플립러닝 기반 공학수업 개선 방안 연구 - 국내 C대학 공학수업 운영 사례를 중심으로 - (A Study on Improvement of Flipped Learning-based Engineering Course - Focused on Engineering Course Cases at C university -)

  • This study analyzed the evaluations of instructors and experts on flipped learning-based engineering in order to suggest improvement strategies. This study was conducted with 8 engineering courses which participated in the flipped learning course development project of C university from 2017-2018. As a result of the analysis, the instructors and experts pointed out that the pre-learning was not performed and checked effectively. In this regard, the instructors suggested the students' burden of pre-learning, the lack of understanding about flipped learning, and the experts suggested the lack of instructional strategies to facilitate pre-learning. In addition, the instructors and the experts pointed out that the courses were still instructor-centered. The instructors evaluated that they operated the instructor-led course by themselves. In addition, the experts suggested that there was not enough instructional strategies to activate the learner-centered activities. The number of the students and the lecture room environment that were not appropriate for the learner- centered class were the evaluation opinions of both the instructors and the experts. In addition, the professor suggested the lack of understanding and preparation of the flipped learning of the instructors and the learner as the main opinion, and the experts pointed out that the online learning system and classroom was not linked for pre-learning, classroom learning, and the post-learning. Based on these results, suggestions for improvement of flip learning based engineering course were suggested.

효율적인 실습교육 개선방안 - 한국해양대학교 해사대학의 경우 (A Study on the Efficient Improvement in the Shipboard Training)

  • This study is concerned with the efficient improvement in the shipboard training of trainees for the marine officers in the future. The shopboard training course is given much weight in the curriculum of the seamanship education for the characteristics of that. In spite of various earlier studies to improve shipboard training system, we don't have desirable one until now on this problem based upon practical and empirical analysis. It seems a matter of urgency should be settled to improve the training environment-training facilities and equipment including simulator education - for the efficient pratice off-shore during training vessels in port. And it is also desired to regulate downward the credit system needed to graduate that trainees should be immersed in their practice without regard to their school records if passed the course during the training period.

대학 교수자의 수업전문성 향상을 목적으로 하는 e-티칭 포트폴리오의 구성요소 탐색 (An Exploration on Elements of e-Teaching Portfolio for Enhancing Teaching Expertise in Higher Education)

  • This study has explored the elements of e-teaching portfolio for enhancing teaching expertise in higher education. This study is carried out through the literature review and expert's focus group interview. As the result of this study, seven elements of e-teaching portfolio for enhancing teaching expertise in higher education have been found. First, 'personal background' include curriculum vitae, course responsibility, and other educational activities. Second, 'teaching philosophy' include the principals on teaching and learning, statements of teaching philosophy. Third, 'learning environment' include the characteristics of students, the previous learning contents, and physical environment. Forth, 'course contents and methods' include teaching strategies and instructional materials, Fifth, 'instructional evaluation' includes the principals of evaluation and the examples of learning outcomes. Sixth, 'endeavor for improvement of instruction' include evidence of activity for teaching improvement and instruction feedback from peer and students. And e-teaching portfolio also includes research career and awards history element.

  • 본 연구는 '유치원 어린이집 간 격차 완화'를 위한 하나의 방안으로 '교육시설 질 균등화'를 위해 우선적으로 영유아 교육 보육 통합시설이 갖추어야 할 필요공간과 면적기준(안)을 제시하는 데 목적을 두었다. 그 결과 첫째, 영유아 교육 보육 통합시설에 필요한 공간의 종류를 표15와 같이 반드시 필요한 필수공간과 교육 보육 활동의 질적 수준을 높이기 위해 추가되면 좋을 권장공간으로 구분하여 제시하였다. 둘째, 영유아 교육 보육 통합시설의 필요 공간별 면적기준(안)을 표23과 같이 제시하였다. 아울러 영유아 교육 보육 통합시설에 필요한 영유아 1인당 대지면적과 연면적, 연면적 대비 공용면적의 비율을 각각 제시하였다.

