Dental Pulp Stem Cell: A review of factors that influence the therapeutic potential of stem cell isolates

  • Undifferentiated stem cells are being studied to obtain information on the therapeutic potential of isolates that are produced. Dental Pulp Stem Ccell (DPSC) may provide an abundant supply of highly proliferative, multipotent Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSC), which are now known to be capable of regenerating a variety of human tissues including bone and other dental structures. Many factors influence DPSC quality and quantity, including the specific methods used to isolate, collect, concentrate, and store these isolates once they are removed. Ancillary factors, such as the choice of media, the selection of early versus late passage cells, and cryopreservation techniques may also influence the differentiation potential and proliferative capacity of DPSC isolates. This literature review concludes that due to the delicate nature of DPSC, more research is needed for dental researchers and clinicians to more fully explore the feasibility and potential for isolating and culturing DPSCs extracted from adult human teeth in order to provide more accurate and informed advice for this newly developing field of regenerative medicine.

  • 차량용 블랙박스는 음성과 영상 그리고 자동차의 다양한 정보를 저장하는 매체이며 이러한 정보를 바탕으로 사고의 재구성이 가능해 최근 자동차 시장에서 주목을 받고 있다. 또한 대중교통 중심으로 블랙박스의 장착이 확산되면서 수년 내에 시장은 더욱 커질 전망이다. 본 연구는 차량용 블랙박스 구매결정에 영향을 미치는 요인의 대한 선호도를 분석하였다. 블랙박스 구매결정 요인을 안전성, 기능성, 차별성, 경제성으로 구분하였다. 실증적 분석을 위해 블랙박스 관련회사 직원을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 수집된 설문지를 분석하였다. 분석결과를 바탕으로 블랙박스 구매결정과 관련된 실무적 의의를 논의하였다.

  • This paper intends to increase the performance of export support programs for small-to-medium sized firms promoted by Korea government. A research construct is suggested for effective government support program targeted on the global marketing capability. The data is collected from the firms received the support more than once by Korean governments. The results are shown as follows. First, it is found that those firms who have high propensity to be involved in export business have shown high performance. Second, the firms with high global marketing capability have shown good performance. To be more specific, organizational commitment, strategic initiative, business differentiation, and market knowledge for target markets are found to be critical factors in successful export support program. The business differentiation strategy in target market is very critical. Finally, the degree of program management effectiveness is found to be important in high performance firms. It means that for those firms, much more advanced programs need to be developed. The government should develop diversified programs by considering the degree of global marketing capability.

한방건강검진 소프트웨어 개발에 관한 연구 (Study on the Development of a Questionnaire Software for Health Examination in Oriental Medicine)

  • General health exanimation comes into operation to focus on physical inspection for industrial workers and doesn't contain oriental health care. Thus we need information of health status and disease prevention, so develop a questionnaire software for health examination in oriental medicine. Items of this soft ware consists of personal information and symptoms to could check oneself , pulse and tongue diagnosis by oriental medical doctor. Symptoms are made up of syndrome differentiation about Qi and blood, Yin and Yang, body fluid, five Zang organs, Sasang Constitutional Medicine. And we reconstruct 116 items by whole body, chest and abdomen, urine and feces, head, limbs, waist and back, five sensory organs, objective signs. A subject enter symptoms and a oriental medical doctor input diagnosis of pulse and tongue, then this software return the result of health index and explanation for oriental health care. This software would be used as tool not only health examination but also clinical research.

기업전략과 지식경영 전략의 연계가 제조기업의 혁신에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of the Knowledge Management Strategic Alignment on the Innovation of Manufacturing Firms)

  • This study empirically investigated the effects of knowledge management(KM) strategic alignment on the KM activities as well as the product and process innovation of manufacturing firms. Based on the framework, which employs the usage levels of target costing systems(TCS) and information technology(IT) infrastructure, four types of KM strategies were identified and proposed:mixed, explorative, exploitative and negative strategies. In this research, these four types of KM strategies were empirically validated. According to the results of this study, it was found that when a explorative KM strategy is aligned with a low-cost strategy, KM activities are activated and the degree of a process innovation is increased. It was observed that in the case of the alignment between a differentiation strategy and a exploitative KM strategy, both KM activities and the level of a product innovation are enhanced. The results also demonstrated that for the enhancement of both a process and a product innovation through the activation of KM activities, a mixed KM strategy must be aligned with a composite business strategy, which focuses on a low-cost as well as a differentiation strategies. Accordingly, it is concluded that the KM activities and the levels of the product and process innovation can be activated or improved with the alignment of the KM strategies and business strategies.

