이사회 독립성과 이사회 관여: 정보 제공 및 공유를 중심으로 (Examination of Board Independence and Board Involvement: The Role of Information Provision and Sharing)

  • There is a growing awareness about the role of the board of directors in decision making, which is crucial to vitalize board activities in Korean firms. Given the academic and social needs, the current study is designed to identify the relationship between board independence and the board involvement of directors, highlighting the important aspects of information provision from diverse channels and information sharing among external directors. In this study, I include not only traditional variables to address the structural independence of the board but also the information provision and information sharing variables to explain how external directors, on average, are involved in board decisions. The research results from 136 Korean business samples show positive relationships between board independence and board involvement, but the influence of information provision and sharing proves to be significant in increasing the level of the board involvement of external directors. These findings suggest that active communication and information sharing among external directors, as well as an independent structural design for the board of directors, are important factors to improve the level of board involvement. Based on these results, the current paper provides theoretical and practical implications for corporate governance and knowledge management. Future research directions and limitations are also discussed.

  • According as the drivers increase who have their cars, the comprehensive studies on the automobile for the traffic safety have been raised as the important problems. Visual Recognition System for radio-controled driving is a part of the sensor processor of Unmanned Autonomous Vehicle System. When a driver drives his car on an unknown highway or general road, it produces a model from the successively inputted road traffic information. The suggested Recognition System of the Road Traffic Safety Information Board is to recognize and distinguish automatically a Road Traffic Safety Information Board as one of road traffic information. The whole processes of Recognition System of the Road Traffic Safety Information Board suggested in this study are as follows. We took the photographs of Road Traffic Safety Information Board with a digital camera in order to get an image and normalize bitmap image file with a size of $200{\times}200$ byte with Photo Shop 5.0. The existing True Color is made up the color data of sixteen million kinds. We changed it with 256 Color, because it has large capacity, and spend much time on calculating. We have practiced works of 30 times with erosion and dilation algorithm to remove unnecessary images. We drawing out original image with the Region Splitting Technique as a kind of segmentation. We made three kinds of grouping(Attention Information Board, Prohibit Information Board, and Introduction Information Board) by RYB( Red, Yellow, Blue) color segmentation. We minimized the image size of board, direction, and the influence of rounding. We also minimized the Influence according to position. and the brightness of light and darkness with Eigen Vector and Eigen Value. The data sampling this feature value appeared after building the learning Code Book Database. The suggested Recognition System of the Road Traffic Safety Information Board firstly distinguished three kinds of groups in the database of learning Code Book, and suggested in order to recognize after comparing and judging the board want to recognize within the same group with Nearest Neighborhood Decision Making.

Exploring the Association between Board Structure and Information Security Breaches

  • Although the area of information security planning and management has gained an increased attention, not much discussion was available on the role and the impact of the board members towards a firm's security management and governance decisions. In this research, we draw on corporate governance and the organizational demography literature to conduct an exploratory empirical study on the association between the board structure of a firm and the possibility of information security breaches. Our results show that the board size, the average age/tenure and the heterogeneity of age could reduce the possibility of security breaches while the proportion of independent directors and the heterogeneity of tenure could increase it. Our findings shed lights on the important role played by the board when managing information security risks in organizations.

  • This thesis proposed a method that connecting step motor to image send board which can acquire image to move and remote controlling via streaming image board of PDA(personal digital assistant) based on embedded Linux which is using wireless network There are three embedded Linux system to embody movable image send board. First, though the wireless network a signal of PDA is transmitted to the board which has embedded Linux and a system which is controlled by the expansion I/O port of the board. Second, it's a system streaming realtime image at a PDA which has embedded Linux. The last is a system which controls a process of image board using TCP/IP communication and image send board at PC. These are the system which can use industrial settings and homes. It can also make use of an embodiment method about travelling image robot.

A study on Automatic field Test Equipment with improved maintenance and environmental reliability

  • In this paper, I purpose one of the development methods for portable Automatic field Test Equipment(ATE) with VME form factor. Almost portable ATE have not used to standards form factor and they are connected by mechanical non-rigid general connectors and wire harnesses among the components. Furthermore, it is hard to reuse developed board. So, it decreases to reusability of developed board and it is hard to maintenance of ATE. Even those things have weakness for vibration and drop test especially in portable ATE. The XK9A1 ATE using VME form factor has environmental reliability through vibration, drop, temperature test. It consists of 5 developed board called the control board, the wire & wireless communication board, the power supply board, the load board and the mother board. It is connected by two wire harnesses between mother board and extern circular connectors. The control board send the data and address to other board though each 16-bit data and 20-bit address line. You can develop the function board what you want to using those data & address line when it comes to needing other function board.

