Machine Learning Approach to the Effects of the Superstore Mandatory Closing Regulation

  • Purpose - This paper is aimed to analyze the effects of the mandatory closing regulation targeting large retailers, which has been implemented since 2012 to protect small retailers. We examine the changes in consumers' choice of retailers and their purchasing patterns of agri-food following the implementation of such regulation. Research design, data, and methodology - Household spending patterns were identified through the historical data of household food purchase, consumer panel provided by the Rural Development Administration. Clustering was employed to determine the household spending patterns. Moreover, the different household spending patterns before and after the regulation were comparatively studied. The patterns of consumers' choice of retail stores and shopping baskets by the type of retailers, derived from the respective datasets before and after the regulation, were compared to analyze the effects of the regulation. Results -After the regulation, some consumers who used to shop at large retailers before the regulation changed their shopping places to small retailers. However, the product categories that consumers had mainly purchased before the regulation were rarely changed even after the regulation. Conclusions - Although the regulation helped migrate some of the consumers to small retailers, the regulation seemed to have failed to stimulate consumers to purchase the goods, normally bought at large retailers, from traditional markets. In other words, traditional markets are not effective substitutes for regulation-affected retailers.

레이저 가공된 내부 및 표면패턴을 가지는 도광판 성능 분석 (Performance analysis of light guide panel implemented with laser-processed inner and surface patterns)

  • We proposed new light guide panel (LGP) fabrication method exploiting laser-processed inner scatterers and surface pattern. The proposed method has achieved LGP performance improvement in both brightness and uniformity. The inner scatterers and surface pattern of grid type were fabricated with a 2nd harmonic Nd:YAG pulse laser engraving system and a $CO_2$ laser scanning system, respectively. In the implementation of LGP, inner scatterers was arranged in accordance with linear or curved pattern with changing density and surface pattern was engraved on the surface of an inner-scatterers embedded LGP. The increase of scatterers' density and the use of surface patterns in both linear and curved pattern provided high luminance and uniformity enhancement. While thecurved pattern incorporated with increased scatterers' density and surface patterns yielded brightness improvement with preserving good uniformity, the linear pattern showed highly localized brightness near the light entrance of the LGP. We can also observe that the uniformity was mainly determined by pattern of inner scatterers, and the brightness was improved by the higher density and the utilization of surface patterns. From the results, the use of laser-processed inner and surface patterns can be a potential alternative for efficient and simple LGP fabrication method.

합선 고장을 위한 IDDQ 테스트 패턴 발생기의 구현 (Implementation of IDDQ Test Pattern Generator for Bridging Faults)

  • IDDQ 테스팅은 CMOS 회로에서 발생되는 여러 종류의 물리적 결함을 효율적으로 검출하는 테스팅 방식이다. 본 논문에서는 테스트 대상회로의 게이트내부에서 발생하는 단락을 고려하여, 이 결함을 검출하기 위한 테스트 패턴을 찾아 주는 IDDQ 테스트 패턴 발생기를 구현하였다. 테스트 패턴을 생성하기 위해 게이트 종류별로 모든 내부 단락을 검출하는 게이트 테스트 벡터를 찾아냈다. 그리고 10,000개의 무작위패턴을 테스트대상 회로에 인가하여 각 게이트에서 요구되는 테스트 벡터를 발생시켜 주면 유용한 테스트 패턴으로 저장한다. 입력된 패턴들이 모든 게이트 테스트 벡터를 발생시켜 주거나 10,000개의 패턴을 모두 인가했을 경우 테스트 패턴 발생 절차를 종료한다. ISCAS '85 벤처마크 회로에 대한 실험을 통하여 기존의 다른 방식보다 성능이 우수함을 보여주었다.

R and S Arrays Approach for Transfer Function-Noise Model Identificaton

  • This paper proposes an approach to the identification of trnasfer function models. A strategy for the identification of the model structure is based on R and S arrays constructed by the impulse response function of the model. Theoretical patterns of the arrays associated with the model are investigated, and the practical implementation method of the suggested approach is also discussed. Finally two published samples are employed to demonstrate the practicability of the approach.

청소년의 예절수행 세대전이 및 가정생활건강성 -어머니와 청소년기 자녀를 중심으로- (Adolescents' Proper Manners and Strengths of Family Life : Generational Transfer between Mothers and Adolescent Children)

  • This research aims to verify the generation transfer of proper manners from mothers to adolescent children and the relationship between adolescents' proper manners and strengths of family life. The data from 826 questionnaires (413 pairs of adolescents and mothers) were used for the final analysis. The findings of the study are summarized as follows: First, as for the extent of the implementation of manners of mothers and adolescent children both parties generally abided by good manners, but a significant difference emerged in the patterns. Second, both mothers and adolescent children were influenced by psychological determinants of self-esteem, values of humanism, emotional intimacy between mother and child, and social support for the implementation of good manners. On the other hand, adolescent children were affected the most by the emotional intimacy with mothers. Third, children generally showed significant differences in their implementation of manners according to the manners their mothers. Fourth, there were significant differences in the strengths of family life for adolescent children depending on their implementation of manners. Fifth, when comparing the relative contribution of the mothers' psychological determinants on strengths of family life and adolescent children's psychological determinants on the implementation of manners, strengths of family life gained more credibility as more variables were added.

