  • The purpose of this paper is to find the factors that affect on the job involvement of S/W developer in the small and medium IT companies. We suggested structural model with two mediating variables, role conflicts and attitude of workers. The model considered job competency(job knowledge, technological competences, and communication skill) as independent variables which affect on the mediating variables directly and final dependent variable indirectly. The hypotheses tests showed that the job knowledge affected negatively on the role conflicts as the hypothesis assumed, but technological competences affected positively(reserve direction) on the role conflicts. This finding means that the more he/she has good job skill and technologies, the more does he required to do many things in the organization. The results of path analysis showed that attitude of workers mediated between the role conflicts and job involvement significantly. We concluded that although the workers are suffered from the role conflicts, it could be mitigated by their job knowledge and the favorite attitude toward their job, and finally they could more involve in their job.

  • The purpose of this study is to summarize the variables for making the power expansion of terrorist organizations possible by analyzing the power transitions among the Somalia governments and terrorisms. For this, I created a framework after extracting the independent variables affecting the power transition using the theories of Hans J. Morgenthau, A.F.K Organski, K.J. Holsti. On the basis of these, I analyzed the power transitions among the organizations from August 2012(the foundation of Federal government) to August 2019. According to the results, the power area of the federal government is extremely narrowed, whereas the power areas of al-Shabaab, ISIS, and neutral conflict are largely expanded. The factors in the framework were embodied as the delay of powerful federal government foundation, the shortage of national military forces, the limitation of effective use of foreign forces, the continuation of cooperation and antagonism among armed terrorist organization, sanctuary environment of terrorists using the Sharia law, advantages of force recruitment resulted from the bad economic conditions, public support suitable for the Somalia environment. All of these factors work the causes of lasting anarchy condition of the federal government of Somalia by making the settlement of conflict against terrorist organizations.

  • Recently, with the MZ generation's entry into society and the social participation of the female population, conflicts are occurring between workplace groups that value WLB and existing groups that emphasize collaboration due to differences in work orientation. Public institutions and companies that utilize work-life balance support systems show differences in job Commitment depending on the nature of the work and the activation of the support system. Accordingly, it is necessary to verify the effectiveness of the WLB support system actually operated by the company and present universally valid standards. The purpose of this study is, first, to verify the effectiveness of the support system for work-life balance and to find practical consensus amid changes in policies and perceptions of the working environment. Second, the influence of work-life balance level and job immersion according to work characteristics was analyzed to verify the mutual influence in order to establish standards for WLB operation that reflects work characteristics. For the study, a 2X2 matrix model was used to analyze the impact of work-life balance and work characteristics on job commitment, and four hypotheses were established. First, analysis of the job involvement level of conflict-type group members, second, analysis of the job involvement level of leading group members, third, analysis of the job involvement level of agreeable group members, and fourth, analysis of the job involvement level of cooperative group members. To conduct this study, an online survey was conducted targeting employees working in public institutions and large corporations. The survey was conducted for a total of 9 days from October 23 to 31, 2023, and 163 people responded, and the analysis was based on a valid sample of 152 people, excluding 11 copies that were insincere responses or gave up midway. As a result of the study's hypothesis testing, first, the conflict type group was found to have the lowest level of job engagement at 1.43. Second, the proactive group showed the highest level of job engagement at 4.54. Third, the conformity group showed a slightly lower level of job involvement at 2.58. Fourth, the cooperative group showed a slightly higher level of job involvement at 3.80. The academic implications of the study are that it subdivides employees' personalities into factors based on the level of work-life balance and nature of work. The practical implications of the study are that it analyzes the effectiveness of WLB support systems operated by public institutions and large corporations by grouping them.

First, work stress classified by age group was found as the biggest stress factor among radiotechnologists in their 30s. Among radiotechnologists in their 20s, 40s and 50s, the biggest stress factor was communication problems. Second, as the result of system efficiency analysis, high values were found in organizational immersion and job satisfaction among radiotechnologists in their 20s and oncology division has the highest values in concentrating the system and job satisfaction. For this result, statistically significant differences were observed among groups. Third, in terms of the sub-factors of work stress, communication problem was found as the variable that exerted statistically significant impact to organizational effectiveness. However, no statistically significant differences were observed inadministrative and personal problems. Job stress decreases as communication within the organizations or communication with other divisions becomes more successful. • To assess and understand the level of job burnout among the medical librarians and identify the factors affecting it, email survey, consisting of questions regarding personal background, organization characteristics, degree of burnout, and coping activities, was administered for two weeks in December 2016, to the librarians in 138 institutions affiliated with the Korean Medical Library Association. MBI-GS is used as a burnout measuring instrument. Data collected from 158 librarians (response rate 65.6%), were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and correlation analysis methods. According to MB-GS norm, respondents experience moderate level of exhaustion and professional efficacy, however the level of cynicism is extremely high. There are significant statistical differences in burnout, depending on age, medical librarian certificate, work experience, type of library, job coverage, and coping activities. There are also statistical significant correlations between workload, role conflict, decision making process and performance evaluation, organization communication, IT environment, continuing education and burnout. Based on the results, recommendations to alleviate burnout are suggested in individual, organizational, and professional association context.
