 직업군과 직업준비성 실태를 분석하였다. 연구결과, 문헌정보학과 학부 학생들이 진출가능하다고 한 직업은 49개 직업으로 나타났으며, 전체의 82.1%를 차지하는 (1)-(20) 순위 직업에서 사서직군은 29.2%로 낮은 반면, 여타의 직업은 52.9%로 높았다. 그러나 자신의 진출희망 직업에서는 전체의 96%를 차지하는 (1)-(20)순위 직업에서 사서직군 45.8%, 여타의 직업이 50.6%로 나타나 실제 진출희망 직업에서는 사서직군에 대한 선호가 다소 높아지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 취업 요건을 종교, 어학, 학업성적, 자격증, 경력으로 구분, 취업공고에 나타난 지원요건과 준비성을 조사한 결과, 전체의 92%가 보통 또는 미흡한 것으로 파악되었다. 이를 토대로, 전공자의 사회적 역량확대와 취업률 향상을 위해 전공 관련 다양한 직업을 학생들에게 소개하고 지도할 것과 케이스 바이 케이스(case-by-case) 개념의 취업지도를 시행할 것 등을 제언하였다.

일부 대형빌딩 근무자에서 sick building syndrome의 위험요인에 관한 연구 (Sick Building Syndrome and the Related Factors in Office Workers)

  • A cross-sectional study was conducted to investigate the prevalence and risk factors for symptoms associated with sick building syndrome in four office buildings located in Seoul. Information on personal factors, job-related factors, and medical history were collected using self-administered questionnaires modified from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health Indoor Air Quality questionnaire in 321 office workers in these buildings. The prevalence of general and irritant symptom groups was higher than the prevalence of dermatologic and respiratory symptom groups. Daily total work time, work time in the office, and work time with video display terminals (VDT) were identified as the risk factors for symptom groups associated with sick building syndrome by multiple linear logistic regression analysis. In conclusion, these results indicated that the symptom prevalence in this study is similar with the results reported from previous studies conducted in other countries and work time and work with VDT are related to sick building syndrome in Korea.
