교과중심 교육과정에서의 정보영역 교육과정 구성 방향 (Information Domain Curriculum Composition Direction in Subject-Centered Curriculum)

  • 이 연구는 국내의 교과중심 교육과정체제에서 정보영역 교육과정을 어떻게 구성해야 하는지에 대한 방향성에 대한 것이다. 이를 위해 교과중심과 역량중심 교육과정을 비교 분석하였으며 2개의 유형에서 정보영역이 어떻게 편제되어 있는지를 제시하였다. 국내 교육과정은 역량을 강조하지만 국가수준의 교육목표 제시, 교과학습모형, 교과서 등을 강조하고 있어서 교과중심 교육과정에 치우친 형태로 판단하였다. 정보영역 교과중심 교육과정 사례로 초등 실과과의 정보영역, 중학교 정보교과를 제시하였으며 SW융합교육과정은 진보적인 교육과정 사례로 제시하였다. 이와 같은 여건에서 SW AI 내용을 포함하는 정보영역을 통해 학습자가 미래 지능형사회에서 주도적인 생활을 하기 위해서는 컴퓨터과학을 모학문으로 하여 교과중심 관점으로 명시적으로 기술되어야 함을 강조하였다.

영아보육과정의 연구동향 및 운영실태 관련 연구 분석: 제3차 표준보육과정 시행 이후 연구를 바탕으로 (Research Analysis Related to Research Trends and the Operation Status of Childcare Curriculum for 0 to 2 Year-Olds: Based on Research After the 3rd Standard Childcare Curriculum)

  • Objective: The objective of this study is to investigate the tendency of research in relation to childcare curriculum for 0 to 2 year-olds, and then to analyze and understand the results of precedent research about the status of the operation of Childcare Curriculum. Methods: The analytic data utilized in this research contains a total of 45 research results about childcare curriculum for 0 to 2 year-olds. Results: First, the research methods were focused on quantitative research. Regarding research topics, the status of the operation of Childcare Curriculum, and contents and programs of Childcare Curriculum received high attention. Second, while, childcare teachers showed an awareness of the Childcare Curriculum, they made few efforts to investigate and understand it in depth. It was reported that a lack of multiple support systems would serve as an obstacle to the operation of Childcare Curriculum. Conclusion/Implications: There is a need for childcare centers, academic circles and the government to pay an even greater deal of attention to the childcare curriculum for 0 to 2 year-olds. In addition, structural and policy support is required, such as revitalizing case-based teacher training, lowering the ratio of teachers to children, and improving working conditions for infant teachers.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze and compare dental hygine curriculum of three countries--Korea, U.S.A., and Japan--, focusing on the ways of organizing content. In this study, 30 curriculum documents of dental hygienist in U.S., Japan, and Korea were analyzed and discussed by a framework of analysis which was constructed referring to Tylerian curriculum model. Using this framework, three kinds of key components of curriculum document were compared according to specific elements of each component. More specifically, comparing those curriculum documents, we must consider the dimension of content organization. In this study, the problem of course organization was viewed on three dimensions: continuity, sequence, and integration of curriculum content. Based on the results of this study, the conclusions are as follows. 1. Courses of dental hygienist education should be organized so that the curriculum foster the cumulative and continuous learning. It will be accomplished by considering the essential procedures or sequence of dental hygiene activities. 2. When organizing curriculum elements, we should consider the continuity dimension of learning content. Continuity deals with the vertical manipulation or repetition of curriculum components. In other words, it accounts for the reappearance in the curriculum of certain major ideas or skills. Therefore, courses should be based on the level of the dental hygienist activities in order to ensure a continuity of learning experiences. 3. Dental hygienist curriculum must be organized in a way to integrate the logic of dental hygiene as a discipline with the process of dental hygiene performance. Integration refers to the linking of all types of knowledge and experiences contained within the curriculum design. It emphasizes horizontal relations among various content topics and themes involving all domains of knowledge recognized. Thus, courses of dental hygiene curriculum should be integrated to allow college students to obtain a unified view of knowledge and an in-depth meaning of the dental hygiene as a profession.