  • 홈 네트워크에서 다양한 응용(application) 트래픽(traffic) 간의 차등화 된 서비스를 제공하기 위해서 트래픽 변화에 따라 적응적으로 우선순위(priority)를 재할당하는 알고리즘을 제안하고, FPGA를 이용하여 구현하였다. 제안된 구조는 QoS를 위한 부가적인 시그널링 프로토콜이 없이도 네트워크 트래픽 조절이 가능하도록 설계되었고, 또한 홈 네트워크 트래픽을 그 특징에 따라 제어 데이터 트래픽, 일반 인터넷이나 데이터 트래픽, 그리고 멀티미디어 데이터 트래픽으로 분류하고 이를 네트워크 트래픽 상황에 적응적으로 차등화 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 설계되었다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제시한 알고리즘의 성능을 검증하고 FPGA구현을 통하여 실현가능성을 제시하였다.

Differentiation of four Mycobacterium Species using DNA-DNA Hybridization Method using Specific Probes

  • DNA-DNA hybridization method with four oligonucleotide-specific probes was used simultaneously for differentiation and identification of four Mycobacterium species (Mycobacterium tuberculosis, M. avium, M. intracellulare, and M. kansasii). This DNA-DNA hybridization method with 4 oligonucleotide-specific probes, which targets in the rpoB region of 4 Mycobacteria species, respectively, was tested on 322 clinical isolates. Using DNA-DNA hybridization method, we detected M. tuberculosis (282 strains), M. avim (7 strains), M. intracellulare (9 strains), and M. kansasii (3 strain) from 322 clinical isolates. This result was compared with conventional biochemical test and rpoB DNA sequence analysis of this clinical isolates. We confirmed identification of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, M. avium, M. intracellulare, and M. kansasii with high sensitivity (100 %) and specificity (100 %). This DNA-DNA hybridization method could be performed within 4 hours at least. Therefore, we suggest that DNA- DNA hybridization method using 4 rpoB DNA probes of Mycobacteria could be used for accurate, rapid, convenient detection and identification of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, M. avium, M. intracellulare, and M. kansasii in clinical samples.

On the Characteristics of MSE-Optimal Symmetric Scalar Quantizers for the Generalized Gamma, Bucklew-Gallagher, and Hui-Neuhoff Sources

  • The paper studies characteristics of the minimum mean-square error symmetric scalar quantizers for the generalized gamma, Bucklew-Gallagher and Hui-Neuhoff probability density functions. Toward this goal, asymptotic formulas for the inner- and outermost thresholds, and distortion are derived herein for nonuniform quantizers for the Bucklew-Gallagher and Hui-Neuhoff densities, parallelling the previous studies for the generalized gamma density, and optimal uniform and nonuniform quantizers are designed numerically and their characteristics tabulated for integer rates up to 20 and 16 bits, respectively, except for the Hui-Neuhoff density. The assessed asymptotic formulas are found consistently more accurate as the rate increases, essentially making their asymptotic convergence to true values numerically acceptable at the studied bit range, except for the Hui-Neuhoff density, in which case they are still consistent and suggestive of convergence. Also investigated is the uniqueness problem of the differentiation method for finding optimal step sizes of uniform quantizers: it is observed that, for the commonly studied densities, the distortion has a unique local minimizer, hence showing that the differentiation method yields the optimal step size, but also observed that it leads to multiple solutions to numerous generalized gamma densities.

Success Factors Analysis of Domestic Franchise Business - A Study on the CEO of Kwangju and Jeonnams -

  • In this paper, We conducted to find out what factors may affect the development of franchise businesses by reviewing the success factors of the domestic franchise business. The research was conducted by the CEOs of Gwangju and Jeonnam Franchise Business and a total of 137 items were used in the empirical analysis. Factors influencing success of the franchise business were designed in five areas : ability of the franchise CEO, franchise system, brand management, capacity of the parent store, and product differentiation. We conducted multiple regression analysis and simple regression analysis for the research assumptions, Validation of the relationship between variables revealed that the ability of the franchise CEOs, franchise systems, brand management, and product differentiation did not significantly affect the increase in member sales, so the ability of the shareholders to increase their sales was important. However, the impact on revenue growth at franchise headquarters has all been significant, The increase in sales of franchises has a significant influence on the increase in profits of franchise headquarters, the report said. It was also found that an increase in the sales of franchises has a significant influence on the success of franchises. Finally, it was revealed that increasing profits at franchise headquarters significantly affects the success of the franchise business.
