A Study on the Illegal Copy Prevention and Tracking for Copyright Protection in Power Line Communication Home Networking Environment (PLC 홈 네트워킹 환경에서 저작권 보호를 위한 불법 복제 방지 및 추적에 관한 연구)

  • 본 논문에서는 워터마크가 삽입된 데이터의 저작권 보호를 위하여 데이터의 복제 시 신속한 위치추적을 통한 불법 복제 방지 시스템을 제안하고 시뮬레이션 하였다. 제안된 방법은 복사기, 프린터, 스캐너 등에 부착된 워터마크 검출 장치로부터 워터마크 검출 시 원 워터마크 이미지와 추출된 워터마크이미지가 일정 비 이상의 상관관계가 있을 경우 불법 복제 상황으로 간주하고, 디지털 데이터로 변환된 워터마크 이미지와 주소 정보가 전력선을 통하여 전송된다. 수신단에서는 수신된 데이터의 발신자 정보를 통해 위치정보를 알아내어 불법 복제 작업현장의 위치를 추적한다. 전력선을 통신선로로 이용 시 전송신호는 전력선 채널 환경에서 임펄스 잡음에 많은 영향을 받기 때문에 본 논문에서는 제안한 시스템의 검증을 위해 AWGN과 임펄스 잡음을 고려하고 잡음 특성이 우수하고 신뢰성이 비교적 강한 DS-CDMA/BPSK 시스템을 통해 제안된 시스템을 시뮬레이션 하였다. 또한, 열악한 채널 환경으로부터 수신성능을 개선하기 위해 컨벌루션 부호화기법을 적용하여 성능 개선 전 후의 복원 이미지의 성능을 비교 분석 하였다.

  • It is issued that protecting and managing a copyright are very important to a digitization of multimedia contents. We analyze the trend of a multimedia service, IPMP(Intellectual Property Management and Protection), DMP(Digital Media Project), ENTHRONE(End-to-end Qos through Integrated Management of Content, Networks and Terminals), and DRM(Digital Rights Management). All of these techniques are for developing solution about protection and management of the copyright and media service. These have been at the head of the growth of the whole media service, but cause problems such as a illegal copy and distribution. To solve these problems, researchers are performing many projects.

There are 2D composition and Editing software, 3D production software and rendering Software as major part and motion capture, 3D Digitizing and other software operate in and out facilities in small part in Digital Contents Creation Software area. Most of Digital Contents Creation Software made by foreign countries such as USA and Canadian film, game and animation Digital Contents Creation industry, this causes higher production cost and lower profit of studios and usage of illegal copy of Digital Contents Creation Software as well. This thesis tried to present a solution to use Freeware Software in production process by researching and analyzing international and domestic software market and global trend of Freeware Software and present Freeware Software software in each production steps. This thesis include performance test of commercial render Freeware software.

  • This study conducts a questionnaire with undergraduate students in the Dept. of Architecture who will lead the architectural field in future, examines environment and perception of CAD in their home and universities and aims at supplying the data required for setting CAD educational index and building its use environment, and it could obtain the following results. Individual CAD environment of undergraduate students in the Dept. of Architecture reach a considerable level in hardware part, but they don't have the same level in software part as the hardware and use illegal copy programs. It is shown that they spend their time in using CAD for five to eight hours a week and its main purposes are to perform a project related to architectural design or make report requiring drawing. Major places using CAD are CAD room in university or public PC room equipped with CAD compared to their own houses and most of them have a negative recognition of the convenience of its use. Their satisfaction with CAD use is considerably high and when they submitted their assignments of architectural design project by means of CAD, they had a positive evaluation from their professors and they have such hopes that 'Korean Support Strengthening', 'lowering price through version supply for students' and 'diversification of design symbol' in CAD S/W, and especially, most of respondents have an intention to purchase the original goods when version only for students will be marketed in future. Accordingly, for a qualitative improvement of CAD environment for undergraduate students in the Dept. of Architecture, universities must be equipped with the various types of CAD S/W and Applications and students' opportunity to access them should be increased. In addition, a method which can enhance using convenience of CAD room and PC room is required and CAD related S/W developers must market the version for students which consider the reality of undergraduates in Korea properly with an appropriate price level in order to settle a sound S/W culture.