현행 초등 수학 교과서에 대한 개선점과 개선 방향 (Improvements and Enhancements to the Direction of Current Elementary Mathematics Textbooks)

  • 본 연구는 2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 현재의 초등 수학 교과서가 개발 당시에 기대했던 점들과 지금까지 수학 교과서에 제기되었던 주요 문제점들이 수업을 진행한 교사들의 입장에서, 얼마나 개선되었는지에 대하여 스토리텔링, 흥미도와 자신감, 수학적 과정, 학습 내용의 양과 적절성, 평가, 수학의 유용성과 외형의 7개 부문의 20개 문항으로 나누어 설문 조사를 하였다. 그 결과, 교사들의 전체적인 경향은 긍정적이었다. 구체적으로 외형, 스토리텔링, 수학 유용성은 상당히 긍정적이었고, 수학적 과정, 학습내용의 양과 적절성 부문은 긍정적이었다. 그러나 흥미도와 자신감 그리고 스스로 학습하기 부문은 큰 변화가 없어 그 원인 파악이 필요해 보였다. 이러한 연구 결과가 앞으로 새로운 수학과 교육과정에 따라 교과서 개발과정에서 개발방향이나 활용에 대한 효과의 제고를 위해 의미 있는 자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

유치원 수학과 교육과정과 초등학교 수학과 교육과정의 연계성 분석 연구 (An Analysis of the Connection in the Mathematics Curriculums Between Kindergarten and Elementary School)

  • 본 연구는 유치원 교육과정과 초등학교 수학과 교육과정의 개발에서 두 교육과정을 연계시키는데 도움을 줄 수 있는 시사점을 찾고자, 5세 누리과정과 이에 따른 교사용 지도서의 수학 지도 내용, 그리고 현행 초등학교 1학년 수학과 교육과정 및 그에 따른 교과서의 지도 내용 사이의 연계성을 분석한 것이다. 그 결과 다음의 여섯 가지 시사점을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 도형 영역의'공간적 관계'나 확률과 통계 영역의 '자료 수집'과 같이, 5세 누리과정에서 완성되고 있는 내용을 1학년 교육과정과 연계시킬 필요가 있다. 둘째, 5세 누리과정과 1학년 교육과정이 연계되지는 않지만, 2~6학년 교육과정이 연계되는 경우, 어느 한 교육과정을 기준으로 위계를 재조정할 필요가 있다. 셋째, $\ll$K-지도서$\gg$가 5세 누리과정을 준수하고 있는 지 검토할 필요가 있다. 넷째, $\ll$K-지도서$\gg$의 각 [활동]에서 5세 누리과정 관련 요소와 초등학교 교육과정 관련을 재검토할 필요가 있다. 다섯째, $\ll$K-지도서$\gg$의 각 [활동]에서 수학 지도 내용을 명시적이고 체계적으로 취급할 필요가 있다. 여섯째, 교육과정 개발에서 유아수학교육 전문가와 초등수학교육 전문가 사이의 협업 체제가 마련될 필요가 있다.

  • The investigation of the curriculum in other countries provides meaningful implications to reflect our own curriculum. Since Korea is now under the curriculum revision, international comparative research was conducted with the curricula of Singapore and India to elicit some implications. These two countries were especially chosen because their curricula have not been actively investigated yet. Singapore mathematics curriculum starts the tracking based on students' mathematical ability from the 4th grade, and provides different curricula for the three tracks. This differentiated curriculum provides rich implications to next Korean curriculum which aims to classify the contents based on students' mathematical achievements. Indians, who have contributed significantly in the history of mathematics, have unique mathematics curriculum, remote from so called 'canonical curriculum'. After the U.S. announced the Curriculum and Evaluation Standard for School Mathematics in 1989 and the Principles and Standards for School Mathematics in 2000, many countries benchmarked these NCTM documents, and Korea was no exception. Since each country has their own school system, educational environment, and national mentality, it is not desirable to just adopt the curriculum of other countries. In this regard, Indians who have preserved their own mathematics curriculum can be a model. In sum, when we revise the curriculum, it is required to keep the balance between the open-mindedness to accept the strengths of other curricula, and the conservative attitude to preserve our own characteristics of the curriculum.