고수동굴 관람대상물의 안내판에 대한 문제점 고찰 (Consideration of the Problems with the Information Board of Gosu Cave's Viewing Objects)

  • 개방 동굴 내의 안내판은 지형지물에 대한 명칭이나 설명문을 포함되어 있으며, 동굴을 찾는 관광객에게 중요한 정보를 전달하는 매체로서의 역할을 하고 있다. 그러나 실제로 명칭 및 안내문에는 많은 오류를 비롯하여 관람객에게 혼동을 주거나 올바르지 않은 정보를 제공하는 결과를 초래하고 있다. 이러한 정보전달의 매체로서의 중요성을 인식하고 그 문제점을 파악하였다. 첫째, 대부분 동굴 지형의 학술적 명칭보다는 지형지물의 형태에 따른 추상적인 명칭이 부여되고 있다. 둘째, 대부분의 지형지물에 대한 명칭만이 부여되어 학술적 설명문이 미약하여 정보 매체로서의 역할이 부족하다. 셋째, 설명문의 경우, 잘못된 표현이나 오류가 보이며, 학술적으로 논란이 있는 부분을 객관적이지 못한 설명이 되어있다.

임베디드 보드를 이용한 미아 위치 정보 시스템 (Place Information System for Missing Children using Embedded Board)

  • In this paper, we implement a place information system for missing children using embedded board. In the implementation, the embedded board receives location information from GPS satellites, parsing GGA information which includes current time and location coordinates from the satellite information and sends them to the location management server. The server locates a missing child using the location information from embedded board together with server database. We implement an application program for the system. The program shows current location of a child and its moving path and browses the corresponding map from coordinates mapping.

  • 본 논문에서는 LMS나 고비용의 콘텐츠를 사용하지 않고 기본적인 상호작용 도구인 게시판을 개선하여 블렌디드 러닝에서 학습효과를 향상 시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시한다. 제안한 E-BoardII는 게시판의 기능을 개선하여 학습자의 성취 정도의 실시간 점검, 피드백 기능 수행, 수업 콘텐츠의 자동 생산 및 실시간 활용, 학습 동기 부여 및 분위기 환기 등의 효과를 가진다.

지능형 교통체제에서 차량 단말장치의 DSRC 통신기술 설계 (The Design for DSRC Communication Technology of On Board Equipment in the Intelligent Transport System)

  • DSRC system is a communication system that consists of road side equipment and on board equipment to provide services of communication technology for intelligent transportation systems. In this paper, we carry out a short-range dedicated high-speed wireless communications via DSRC system based on board equipment that is installed in the vehicle and road side equipment through wireless channels of communication. on board equipment is system that have a memory which initialization information is stored, it loads physical layer and MAC layer, LLC layer, L7 layer in turn. In the upper, it should analyze the various commands that are sent from roadside base stations, and carry out the operation which is in accordance with the command. and also it designs the structure of protocol stack which is TRM Layer loaded that is to initialize on L7 layer and MAC layer and efficiently designs operation between on board equipment and the road side equipment.

사물인터넷 기반 수배전반 상태 모니터링 시스템 (Distributing Board Monitoring System based on Internet of Things)

  • 수배전반 전기사고 사전 예방을 위해 전기 관리자가 시간과 장소에 구애받지 않고 전력설비의 상태를 실시간으로 감시할 수 있는 시스템 개발이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 사물인터넷 기반 수배전반 상태 모니터링 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 기존 수배전반 및 제어반 등에 설치하여 수배전반 및 제어반의 상태정보와 제어정보를 인터넷망과 연결된 클라우드 서버와 근거리 무선통신망으로 실시간 전송된다. 관리자는 관리자 단말기를 통해 언제, 어디서나 상태정보 모니터링을 신속하고 용이하게 관리할 수 있으며, 수배전반 상태정보의 성능평가 결과 판정기준 ${\pm}5%$ 이내 오차범위 내의 측정결과를 얻었다.