  • Recently the commercial value of GIS(geographic information system) has been increased with growing application demands of spatial information in life space. Also, GIS has been expanded to the integrated information system that provides the ease access to map information by public users and also the combined service of GIS map data and various multimedia contents. But several security problems of GIS map data have brought up at GIS industries, such as the illegal copy and distribution of GIS map data. Furthermore, the copyright protection of GIS map data has not been researched yet compared with image and video contents. This paper presents a polyline based watermarking scheme for the copyright protection of GIS vector map. The proposed scheme analyzes the structure of vector map and embeds adaptively the watermark by using the distance distribution of polyline components. From experimental results, we verified that the proposed scheme satisfies the invisibility and the robustness of geometrical attacks.

  • In ubiquitous environment, more small, lightweight, cheap and movable device is used than one device used in wired network environment. Multimedia service which is anytime, anywhere, is provided by device. However, it does not ensure the fair use of multimedia contents and causes damage to the contents providers because of illegal copy and distribution and indiscriminate use of digital contents. For solving this problems, DRM is applied to wired network but it has the problems does not protect stored license and manage license completely because of depending on simple protection such as device authentication and cryptographic algorithm. This paper proposes the license management model using digital forensic and DRM that prevents contents and licenses from distributing illegally and also enables the creation of evidence for legal countermeasure and the protection of license in whole life cycle.

  • The digital content was supplied quickly with advancement of video compressive technique and the network. Simultaneously illegal copy and diffuse via Internet, it was caused to necessitate the intellectual property right protection of the digital content. With this background, Various standardization groups and content provision enterprises developed the solution for a digital content protection. But the problem which lack interoperability is appeared, cause of independent development among other equipment. To find solution about this, MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group) has progressed standardization against IPMP (Intellectual Property Management and Protection) techniques which are possible interoperability. In spite of it, with reason why insufficient function, DMP(Digital Media Project) standard was presented with the alternative against this. In this paper, we analyze MPEG IPMP standards and DMP ToolPack concepts to compare between them, and through these, designed and implemented digital content protection system which possible interoperability.

  • The use of digital imaging technique and digital contents based on internet has grown rapidly for last several years, and the needs of digital image protection become more important. For the purpose of copyright protection on digital image, the verification of authentication techniques like content authentication, ownership authentication, illegal copy and etc are needs. Digital watermarking, the invisible encryption technique to insert digital watermarking into image, the sophisticated perceptual information should be used for providing transparency and robustness of images on watermarking process. In this paper, we implement the algorithm for preventing forged attack. ownership protection and authentication by transforming the wavelet algorithms in frequency domain in terms of human visual system.

  • There have been increasing consumption of luxury fashion and recent marketing researches on luxury syndrome, trading up, etc. in mass fashion today. Historically the consumption of luxury had been concentrated on only upper class in the past. But since 20th century, the mass consumers of modern consumptive society show their interests in luxuries which had been preoccupation of few elite class. Accordingly, it can be thought that the historical review on the changes in the meaning of luxury should be necessary for a better understanding of modern luxury consumption in sociocultural context. The purpose of this study is to grasp the sociocultural meaning of luxury in modern fashion with a holistic viewpoint by examining the changes of luxury consumption in mass fashion. It will be helpful as a conceptual approach of modern luxury consumption. For this, the documentary study has been executed. It focused on since 20th century, which can be the root of mass productive and consumptive society in fashion history. The results are as follows. The luxury in court elite system before 20th century had been concentrated on few elite class exclusively but gradually began to be represented as inferior cheaper version by mass production according to their increasing interests since industrial revolution. The luxuries in elite designer system in the first half of 20th century were represented as illegal design piracy and legal genuine reproduction in spite of problems brought about between originality and copy. The concept of mass as consumer was virtually alienated in both systems. But in fashion system since the second half of 20th century, various types of consumer luxuries has appeared on account of the trading up phenomenon in drastic growth of mass culture.