DACUM 기법에 의한 치과코디네이터 실무형 교육과정 개발 (Development of practical curriculum for dental coordinator based on DACUM)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to analyze the duties of dental coordinators using the DACUM technique and to develop a practical training course for dental coordinators based on the results. Methods: The curricula for clinic coordinators across 20 educational institutions were analyzed. A board of DACUM specialists was assembled to analyze the role of dental coordinators and to develop a practical curriculum. Results: First, after analysis, we selected 8 duties and 34 tasks that should comprise the role of a dental coordinator, and the number of major tasks was 21. Second, the educational program for dental coordinators developed in this study consisted of a total of 60 hours, including 42 hours of lecture and 18 hours of practice. A pre-requisite curriculum and a final curriculum were developed, and the detailed educational contents and supplies were outlined for each subject. Third, after comparing it with the existing clinic coordinator curricula from 20 educational institutions, the curriculum based on DACUM contained 11 additional fields. Conclusions: This study developed a more specialized, detailed, and practical dental coordinator curriculum based on DACUM. It is expected that more dental coordinators could be trained more professionally with this curriculum, and it could lead to further improvement of the curriculum.

실업계고등학교와 일반계고등학교의 연계 교육과정 모형 개발과 운영 (The Development and Operation of A Connected Curriculum Model between Vocational High School and General High School)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop and operate a curriculum which is able to connect a vocational high school to a general high school. That curriculum makes it possible to meet the necessity of accepting the learning rights for the students of a small scale school located in a rural community. And also, it is able to broaden the implementation of the elective-centered curriculum in the $7^{th}$ curriculum. So, We developed a connected curriculum model which fulfills to the utmost the requirement of a few students who want to go to a collage after finishing vocational high school and who want to get a job after finishing general high school in a electing their subjects and then operated it with student's moving to the connected schools on a Saturday. In this study, we got the results as follows: First, we prepared the curriculum environments which can accept the learning-demands of students in a small scale school located in a rural community. To do so, we publicized the curriculum of a vocational high school connected to that of a general high school, made questions, and organized the committee of students, parents and teachers and so on. Second, we organized and implemented the connected curriculum so that a small number of students could learn the subjects they demands. So, a small number of the vocational high school students could have learned the 'Math I' and 'English Conversation' which were not allowed in their school. And also, a small number of the general high school students who hope to have an occupation after graduation could have learned 'Web Design' subject. Third, we examined the problems and presented the solving methods according to organizing and implementing the connected curriculum. So we could have served as an aid on building up the foundation of the generation of the elective-centered curriculum.

  • 본 연구에서는 의도-작성-실행된 교육과정이라는 일련의 다차원 교육과정적 관점에서 초등 수학의 연산 중 기본이 되는 덧셈과 뺄셈의 어림셈 지도 방식에 대하여 논의하였다. 실행된 교육과정에서 출발하여 작성-의도된 교육과정의 상향식 피드백 방식으로 덧셈과 뺄셈의 어림셈 지도에 대한 교수·학습 방법 면에서의 쟁점 사항을 파악하고 이를 개선하기 위한 시사점을 도출하였다.

  • Now in Korea, the 7th curriculum reform is underway. The main difference of the seventh curriculum compared with former curricula is that it puts much emphasis on individual difference. It is a "differentiated" curriculum. The basic directions of the 7th mathematics curriculum are as follows: 1. Offer various mathematical subjects for "Selective Educational Period" (Grades 11 and 12). 2. 30% reduction of mathematical contents. 3. The reconciliation of domain names of school mathematics. 4. The use of computers and calculators in mathematics classrooms.