학습 기능을 내장한 신경 회로망의 하드웨어 구현 (Implementation of artificial neural network with on-chip learning circuitry)

  • A modified learning rule is introduced for the implementation of feedforward artificial neural networks with on-chip learning circuitry using standard analog CMOS technology. Learning rule, is modified form the EBP (error back propagation) rule which is one of the well-known learning rules for the feedforward rtificial neural nets(FANNs). The employed MEBP ( modified EBP) rule is well - suited for the hardware implementation of FANNs with on-chip learning rule. As a ynapse circuit, a four-quadrant vector-product linear multiplier is employed, whose input/output signals are given with voltage units. Two $2{\times}2{\times}1$ FANNs are implemented with the learning circuitry. The implemented FANN circuits have been simulatied with learning test patterns using the PSPICE circuit simulator and their results show correct learning functions.

  • UML은 OMG에 의해서 표준 객체지향 모델링 언어로 승인 받았다. 그러나, UML을 지원하는 몇몇의 CASE 도구들이 생성한 C++ 코드는 1대 n 관계나 aggregation 관계의 의미를 정확히 반영하지 못하고 있다. 또한, 상용 CASE 도구들이 하나의 UML 클래스 다이어그램에서 너무 많은 프로그래밍 언어를 지원하기 때문에, 그들은 C++언어가 가지는 특징을 효율적으로 지원하지 못하고 있다. 제안된 C++코드 생성기는 1대 n의 관계, aggregation 관계, 코드 패턴(code pattern), 디자인 패턴(design pattern)을 지원한다.본 논문에서는 UML 클래스 다이어그램 기반의 효율적인 C++ 코드 생성기의 설계와 구현에 대하여 기술한다.

  • 범죄발생 자료는 본질적으로 지리적인 속성을 내포하고 있기 때문에 범죄분석에 있어서 공간적 패턴을 파악하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 GIS의 지도화 기능과 공간통계 기법을 접목하여 범죄발생의 공간적 양상을 규명할 수 있는 ¨범죄분석 지리정보시스템¨의 원형(prototype)을 제작하였다. 이 시스템은 DBMS와 GIS를 연동하는 구조로서 점 자료(point data)의 공간분포 탐색, 범죄다발지역(hot-spot)의 지도화, 범죄발생의 군집성 분석 그리고 면(area)단위 집계자료 분석 등의 기능들로 구성된다. 시스템의 설계와 구현 과정은 객체지향 방법론에 의거하였으며, 본 시스템 이외에도 현재 개발 중에 있는 웹 기반 3-Tier 구조의 시스템은 범죄분석과 인터넷 지리정보시스템에 있어서 중요한 역할을 담당할 것으로 전망된다.

  • This study is to classify the typology of e-business model based on the practical strategic model for successful e-business implementation. For that purpose, we review the conceptual framework of e-business and collected the data from 127 companies implementing e-business. The study is conducted in three phases as follows. First, six factors consisted of 22 items are derived through factor analysis. Second, Cluster analysis is employed to group the firms into different strategic patterns. A five-cluster solution is found to maximize the distances between cluster means across the six factor patterns. The models are named as 'ascendancy and convergence', 'expansion and moderate price', 'expansion and improvement of quality', 'ascendancy and process', and 'improvement of quality' respectively. Third, ANOVA is used to examine the impact on the performance differences attributable to the models. The results of the study are; (1) the 'ascendancy and process', 'expansion and improvement of quality' and 'expansion and moderate price' models were associated with significantly higher performance levels than the 'improvement of quality' model, and (2) the hybrid strategies are needed to implement e-business successfully based on the 'ascendancy and process' model.

침입탐지시스템에서 긍정적 결함을 최소화하기 위한 학습 방법 (Learning Method for minimize false positive in IDS)

  • 시스템에서 사용 패턴의 다양화 때문에 비정상 행위 탐지 IDS를 구현하는 것은 오용탐지 IDS를 구현하는 것보다 많은 어려움이 있다. 따라서 상용화되어 있는 대부분의 IDS는 오용 탐지 방법에 의한 것이다. 그러나 이러한 오용 탐지 방법에 의한 IDS는 변형된 침입 패턴이 발생할 경우 탐지해내 지 못한다는 단점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 감사데이터간의 침입 관계를 가지고 침입을 탐지하기 위해 데이터 마이닝 기법을 적용한다. 분산되어 있는 IDS에서의 에이전트는 시스템을 감시할뿐만 아니라 로그데이터까지 수집할 수 있다. 침입탐지시스템의 핵심인 탐지정확도를 높이기 위해 긍정적 결함이 최소화 되어야 한다. 따라서 감사데이터 학습단계에서 변형된 침입 패턴을 예측하기 위해서 데이터 마이닝 알고리즘을 적용한다.