공과대학 신입생의 동시적 온라인 글쓰기 수업에서 스캐폴딩이 쓰기 불안과 미디어 리터러시에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Scaffolding on Writing Apprehension and Media Literacy in Engineering Freshmen's Synchronous Online Writing Course)

  • This study aims to investigate effects of scaffolding on writing apprehension and media literacy in engineering freshmen's synchronous online writing course, and the relationships between the two variables. 'Scaffolding' is in-time support provided by a teacher/tutor or competent peer that enables students to meaningfully gain skills at problem solving process. Also, it is one of the most frequently mentioned concepts in education as well as one of the more necessary teaching strategies in an online writing course. In this study, provided treatments for the experiment were supportive scaffolding for domain-specific knowledge and reflective scaffolding for meta-cognitive knowledge. Participants were 102 engineering undergraduate students, who were assigned to two experimental groups by scaffolding types. A process-based writing course in online learning environment was conducted for 8 weeks. The writing tasks were given according to writing process. The findings were that, firstly, there were statistically significant writing apprehension's reduction and self-expression's improvement through the scaffolding provided in writing class. Secondly, writing apprehension's reduction and self-expression's improvement were significant in supportive scaffolding group. Thirdly, media literacy predicted writing apprehension. The practical implications of these findings are discussed herein, with particular attention on ways for writing apprehension's reduction as well as media literacy's enhancement.

  • To improve the educational system of Korea Maritime Police Agency(KMPA), the authors investigate and evaluate the present course and curricula in details comparing with the systems of USCG and JCG. As a result, it is suggested that KMPA find the diverse route to recruit good-quality officers, develop the future-oriented system, coordinate the course and curricula to meet the role and mission of KMPA. Besides, KMPA build the own training facility and train special instructors.

  • 모든 대학들이 예외없이 경쟁력 강화에 전력을 다하고 있는 현실에서 교육의 질 향상과 비용절감은 대학들이 당면하고 있는 긴급하고도 중대한 과제이다. 이를 위하여 본 논문은 변화하는 대학교육환경, 정보통신기술(ICT)을 바탕으로 한 교육 개선 방법들, 그리고 교과목 개편의 성공적 사례들에 대한 기술을 한 후에 질 향상과 비용절감을 동시에 추구하려는 e-Education 실행을 위하여 어떻게 ICT를 이용해야 하는가에 대한 전략적 틀을 제시한다.

  • The education of building services field at university is not enough, although the field has become to be very important in architectural engineering. This lack of education is one of the reason that the level of domestic building services field is lower than that in developed countries. Present conditions of related laws, fields of work after graduation and education at university in building services field have been studied, and education conditions have been investigated divided into four-year architectural engineering course and five-year architecture course. Though building services field has become more important at university education, the number of credits and professor of the field is still small than other fields of architectural engineering. More practical curriculums are necessary to meet the expectation of companies, and it will be one of the method to meet it that criteria of curriculum constitution is according to ABEEK(Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea) in more architectural engineering department.

한국 골프장의 친환경적 개발에 관한 연구 (Study of Pro-environmental Development for Golf Course in Korea)

  • Nowadays, there are increasing demands of golf courses and it is necessary to make more golf courses than the present. To do this, we need to improve the environmental problems with the regional inhabitants, and it is said that the first thing to be considered in developing any golf course in Korea is to preserve the environment. In this context, the purpose of this study is to set forth several design factors to lessen the negative impacts which are accompanied with the development of golf courses. 1. The present conditions of golf courses in Korea Many new golf courses have come into being, particularly since the late 1980s, and now, in the year of 1997, over one hundred of golf courses are doing their business, yet the number of golf course is still less than required. So far, over a half of them have been made in the vicinity of Seoul on account of various reasons, and this has adversely affected on our natural environment. This unreasonable development of golf courses has caused serious water pollution, landslides and the other problems. Also, the topography of Korea is not good for golf courses. Although the demands of golf courses are increasing, the suitable sites for them are very limited, and therefore it is sometimes unavoidable to make golf courses on steep hills.
