  • Secretory carcinoma is a very rare tumor of the breast, having characteristic histologic findings. A cytologic study of a secretory carcinoma is presented. The smears were abundant in tumor cells which were arranged in loosely adherent or large tight clusters in clear background. The individual cells were round or oval, monomorphic, and had abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm. The cytoplasm showed distinct borders and single or fine vacuolization. The nuclei were peripherally located, oval, and vesicular with small prominent nucleoli. As in histology, the cytologic features were so characteristic that a diagnosis of secretory carcinoma could be made by ctyologic study only.

  • We often have multiple quality characteristics to develop, improve and optimize industrial processes and products. It is not easy to find optimal control factor setting when there are multiple quality characteristics, since there will be conflict among the selected levels of the control factors for each individual quality characteristic. In this paper we propose a desirability function approach and devise a scheme which gives a systematic way of solving multiple quality characteristic problems. A numerical example is provided.

  • This paper proposes a stochastic modeling of plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) distribution in power systems, and analyzes the corresponding clustering characteristic. It is essential for power utilities to estimate the PEV charging demand as the penetration level of PEV is expected to increase rapidly in the near future. Although the distribution of PEVs in power systems is the primary factor for estimating the PEV charging demand, the data currently available are statistics related to fuel-driven vehicles and to existing electric demands in power systems. In this paper, we calculate the number of households using electricity at individual ending buses of a power system based on the electric demands. Then, we estimate the number of PEVs per household using the probability density function of PEVs derived from the given statistics about fuel-driven vehicles. Finally, we present the clustering characteristic of the PEV distribution via case studies employing the test systems.

  • This reserch is to compare and analyze of the residence disposition and feature of ground plan on Seomi 2 Dong in An-dong and Hyun-ri in Mun-gyong. The scope of this reserch concentrated on 33-housed which are 12-housed in Seomi 2 Dong and 21-housed in Hyun-ri. The focus of this reserch is mainly to investigate the characteristic of the site, and ground plans on individual houses. As result of it, there are mostly Yeo-Kan houses (six spans sized) on Seomi 2-dong village in An-Dong on the other hand there are a lot of Straight-Houses in Hyun-ri in Mun-gyong. Otherwise in characteristic of residence, There is dissimilarity between Seomi 2-dong which located in mountainous districts has space organization of utilitarian and Hyun-Ri has justification primacy as a farm village.

  • This paper aims at presenting robustness analysis under the uncertainties of the time delay and plant parameters in symmetrically coupled dynamic systems connected through network having time delay. The delay-involved closed loop characteristic function is mathematically formulated, incorporated with active synchronization control. And the robust stability of the corresponding system is analyzed by investigating the formation of characteristic equation containing second- order terms of uncertainty variables representing delay and plant dynamics mismatches. For the two individual types of uncertainties, we elucidate details of how to compute the bounds and what they imply physically. To support the validity of the mathematical claims, numerical examples and simulations are presented.

  • The purpose of parameter design is to determine optimal settings of design parameters of a product or a process such that the performance characteristics of a product exhibit small variabilities around their target values. Taguchi made significant contributions in this area. However, his analysis of the problem focused on only one performance characteristic or response, although in product and process design, multiple characteristics are more common. The critical problem in dealing with multiple characteristics is how to compromise the conflict among the selected levels of the design parameters for each individual characteristic. In this paper, Methodology using SN ratio optimized by univariate technique is proposed and a parameter design procedure to achieve the optimal balance among several different response variables is developed. Existing case studies are solved by the proposed method and the results are compared with ones by the sum of SN ratios, the expected weighted loss, the desirability function, and EXTOPSIS model.

  • This paper presents a new algorithm of optimal measurement system by using band matrix characteristic respectively for state estimation. A performance index of measurement system is established to reflect relation among measurement sets, probability of measurement failure and cost of individual meter installation. Selection ranking in the candidates of measurement sets is composed to guarantee the observability for any any single meter outage. Performance index sensitivity is introduced and recursive formula which based on the matrix inversion lemma used for selection. The proposed algorithm is composed of successive addition algorithm, successive elimination algorithm and combinatorial algorithm. The band matrix characteristic could save in memory requirements and calculate the performance index faster than earlier.

  • Taguchi's robust design methodology has focus only a single characteristic or response, but the quality of most products is seldom defined by a characteristics, and is rather the composite of a family of characteristics which are often interrelated and nearly always measured in a variety of units. The multiple characteristics problem is how to compromise the conflicts among the selected levels of the design parameters for each individual characteristic. In this paper, Methodology using SN ratio optimized by univariate technique is proposed and a parameter design procedure to achieve the optimal compromise among several different response variables is developed. Also, We propose a decision model to incorporates the values assigned by a group of experts on different factors in weighting decision. Using this model, SN ratio of taguchi method for each of subjective factors as well as values of weights are used in this comprehensive method for weighting decision.

  • This study was designed to find what impacts store attributes and personal characteristics have had on customer loyalty to beauty shops. Participants were 283 men and women who had experienced services in beauty shops and selected from the Metropolitan area, Busan, Gyeongbuk area, Gyeongnam area, Chungcheong area, and other area. In conclusion, technical factor and lifestyle have had the greatest impact on customer loyalty to beauty shops. In beauty market faced with keen competition, the way to meet customers' needs is to run a distinguished beauty shop with distinct beauty techniques in consideration of individual lifestyle. This will help raise customer loyalty to beauty shops. This study has the important implication that personal characteristics as well as store attributes has been proved to be essential for increasing customer loyalty to beauty shops. I hope that future studies will continue to examine different marketing factors by different beauty shops, with additional analysis on the details, contributing to make a marketing strategy available for beauty shop owners.
