  • This paper presents a fast partitioning heuristic for hardware/software codesign called Best Imaginary Level-Iterative(BILI) partitioning which iteratively applies BIL heterogeneous multiprocessor scheduling heuristic to minimize the cost within the given time constraint. The proposed algorithm solves the partitioning problem with the implementation bin selection problem as well as architectures with multiple software modules. It costs about 15% less than the GCLP and at most about 5% more than the optimal solution obtained by the Integer Linear Programming(ILP) algorithm.

  • Recently, annual usage of energy is dramatically increasing because industrialization is going faster and more electricity is needed due to various electronic devices. This study focused on the performance characteristics of solar cell using the impedance technique. The experiment measured an impedance according to frequency's from 2 mHz until 1 MHz. It could know that the impedance was decreased according to the frequency increases in solar cell. The imaginary part was changed from capacitance component to inductance component.

  • This Paper proposes the new method of Nodal Price calculation on nonoptimal condition of power system. It uses Power Flow instead of Optimal Power Flow. We propose a idea of imaginary constraints at the first. And the proposed method is applied to IEEE-30 and results show the effectiveness of the method.

  • Satellite Image archiving system requires large storage and long transmission time. A simple and cheap way of overcoming these limitations is to increase the compression ratio. However this requires a feasibility study for accurate applications. Here, a new still image compression standard is being developed, the JPEG2000. It provides lossless and lossy compression, progressive transmission by pixel accuracy and by resolution, region-of-interest coding, user-defined tiling size, random codestream access and processing etc. In this study, we will briefly introduce the JPEG2000 compression standard which provides a new compression technique based on the wavelet technology and offers better compression ratios, and evaluate the compression ratios of JPEG2000 for satellite image by performing various image quality tests. Also, we will compare brief test result using the commercial remote sensing software.

  • Let η be the complex upper half plane, let h($\tau$) be a cusp form, and let $\tau$ be an imaginary quadratic in η. If h($\tau$)$\in$$\Omega$( $g_{2}$($\tau$)$^{m}$ $g_{3}$ ($\tau$)$^{ι}$with $\Omega$the field of algebraic numbers and m. l positive integers, then we show that h($\tau$) is integral over the ring Q[h/$\tau$/n/)…h($\tau$+n-1/n)] (No Abstract.see full/text)

  • Let p be an odd prime. Let E be an elliptic curve defined over a quadratic imaginary field, where p splits completely. Suppose E has supersingular reduction at primes above p. Under appropriate hypotheses, we extend the results of [17] to ℤ2p-extensions. We define and study the fine double-signed residual Selmer groups in these settings. We prove that for two residually isomorphic elliptic curves, the vanishing of the signed 𝜇-invariants of one elliptic curve implies the vanishing of the signed 𝜇-invariants of the other. Finally, we show that the Pontryagin dual of the Selmer group and the double-signed Selmer groups have no non-trivial pseudo-null submodules for these extensions.

  • The purpose of this study is to apply iconology to discover the symbolic system of imaginary animals focused on four representative auspicious animals in Korean folk paintings. Study methods included literature review of folk paintings, iconological analytics books, and articles. A total of 16 folk paintings of four auspicious animals in the Joseon Dynasty were analyzed using Panofsky's iconology. The four auspicious animals were Yong(dragon), Bonghwang(the eastern version of the phoenix), Shingoo (divine turtle), and Kirin(one-horned combination of a dragon and horse). According to iconological analysis, Yong is a typical symbol of royal authority, a deity of water as an object of respect with a remarkable talent of transformation, and in iconographical interpretation, represents reverence for transcendent power. Bonhwang is the symbol of a king, sun worship, the emblem of nobility and integrity, and in iconographical interpretation, the psychic bing in the sky. Shingoo is fortune prophecy, longevity and immortality, an envoy of deity, and according to iconographical interpretation, the organic view of the world. Kirin is a divine benign creature, a symbol of talent and honor, mediator between sky and earth, and in iconographical interpretation, an expression of Confucian ideology. This study produced three results. First, the four auspicious animals projected the human hope to overcome human limitations through divine creatures with mythical abilities. Second, they reflected everyday common hopes and values of pursuing fortunes and happiness. Third, the four auspicious animals' iconology was not independent of each other; it seemed to be common to and combined with each other.

  • There are many methods for Human-Computer Interface. Recently, many researchers are studying about Brain-Signal this is because not only the disabled can use a computer by their thought without their limbs but also it is convenient to general people. But, studies about it are early stages. This paper proposes an EEG signals measurement and analysis methods for Brain-Computer Interface. Our purpose of this research is recognition of subject's intention when they imagine moving their arms. EEG signals are recorded during imaginary movement of subject's arms at electrode positions Fp1, Fp2, C3, C4. We made an analysis ERS(Event-Related Synchronization) and ERD(Event-Related Desynchronization) which are detected when people move their limbs in the ${\mu}$ waves and ${\beta}$ waves. Results of this research showed that ${\mu}$ waves are decreased and ${\beta}$ waves are increased at left brain during the imaginary movement of right hand. In contrast, ${\mu}$ waves are decreased and ${\beta}$ waves are increased at right brain during the imaginary movement of left hand.
